A hard man is good to beat

January

January gives us a whole new year to play with. I intend to use it carefully.

New Galleries

Miss Mara, circus strong woman is a nice addition. You should also check out the Shopping Mall, where there's more from the OJ Heller collection, courtesy of LH Art.

Kandor Krushed is a Gallery of scissors for the terminal scissor-lovers. In fact, in one of the pictures, you can see the terminal being used. He's also written an account of the art of being scissored, and rates four scissorers, using a system from one to five skulls.

The Library

Speaking of Sandi - David Sullivan is back, and he's writing another Sandi story, the first part is already up. Also, there's a competition, go to the Sandi Stone bookshelf for details. You can win a year's subscription to the web site. You should have a look at the Ursa area.

It's 1300BC in the Aegean Sea and Ursa is captain of the merchant ship Isis.

Meet Ursa. Her name means "bear" and she's 5'-5" and 180lbs of solid bone and muscle. A terror in a tunic, she's infamous for her rib-cracking bear hugs; and those arm punches, it's just her way of saying "hello".

Ursa is a Mycenaean Age female sea captain who inherited her father's ship and with her Nubian partner and first mate, Rehena, another muscle chick, trades and raises Hades on the Mediterranean Sea in the years just before the Trojan War.

And there's a contest to write a story, with a prize for the winner.

The list of growth stories has been updated, for people who love muscle growth.

Make sure you read Montrose's new story, the Video Shop.

New artists

In Ladybumps, we welcome Hocus Pocus and his magic, helping to achieve levels that nature and mere silicone cannot reach. Another new artist, Pierre, used to work with Stan (the man) Lee. If you don't know who Stan Lee is, then you don't know comics.

The Movie Theatre

Another series; I took "Training to win", shrunk the size from 384*288 to 192*144, reduced the frames per second by half, sliced it up into one minute segments, all of which gives me files between three and five megabytes, handy for downloading, and that will be appearing every two days in the Movie Theatre.

There's also some great clips from Maxine Legroom; leg lovers should visit the Gallery, download the clips, and then if they want more, hop over to the Shopping Mall to buy the video.

This style of showing lots of stills, and several clips from a video is something I hope to do more of in future; it means that anyone whinking of getting that video, will have a very good idea of what's in it before he orders it.

You can also see clips from the Sonia/Giles encounters.

"Training to win" on CD Rom

Training to Win stars Nicole Bass, training for the Nationals (which, as you know, she won, so there's no suspense, just massive muscle in motion). Forty minutes of fantastic fortitude, as Nicole puts all her determination into creating the body that won in Dallas and earned her a place in the Ms Olympia contest.

You can download clips from this video in the Movie Theatre, although obviously the clips are less resolution and reduced frames per second, so they aren't as good as the real thing.

The whole CD Rom is about 650 mb; there's no way I could put something that size up for download. So you'll find it in the Shopping Mall, $25 for members of the web site, $40 for non-members.

Newsgroups

I added alt.sex.spanking, in spite of tearful requests not to. You'll probably have noticed that a few of my Sagas feature spanking, where spanking is necessary. Valkyries approve of spanking, provided it's done for a good reason, with the bare hand, and followed by hugs and kisses afterwards.

With dogs it's different; you should use a rolled-up newspaper, and the object isn't to hurt the dog, but to let him know that he's been naughty. Like the water-spray idea, but less messy.

Hmm. I wonder if you could use the water-spray on men. No, it would be too messy, you'd have to dry them off afterwards.

Diana the Valkyrie Video

A lot of people asked me when I was going to start doing videos. The answer is, now. The first production is a double-feature starring Sonia Fernandes, and the two features are "Sonia meets Giles" and "The Return of Giles". Knockouts, scissors, face sitting, lift-and-carry, full nelsons, and even some rather poweful punches. Something for everyone.

I've done several hundred screen captures, of a reasonable quality; if you look through the new Sonia Fernandes Galleries, it's almost like watching the video, because I took a screen capture every few seconds. Plus a dozen video clips, in AVI and MPG format. You can download those, and if you want more, you can visit the Shopping Mall and get the video.

A couple of innovations; PAL format doesn't cost extra (Europeans will be pleased) and the PAL quality is at least as good as the NTSC quality, because it isn't a conversion, I make both PAL and NTSC from the master. And postage, packing, shipping, handling and tax is included in the price, which means at $40 for a 52 minute tape, it's very keen.

I hope it's going to be the first of many.

The Clubhouse

The big news here, is that I grouped all the social stuff (chat, messages, events and so on) in the Clubhouse. I also moved the Message Boards and Chat Room to a second server, to balance the load, and I changed the chat room software.

It's a bit early to say about the new chat room software. Obviously any change takes geting used to, but the different colours for different people is very nice, and so is the option to have it scroll either way round. Old chat messages are still available, but in an archive rather than via the chatroom itself, which makes it a lot faster.

A few people have said that moving to the new computer has made things horribly slow for them. They're a minority, so the problem isn't the server, it must be something to do with the way the new server talks to their browser. I'm looking into this, and I've ordered a new server which might help.

Most people say they like the new chatroom. A few have asked why I don't use Parachat or one of those types of chat rooms. The answer is, quite a lot of browsers can't handle them, and I want the chat room to be available to every silver member, not just the ones with the latest greatest browsers.

Also, check out the Chatroom Archive; you can see what people were saying while you weren't there, and see who you missed meeting. By the way, all the information I'm giving here, is what they posted themselves in the Chat Room, so it's publicly available. Some regulars:

And dozens of others. If you want to see, go to the Archives and see who's been chatting and what they said. But don't just read - participate! If you don't play, you can't win.

We discussed making stamping on the ISP names of Message Board posters, because we've had a few incidents of people pretending to be other posters, usually in an attempt to discredit them, which is remarkably ill-mannered. The general feeling was that people didn't want that much loss of anonymity, so instead, I'm doing that but making it an option.

Peeping Tom persuaded me to add a Message Board for the kindler, gentler sports like rugby and American football. And, of course, I took the Christmas board down. If you didn't get put into a Valkyrie's stocking, then maybe next year. I've asked Santa for his list of naughty boys.

There's also a Valentines Day message Board, so you can leave Valentine messages for your favourite Valkyries.

Nicole Bass

She's been attending wrestling school, as part of her entry into Extreme Championship Wrestling. It isnt' easy, you know. You don't just have to know how to throw a man, you have to learn how high and in which direction.

Back Page

I checked the site statistics. that Sandra counts up each night. 58,000 pictures (3.2 gigabytes), 1.8 gigabytes of video, 1600 text files (mostly stories).

I've been banned in Abu Dhabi. You can't access www.TheValkyrie.com from Abu Dhabi, I can't imagine why, maybe they find it too scary. So I'm setting up a site called www.garden-advice.com, we'll see if they ban that, too, and how long it takes them to spot it.
