Jason and Joy By MBP Joy gives Jason what he deserves. The Bernard family was visiting Colt College in New Hampshire. Their older child, Jason, was a sophomore at a local college in Cincinnati. He had decided to become a doctor. His family, including his mom, dad, and sister Joy, was checking out private medical universities in the Northeast. >From all appearances, Jason and Joy had your basic older brother, younger sister relationship. Jason was 19 years old, about 5’9 and 160 pounds. He was slim, reasonably well-muscled, athletic, and very handsome. Joy had just turned 12. She was very attractive, with light brown hair, green eyes and shapely legs. Joy was almost 5 feet tall and weighed about 90 pounds. They got along very well, better than most brother- sister combos. Most attributed this to their age difference. Generally, siblings who are further apart in age get along better because there is less sibling rivalry. But this wasn’t always the case for Jason and Joy. About 18 months ago, Jason was ready to kill Joy. She was always in his things: borrowing stuff without mentioning it, making a mess of his room, ruining some of his CDs, and other assorted kid sibling mischief. Jason had talked with his parents about the problem, and they had tried to handle it. But it hadn’t worked. Joy was as nosy and mischievous as ever. Jason decided to try something himself. The 18-year-old returned from school one day to find Joy in his room, rifling through his CD collection again. Jason had never tried anything physical with Joy; he didn't want to hurt her. He was out of patience and ideas, though, and violence seemed to be the final alternative. Surprising the 10-year-old, Jason had knocked Joy to the ground and cautiously sat on her, pinning her to the ground. As Joy struggled underneath him, Jason explained that if she didn’t stay away from his possessions, that she could expect more of this treatment. He got Joy to agree to leave his things alone, then got off her and Joy quickly left the room. Jason hoped that would be the last of his problem. Later that day, with his parents out, Jason was reading in the living room. From out of nowhere, Joy smashed into him and knocked Jason to the ground. Joy dove on top of her big brother and in a surprisingly short time succeeded in immobilizing him. Jason attempted to extricate himself but to his chagrin and utter amazement, Joy held him securely. Her small, wiry body was up tight against Jason with his arms captured in- between. All Jason could do was flail ineffectively with his legs. After a couple of exhausting minutes, Jason finally conceded defeat to the 10-year-old girl. Joy informed Jason that he’d better never attack her again, if he knew what was good for him. With that, Joy released Jason and left the living room. Jason didn’t move for hours; he couldn’t fathom what had happened. Sure, Joy had the element of surprise. But even so, Jason felt that he should have been able to allow Joy to start from any position she wanted and he would still win easily. But it hadn’t happened. Jason thought about it some more. Coming to a decision, Jason finally rose and walked out of the living room. The next morning, Jason knocked on Joy’s door and entered when asked. Sitting on Joy’s bed, Jason fidgeted uncomfortably as he tried to find the right words. Joy waited patiently. She had no idea what Jason wanted. “Uh, Joy, I just wanted to talk with you about yesterday.” “What about it?” Jason couldn’t beat around the bush. “When you attacked me in the living room, I still can’t understand how you managed to beat me.” Joy was unsure. “I was really angry when you jumped on me earlier so I had to get you back. I never really thought about why I won.” “What do you mean you never even thought about it? Don’t you think it’s a little weird for a little girl like yourself to overpower a big guy like me?” “Now that you mention it, yeah, I’m surprised that I’m stronger than you. I’ve always been able to beat most of my classmates but I never would have thought I could beat you.” There was delight and surprise in her voice. Jason was defensive. “You surprised me, Joy, and I think I took it easy on you. I didn’t want to hurt you.” “And,” Jason chuckled, “you’re definitely not stronger than I am.” “What do you mean? I beat you fair and square.” Jason introduced his idea. “Why don’t we have a wrestling match to settle it? I think we both need to resolve this.” Joy agreed and several hours later, the two were squaring off in the living room. And several minutes later, Jason managed to pin his younger sister to win the match. But it hadn’t been easy. Jason looked over at Joy, who was recuperating on the couch. The pretty young girl was dressed in a black one-piece bathing suit. Jason looked at himself also clad only in a bathing suit. He regarded his well-muscled arms and chest and looked at his sister’s small, solid body. Joy was obviously in terrific shape and Jason was shocked at just how strong she was. The pre-teen was in 5th grade and was about half Jason’s weight; even so, it had taken the older boy four minutes to beat her. Though Jason had won, he felt defeated. And to top it off, Joy wanted a rematch! They decided to meet the next day. Their second match followed a similar script. Jason got on top of Joy and attempted to pin her but Joy broke his hold. She was still on the defensive. Jason got the advantage again but couldn’t hold his sister. Jason kept the advantage throughout the match, but Joy wouldn’t give in. She was incredibly tenacious, and Jason knew Joy would not surrender until she was completely beaten. And with Jason nearing his exhaustion point, he finally got Joy to concede. After the 2nd match ended, Joy looked at her big, strong brother. Even though she had lost, Joy could see that Jason was completely done in. Joy came to the realization that if she had just fought on a little longer, she would have worn out the 18-year-old. That revelation gave her a big lift, and Joy challenged Jason to another match for the next day. Unlike their previous two matches, Joy went totally on the offensive. Throwing caution to the wind, Joy attacked Jason from the start, constantly throwing herself at her brother. The strategy was risky; Joy could wear herself out. But she figured that Jason would get tired defending himself and that she could outlast the bigger boy. And she was right. Jason had more and more trouble parrying her attacks. The 18-year-old first got tired. Then his arms and legs got weaker; the lactic acid kicked in and Jason’s limbs became Jell-O. Joy easily pinned her older brother, sitting comfortably astride his muscular chest. She didn’t even need to contain his arms; Jason could barely lift them. Joy didn’t bother to wait for Jason’s concession. She got up and bounced happily out of the room. Jason was unable to move for a while. His immobility was both physical and mental. The physical exhaustion was self-evident. But it was worse emotionally. Even though society has changed and females are more involved in sports, body building, and “male” occupations, it was still humiliating to lose to a girl. Jason realized that if he had been beaten by a much younger boy, it would still be embarrassing. But the hurt was worse because the girl was his sister. And Joy was 10, in 5th grade and about 75 pounds. He was a high-school senior and weighed 150. The events of the previous two days should have prepared him for this outcome. But it was still a shock. Jason finally gathered himself and walked to his bedroom. The next day at the same time, as if moved by an inexorable force, Joy and Jason met in the living room dressed for battle. And battle they did. The siblings fought desperately, as if their very lives depended on it. The match ended with Jason struggling ineffectively between Joy’s slim, shapely legs. It was a portent of things to come. They wrestled nearly every day. Jason kept track of the results; to date, Joy led 443 to 56. Jason won a match here and there when he got control of the smaller girl and was able to use his sizable weight advantage. He was stronger than Joy, but not by enough to win using strength alone. Joy had better stamina, flexibility, and imagination. And she just had a knack for wrestling. It had been a long time since Jason had felt embarrassed losing to his kid sister. And to his knowledge, neither he nor Joy had mentioned their wrestling to anyone. Sitting in a large lecture hall listening to the dull orientation, he looked over at his little sister who appeared equally bored. Jason nodded to Joy; the two quietly exited the auditorium. It was time for a little exercise. Joy and Jason toured the campus, looking for a gymnasium. School was not in session; many of the buildings were closed and some of them were roped off. Finally, they located what looked to be a gym, and to their luck, the door was ajar. It was nearly time for match 500! Entering the building, Joy and Jason heard some noise and went to investigate. Two people were wrestling earnestly at the far mat. One of the combatants was perhaps a year or two older than Jason. He was about six feet tall and burly, with muscles very much in evidence. He wore a pair of Speedos favored by lifeguards. His opponent held him around the neck; the second wrestler’s butt and back pushed into the big man’s body. He arched backwards as he attempted to prevent his opponent from throwing him. He didn’t succeed. Using her body as leverage, and the strength of her legs, the girl the big guy was wrestling lifted him onto her back and paused. Joy and Jason got a good look at her. She was perhaps 14 years old, about 5’4, blonde and beautiful. The bathing suit she wore was the same one that Joy had on under her “good” outfit she was now wearing. The girl said something unintelligible to the big man, and then threw him to the mat. The man quickly got up but the teenager grabbed his arms, fell backwards, and threw him again. In the same motion, she continued and ended up on top of him, her knees pinning the man’s shoulders. Flabbergasted, Joy and Jason furtively watched the spectacle. The man succeeded in throwing the girl off him, but she spun him over and whipped his right arm into a hammerlock, then grabbed him left arm. Shortly, the girl was sitting comfortably astride the man, both of his arm’s useless as he flailed under her. The man’s biceps and triceps were huge and in sharp contrast to the slim arms which held him helpless. Jason inwardly grinned: he was not alone at getting overpowered by a girl. The guy tried to fight his way out for perhaps a minute. And then he conceded. As the two wrestlers were sitting on the floor, the girl spied Jason and Joy. “Hey, what the hell are you doing over there?!” The siblings left their hiding spot. Joy was the first to gain her composure. “Watching. We were going to wrestle when we saw you two fighting.” Jason could see the guy’s face turn beet red in embarrassment. Jason would’ve felt the same way if someone had seen Joy beat him. Jason pawed at the ground, but the girls knew they had met new friends. The 14-year-old said “so you can also beat up your brother.” Joy replied “I usually win. Sometimes he gets lucky.” “I am up here visiting my brother. We used to wrestle all the time, but then he went away to school. My name is Kathy, and this is my brother Dan.” Dan waved. “I’m Joy and the embarrassed guy over there is Jason. He’s looking to go to medical school somewhere. We were bored and figured we’d wrestle. I guess you beat us to it. We wrestle almost every day. I didn’t realize until now that if he goes away to school, I’ll miss it.” “Yeah, I miss it a lot. I couldn’t wait to kick his ass.” “Well, you’re style is different from what we do” Joy noted. “And your brother is so muscular.” “Actually, the last time I saw Dan, he wasn’t this big. I understand he took up body building the last six months. I guess he was expecting to surprise me. As for our style, Dan and I took a judo class three years ago. That’s when I started throwing him around.” “We never thought of that. We just started fighting a little more than a year ago. Right, Jason?” “Yes” Jason stated very quietly. “Oh, C’mon Jason, it’s been a long time since you were embarrassed that I can beat you.” “Yeah, you too Dan.” Dan cleared his throat. “I’m used to it. But it’s different for someone else to watch you get beaten by a little girl.” “Amen to that” added Jason. He felt a little better with Dan in the same boat. “How old are you, Joy?” “I was 12 a couple of weeks ago. Jason is 19.” “Well I’m 14 and Dan is 21. WAIT!!! I just got a great idea. Why don’t you wrestle Dan and I’ll fight Jason!!!” She really wanted to roll around with Jason. “I don’t know. Dan’s a lot bigger and stronger than Jason.” Dan hoped to beat at least one girl. “Don’t worry, Joy, I won’t hurt you.” He knew that would get Joy mad enough to fight him. “What about you, Jason?” Jason was pretty sure he was going to lose, and lose big. He knew he couldn’t handle Dan, and he couldn’t even beat Joy. How was he going to beat Kathy? Still, Kathy was gorgeous, and he was wildly attracted to her. At least he’d get to roll around with her. “Okay, I’m in.” Joy and Jason stripped to their suits, Kathy laughing when she saw Joy’s. “I guess that is the chosen bathing suit of girls who can outwrestle their brothers.” The girls giggled. Kathy regarded Jason. He was very handsome. He was a little too old for her, perhaps, but maybe she could date him when she came to visit Dan. As far as wrestling goes, despite Jason’s 45 to 50 pound weight advantage, Kathy figured she could beat him easily. Dan keenly considered Joy. She was 2 years younger and 20-plus pounds lighter than his sister. Dan knew that Joy had no judo experience and less wrestling experience; he expected to win. Joy didn’t know what to expect, but Jason, looking over at the 200-plus pound six-footer and his tiny sister, wondered how his sister would survive. But she had somehow beaten Jason, so maybe… Everyone shook hands and the matches started. Kathy calmly walked over to Jason, and almost casually threw him over her shoulder to the mat. Jason jumped up, and attempted to drag Kathy down, but she easily resisted and flipped him again. Jason realized that not only was Kathy a superior wrestler, but despite her slim appearance, was definitely stronger than him. Resigned, he decided to do the best he could. On the other mat, Joy had decided to be aggressive, as she was with Jason. She flew at Dan and attempted to take him down, but he was too big and powerful. He simply held his ground, then grabbed Joy around the waist upside down and dumped her. Joy got up and tried another maneuver; same result. Things were not looking up for the Bernards. Down on the mat, Jason had a bearhug on Kathy. She had been a bit too relaxed, and Jason had surprised her. The bearhug felt good, both for Kathy and for Jason’s ego. But Kathy pulled Jason’s arms apart and went for her own bearhug. Her strong arms crushed Jason, but he could die happy in them. Joy feinted and Dan went for it. Joy got behind Dan, and got in good on his right leg. Using her small body, she tried to pull Dan off balance. Though she failed, it was still difficult for Dan to grab her. Joy held on for all she was worth. The fight was essentially over on the other mat, although the two were still wrestling. Kathy had finally released her bearhug before she cracked Jason’s ribs, pulled him down, and sat comfortably on his shoulders. Although he couldn’t move any part of his body except his legs, Jason kept fighting. He just liked wrestling with Kathy. Dan finally extricated Joy from his leg, lifted her up over his head, and tossed her onto the mat. He knew he was just too powerful for her. As Joy lay there apparently stunned, Dan came down to the mat to pin her to the ground. Given an opening, Joy, who was playing possum, got behind Dan again and captured his arms, pressing her body up tight against the big man. All of her weight had his arms and he didn’t have great leverage in his position. She held tight and hung on as Dan pitched back and forth trying to loosen her grip. Kathy and Jason were watching the match. Jason had conceded and the two were lying on their elbows, bodies touching. Both Jason and Kathy yelled encouragement to Joy as she continued to keep her hold. Finally getting his legs under him, Dan half stood and managed to loosen Joy’s grip long enough to free himself. But he was starting to tire just a little, and Joy didn’t give him a second. She threw herself on top of Dan trying to pin him. Even though Dan easily broke the hold, Joy achieved her real goal: she was able to maneuver herself around Dan’s head, and trapped it in her scissors. As Jason knew all too well, Joy’s shapely legs were quite strong and were causing Dan some discomfort. And although it was apparent that Dan was going to escape the scissors, he was also wearing down. Joy’s stamina, which held her in good stead against Jason even when she didn’t know how to wrestle, was better than that of the 21-year-old. And Joy continued to move from position to position, not giving Dan a chance for a breather, and Dan’s strength was waning. Watching from the other mat, Kathy and Jason were amazed as the incredible Joy took over her match against a full grown man. They held hands as Joy got Dan into another head scissors. This time Dan didn’t have the power to break the hold, and the 12-year- old girl scissored the 200-plus pound body builder for a couple of minutes. Then Joy sat on Dan’s shoulders, pinning his arms to the ground with her small hands. Kathy saw that Joy was now stronger than Dan, as his huge arms were held easily by the 7th grader. Joy giggled delightedly, but Dan was beaten. This was worse than losing to his sister, and she and Jason were also laughing. Still, Dan could do nothing but admit defeat. Joy got off Dan, who was too exhausted to get up. She didn’t even bother to question the results of the other match; Kathy was much too much for Jason. Joy smiled as she watched her big brother talking softly with the gorgeous teenager; they were a good match. Finally, everyone got up and dressed, and numbers and addresses were exchanged. Joy offered a rematch to Dan, who said he’d think about it. They lived about 100 miles apart and certainly Kathy and Jason hoped to see each other. Colt College was going to get a new student in the fall.
