A hard man is good to beat
The snowdrops are out. I thought they'd forgotten, but there they are. The crocuses aren't there yet, but the daffs are promising.

While I was out on a long walk, one of my computers started singing, so I got an urgent phone call on my mobile. As I was walking along, I worked out which group of computers it was, and decided that this was non-customer-facing, and therefore non-urgent. It turned out to be a computer that I use for digitising video.
When I got back (after a long sleep), I had a look. The case fan for the computer had seized up, and wasn't expelling hot air from the case, so the computer was getting too warm for it's comfort, and that was what the alarm was about. I replaced the fan, and it's OK now.
Most of the sponsorships now are by giving women server space and bandwidth, so they can operate their web sites without having to pay these fees. There's also photoshoots, which gets some revenue into their hands, as well as the traditional direct-funding sponsorship.

I checked the site statistics that Sandra counts up each night.
At the end of January 2008, there were about 1,000,000 pictures (94 gigabytes), 292 gigabytes of video, 11,700 text files (mostly stories) and a total of about 386 gigabytes. There's about 285 million pictures altogether in Newsthumbs, increasing at about 5 million per month.
