***DISCLAIMER***
Lots of female muscle in one anthropomorphic woman. Several bits of sensuality. Nothing too crazy. You know the score. If you haven't read Buff & Blur, the Bear Sisters, then I strongly recommend you do before reading this or this story won't make much sense. This is a short story in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. If you aren't familiar with the series or its characters (except Buff and Blur which are my own characters), then this story may not make much sense anyway.

I figure if there's to be a Christmas special, then it makes sense to follow up with the New Year as well. Thankfully I had two full stories cranked out by now as I really wanted to use someone other than Sally. And Buff and Blur are just perfect for this special day. It's a short story, one that I kind of threw together in a hurry, but I hope it gets a chuckle or two. I think the little twists I threw in were a nice touch. You'll see when you read them. Enjoy!



NEW YEARS DAY 2008 - A BUFF NEW YEAR

Peace reigns in Mobius. And while Dr. Eggman is out there somewhere, he's in no position to cause any trouble, especially since he learned of the existence of Buff and Blur and their very special abilities. This alone has put a huge hamper on his plans for revenge.

And while the citizens of Mobius are obviously not of Earth, they share similar holidays. One of them is New Years. And it just so happens that New Years Day is upon them. It has only been a month since the events of the race that occured between Sonic the Hedgehog and newcomer, Blur the Bear. But so much has happened since then. Blur's legs, namely her thighs, have become a pillar of mass muscle. She can now run up to five times the speed of sound, which Sonic can only match with the use of the Chaos Emeralds...but just barely. This has pushed Sonic to work on his speed all the more harder because he knows a rematch is inevitable, but not today.

Today, celebration looms near. Buff the Bear, Blur's sister, is engaged to get married to Shadow the Hedgehog; Sonic's former, that's right, former archrival. Ever since Buff melted Shadow's heart with her sensuality, her luscious eyes, and of course, her huge muscles, he no longer feels any resentment toward Sonic. Buff has given Shadow a new reason to live; a new life. And it's a new life made only more wonderful with the revelation of Buff's pregnancy. She wasn't sure how he'd take it, but he was happier than he has ever felt in his life. To have miniature versions of himself and Buff running around is a thought he is most excited about. The news has spread like wildfire and everyone, even Dr. Eggman has heard about it even though he still is in hiding.

They all decided to have the New Years celebration at the field where Sonic and Blur first met. With all the space, there was plenty of room to stretch out; especially when the fun is capped off with a fireworks show, courtesy of Tails' genius.

Midnight was not far off at this point and just about everyone, friend and rival, has shown up. This includes of course, Miles "Tails" Prower, Sonic's best friend. Also Knuckles the Echidna, Sonic's enemy turned ally. Then there's Amy Rose, Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend, though since finding out about Sonic and Blur's blossoming romance, has left her feeling down lately. Sonic has tried to cheer her up, but ironically she has distanced herself from him. In fact, this is the first time that she and Sonic have been together in the same area since that race a month ago. There's Cream and Cheese, who are hanging with Amy given they are as close as sisters. And finally, making a special appearance is Blaze the Cat, a princess from the future. Even most of Chaotix, including Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy Bee. Other include Ray the Flying Squirrel, Mighty the Armadillo, and Saffron.

But the star attraction is Buff and Blur. Their respective speed and strength have become quite popular. And while Shadow couldn't be more happy to be in the presence of a woman with such muscles, much less on the verge of marrying one; Sonic on the other hand, who has also fallen in love with Blur, still sees a true competitive rivalry with her and despite winning the race, feels that he has much to improve.

Blur is spending her time showing off her speed to everyone by doing laps around the field, causing sonic booms that quickly begin to annoy the bulk of the crowd so she's forced to stop. She has instead taken to just flexing her massive leg muscles, much to the amazement of the crowd. Try as he might, Sonic just can't resist the sexiness of her legs.

And of course, Buff gets an even bigger reaction from the crowd. She wanted to show off her strength to everyone, but all she gets (namely from the guys) are chants of "Pose! Pose! Pose!". Shadow, being new to love and everything, couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of her showing her body to others. But he surprisingly kept it to himself as he chose to just enjoy the show himself.

Buff took center stage as she began a posedown that blew everyone's minds. Her musculature was just incredible. Her legs, though not quite as big as Blur's, had amazing definition and emanated power. Though they aren't honed for speed like Blur's, those legs could reduce massive boulders to pieces with one kick. Her abs were like thick small slabs of hard muscle covering her stomach. She even invited anyone to take shots at them. This of course alarmed Shadow who warned her of her pregnancy. It took several attempts to convince him that not only is she still early on in her pregnancy, but even if she was just about due, her abs were solid muscle and it would take a lot more than punches to affect her. He finally gave in, but still watched with caution as Chaotix rose up to the challenge as each of them took shots at her. But their punches just glances off her abs which eventually caused their knuckles to hurt. Knuckles decided to rise up to the challenge, but Shadow, knowing Knuckles' powerful punching abilities, absolutely refused to let him do it.

Buff's next muscle group she flexed was her back. Her back was full of muscle with every striation being made apparent. If there was to be any comparison, it would be the equivalent to a brick wall. But the main event was her biceps. While she was in rather revealing clothing for the purpose of effectively showing off her body, she kept on a custom set of stand-alone sleeves over her arms that she wears for the sole purpose of ripping them with a flex of her biceps. She went into a slow and dramatic double bicep flex as her peaks rose in complete defiance of her sleeves, causing them to make a sounding "rrrriiiip!!" as they fell from her arms. Her biceps were a whopping thirty inches with small veins all over and a big one running over the top of the peak. The crowd, even the women were in absolute awe over her titanic biceps. Even Rogue, who up to this point was wanting to leave due to her knowingly losing any shot at love with Shadow, couldn't help but be mesmerized by Buff's arms of steel. Buff went into a crab flex as her arms continued to pump with raw strength. She did every pose she could think of, causing may of the guys to practically drool over her and have a newfound resentment towards Shadow for having such a hot muscle gal.

It was just about midnight and everyone was enjoying food and drinks. Buff continued her entertainment of the crowd by lifting anything excessively heavy she could find. And all the while, Shadow had since dropped any jealousy he might have felt and simply felt himself madly in love with her all over again. He could never get tired of seeing her show her magnificent strength. And as the final ten seconds hit, everyone shouted in unison,

"10!!"

"9!!"

"8!!"

"7!!"

"6!!"

"5!!"

"4!!"

"3!!"

"2!!"

"1!!"

"Happy New Year!!!" everyone cheered as Shadow and Buff embraced in a passionate kiss. Blur sped to Sonic in a flash and planted a loving kiss on his lips which he returned just as passionately. Amy was happy, but sad at the same time. She knew she should be happy for Sonic, but she couldn't get past her own love for him. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder, it was Espio.

"Happy New Years Amy." he said with a warm smile that caught even her by surprise.

He took her hands into his own and slowly leaned in and planted a gentle and shockingly loving kiss on her lips. She was too stunned to react. But then she found herself putting her hands around his neck and returning the kiss. When they finally pulled apart.

"I never knew you had any feelings for me." Amy said.

"Yeah, well, you were always pursuing Sonic. Ever since that time we met, I couldn't help but feel attracted to you. And I met this unknown fellow who showed me a glimpse of the future where you're fully matured. You have no idea how gorgeous you are, especially as you become even older. That's what made me want to pursue you. It was hard though. I knew you would never feel the same way. But given this special day, and seeing how sad you looked, I had to let my feelings be known. I'm sorry you never realized your romance with Sonic. But I can be true to you and you'll always be regarded by me as someone very special." he said.

Amy was truly touched by his words. She broke into even more tears as she hugged him tight while he held her close. Espio looked up and saw Sonic, who smiled at him and Amy for finding each other. Espio smiled back and closed his eyes as they held each other close, knowing they have a future together.

Rogue, who sat on a tree stump, had a look of sorrow on her face. She had always considered herself strong in the face of hardship. But she never knew how much she loved Shadow until now, when it was too late. She was so absorbed in her own pursuits that she never put enough thought into her feelings. But now reality struck like a bolt and for the first time, she felt the pain of heartbreak. She never could've imagined that Shadow could fall for a woman with muscles. It just didn't seem right. She personally detested the idea. But even she couldn't help but find her eyes locked on biceps that big. Despite the fact, she found those arms sexy.

"Happy New Year Rogue." came a voice in front of her.

She looked up and saw it was Tails. She awkwardly got up and looked at him.

"Shouldn't you be with your buddy Fox boy?" she asked.

"Nah, he's too busy with Blur right now. But..." Tails began.

He leaned in, but Rogue backed away at first. She finally smiled and thought 'What the hell!', and the unlikely pair shared a tender kiss of their own. Though Tails was much younger than she was, she found him to be a surprisingly good kisser. When they finally parted...

"Don't let this go to your head Tails." she said as she winked.

With that, she decided to leave, having a lot on her mind. Tails sighed and headed to his cache of fireworks that he needed to light up.

Blaze walked up to Knuckles, "I'm not familiar with what's going on? Is it...normal to kiss someone random like this."

Knuckles felt himself taken with the beauty of Blaze's face. Her eyes were alluring and she truly had a beauty befitting a princess.

"Oh it's a custom associated with the celebration of the new year. Most of the time, it's just excitement. But for some, it's a perfect opportunity to let someone know how you feel about them, even if it's on a whim." he said.

Blaze looked into his eyes and could see him blushing. She broke into a grin, "Does this mean you are...attracted to me?"

Knuckles blushed even more. This was unlike him to be this way. He began to understand how Shadow felt.

"Allow me." Blaze said as she placed her hands on Knuckles' face and kissed him on the lips. His heart skipped a beat as he returned the embrace.

"Happy New Year Knuckles." she said warmly.

Knuckles smiled back, "Happy New Year to you too Blaze."

Charmy Bee and Saffron were simply playing together as was Cream and Cheese.

Finally, Tails lit up the fireworks, leaving everyone front row seats to enjoy them. The new couples sat down together to enjoy the brilliant show. Unknown to any of them, Dr. Eggman was standing a distance away leaning against a large boulder watching the fireworks. For a rare moment, he smiled at the sight.

"Call it a New Years truce Sonic. But tomorrow, I make plans to remove you from my path to world domination. Not even your new love interest Blur will be able to stop me. I'll always search until I find a way." he said as he turned and left.

After the fireworks show finally ended, they went back to celebrating the night away. And while it was a huge success, they would come to realize that the hard-earned peace would eventually be shattered once again. But Sonic would have plenty of allies to aide him in his struggle for everlasting peace.
