In
the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, meet Buff and Blur. One is insanely
strong; the other is insanely fast!
~ WARNING ~
This story is the equivalent of PG-13. It has the usual
depictions of female muscle and everything we all come here for. But the
swearing, the sex, and the violence found in most stories are not in this one. Given the
universe that this story occurs in, it would be out of place for those themes
here. If you aren't into muscular woman, even furry ones, then the answer is
simple, don't read. But if you are into those things, then read
on.
~ INTRODUCTION
~
Welcome to the complete version of Buff &
Blur, the Bear Sisters. For a story that was only six chapters instead of the
ten that made up the last story, it sure took a lot longer to finish. Don't get me wrong, I'm
happy with the result; but I will admit that I felt it could've been
better. And while Buff, who we all came to see, got her fair share of the story;
it was technically about her younger sister Blur, who wanted to show Sonic a
taste of defeat. I won't give anything away for those of you who are reading
this for the first time, but rather I'll say that this is my first shot at mixing in a
theme other than just muscle and strength. And besides, with a character whose
attribute is insane velocity, there's STILL muscle in the mix. You really can't
go wrong when there's muscle involved. Anyway, while I may not consider this one
of the best I've done, it's still an enjoyable read for those of you who have
played or watched the Sonic the Hedgehog series. And speaking of which, just so
you know, this story is not tied to any continuity within the actual canon of
the series. And since my knowledge of the actual series is mostly limited to the
original Sonic games, those are the characters that get the bulk of the focus.
Shadow of course is an exception, since I do know him pretty well. And one more
thing: I've noticed just how much more flexibility I have with putting these
stories in HTML form. I have more space to work with, I don't have to do manual
line breaks, and the chapter descriptions I can make more descriptive and still
keep it on one line. Well hey, I've taken up enough of your time. Enjoy the
story!

and Shadow the Hedgehog is disrupted by an even faster

"This time, I'm going to defeat you!" Shadow
declared.
?>
"Yeah, you just keep
telling yourself that buddy," Sonic retorted.
Shadow's face became
flushed with anger. "And how many times must I tell you, don't call me
buddy!!"
We open up at a vast
field. It has about the overall circumference of a stadium except many times
wider and is a place where Sonic likes to spend time racking up mileage on his famous running
shoes.
Tails is hovering in the air holding a
digital camera to shoot the action. The sun is shining, the birds are singing,
and peace has once again been restored to Mobius. Sonic and Shadow are engaged
in a competition between them to see who's the fastest and the strongest.
Several of Sonic and Shadow's friends are there, which includes Knuckles the
Echidna; Amy Rose, who is smitten with Sonic; Cream the Rabbit, and
Cheese; Rogue the Bat, who has her own
attraction to Shadow; and a special appearance by Espio the Chameleon, who is on
vacation, but really just wanted an excuse to get away from his group, Chaotix,
for a little while. Sonic's best friend Miles "Tails" Prower is hosting the
event as well as filming it. His ability with technology and multitasking made
the decision to appoint him as host almost unanimous. Amy, being a bit ditzy,
wanted Sonic to host it.
As Tails hovered in midair, he called out
for the first challenge, a contest of speed, to
begin.
"Alright! Your first challenge is something
like NASCAR! When Amy drops the flag, you'll run twenty laps around the field!
First one to cross the finish line wins bragging rights and proof of who is the
fastest! The use of chaos control by Shadow is prohibited," Tails
instructed.
Amy stood to the side of the starting line
as she stared unabashedly at Sonic, who was blushing with embarrassment. Shadow,
ever the serious of the two had started off as an enemy of Sonic. But over time,
their relationship simmered to a friendly rivalry between the two.
Personality-wise, Shadow is everything Sonic is not: Serious, lacking a sense of
humor, and even downright vicious. Ability-wise, he's a legitimate
contender to Sonic in speed. He controls the power of chaos and can use it to
freeze time for brief periods and even use it to create devastating attacks
against anyone who dares to oppose him. His
fighting ability is second to none. He is something of an anti-hero.
Sonic on the other
hand, has always had a carefree personality. Though, thanks to the repeated
intrusions of Dr. Eggman into his home in an attempt to enslave the inhabitants
of Mobius into his robotic slaves, Sonic has become a seasoned fighter in his
own right, and is always there to stop the mad scientist's evil deeds. He has a
huge craving for chilidogs and is sometimes seen by some as a bit egotistical
because of his reputation as the fastest Mobian in all of Mobius. Despite that,
he is well liked by many and is regarded as a hero.
The two hedgehogs are
at the starting line looking intently at each other, one smirking, the other
gazing.
Amy holds up the
flag. "Alright! You ready? On your mark..."
The two get in their
position without taking their eyes off each other.
"...get
set..."
Shadow's gaze shows
the slightest hint of a smirk as Amy drops the flag.
"and GO!!!" she yells
as the two take off with amazing speed, causing a backlash of wind in their
wake. The two hedgehogs are dead even with each other as they wind around the
field at breakneck speeds. In less than a minute, they complete the first lap.
The same thing goes with the first ten laps. But as they start the eleventh
lap...
"Well then, I'd say
that was a good enough warm up." Sonic called over to Shadow who repressed a
smirk.
"Alright Sonic, I've
played with you long enough. You ready to turn it up?" he asked.
Sonic's grin widened.
"You bet! Adios amigo!"
And with that, Sonic
accelerated to speeds exceeding Mach 1, causing loud sonic booms in his wake.
But Shadow was not deterred and increased his speed to match. The competition
was really heating up. Everyone trying to follow their movements had to keep
covering their ears from the repeated sonic booms the two hedgehogs kept
generating. But Tails was accustomed to Sonic's speed and was able to keep up
with the action.
"And it looks like
Sonic has the lead! No shocker there! But Shadow isn't making it easy for him!
And there they go into the eighteenth lap!" he shouted over the cheers from the
crowd.
Shadow was starting to close in on Sonic as they entered their nineteenth lap. Sonic was now running as fast as he could, but Shadow's determination enabled him to close the gap between them. And, as they entered the final lap, the cheers from the crowd got even louder. No one noticed a mysterious figure walk out onto the track, get down in on-your-mark position, and at the point where Sonic and Shadow were halfway around the field, take off so fast that the shockwave knocked everyone over. Even Tails was knocked out of the air and crashed to the ground, causing his digital camera to break. A trail of fire was left in its wake as the form shot around the field like a bullet. And just as the two hedgehogs were fast approaching the finish line, the mysterious figure blew by them so fast that their balance was disrupted, causing them to tumble across the finish line. When they finally skidded to a stop, they were in pain; Sonic was helped to his feet by Amy, and Shadow by Rogue.
Sonic was clutching
his head as he tried to regain his bearings. "Whoa! Who did that?"
"Oh that would be my
doing," said a feminine voice behind him.
He turned around and
saw a very gorgeous Mobian bear. Like everyone else on Mobius, she was anthropomorphic. Her fur
was a slightly darker yellow than Sonic's when in his Super Sonic form. She had
a very curvaceous figure and nice firm breasts. From the waist down, however,
was completely different. Everyone's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets and
their mouths dropped as they saw her legs. They were very muscular, with thighs
that were really wide and had the most detailed muscle definition any of them
had ever seen. Her calves
bulged with power and size and her feet were enclosed in shoes that looked
similar to Sonic's shoes, only brown. It really made her overall figure
disproportionate, but she didn't seem to mind or care.
She had a smile on
her face as she looked at the two awestruck hedgehogs; her hands were on her
hips.
"Hi! Pleased to meet
you! Sorry to cause you to fall over. Guess I don't know my own speed sometimes.
My name is Blur, Blur the Bear!" she said in
greeting.

Chapter 6: The Epilogue - Welcome to the
Family!
All eyes
were fixed on this newcomer. Surprisingly, no one had ever heard of her. Sonic
looked at the track surrounding the field. There were scorch marks from the
trail of fire that Blur left behind. This just baffled Sonic. If someone like
her existed, how come he has never heard of her? She had the most unique body
ever seen, especially on a woman. From the waist up she had
an amazing figure, one that rivaled Rogue's. Rogue, of course, had her arms
crossed in that 'Oh please!' look. From the
waist down, her legs were a sculpture of muscle. You could literally see every
tendon, every striation. Her thighs pulsed with power and her calves were like
generators for her feet. She could see everyone staring at her
speechless.
"Well how about
taking a picture boys...and girls," Blur winked.
Sonic walked up to
her. "That's just unbelievable! I've always thought myself to be the fastest.
Where do you come from? How come I haven't heard of you?"
Blur took her hands
from her hips and put them together below her waistline. She was enjoying the
sexy posing and seeing everyone's reaction. "Weeellll. I guess it's as simple as
I had no real desire to make myself known to the world at large, at least until
now. As for where I come from, it's from a quaint little village from the other
side of the planet in an isolated region where only others of my kind
live."
Tails stomped over to
Blur clutching his broken camera. "Hey! Just who do you think you are busting in
like that?! You trashed the track and you broke my camera! Do you have any idea
how expensive it was?!"
Blur was suddenly
behind Tails. It was like she teleported. She moved so fast that she left an
afterimage.
"Geez kid, you sure are pissy. But
you're cute!" she said as she pinched his cheek.
Tails moved to brush her hand away, but
his hand went right through hers
as it became an afterimage. Suddenly, she was
leaning against Sonic, caressing his face. Sonic was embarrassed by this show of
speed that even he couldn't do.
"You know, why do you
hang around little foxy boy when you can be with someone who can truly test your
speed?" she cooed in his ear.
Sonic grabbed her shoulders and gently pushed her back. "Listen Blur, I don't know why you're here, but I don't appreciate you talking about my bro like that."
Blur just turned her
back and looked over her
shoulder at him. "Your loss sexy."
Blur walked over to the starting line of the
track. "Well then Sonic. You want to make it official and have a little race of
our own?" she asked.
Sonic, never one to
back down from a challenge, shook her hand. "You're on!"
Sonic turned to
Tails. "Hey buddy, care to do the honors?"
But Tails turned
away. "No way! Find someone else! I'm not helping her with that
ego!"
Sonic sighed.
Suddenly, Espio walked up. "I'll do it."
He picked up the flag
and held it in the air. "On your mark..."
Sonic got down in
position, but Blur started jogging in place really really fast. Sonic was
perplexed at the sight.
"get
set..."
Blur's legs were now
moving so fast that they were a
blur. Sonic knew he had to beat her somehow,
but something about her legs moving unbelievably fast looked...sexy!
"GO!" as he dropped
the flag.
Sonic never stood a chance. In his moment
of distraction at Blur's powerful legs, she was out of sight moving around the
field so fast that, by the time Sonic started
to take off, she was almost completely around the field. Blur slowed down so she could look back. Sonic was giving
it everything he had as he ran as fast as his legs could carry him. Blur
actually stopped and watch Sonic pass her to make his way around the field to
catch up.
As Blur watched him, she actually felt
sorry for him. But at the same time, she began to feel an admiration for him as
well. Sonic could clearly see that he didn't stand a chance at beating her, and
yet he was still trying. And that determination made her feel an attraction to
him. She almost wanted to let him win just to preserve his ego. But she knew
that Sonic wouldn't like that and would rather just lose fair and square, than
win a false victory. As Sonic passed her for the third time putting him one lap
ahead of her, she took off running; her speed again making her a blur to all who were watching. She passed
Sonic and was mere seconds from passing him again, putting her back in the lead.
Well suffice to say that by the time Sonic finished the tenth lap, Blur
completed the race.
Everyone was
expecting Sonic to stop right there, but he kept on going. No one understood why
he kept going. But he did. He was feeling hurt; to be completely pushed out of
his own league like this. But yet, he couldn't bring himself to resent Blur for
this. And rather than feel any jealousy, he chose instead to simply finish the
race and keep his pride. At last, he completed the twentieth lap and skidded to
a stop. Everyone began walking over to him, but as he was panting from
exhaustion, he put up his hand.
"Guys. I thank you
for coming. But it's clear that this competition between me and Shadow will have
to wait until another time," he said.
Shadow would normally
object at Sonic's evasiveness, but in a rare moment, he could actually feel
Sonic's humiliation and knew that he was in no spirits to go on. Amy ran over to
Sonic to object, but Sonic stopped her with a look.
"Please Amy, you too.
I need to be alone," he said as Amy had some tears in her eyes. It pained her to
see him like this. But she knew that he was serious so she left as well. Rogue
turned back to Shadow who was still standing there.
"Are you coming or
what?" she asked impatiently.
"You go. I'm staying
here," Shadow responded.
Sonic looked up at
him and in another of rare moments, he lost his cool. "Please Shadow! I'm in no
mood to have you standing there gloating at me. And this wasn't even YOUR
victory!"
But Shadow remained
still. "Actually, that's not why I'm staying. But I am staying. You can try to
make me leave, but I don't think that would be a good idea for you right
now."
Rogue was fed up at
Shadow's stubbornness and turned around and left with the others. It was just
Sonic, Shadow, and Blur now. Blur had her eyes on Sonic the whole time.
Normally, she didn't really care about anyone. She was quite familiar with
Sonic's heroic battles against Dr. Eggman. And in a small way, she even thanked
him for keeping him at bay. She knew that if the scientist knew of the people of
her village, he would surely try to enslave them for their abilities. Shadow
walked away from the area to give Sonic some space, but he wanted to keep an eye
on him nevertheless. As Sonic sat down, lost in thought, he kept replaying the
race in his mind.
Blur slowly walked
over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry I insulted your friend
Sonic, that was wrong of me to do. I hope you can forgive me."
Sonic looked up at
her, gave a weak smile and nodded. He was just numb from his utter defeat. Blur
sat down next to him and took his hand into hers.
"Look. I'm not going
to apologize for beating you. But I do want to say that just because there's
someone faster than you doesn't mean that you have nothing left to live
for."
She paused as he
considered her words.
"Look, I know you
pretty well. Who hasn't heard of your brave deeds? In spite of the things I said
earlier, you're considered a hero to my people as well. Me and my sister aren't
even..."
Sonic interrupted
her. "You have a sister?!"
Blur smiled. "Yes I do. If you
think I'm a freak, you should meet her! She is
very strong, and that's putting it mildly."
Shadow overheard this
and ran over to them. "You mean there's another one of you nearby?"
Blur wasn't really
tolerant of Shadow's blunt nature. "Yes Shadow, there is. You actually have a
few things in common with her personality-wise. She too is a bit blunt and to
the point with things."
She turned back to
Sonic, who was back on his feet. "I'll make you a deal. Allow me to race you
again. But this time, you use the Chaos Emeralds and become Super Sonic. With
your speed in that form, it will be a more even race."
For the first time
since his defeat, he had a glimmer in his eyes.
"Alright, it's a
deal!" he said.
Shadow just stood
there indignant.
Blur started to walk
away, but turned back to face the two
hedgehogs.
"Come on! I want you
to meet my sister!" she said as she dashed off at a speed that mirrored Sonic
and Shadow's top speeds during their race. They sprinted off after her as they
left the field.
After several
minutes, they reached town. The place was bustling with activity. They slowed
down to a standard run as the two followed Blur through the mass of people
everywhere. Eventually, they reached a part of town that had fewer people. They
approached a hot dog shoppe and Sonic's nose twitched.
"Ah, my favorite
place! Did you plan this?" he asked her.
She smiled. "Actually, no. Why do you
ask?"
He laughed a bit. "I
guess you don't know me as well as you say you do. C'mon Shadow, let's nab some
chili dogs while we're here!" he said to Shadow.
But Shadow wasn't
exactly sharing his enthusiasm. "No. I'm not in the mood to eat right
now."
But Sonic was persistent. "Nonsense! After all that racing we both did, I know full well you're as hungry as I am! So why don't you just drop the tough guy act for a few minutes and have some chilidogs. Have you ever had them before?"
"As a matter of fact I have. I'm just not so
flamboyant about eating them," Shadow answered.
"Oh you're no fun at
all!" Sonic said as he followed Blur inside, Shadow trailing behind.
As they entered, they saw Blur looking
around the place. She looked all around twice
and turned back toward Sonic.
"She's not here!" she
said.
One of the patrons
got up and turned toward her as if in recognition.
"Are you looking for
this Amazon bear that was in here earlier?" the guy asked.
"As a matter of fact,
I am. She's my sister," she answered.
All eyes were now on
her as they saw her muscular legs. The guy seemed really freaked out. "She...
left. She wasn't exactly quiet about it either. She was saying something about
being tired of waiting and just left."
Blur put her hand to
her face in disgust. "Ugh! I knew she couldn't wait. I told her that I wasn't
going to be long, but noooo!"
Sonic had a feeling
that wasn't the only reason she left. Something told him she was probably
attracting a lot of stares if she was anything like Blur here.
She turned toward
Sonic and Shadow. "I guess I got to go look for her. Knowing her, she's making a
scene somewhere," she said.
Sonic's mouth was
watering as he was gazing at the menu. "Actually, can you two go on without me?
I'm really hungry and I think I'm going to eat while I'm here. Why don't you two
just come back here once you've found your sister?"
Blur chuckled. "Suit
yourself sugar. Boy, you sure live up to your name, I'll grant you
that."
So with that, she
left with Shadow. As they made their way farther towards the edge of town, Blur
asked various people where her sister might have went. They all pointed towards
a large lake that borders the far end. So they made their way over there in a
hurry. Once they got there, it wasn't long before Blur spotted her and ran up to
her to chastise her for disappearing like that. But Shadow was standing there,
his mouth hanging open. He could only see her back from this angle,
but what he saw was even more amazing than
Blur by a long shot. Her back was huge! It looked like a cobra's neck spread
wide open! He couldn't see much as she was wearing a shirt that seemed pretty
tight on her. But he could see that she was enormously muscular. Her arms were
resting on her legs as she was sitting on a bench. They were just huge. But
again, he couldn't make out the detail as they, too were covered by the shirt's
sleeves. It seemed rather out of place on a day like this.
Blur looked behind her towards Shadow and gestured him to come over and join them. He slowly walked over and tried his hardest to regain his composure as he looked at Blur's sister in full view for the first time. He half-expected to see her have a masculine face on her. But much to his astonishment, she was even more gorgeous than Blur. Her face... so beautiful. She had the most enchanting eyes, eyelashes full and prominent. Her nose was small and served to accentuate her beauty. And her lips. Try as he might, he just couldn't keep his expression from softening. Her lips were full and she was wearing reddish pink lipstick. Shadow tried to deny what he was feeling, but the obviousness of what he was seeing was too much for him to ignore. Shadow the Hedgehog, one of the most ruthless fighters and complete opposite of Sonic...was in love.
Blur didn't seem to
notice anything as she gestured toward Shadow. "This is Shadow the Hedgehog, the
one I told you about."
She put her hand on
her sister's shoulder. "And Shadow, I'd like you to meet my sister, Buff the
Bear."
Shadow walked over and took her hand.
"I'm... pleased to meet you," he stammered.
Buff looked him in
the eyes; it felt like she was gazing into his soul.
"Pleased to meet you too, Shadow. I've
heard... interesting stories about you," she said with a sensuality in her
voice.
Shadow had never had
a relationship before. Even with Rogue's occasional advances, he never saw her
as anything more than a friend. He had a cold interior that came with his
creation. He was never intended to feel like this before and these emotions were
quite new to him. At first, he wasn't sure how to articulate these feelings. In
fact, the sight of a female with muscles like this should be having the exact
opposite effect on him.
"Hey, yoohoo! Mobius
to Shadow! Wakey wakey!" came Blur's voice
from somewhere distant. Shadow snapped out of it.
"We'd better head back. I'm sure Sonic is
waiting for our return," Shadow said, managing to return to his usual
demeanor.
Buff smiled inwardly.
She had many gifts that she wanted to show to him besides her muscles. Normally,
she was just as emotionless on the outside as Shadow. But there was something
about Shadow that seemed... exciting. And she could easily tell that Shadow was
attracted to her. It made her feel special. No one had ever felt like that
toward her; not where she came from anyway. Normally, her body was a turn off
for just about every guy she has interacted with. And if there were any who
liked her muscles, they never had the courage to show any
indication.
"Alright," was all
that Buff said as she and Blur followed behind Shadow back to the hot dog
shoppe.

Chapter 6: The Epilogue - Welcome
to the Family!
Buff the Bear was truly a sight to
behold for Shadow. When he first heard from Blur that she had a sister, he was
surprised, but not impressed. He saw how Blur just defeated Sonic in a race and
figured her sister was just another freak. And, while he didn't exactly have
much room to talk given his own nature, his physical appearance didn't attract
stares the way Blur did. So when he was introduced to Buff, he never expected to
feel the way he did. She had on a tight-fitting shirt that bulged under the
muscular physique she possessed. But it wasn't so much the muscles that
attracted him, it was her gorgeous face. It was like she radiated beauty,
completely in spite of her body. Those eyes, those beautiful blue eyes; it was
all he could do to keep from making a fool of himself. And her lips were the
most sultry he had ever seen on a woman. It
wasn't just beauty she radiated, but power as well. And yet, she took to him
with a curiosity unlike what Blur described of her. She wasn't being put-offish at all. Quite the opposite
actually, like she could tell he was admiring her. But he didn't want her to see
this vulnerablility in him like this, and
certainly not Blur. So he began to head back
to the hot dog shoppe with Buff and Blur following.
When they returned, they went inside and saw
Sonic at a table in the far corner eating his chilidogs. The three went over to
sit with him. Buff looked at the staring faces as she sat down in the seat
facing the hallway leading to the restrooms. This put her out of view of
everyone else in the shoppe. This also put her next to Blur while Shadow
reluctantly sat next to Sonic. Buff leaned in toward Sonic.
"Thank you for
choosing this corner. To be honest, I was getting sick of everyone staring at
me. Normally I don't mind, but I could feel it in the atmosphere that much of it
was disgust," she said.
"No sweat. I had a
feeling that's what it was," he replied.
Sonic looked at Buff and saw her massive
frame. He couldn't believe a female could look like this. She had a very pretty
face. In a way, she reminded him of Rogue, but less
devious-looking. Sonic,
however, was more into Blur and her legs. It felt so mesmerizing to meet a woman
with such strong legs that could run that fast. And despite being defeated by
her, he was finding himself really attracted to her. He glanced at the menu on
the table.
"So um, how 'bout I
go up there and order a round of chili-dogs for you three? My
treat!"
Shadow just gave a
vague look that was his way of saying yes.
"Sure, that'd be
great!" Blur said eagerly.
"I suppose a couple
won't hurt," Buff said.
So he went to get in
line as Buff looked across at Shadow, who upon eye contact began to blush
involuntarily.
"So Shadow, tell me
something. I've heard about your various escapades. But why must you be such a
loner?" Buff asked.
Shadow struggled to
retain his composure. "That's...none of your business. I am who I am. My past is
of no concern to anyone else."
Rather than being offended by this, Buff seemed even more determined to break through Shadow's icy exterior.
"I'm sorry; I don't mean to pry. It's just
that you seem to have so much depth to you, and I thought you might want to get
something off your chest," she said.
Shadow kept his gaze
partially averted. "Perhaps... maybe another time."
Buff smiled; "I'd
like that."
Blur was listening to
the exchange and looked at Buff perplexedly. "Are you ok? You aren't acting like
your usual self?"
"So? What's wrong
with that?" Buff asked back.
But Blur just
shrugged her shoulders and looked at Shadow. "Just so you know, she is NOT
usually this mild."
Buff gave her a push.
"Will you shut up about that!?"
"Well it's true!" she
retorted.
Sonic returned
carrying a basket with several chilidogs and distributed them. At first,
everyone started eating them with little being said. But once Buff finished her
first chilidog, she looked over at Sonic.
"So, how are things
going where you're from? I trust my sister told you where we come from?" Buff
asked.
"She did, and things
are doing fine. I don't think that creep Eggman will be bothering anyone for a
while," Sonic said.
Buff clutched her
arms at her side and tensed them causing her biceps to come dangerously close to
tearing her shirtsleeves.
"Sometimes
I hope he'd try to start a fight with my
people! I would love an opportunity to kick his ass!" she said a
bit loudly, causing people around them to crane their necks around to stare
again. She saw this and decided that she'd had enough.
"And if you people
don't stop staring at me so rudely, I'm going to kick all of your asses at the
same time!" she yelled, prompting everyone to turn away quickly.
Blur chuckled. "Now that's my
sister."
After a few minutes
of eating and light chatting, they got up and left. Once they got outside, they
could see it was getting dark. Blur grabbed
Sonic's hand.
"Thanks for the chili
dogs, they were delicious! So, I'm really looking forward to that rematch with
you. What do you say we have it tomorrow around this time?" she
asked.
"That's good. But I
think we will need a bigger track." he said as he paused to think.
"I know! Let's make it good and race one lap
around the world!" he proposed.
Blur's excitement was
showing as she squeezed his hand, "That's a great idea! That field track wasn't
big enough to suit me anyway. And, as fast as
we can both run, crossing bodies of water won't be a problem. Just be at your
best. It's going to be a long race!"
"Same with you. Your
legs will surely need the energy," he said.
Blur flexed her
thighs as they bulged in unison. Sonic was really loving this.
"Well, I think I'll
head home then. I'm going to tell my family about this. This is exciting! To
think that I'll be going up against the chaos power of Sonic the Hedgehog! I can't wait!" she
exclaimed.
She turned around to see Buff standing there.
"You coming, Sis?"
Buff just smiled.
"Actually, if it's OK with Shadow here, I want to stay with him and get to know
him more."
Blur's smile became
twisted. "Oh really? I see what's going on. So you do..."
"SHUT UP!" Buff and
Shadow shouted at the same time.
"Alright alright. I'll see you three tomorrow at the field we raced at. We can start the race there. You cool with that Sonic," she asked.
"Works for me," he
said.
She took off running with sonic speed and
was soon out of sight. Sonic was looking at Shadow, who was looking elsewhere.
He was no fool; he could see that there was something different about Shadow.
Whatever he sees in Buff has elicited a reaction much like what he himself sees
in Blur. He never imagined that Shadow could have such feelings. Even
simple compassion was something he rarely showed. He could see all eyes on
him as he realized he was not wanted here at this moment.
"Well then, I guess
I'll be leaving myself. I need to see how Tails is doing. I hope he's not mad at
me," he said as he sprinted off.
The number of people
around them had greatly diminished at this point. Shadow turned around and began
walking away.
"So, just like that,
huh? No conversation?" Buff asked with disappointment in her voice.
Shadow turned his
head slightly, but his back was still facing her.
"Forget what you may
have heard about me. Being with me is dangerous. The life I have lived; I highly
doubt you could cope with the things I have done," he said.
Buff walked in front
of him. "You think I care about any of that? I'm not here to judge what you did
in the past. I want to judge who you are now; what you'll become."
Shadow's eyes finally locked on hers. Here
was a female whose shirt was straining against
her muscular body. It was the kind of body that on anyone else, would repulse
him. But those eyes brought out so much beauty in her that her physique suited
her well. He held her gaze for a few moments.
"Why? Why would you
be interested in someone like me?" Shadow finally asked.
Buff walked closer to him and took his
hand in hers. Shadow wasn't the type to like being touched by anybody. But he
didn't find himself reacting badly at all. Her
eyes had such a glow in them that he couldn't help but let her hold his
hand.
"Maybe because I
think you need someone who can care for you. Maybe because I can sense your
tortured soul," she said, rather bluntly.
Shadows eyes lit up a bit, but he remained
calm. "And how could you know enough about me
to say that I'm tortured?"
Buff kept her gaze on
him. "Because I'm also empathic. I can feel the emotions of others, even if they
are projecting completely different emotions from what they are really feeling.
This is one of my gifts."
Shadow wanted to
respond, but found he couldn't. So Buff continued.
"Maybe I think that
what you need the most is someone you can care for again," she said very
carefully. And with good reason. Shadow lowered his head. His face filled with
sadness.
"You miss her still,
don't you?" she asked.
"...Yes. Maria was
the closest thing I had to a family other than the professor who created me.
When she and I were trying to escape from G.U.N. during their siege of the Space
Colony ARK, a soldier shot her. It hurt me to be unable to save her. She wanted
me to bring hope to humanity, but I couldn't even do that." Shadow said as he
looked up at her again.
"It's strange. You're
the first person I have ever shared this openly with," he said.
Buff smiled. "Maybe
it's time you followed your heart for a change. Come with me, I want to show you something."
Buff lead Shadow
deeper into the city. As they made their way through a more crowded area, they
came to a clearing where there were lots of parked vehicles.
Buff stopped and
turned to him. "Is it true that you're pretty strong as well as
fast?"
Shadow was a bit
confused at the question. "Well I suppose I am."
"Can you show me how
strong you are?" Buff asked, rather bluntly.
Shadow looked around
in slight embarrassment. "Well, um, I guess so."
Shadow walked over to
a nearby car that was midsize and put one hand under the front end and hoisted
it up over his head.
"Wow! You really
are strong!" she said delightedly.
Shadow slowly lowered
the car back to the ground. "Is there a point to this?"
Buff smiled coyly.
"Actually, I kind of wanted to give you a basis for comparison. You see, as you
can tell, I'm a very strong girl. I've been that way all my life. These muscles
hardly do my strength any justice."
Shadow's eyes nearly
popped of his head. "Are you kidding me?! You mean to say you can lift this car
too?!"
Buff walked over to
the car Shadow lifted and put her hand under the front end.
"Actually Shadow..."
she said as she stood up, lifting the front end over her head, "...this is
child's play!" she finished as she put the car back down.
Shadow wasn't sure
whether to be attracted to this or humiliated. Buff walked over to a large bus.
It looked like a cross-country type bus that's bigger than a school bus. She
ducked and walked underneath it. Suddenly, the bus floated upward, she pressed
it as high above her as her arms could stretch. Her already tight clothes were
once again dangerously close to the ripping point.
She winked at Shadow.
"In fact my darling, even this doesn't fully test my strength."
She then adjusted her
position and balance and took one of her arms off the bus leaving the weight of
it being supported by one arm. It started rocking back and forth a little.
Shadow was starting to feel humiliated by this. He was the ultimate life form.
He possessed the powers of chaos and the knowledge of many forms of combat. And
here was this muscle-bound hulk of a woman who has superhuman strength. Buff
finally leaned down to set down the bus and emerged from under it. She walked up
to Shadow, stood next to him, and put her arm around him. For the second time,
he didn't react to being touched like this.
"I've been waiting to
do this since Blur and I first got here. I wanted to show it to someone
special," she said as she brought her arm out in front of her so Shadow had a
clear view of it and began to flex it. Before she was even halfway through her
flex, her sleeve burst open revealing the largest bicep he had ever
seen. When she finished her flex, her bicep peak was huge; he
estimated it to be at least thirty inches around, with such amazing detail for a body that is covered with
fur. His humiliation all but disappeared. He just couldn't explain this feeling.
Could he really be in love with her? That's just preposterous... but is
it?
"So you like my
rock-hard biceps, eh? Go ahead and feel it. Try to squeeze it. Don't worry, you
won't hurt me," she cooed.
Shadow's heart
skipped a beat as he did just that. He felt her arm and it felt really warm to
the touch. But not only that, it felt like there was a rock made of steel under
her fur. As hard as he tried to squeeze it, it would not budge in the least.
Buff stepped back from him, turning her flexed arm to her side and flexed her
other arm, causing that sleeve to also burst immediately. The bicep swelled in
size to match her other one as she assumed a double bicep flex.
"I'm going to give
you to best display of feminine muscle you have ever, or will ever see," she
said as she began to flex her entire body. Now Shadow understood why she
insisted on wearing such tight clothes on her. It was like they merely served to
enhance the effect of how muscular she is. Her chest began to expand a few
inches as her breasts pushed through her shirt, causing it to explode from her
body. She had a bikini on that left a lot of her breasts showing. Her nipples
were hard and over an inch long as they formed a tiny little tent around them.
Her pectorals were like slabs of concrete. Her abs were bulging from her stomach
with small veins randomly spread over them. She shifted her focus into her legs.
Her thighs were already as big as Blur's, but now they got bigger. Her pant legs
exploded from within as her thighs bulged with indescribable power. Her calves
were full of rippling muscle. Shadow was mesmerized by the sight as she went
into a series of poses.
She was clearly enjoying this as she blew
Shadow a kiss. Shadow's face was blushing as she saw this. "Well, it seems that
I have finally met the real Shadow the Hedgehog. You see, I told you: you do
have a heart. A heart of stone could not feel the emotions
I sense in you. So please don't lie to me as I
feel you
want to," she said as she relaxed her body,
leaving her clothes torn all over.
She had on a thong underneath as she ripped
off the remainder of her pants. She looked stunning before but now, in nothing
but that thong and bikini, she looked like an Amazon goddess. She walked over to
him and slowly raised her hand to his cheek. Shadow's eyes were fixed on hers.
Suddenly, he slowly put his right hand on her hip and his left on her hand that
was on his cheek. The two were locked in each other's gaze. And for the first
time ever, Shadow smiled. And without a word, the two leaned toward each other
and kissed. It was so passionate, so loving, that Shadow never wanted this
moment to end. And last it did. Shadow put his arms around her waist as she
wrapped hers around his neck as they continued their warm embrace. Shadow knew
at this moment that he truly was in love with her. Her body, her lips, her eyes;
she was truly the perfect woman for him. And he never would have known
otherwise.
After several minutes of embracing
their newfound love for each other, they
finally separated their lips. Yet, they kept gazing into each other's eyes. Shadow found her
eyes to be the most enchanting thing about her. Buff had known enough of
Shadow's reputation to know that the love in his eyes was something exclusive to
her. She felt so joyful that she was the first to see it. Shadow gently stroked
her cheek.
"I love your incredible muscles. And I
love your eyes. God, I've wanted to say this, but your eyes are the most
alluring. You have the most beautiful face a woman could have. It's really your
face that I find the most attractive," he said
with warmth in his voice.
Buff's eyes filled with tears. She had never
received such a compliment before. Shadow could tell how touched she was as he
wiped her tears from her face with a finger. He leaned in and kissed her, Buff
returning the love. He leaned back and never took his eyes off her.
"I'm in love with you Buff. I never thought it
possible. I love you so much," Shadow said with joy in his voice.
Buff's face once
again filled with tears of happiness. "And I love you, my dearest Shadow. I
think that from the moment I met you, I had those feelings for you deep
down."
The moon was up in the sky as Shadow took
her hand and led her back to the lake. The moonlight was reflecting off the
surface as they sat down together on the bench. They had the fortune of being
the only ones there at this point. Shadow put his arm around her as she leaned
on him. They shared another brief kiss as they looked out into the water
absentmindedly. Shadow was a changed hedgehog. For the second time in his life, he had met someone he truly
cared most deeply for. And he felt lucky to share a passionate love with this
woman, this incredibly muscular woman with the most beautiful blue eyes that
pierced into his soul and awakened his humanity for the first time. For the
first time, he no longer felt empty inside. And for the first time, he felt
truly alive.

Chapter 6:
The Epilogue - Welcome to the Family!
As the
moon shined upon them, Shadow the Hedgehog and Buff the Bear were in each
other's arms. The love that blossomed between them was nothing short of
miraculous for someone like Shadow. He didn't want to accept it at first. But
his feelings were just so strong, that he inevitably surrendered to his newfound
love for her. And so they spent all evening into the late hours of the night
sharing the most tender of moments ever just being with each other. Every so
often, Shadow would put his hand around as much of Buff's bicep as he could and
she would flex it for him in turn as he tried to squeeze it, and failed to do so
every time. It was just so big, so hard, so strong, and so sexy. And he
just loved it.?>
And then there were
moments where they would just look in each other's eyes and share a
kiss. Buff, being someone who was supposed to be distant as Shadow
was cold, just fell for him. There was no explanation for it, she just did. And
Shadow, what a case! He was one who was never even created to have feelings like
this. He was created to be the ultimate life form, a so-called killing machine, with no
remorse. Oh sure he showed the capacity for compassion once or twice. But this
wasn't the same. After his encounter with Buff, her tender love for him as well
as her muscular body brought out those feelings. And now Shadow had once again
found something truly worth living for.
As midnight came, Shadow turned toward her.
"Buff, words simply cannot say how grateful I am. Because of you, I feel truly
alive for the first time. It's like I've been an empty shell roaming this world.
Nothing seemed to matter to me. But thanks to you, all that has changed. I love
you."
Buff's heart was on
fire. "You have no idea how much your words mean to me. No one has ever truly
loved me like this before. It seemed my incredible body was both a blessing and
a curse. But because of you, the curse aspect has been lifted. I can't wait to
show you what these muscles... these biceps can do!" she said as she flexed her
enormous peaks.
Shadow glanced at a
nearby clock on a pillar. "Well my love, I think it's time we got some sleep.
Sonic's little race is tomorrow and I want to be there to witness
it."
Buff stood up. "Yeah,
you're right."
She started walking
and turned around. "Let's get a room together here in town darling. I love you
so much and I want to consummate that love with you."
Shadow's heart skipped another beat as he
looked deep into her eyes. They were glowing with unrestrained love and
affection. He was feeling a bit nervous at the thought of sex. All of this was
so new to him. But all of this was such a wonderful thing that he almost half
expected this to be a dream. Buff was his dream, but it was truly
real.
Shadow's face lit up with content. "That's a
wonderful idea!" he said rather loudly, his excitement showing in his
voice.
Buff walked over, put her hand to his cheek and kissed him on the lips. With that, she took his hand and led him to the nearest hotel where they got themselves a room where they would spend the hottest night together for either of them.
-The Next
Day-
It was at first, quiet in town. People
still getting up to start the day, shops opening, and the sun rising. At the
inn, Shadow and Buff are cuddled up in bed together, naked. Shadow woke up
first. He felt at peace with the world for the first time since... well ever. It
was like his whole miserable life before he met this stunningly beautiful Amazon
bear was just a nightmare that he has finally
woken up from. He looked at her. She was like an angel to him. And while her
muscles were relaxed, they were still bulging impressively. She rolled over,
facing him and slowly opened her eyes.
"Good morning my
Shadow," she said dreamily.
Shadow caressed her
face. "Good morning my muscle lover."
She smiled as she
flexed her right arm for him in response. "I'm really glad you not only accept,
but really enjoy my muscular body. It's one of the reasons why I fell in love
with you."
Shadow couldn't
resist putting his hand on her rock hard bicep. It always gave him such a
thrill.
After lying there for
a few minutes, they finally got up, took showers, got dressed, and went
downstairs for breakfast. As much as they just wanted to be alone together all
day, they had a race to attend. As they were eating, Shadow looked up at her.
"There's something I was thinking about."
Buff, with her lovely
blue eyes, looked at him. "What's that lover?"
"Well, you have such
an incredibly muscular body. And your strength is simply off the chart. Your
thighs seem more ripped than Blur's. How come you aren't the one showing up
Sonic?" Shadow asked.
As she chewed down a
bite of sausage, she smiled. "Well you see, as hard as it is to believe, I can't
really run that fast. Oh sure I can run and still give you or Sonic a run for
your money. But these muscles are for sheer strength and power. Blur's
overdeveloped thighs are a result of running her entire life."
She reached across
the table and took Shadow's hand. "Tell you what, I think it's time I explained
how me and Blur got our powers. Let's head for the field and I'll explain it on
the way."
Shadow nodded as they
finished their breakfast and checked out. As they got outside, the town was
bustling with activity. They were content to
walk, but Buff's expression was showing a little annoyance.
"Let's run, at least out of this town. I never
liked crowded places," she said.
Shadow understood.
"Alright, I wanted to see how fast you can run anyway."
Buff got down into
the mark position. Shadow saw her wanting to have fun with this and did the
same.
"Ready? Set?" she
started to say, then out of the blue, gave Shadow a quick kiss on his lips.
"Go!" she yelled as she took off running, using Shadow's momentary distraction
to get a head start.
But he just smirked.
"Now that was a cheap shot!" he called out in mock annoyance. With that, he took
off after her with amazing speed.
Shadow was quickly
able to catch up to and pass her. He went into his fastest sprint and was soon
out of the town. He stopped and waited for a few seconds as finally, Buff
reached his position.
"Showoff," she said
with a smirk.
Shadow kissed her on
the lips. "I love you too. Besides, I can't let you have every advantage over
me."
Buff, who had a bit
of an ego herself next to her sister, was still humble enough to accept that
she's not perfect. She walked over to a boulder about the size of a car. It
looked like it weighed a couple tons. She smiled as she reared her leg back and
swung it at the boulder, breaking it apart at the point of impact. She was
watching Shadow's reaction as she did this and saw that he was a bit intimidated
by this. She walked over to Shadow and as she walked past him, she brushed her
hand across his cheek.
"I may not be fast
lover, but these legs are lethal just like the rest of me," she
said.
Shadow's eyes were
wide open as he looked at the rubble of what remained of the boulder. He was a
powerful fighter and could inflict mass damage against anyone he faced. But to
see her do that with one kick was unreal. He shook off his amazement and caught
up with her as they began their real stroll towards the sight of the
race.
"So tell me,
how did you get so strong? How did your sister get
to be so fast?" Shadow asked.
Buff thought a moment
and said, "Well I guess I should start with my sister's story. You see, when we
were born there was something different about us. Our genetics were... unique. I
don't remember what happened when we were very young. But from what I was told
by my parents, our powers seemed to manifest mere weeks after we were born. Blur
was given her name because she was able to not
only walk in less than a month, but she could run! In fact, she could run so
fast that our father had a hard time catching her. Naturally, he and mom decided
to affectionately name her Blur. Little did they know just how well she would
live up to her name. As she grew, she became consumed by her desire to find out
just how fast she could become. She spent every waking moment that she could
running all over the village. She would do various dashes from one end of the
village to the other."
Buff took a breath as
Shadow was taking all this in.
Buff continued: "Anyway, she was finally
able to make good use of her speed to draw away any predators that threatened
our village. She delighted in being able to do something new. But as time
passed, she started getting tired of being confined to her village. She wanted
to travel the world. It was at that point that Sonic the Hedgehog had gained
global fame for saving the world from Dr. Eggman's attempt at
enslaving the Mobians into his own robotic servants. Tales of his unbelievable
speed reached far and wide. Believe me, you have no idea how excited Blur got
when she heard that there was another as fast as her. She wanted to meet Sonic
and challenge him to a race a lot sooner, but our parents wouldn't allow it.
They said that if she were to beat Sonic, it would take the drive out of him and
he may not be the same anymore. Trust me, we knew about
Sonic's reputation, and also of his ego. No
one has ever been able to beat him in speed, but Blur was convinced she could do
it. For a while, she obeyed our parents, but kept on training. Before long, she
was so fast that she could skim the surface of any body of water without
sinking."
She took another deep
breath. "As many times as Sonic has effectively defeated the evil scientist, our
parents didn't want to mess with a good thing, and they were very protective of
her, as they were of me. But as more time went by, she became rebellious. I
personally couldn't blame her. One day, she came to me and asked if I could come
with her. She wanted to justify her actions by saying that I was with her. And
you know how strong and powerful I am. She knew I would ensure her safety to
minimize any trouble she might get in when we got back."
She paused again as
she chuckled. "No doubt she got quite an earful from mom and dad anyway. No
doubt they'll be on my case as well when I do return."
She looked at Shadow
who had a strange look on his face, but she understood it quickly. "It's not
like that all. I've already fully matured and was in the process of moving on my
own anyway. My sister is obviously the younger one. I have always been the wiser
one."
Shadow relaxed his
gaze. "So how about you? How did you get to be so incredibly
strong?"
Buff blushed a little. "To be honest, I'm
not entirely sure myself. I find it hard to explain it away with good genetics
like my sister. Neither of my parents were exceptionally strong. Though dad
could hold his own in a fight, it was nothing that anyone else
couldn't do. All that I know was that from the
moment I was born, I had an unusually high level of strength. In fact, I was
told that as a newborn, I grabbed my dad's finger and squeezed it so hard that
he actually flinched from the pain he felt."
She smiled warmly at
Shadow, as she knew how this information was affecting him.
"Suffice to say my
strength increased with age. And my parents, gotta love em! Rather than
feel threatened or intimidated by my gift, they encouraged it. They even got me
the heaviest weights they could find. But the shocking thing was that they
didn't challenge my might for very long. Eventually, not only was my strength
continuing to increase, but also my muscles. At first, it wasn't very
noticeable. But before long, I started developing amazing size and
definition, especially on my biceps," she said
as she flexed her enormous bicep, which swelled to the size of a basketball.
Shadow was turned on by the sight, but kept his composure.
"I was so strong that there was no doubt
who would be the guardian of our village. We've had a couple of beasts find
their way in past Blur, but each time I would rather easily tear them in half
with my bare hands and throw their remains into the
sea and out of sight," she
said.
Shadow was lost in her eyes as he said,
"One thing I must know: For someone with the most muscular physique I've ever
seen, how did you come to be also the most
beautiful woman I have ever seen?"
Buff blushed even more as she kissed him
on the cheek. "You are such a sweetheart. I guess it was because of my muscles
that I became obsessed with being a woman and not just an Amazon. It's kind of
ironic that I would be the one who liked the idea of being a Princess and my
sister being a tomboy. Of course, she still had the curves most women would die
for, except her legs of course. But she really didn't let that bother her. I, on
the other hand, always envied her curves.
Granted, I took great pride in my muscles, but there was a part of me that
wanted to be curvy all over. That's why I like to wear makeup a lot. It helps me
feel like a woman first and an Amazon second."
Her story was having
an intoxicating effect on Shadow. From where he stood, she succeeded beyond her
wildest dreams. Buff felt his emotions and was so much in love with him. "My
parents were so proud of me. I came to feel that pride as if it were my own. It
was then that I discovered that I was also empathic. It comes in handy when I am
wondering if someone is lying to me or not."
Shadow had one last
question for her: "So how much can you lift?"
But all she could say
was: "I don't know. I haven't established my limit yet."
At last, they had
returned to the field where they met. Sonic was there with Tails. But Blur
wasn't there yet. Sonic saw them and would normally go to greet them, but he was
at a loss for Shadow's complete change in personality. Shadow saw this and
instead walked up to him. Without even a word, he offered his hand for a
handshake.
"It's alright; Buff
and I are in love. She has shown me a new life. And for the first time, I no
longer resent you. I have something to live for now and our rivalry... just
doesn't seem important to me anymore," he said.
Sonic was truly
impressed by his change. He slowly took his hand and he shook it. He forced
himself to break the awkward moment. "So does this mean I can call you buddy?"
Sonic asked.
But as they shook
hands, Shadow's expression became stern: "Not a chance."
He let go and walked
back over to Buff who sat down on the ground and joined her. Sonic walked over
to Tails. "Hey bro, I'm glad you decided to join me for this. I wasn't sure if
you would come."
Tails had a somber look on his face. "Actually, I feel bad for how I treated Blur, and you."
Sonic patted his
back. "Hey, don't sweat it. It was understandable."
Suddenly, they heard
a sonic boom in the distance as something moved toward them with unbelievable
speed. It was Blur. She skidded to a stop in front of Sonic.
"Hiya, Sonic!" she
said as she turned to Shadow and Buff. "Hey guys! Did you two get..." "SHUT
UP!!" came out of Buff and Shadow's mouths at the same time.
"Alright, alright,"
she said with a playful wink.
She turned to Sonic.
"So, you brought the chaos emeralds?"
Sonic pulled out one
of the emeralds, the blue one, and held it out. "Got 'em right
here."
"Good! You ready?"
she asked.
Sonic gestured to
Tails, who walked up to her.
"Before you two begin, I wanted to
apologize for the way I snapped at you yesterday," he started to say, but Blur held up her hand.
"No, I'm the one who's sorry.
It's just that I've been living solely in my village all my life,
so I wanted to get out and test my speed all over the world. I
guess my enthusiasm was so great that I didn't consider the effect it would have on others. I didn't mean for your
camera to break. I was actually looking to buy you a replacement," she
said.
But Tails smiled.
"Ah, it's OK; I can build another one. It's cheaper for me to build it from
parts instead of buying one whole. Anyway, Sonic talked me into refereeing this
race. We studied the most detailed map of the entire world and found the most
optimal route," he said as he gestured everyone else to gather
round.
Tails pulled out an electronic device that looked like a digital
map. Tails pointed to a spot on the map. "This is
where we are now. I figured this race would be a worldwide dash straight around
the planet."
He pointed to a line
he drew. "If you go in this direction, you'll be able to avoid going through any
cities or towns. There will still be some mountains and two oceans to cross, but
nothing directly blocking your path that you would have to go
around."
He walked over and
dragged his foot across the ground in a straight line. "If you two start from
right behind this line, you'll be facing the direction outlined on the map. When
the race begins, just run straight the entire time and you'll return to this
point. But be warned, you'll need to keep up your speed, especially as you cross
the oceans, or you'll sink. And as fast as you'll be going, there's no way I or
anyone will be able to get to you right away. So please be careful."
He also pulled out
what looked like small wristbands with an electronic circuit on them. He handed
one to Sonic and the other to Blur.
"Put these around
your wrists. They are transponders and will let us monitor your location as you
race. I'll have a flash camera that will be taking several pictures per second
as you approach the finish line to ensure we know who the winner is," Tails
said.
Sonic's eyes were
full of determination; he had to win this race at all costs. He needed this.
Blur walked up to the starting line and watched as Sonic did the
same.
Tails walked up to
behind them. "Alright. You ready Sonic? Go ahead and transform."
All eyes were on
Sonic as he pulled out the Chaos Emeralds and held each of them in the air as
they began circling him. Once all of them were surrounding him, they began to
glow. All of a sudden, "CHAOS CONTROL!" was heard as the emeralds disappeared in
a flash of light along with Shadow. And in less than a second, another flash of
light and Shadow re-appeared along with the emeralds. Sonic was in his face in a
heartbeat.
"What
was that for? What did you do?" Sonic said angrily.
But Shadow seemed undeterred.
"Sorry Sonic, there was something I had to do and I needed the emeralds for a
moment to do it. I promise you I've done nothing that will affect your
race."
Sonic was suspicious of this when he
felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Buff's.
"It's OK, Sonic. He's
telling the truth," she said reassuringly.
Finally, Sonic relaxed himself and walked back
to the starting line along with Blur. He cast one more look at Shadow, who
remained expressionless, and finally returned to the matter at hand. Once again,
the emeralds rose up and circled around him as they began to glow. And in
seconds, they merged with Sonic as he transformed into Super Sonic. His fur
turned a brightly glowing yellow and his eyes changed from green to red. He had
an aura that surrounded him as he emanated power. His expression was of the
utmost seriousness. Even Blur was amazed by the sight. She was so excited about
the challenge that stood before her. Despite her easy defeat of him the day before, she knew
that with the power of the emeralds, he would truly challenge her. Tails held up
a pop-gun.
"Alright. On your
mark!..."
Sonic got down on his hands, bracing for
takeoff. Blur began jogging really fast in place until her legs were but a vague
shape.
"Get set!..."
Blur tried to catch
Sonic's gaze, but he stared straight ahead. She realized that he was very
serious about this, and was all focused on the race that was about to
start.
"And GO!!" as Tails'
pop-gun went off. Two yellow streaks departed from the starting line and, within
seconds, vanished over the
horizon!

Chapter 6: The
Epilogue - Welcome to the Family!
The transformation is
complete; Sonic has become Super Sonic. The gun has sounded, and the two
competitors take off in a double streak of
yellow light. Tails is astonished at the sight as they very quickly disappear
over the horizon. He immediately pulled out his digital map. Shadow and Buff
gather around him as the map makes a beeping sound coming from two dots on it.
And while they appear to be moving slowly on the map, they are actually moving
way past the speed of sound. Tails chose this route for a reason. The sonic
booms they are generating are so powerful and deafening that the damage to
buildings would be extreme.
"This is just unbelievable!" Tails says. "I've
seen Sonic use the Chaos Emeralds before, but I have never seen him go so fast.
I had no idea how fast he could truly go in that form!"
Shadow was repressing
his anger. While he had chosen to drop his agenda against Sonic, he still felt
some lingering resentment over his abilities and still had a deep-seated need to
prove himself ultimately superior to Sonic, never mind Blur.
"How fast are they
going, Tails?" Buff asked.
Tails studies the
readings closely. "If these calculations are correct, they are steadily
accelerating and have already exceeded Mach 2 and are fast approaching Mach
3!"
The three stared in
amazement, even Buff. She has known her sister to be this fast. But to see her
going all out like this is just unreal. She could see why she wanted to get out
of the village so badly.
-Meanwhile-
The two speedsters
blew by one of the mountains in the northern hemisphere. They were moving
too fast to feel the changes in the climate. The snow they were kicking
up was reaching fifty feet high and the sonic booms were causing
surface quakes. So far, they are running dead even with each other. Sonic's eyes
are a steady focus of effort while drawing power from the Chaos Emeralds. And,
while no one would be able to see it, Blur's thighs are bulging to the max with
incredible strength as she moves them beyond mortal capability. They quickly
approach another mountain even farther north where it's now very cold. They sped
up it so fast that they flew off it like a ramp. Blur, never having run over
mountains before, wasn't expecting this to happen and struggled to keep her
balance in midair. Sonic on the other hand, has much better control over his
ascent and is literally flying through the air. They were like yellow streaks
flying through the air. Sonic changed his angle and aimed for the ground, as did
Blur, but with greater difficulty. She's not about to let herself fall behind.
As soon as Sonic's feet touched the ground, he shifted instantly back to
running, as did Blur, who found the transition much easier than the other way
around. Soon enough, they passed over the northernmost part of Mobius near the
polar icecaps and are now heading south along the other side of the
planet.
Back at the field, Tails, Shadow, and Buff
are watching the action as simple dots on the digital map. Shadow is beside
himself; he has never seen Sonic move that fast before, even with
the use of the Chaos
Emeralds.
"This is just so
radical! They are dead even with each other! Your sister is so fast, it's just
unreal!" Tails said.
Shadow couldn't help but feel a little
betrayed by this. All those times; all those battles, and he had never seen
Sonic use that kind of speed against him in battle. Buff could feel his troubled
nature and wrapped her muscled arm around his chest from behind. This calmed him
down and he relaxed himself as he took her hand in his. While it may take some
getting used to, to be with someone who can sense your emotions, whether you
want her to know or not, she certainly has the most sensual touch.
Tails looked up from
his readout. "They are on course for the equator and are about to cross the
first ocean. They have surpassed Mach 3!"
Buff was curious as
she asked. "Is that faster than a speeding bullet?"
Sonic and Blur were still dead even
with each other as they crossed onto the vast ocean. The speed they were
now moving at was causing the water behind them to form a rooster-tail
75 feet high. A couple of nearby boats become
waterlogged from the walls of water being generated. The two were trying to
avoid running too near any of the boats, but their extreme velocities were
making it hard to turn quickly. That and they didn't want to risk going off
course.
Blur was starting to feel her stamina
weaken. She has run
around at these speeds many times, but this time is much longer than before. Her
muscular thighs are bulged to the max as they continued to put out the power.
But she can feel that her energy was beginning to drain and, if she doesn't
reach the field soon enough, she may lose and she wants to prove herself
ultimately superior to Sonic in every way.
Sonic gathered as many rings as he could
find before the race. He had around a thousand and knew that his ring count
would decrease by one with every second. He had no way of knowing how many rings
he had at any given time because he was absorbed in the race moving at top
speed. It just astounded him that Blur was matching his speed the entire time
thus far. But he had to win. It may seem selfish and even arrogant, but he has
drawn from his pride as the fastest ever and, having the thought of someone
who's faster than him is more than he could endure. And he knew that he would do his best to win this race at
all costs and redeem himself.
They returned to land as they passed the
equator. The extreme sonic booms they were creating were heard for miles in every direction.
At the field, the three are still waiting.
Buff is putting on a little muscle flexing for Shadow while Tails is engrossed
in the race as he watched the digital map. They are fast approaching near the
southernmost part of Mobius near the polar
region.
"You can do it Sonic," Tails said. "You
just need to clear the polar region and you'll
be in the final stretch."
And sure enough, the
two were rapidly passing through the frozen regions of the southernmost part of
Mobius. As they began moving toward warmer temperatures, Blur was really
starting to feel the effort being put into moving like a bullet. Super Sonic,
being powered by the Emeralds, which in turn were being powered by his rings,
wasn't feeling any such fatigue. He had a feeling his his ring count was
already getting low. In fact, it was down
to under fifty. He had less than a minute to reach the finish line. And he still
had to cross one more ocean.
Tails was jumping up and down excitedly. "Come
on Sonic! You got to move faster! You're rings are down to forty!"
The transponder
device Super Sonic was wearing was also monitoring the number of rings in his
possession. Shadow and Buff came back over and huddled around Tails. After a few
tense moments, one of the dots began to move faster than the other one. It was
Super Sonic.
Super Sonic's body
began to glow even brighter as he began drawing as much power as he possibly
could from the Chaos Emeralds. He was below thirty rings left and the count was
now dropping one and a half times faster. His speed had now exceeded Mach 4
and, as he crossed the second ocean, he was producing waves over 150 feet high.
Blur was not far behind as her speed was still sufficient to let her punch right through the walls of water like they
were just air; instead causing another wall of water to interact with the first
one. She summoned up every last bit of strength she could for one final burst
and propelled her legs faster than she had ever run before. Now she too had
exceeded Mach 4 and her body began to glow. Suddenly, the atmosphere around her
became super-heated; she became a lightning fast streak of fire shooting across
the surface as she flew over land once more on the last stretch for the finish
line.
Super Sonic's ring
count was reaching ten...
"Um, I think we
should step a ways back from the finish line and cover our ears!" Tails
warned.
They backed away as
Tails quickly zoomed in on the finish line and watched as the dot that was Blur
rapidly gaining on Sonic, as he was fixing to cross the finish line. It was
gonna be close!
Five...four...three...two!
Suddenly, a thunderous sonic boom erupted as two fiery streaks of
light blew by the finish line so fast they seemed simultaneous! Tails' camera
was flashing rapidly the whole time as the shockwave immediately sent him, Buff,
and Shadow flying back several feet in different
directions.

- Welcome to the Family!
Tails got up and checked his camera.
He was relieved to see his camera didn't break this time.?>ML:NAMESPACE PREFIX

"Sonic!? Blur!?" Buff called out.
They weren't anywhere nearby. The momentum might have caused them
to go another several miles before they could come to a stop. Tails took flight
as Shadow sprinted off with Buff trailing behind. It took them several minutes
moving at top speed to get there, but they finally reached the site where Sonic
and Blur were.
Shadow was the first on the scene and saw them
both on the ground... motionless. Tails soon arrived. It was another good minute
before Buff herself arrived. The sight before them was both shocking and
terrifying. Sonic had reverted back to his regular form, the rings all but gone.
But both he and Blur's bodies were glowing. In seconds, it faded. Shadow walked
over to Sonic to examine him. He put his hand on his neck to check for a
pulse.
"He's still alive," he said.
"And my sister?" Buff asked.
He walked over to check her. "She's alive,
too."
His attention was turned toward her thighs. Buff
noticed too. They were massive! They were now more detailed than even Buff's and
were harder than the strongest steel. They made her seem even more
disproportionate than before. Buff was really impressed by her younger sister
being as fast as she had become.
Shadow wanted to feel resentment towards Sonic.
But, instead of resentment, he felt... impressed by Blur's feat. Here was
someone who managed to move faster than ever thought possible under muscle power. It
seemed as if, given enough time, the speed of light itself might have become
attainable. After a couple of minutes, Sonic began to stir. He slowly opened his
eyes, as his vision was blurry at first. He was disoriented. After moving at
speeds of several times the speed of sound, his whole body was overwhelmed by
the rapid deceleration in speed as he tried to stop. The process overwhelmed his
body, as it did Blur's, causing them to both lose consciousness for a brief
time. Blur was still out as Sonic was helped to his feet by Shadow.
"Whoa. What a headache this is," Sonic said as
he clutched his head.
Tails ran up to him. "That was so incredible!
Have you any idea how fast you were going? You exceeded Mach 4 and, well let's
just say that I wouldn't be surprised if the whole world could hear those sonic
booms!"
Sonic smiled. "Thanks, buddy."
He looked at Blur with concern. "Is she, gonna
be OK?"
It was Buff who answered. "She'll be alright.
Her leg muscles have clearly become highly strengthened during the race. Like
any heavily worked muscles, her legs need time to rest and recover. But once she
does, her speed will no doubt be truly unbeatable, possibly not even by you."
Finally, Blur stirred and rolled onto her back.
Her eyes slowly opened and a painful headache took hold of her.
"Oh man, feels like someone rattled my brain,"
she said as her vision came back into focus. She saw Sonic standing over her
offering his hand. She gladly took it as she was helped back to her feet.
"Thanks Sonic," she said as she began to feel
the aftermath excitement.
"Wow, what a race! Who's up for round two!?" she said excitedly. Everyone fell over in hilarious response.
Buff walked over to her. "Do you have any idea
how fast you were going?"
Blur pondered a moment. "Well...no."
She chuckled. "Tails, what did you say that
speed was?"
Tails grinned. "You exceeded Mach 4 and were
approaching the never-before attained Mach 5. You fell behind as the race was
winding down, but then you just picked up speed and quickly closed the gap
between you and Sonic, who was at his maximum."
Tails looked at Sonic. "You were
at your maximum, weren't you?"
Sonic replied. "As far as I knew. I drew as much
power from the Chaos Emeralds as I could. I must admit, I was going faster than
I have ever gone. The experience of it was... thrilling!"
Blur jumped up and down excitedly. "So who won?!
Who won?!"
Tails grabbed his camera and turned on the
display screen on the back.
"Oh yeah, we do need to determine who won,"
Tails said.
Everyone gathered around him as he began to play
back each picture in slide show mode. The first several showed nothing. But then
a blurry yellow image appeared in the stills followed by another. No one could
tell who was who, so Tails used his built in image enhancer. The first blurry
image was revealed to be Sonic.
Tails' face lit up. "Alright! It looks like
Sonic is the winner!"
Blur, though slightly disappointed, walked over
to Sonic and to everyone's surprise, grabbed his face and planted a firm kiss to
his lips. Sonic's face seemed to turn beet red.
"You're so awesome," Blur said. She suddenly
collapsed to the ground.
Everyone looked worried when Buff picked her up.
"She'll be alright. She's just exhausted, that's all."
"How about we all celebrate with some chili dogs
back in town!" Sonic said excitedly.
Tails and Buff responded with equal excitement.
And this time, even Shadow showed enthusiasm, something completely unlike him. Buff
was really proud of him and deeply in love. This is the sort of life he was
denied since his creation. He never had a choice before.
Buff put a hand on Sonic's shoulder. "Let's take
our time getting there, shall we? I want Blur to get some rest. Carrying her
won't be a problem."
Shadow smiled and put his hand on something he
was carrying on his person. He wanted to do it here at the field, but decided to
wait until the celebration ended.
By the time they reached the outskirts of town,
Blur had finally woken up. Buff set her down as they paused to give her time to
get reoriented with her surroundings. She suddenly looked down at her thighs,
drawing everyone's, but especially Sonic's, attention towards them as well. No
one was paying attention before due to the excitement of the celebration to
come. Her thighs weren't any bigger than after the race, but the detail was
breathtaking. Her legs were just emanating power, even surpassing Buff's
legs by a margin. She felt the newly increased strength in her legs and it drew
her attention. It felt like she was hovering on air. Even the rest of her body
showed some newfound muscle tone to accommodate those legs. It was like her legs
were overflowing with muscle and strength and had to disperse a little of it to
the rest of her body. So her disproportion ratio was back to the way it was
before the race, except she now had the upper body of a gymnast, and the lower
body of a Herculean muscle god.
Blur noticed Sonic, but instead of her bubbly
personality showing, she just blushed as she walked up to him and without
warning, kissed him again. Sonic returned the embrace as she rubbed one of her
hugely muscled thighs against his own. This aroused him quite a bit, but the
presence of his friends kept him at bay. She was quite uninhibited, a trait that
even Sonic wasn't prepared for. When she pulled away from him, her eyes were
full of affection and adoration.
"I'm in love with you Sonic. And I know you are
in love with me as well," she said.
Tails, Shadow, and Buff stood back watching this
exchange. They all couldn't help but smile. Even Shadow was grinning a bit to himself.
Sonic's eyes were on Blur's. "Yes. I am very
much in love with you as well. But how could you tell I felt the same way about
you?"
Blur grinned and went back to her usual
personality. "Oh, call it a woman's intuition," she said as she gave him a
teasing look. She was definitely the woman for Sonic.
Everyone couldn't help but laugh, as did Sonic
and Blur, as they resumed their stroll to town. Sonic and Blur were hand in
hand, as were Shadow and Buff. Tails was the only one without a significant
other. He was in love once with an interstellar plant-like alien species female
named Cosmo. But she sacrificed herself to save the universe from the Dark Oak
planet by fusing with it. But it was ultimately Tails himself who was forced to
kill her to ensure the Dark Oak's destruction. And, though Sonic and Shadow in
their Super forms were able to use Chaos Regeneration to save her from certain
death, all they could produce was a seed. The seed was planted in a pot, but so
far it hasn't grown past that of a typical-looking plant.
It was hard for Tails to see his best friend and
Shadow having found their true loves. But he was happy for them all the same.
And so they entered town and proceeded for the hot dog shoppe. Sonic order a
round of chili dogs which everyone, especially himself and Blur, began to gorge.
Sonic and Blur didn't realize how hungry they were until they started eating.
Their collective presence drew lots of attention from other tables. But this
time, none of them cared. They were having a great time celebrating.
Shadow was eating the least of everyone as he
had a lot on his mind. He waited patiently for everyone else to finish eating.
After everyone was stuffed, he stood up.
"There's something I want to say, but not here.
Can all of you come with me to the lake on the edge of town?" Shadow asked
everyone.
Everyone told him sure. They were basically just
flowing with the evening. And so Shadow, with Buff on his arm, led Sonic, Blur,
and Tails to the lake where they had first met. The sun was low and the sky was
bathed in twilight. Shadow turned to Buff, his back facing the water. He took
Buff's hand in hers as the others watched.
"Buff, though we've only known each other for a
couple days, the love that has blossomed between us is eternal," he said as he
let his eyes wander over to Sonic.
"I used Chaos Control before the race because
there was something I had to get. I needed the Chaos Emeralds because I needed
their maximum power to freeze time long enough to get this..." Shadow said as
his eyes shifted back to Buff's. Her eyes were full of love and her heart was
skipping beats. Shadow pulled out a small fuzzy box smaller than his hand, and
got down on one knee and bowed to her, while holding it up in the air.
"....for you Buff. It is with greatest love and
honor that I ask for your hand in marriage," Shadow said as he looked up into
Buff's eyes. She was just stunned at this.
"Buff the Bear, will you marry me?" Shadow asked
with the warmest smile anyone had ever seen on him.
Buff was choking back tears as he opened up the
box, revealing a sparkling emerald ring. She took it from the box and held it in
front of her, but her eyes were locked on Shadow's. Seconds passed, but to
Shadow, they felt like an eternity. Finally...
"Oh, Shadow! I love you very much! I would be so
overjoyed to marry you!" she said as she picked him off the ground and hugged
him rather tightly. She was so caught up in the moment that she didn't realize
that the strength of her arms was crushing Shadow and cutting off his
circulation. Blur ran over to her and shook her shoulder. "Careful sis, you're
crushing him!" she exclaimed.
Buff realized what she was doing and dropped
Shadow, who was in pain, but no worse for wear. He got himself up and everyone
just laughed, as did he.
But Buff much more gently took Shadow, and once
again hugged him. She held him for what seemed like minutes and then kissed him
passionately.
"Oh geez, get a room already, will you!?" Blur
said.
Buff kept looking into Shadow's eyes. "I think that's a great idea!"
-The Next Day-
"Well, it's time we headed home. We've got a lot
of news to deliver to our parents," Buff said
to Blur.
"Yeah, though I'm not sure if they'll let me get
this serious with Sonic like you did with Shadow," Blur said.
"Oh, I don't know about that. I may be the elder
sister, but you seem to have grown into a fine young woman yourself. I bet I can
convince them to accept your choice," Buff said.
Blur hugged Buff. "Thanks, Sis. That means a lot
to me."
"Hey, don't mention it. With your speed, I
couldn't think of anyone more suited to you," Buff said.
"We'll be waiting here for you both," Sonic told
them.
Buff grinned as she looked at Shadow. "You and
Tails may be waiting here, but Shadow is coming with me. After all,
he did ask me to marry him. He's gonna have to explain it to my
parents."
Shadow looked nervous at this. But Buff quickly
changed her tack. "Relax Shadow, I was just kidding. They'll adore you, I just
know it! After all, I am the strongest and the most muscular woman on the face
of Mobius. They know I'm a big girl," Buff said teasingly, as she flexed an
impressively large bicep.
Tails ran up and placed a camera on a tripod.
"Wait, let's get a picture for posterity."
Everyone lined up. Sonic decided to stand next
to his best friend as they put their arms over each other's shoulders. Buff and
Blur did the same, with Buff using her free arm to flex, her bicep swelling to
enormous size and definition, and Blur stretching out one of her muscular thighs
and using her free hand to give the sideways peace sign. Shadow was content to
just stand on the other side of Buff with his arms crossed and a faint trace of
a smile on his face; shades of his old personality. The timer was set to ten
seconds and, as they were all in position, the camera flashed.
Blur kissed Sonic. "I can't wait to race you
again in the future! You really are the fastest Mobius has to offer! But I just
know I can one day truly surpass you!"
Sonic just smirked. "And I'll be practicing
harder than ever to give you that challenge, hopefully without even using the
Chaos Emeralds."
Shadow walked up to Sonic. "Hey. Let me borrow
one of the Chaos Emeralds."
Sonic looked at him. Even now, he wasn't so
quick to trust him with them.
Shadow understood fast. "I just want to travel
back with Buff using teleportation, that's all and I need an emerald to do it
over long distances."
Sonic pulled out one of the emeralds and slowly
handed it to Shadow. "All right. I guess I've got to do my part and trust
you."
He took the emerald and began to walk back
toward Buff, but then turned back to Sonic. "I... am sorry for all the trouble
I've caused you since we've met."
Sonic looked at him and smiled, but didn't say
anything as Blur started her trademark jog in place, as her super-powered legs
began to pick up steam.
"See you later guys!" she said as she sped off
with blinding speed.
Buff took Shadow's arm as he held out the Chaos
Emerald. "I'll be back. And Sonic, we still have that race to finish."
Sonic gave him a thumbs up, "Count on
it...buddy."
"And I told you not to call me buddy." he said
with a touch of annoyance, but with a hint of a smile.
After a brief pause, "CHAOS CONTROL!" Shadow yelled, as he and Buff disappeared in a flash of light.
-Two weeks later-
"Shadow! Shadow!" Buff said excitedly.
"What is it Buff?" he said.
Buff took Shadow's hand. "It seems it's my turn
to give you some happy news!"
"Yes?" Shadow said with a smile.
Buff leaned in and gave him a kiss and whispered: "Shadow, I'm pregnant!"
~ THE END ~
