The Devil's Trilogy Chapter IX: A reason for murder


                               Ten Years Ago ... 

      It was a dark and stormy night.  The rain came down in sheets.  The
sound of the rain beating against the window reminded little five year old
Tommy Kincaid of an army marching up to his house.  In his bed hoping it
was like a cloak of invisibility he drew up his comforter like a medieval
Shield to ward off the evil emperor and empress that dwelled in the castle.
 A crack of thunder followed by a bolt of lightning that light up the night
sky striking a transformer like the fury of a dragons breath breathing fire
onto the warrior who hopes to slay him.  He took refuge in his quilted fort
when all of a sudden.  The creaking of the halls followed by footsteps that
came right up to the door frightened the child so.  The child Tommy spoke
oh please god do not make it the evil ones I did nothing wrong.
      With another crack of thunder the door burst open.  In the darkness a
Silhouette of a female was in the door standing their like some kind of
mythical god.  He wanted to stand brave but was afraid so he drew up his
blanket shield in hopes of thwarting the eminent attack.  Another crash of
thunder rumbled and another lighting bolt flash causing everything in an
eye shot to grow very dark.  He no longer could see the eminent danger that
now was in the room with him he felt his shield being pulled back he let
out a scream that was quickly muffled when a hand locked with a death grip
over his mouth.  It's just me a sigh of relief it had been a false alarm
for the danger was not of the emperor and empress but Lady Lora the
friendly princess of this castle.  But alas this is no fairy tale for they
have happy endings.  This is no castle and Tommy is not the cowardly prince
he is merely a child and Lora is his sister.  The danger comes from the
room next door.  The emperor and empress are not rulers of the kingdom
however killers in the night.  Tommy would block out the horror he heard
with his sister often times by playing castle as if their home was a castle
and they battled to keep out the forces of evil.  Their very own parents
Jamie and Harry Kincaid probably the two most formidable serial killers of
all time.
      Just the night before was the second night of the legendary three day
stormed that rocked New Jersey causing 7 deaths, but only five were caused
by the storm.  The names of their game were lore and conquer.  First they
would lore young couples like themselves to their home for some adult
entertainment.  Once inside the games would begin.  They were masters at
deception; they would tie up the men.  He would then watch in horror while
would take a club and bash her face in to an unrecognizable pulp. All the
while they satisfied themselves on her somewhat lifeless body.
      Then for the man that much of a quick death just wasn't in the cards.
First they would drag him into the shower wear they would bath him in her
spilled blood and force him to drink her spilled nectar.  Then drag him to
the bed that his beloved blood was spilled ending her life then forcing him
to make love to them in her very blood.   After they satisfied their primal
urges they would got him slowly pulling his insides out showing him his
body's parts till he fell dead.
      But don't feel sorry for them, because sometimes they would get sick
and torture their victims for days.  The worse part about this whole thing
they couldn't hide from young Tommy and Lora.  So when the nights came of
the big storm on night 3 they were already in killing mode.  Night three
would prove to be a night to end all nights.  This poor girl broke down up
the block and came to Jamie and Harry's door for help and quickly learned
she was going to be storm victim number eight.
      That is when the storm reached its apex and Tommy jumped into his
covers.  Lora came into the room hoping to hide from their parents that
seemed to be in a particularly foul mood.  Tommy don't scream it's just me
Lora.  Don't let them know we are awake please.  She slowly removed her
hand off his mouth.  Lora I thought you were them he said at a whisper.
Are mommy and Daddy hurting someone else again?  Oh god Tommy they been
torturing her for hours.  Tommy we got to do something.  I am so afraid
hold me Tommy.  Tommy and Lora grabbed each other and squeezed each other
with all their might.  Lora was so frightened that she burst into tears.
She balled harder and harder with each crack of thunder.  Tommy asked did
they do something to you Lora?  Yes mommy hurt me and she said she was
coming back for me, Tommy if they kill me promise me you will run.  Don't
look back, don't ever look back just run as fast as you can get to the cops
and tell them everything about mommy and you will get a good home.
      Lora lets leave together I don't want to be alone.  I am scared don't
make me leave alone.  I can't Tommy they will be looking for me in a minute
she burst out into tears.  Just then the door burst open.  It was their mom
Jamie wear are you?  You little bitch.  I know you're in here come out or
I'll take Tommy instead.  Lora said no don't hurt him.  A hand came into
the bed and grabbed up Lora by the hair.  She started getting drug out of
the room by her hair.  Tommy stood up and said let her go.  Tommy screamed
don't hurt her!  Shut up you little fuck or your next.  Lora screamed shut
up Tommy please don't make them do this to you too.  Do what I told you
Tommy do what I told you to do!  What bitch what did you do tell him to run
if you did your dead.  Tommy you try to run she'll pay be good she'll be
back in a few hours don't be stupid.  Theirs no chance for her if you
leave.  A large looking man came to the door what the fuck is the hold up
he asked?
      I think Lora was trying to get Tommy to run.  Lora if you told him to
run for it your one stupid bitch you know my brother John and his wife
Janine are next door and are always out and not to mention my sister
Patricia and her husband Luke on the other side.  I know you're trying to
get him killed now. When are you two going to realize you will be free when
we die till then?  Feel fortunate when you see daylight, because the next
nightfall that comes might be your last.
      Tommy dove under the covers to scared to even look anymore just
praying that the night would go away.  He heard the door slam and Jamie say
he ain't going any wear.  Then Harry replied Lora I sware when we are done
with you will never fuck with us again.  He then heard another door slam.
Then almost immediately you heard Lora scream at something she laid eyes on
in that room.  Tommy jumped out of bed and started pacing around the room
wanting to do what his sister asked.  In his heart he knew if he opened his
window and climbed down he could get away with out a problem, but he also
knew they would kill Lora for it.  Their was no way he was going to leave
her.  Even being so young he knew something had to be done.  His brain
couldn't come up with anything.
      Then from the other room he heard Lora scream Oh god no please don't
make me!  He ran from his room to the door at the end of the hall which was
their room!  Get off me help!  Then he heard the sound of Lora being
whipped with a belt and her screaming and it being muffled a sound he heard
and recognized very easy.  He tried to open the door it was bolted shut and
all you could here is her screaming.  He started grabbing his hair and
tearing it out not being able to help her.  He started slamming his head
into the wall, and he just couldn't take it anymore.  He started screaming
at the top of his lungs Leave her the fuck alone you mother fuckers.  You
kill her your going to have to kill me mother fuckers let her go.  Then all
of a sudden out of the room emerged his father.  He ran up to Tommy and
kicked with everything he had.  Tommy managed to duck and he kicked the
wall.  He grimmest in pain and screamed go to bed or I sware I will go in
their and kill her.  He ran to his room and shut the door.
      He heard the other door slam again he then started hearing a sound
that really started to disturb him.  He heard her scream followed by a
sound of all the wind being sucked out of her and he kept hearing this over
and over again.  He burst from his room and ran down the stairs to the
living room.  He ran into the den wear dad kept the cabinets that were
always locked and he thought no one knew wear the key was.  But often Tommy
would hide in the kitchen off to the back and would see threw a crack in
the door wear dad hid it and he knew the contents.
      He rushed and got the key from under the edge of the carpet that was
cut away but cleverly hid under the edge of the cabinet.  He retrieved the
key after a brief struggle with the cabinet and moving it.  He took the key
and unlocked the cabinet as fast as he could revealing the contents which
was several hand guns that he always kept ready and loaded just in case.
He had about six of them and several shot guns so he grabbed four of them
leaving two.  Then he shut and locked the cabinet and returned the key and
ran back to his room.   He hid the guns under the pillow of his bed not
knowing wear else to put them.
      The storm seemed to be quieting down.  But the one brewing in the
house was just getting going.  Tommy was pushed so far over the edge not
knowing the pain that was being endured by his sister who always tried to
protect him.  Then almost without warning he heard the door to their room
open.  Then all your could hear was a huge thud followed by a blood
curtailing scream and cry by Lora.  They slammed the door and returned to
the girl they still had locked up in their room.
      You could hear Lora crying hysterically, not being able to contain
himself any longer he bolted out into the hallway.  He knelt beside her and
said I am sorry Lora.  Please come in my room I have something you need to
see.  To hysterical to resist she let him lead her into the room and shut
the door.  He looked at her some her clothes were missing like the tee
shirt she was wearing.  He darted across the hall to Lora's room and got
her a whole outfit.  When he returned she discovered the guns under the
pillow.
      Is this your surprise Tommy?  Yes Lora I am sorry if its wrong but if
they come in here and try to take you away I am going to use it.  No one
will ever hurt you again he started breaking down not knowing how to
express the pain he was feeling.  She grabs a hold of him and said.  Listen
to me Tommy.  This is not the first and will not be the last time they hurt
me.  They do it all the time.  They both like hurting me.  In ways you
can't understand!  Lora what did they do to you in their?  Tommy its better
you never know that!  Maybe when you're older, but not know it's just to
sick to talk about.  Oh that!  What Lora said?  What do you mean oh that?
      Lora did they make you do the bad stuff to them?  Tears started
bursting out of her eyes.  How do you know about that?  She told me I
needed to learn how to do the bad stuff if I was ever going to be a man.
Lora said did she touch you?  No but he tried mom slapped him and said I
was too young.  Dad punched her then she told dad she start teaching me the
bad stuff.  She said like they taught you!  Tommy there is no way their
ever going to touch you.  We are leaving.  Just get a few outfits a piece
you hear put them in a bag.  Then throw them out your window on the front
lawn.  Tommy I want you to listen to me very carefully.  Mom and Dad want
to kill us.  We half to kill them if we ever want to have a chance to live.

      When you're done packing the bags on throwing them out the window come
into my room.  I have a way that mom and dad will never hurt us again.  She
opened the door and went across in to her room as she opened the door you
heard the sound of a women gasping for air and trying to scream, then being
garbled by something then silenced again.  She slowly shut the door hoping
not to make any sounds at all and crept into her room.  She slipped out her
window and down a wooden ladder she set up on the side of the house some
time ago.  She never dare use it before now.
      She climbed down and returned several moments later with two big jugs
of gasoline.  Dad also kept gunpowder because he was quiet efficient and
made his own bullets that were very much more powerful then your average
bullet.  She climbed up and made three trips two gas cans and one small
drum of gunpowder.  Apparently she also knew about dad's stash and went
downstairs and started dumping out all the guns and bullets and covering
them with the powder.  She started throwing some on the stairs and on the
couch and by their door.
      By the time she got back into her room Tommy found the gas and started
dousing the walls floor and the hallway and he retrieved some matches he
stole from his dad's cigarettes that he left lying about.  Lora said we
might get into big trouble over this but I want you to know that when they
come get us tell the police your sister Lora said Mom and dad raped her.
He replied what does rape mean?  It means something very bad that like
hitting.  You understand Tommy?  Yes but I am scared I want us to be
together always Lora!  We will be I promise Tommy I will never leave you!
What do we do if John Janine Patricia or Luke tries to stop us?  Tommy you
got a gun in fact two if you see anyone trying to stop us you got to shoot
them like we do in play but only it will be real so aim at their face.
      Do I have to hurt people Lora?  I don't want to be like mom and dad!
Lora replied I am afraid we have no choice it's in our blood.  You ever
kill anyone before Lora?  I only killed a few people who made fun at me,
nothing really important.  See mom and dad kill for entertainment.  We are
killing for freedom.  In history class they said people get rewards for
doing that.  Tommy said cool are we going to be famous?  I bet someday
everybody will Know who Tommy and Lora Kincaid are!  Then again we need to
be alive to see it.  I heard someone on kindergarten say killing is against
god ten rules.  Look around Tommy Santa Clause has a better shot of showing
up here then god does.  Besides the only thing I really know about god is
one rule of his a friend of mine told me.  It goes god says and eye for and
eye a tooth for a tooth and a life for a life.  What that means Tommy is we
have to kill mom and dad.  If we don't they will kill us.
      Tommy come here I want you to know something before we go out into
this hall and start this fire.  I want you to know that I love you.  I
promise you when we get older no one will ever hurt us or tell us what to
do.  You will never have to worry about guarding the castle as of this day
Tommy you're the emperor of our castle, Tommy jumped in and you're the
empress.  They both started saying together we rule over this kingdom
protecting what is ours.  And Tommy she said what is ours?  Our love the
greatest power ever bestowed upon any mortal!  Draw up your sword emperor
Tommy its time to slay the dragons.  They clanked the barrels of the guns
together.
      They went out into the hall spreading the more of the gas and powder
when all of a sudden bursting out of the room was Harry.  He exclaimed What
the fuck do I smell gasoline for if you little fuckers are playing around I
am going to kill you.  Lora replied No dad this time you're the victim.
Tears busted from her eyes here you fuck.  Want me to suck something you
mother fucker then you suck on this!  She raised the gun up and fired the
shot hit him in the shoulder knocking him backwards onto the ground.  Mom
merged from the room, Tommy raised his gun and said this is for wanting me
to be your bitch he fired the force of the blast sent him flying back into
the wall.  The shot got mom in the stomach.  Lora said Tommy throw the gas
can into the room, and she followed with the powder.  Harry merged once
again saying it will take more then bullets to stop us.  She fired her
second shot into his knee cap.  She said no dad the only way to slay a
dragon that breaths fire is to slay him with fire.  His body fell into the
room.  His knee was gone mom popped out Tommy did exactly what Lora did
while he was still laying on the ground.  The gun jerked wildly but this
time he kept control of it and was a bit more used to it.  He stood up he
Lora stuck a match and handed it to Tommy and struck one for herself.
      They both in unison dropped them at the same time as the let go of the
matches they both took off down the stairs to the front door knowing the
whole house was dowsed in gasoline.  When both matches hit the ground the
fire erupted like the mouth of hell itself opened up Jamie and Harry were
quickly covered in fire.   The fire raised up the walls on the floor and
down the stairs in hot pursuit of Tommy and Lora. Lora grabbed Tommy into
her arms with the flames right on their heels she dove threw the front bay
window out to the front lawn as the flames overtook the living room and
caused an explosion that blew out all the windows in the house.  Threw the
upper left window you could see two walking balls of flames that were Harry
and Jamie.
      Tommy and Lora got up and ran towards the street.  Janine came running
off the porch of her house screaming what have you two done?  Lora Quickly
raised her gun and fired striking her in the head.  John stood up while on
the porch only to have Tommy fire a shot that struck him in the face like
Lora said to do.  Lights all over the street started coming on.  Patricia
and Luke came running from their house out front and saw what was going on
and just then a huge explosion from the house blew a hole threw the roof.
Then a series of explosions went off in the house leveling it.  Tommy
looked over at Luke who took aim at Lora with a gun.  He fired at him
knocking himself to the ground.  Then Lora looked over and saw Patricia and
fired at her taking the side of her face clean off with one shot.
      They could help but be overjoyed watching the house burn.  And they
fired off the rest of the rounds in their guns in mid air then dropped the
guns.  They hugged and kissed one another knowing the horror was finally
over.  However was it?  Was their nightmare at its end or did the demon
seed of two serial killers leave its mark in their minds.  Tommy and Lora
came up with a great plan while huddled together on the ground.  everyone
around them were way to scared to get close after seeing them blowing away
four people without blinking.
      They decided to act comatose and not remember anything.  Lora told
Tommy no matter what they ask you; just keep asking for mommy and daddy.
The plan worked not only well but it worked very well.  The cops found
evidence of human remains besides Jamie and Harry wasn't long before they
realized that they two were the killers they been looking for.  They
figured what Lora and Tommy must of done but by their comatose act was
convinced that they would never have a conscience memory of their parents
or of the events of that night.
      Tommy himself did forget after being doped up his mind virtually just
started blocking out all memories of that day or any days that lead up to
it.  They were eventually adopted by Susan and Steve distant relatives of
Harry and Jamie.  They agreed to adopt the two children being very poor but
loving people maybe the only two in their whole entire family.
      It all seemed ok for a while for the two.  The memories seemed to fade
away, but it seemed no matter how hard they tried they just were not like
everyone else.  Lora started growing very rapidly.  Everyone teased her
calling her Amazon.  All they boys were scared to death of her even thou
she for the most part tried to fit in.  Well as it goes History repeats
itself eventually.  And alas that's wear our real story begins.
