Negina Jungle Maiden by Uplifted From her home in the top of the tree, she could see for miles into the forest. Languidly she stretched greeting the morning sun, her powerful body flexing, hardly concealing the impressive play of muscles. Her glance encompassed much of the only home that she had ever known. Smiling Negina watched her friends the creatures of the jungle scurrying here and there, gathering fruit, making a first morning kill, or simply playing with the uninhibited joy of wild things. She too was a wild thing. Yet two things seemed to separate her from them. It was these that made her existence here among the forest denizens somehow a melancholy one. The first and perhaps the most important, was her sense of self. Her sure knowledge that somehow she was vastly more intelligent than her friends. She understood this without some false sense of pride. Rather it was merely a fact of life, just as her great strength was a fact of life. Remembering not too many cycles ago when as a cub, she had frolicked joyfully with them, wrestling, running and being knocked about. Gradually as she matured, the fun and games had petered out. She could remember when the beginning of the end had started. Hardly four cycles ago, she had been playing with the big Yeow, with his tawny skin and mien of hair around his neck. Playfully he had pawed her with his sharp claws. Just as playfully she had grabbed the large beast around his middle and squeezed. She wasn't unaware of any undue pressure on her part, yet the creature let out a roar of agony, and collapsed unmoving to the ground. Thanks be to the Great Maker, that the beast had started to move in the time that it had taken the shadow of the tree to lengthen from two hand breadths, to three body lengths. When she had offered the Yeow her hand in friendship, he had backed away and slunk off into the forest. A similar occurrence had happened with her friend, the hairy awgh. She had always felt kinship with the awgh. When she was with any of them she felt less alone. After all they had legs and arms as did she, even if they had to knuckle walk when trying to travel upright. At first this had been enough for her. Little by little the differences between them became more acute. She was practically hairless, while they were covered with the stuff. Their faces jutted out while hers was almost flat. With her opposable thumb she could grip things in a way that none of her friends could duplicate. This and her intellect marked her as a thing apart, even from the awgh. Three cycles ago she had practically crippled the largest awgh in the troop, while just playing. She was becoming a thing feared and venerated among the creatures of the jungle. The clincher came just last cycle with the giant hurumph, with his strange elongated nose for breaking and stripping vegetation off of trees. He was so very large, at least twenty or thirty times her weight. How in the Great Makers world she thought, could she injure it? Fun and games where the furthest thing from her mind that hot and torrid day, but the hurumph kept pushing her to her knees, leaning his enormous bulk on her. Playfully she had pushed it off of her sending the giant beast flying five feet into the air. In a fit of anger he charged her and in self defense she had snatched the surprised creature off of his feet and held him trumpeting helplessly above her head. It almost sounded like a cry of terror. Screaming in a rage that she later regretted, she had hurled the poor animal thirty feet into the water hole. After that incident the creatures made obeisance to her, walking softly in her presence, and bringing her all the food that she could eat. It made life easier, if somewhat lonelier. It was a hot and sultry day, as she reclined comfortably in her tree house, high above the forest grassland. It was no hotter then any average summer day in the jungle, when the best thing to do at midday was to sleep. In a pleasant stupor, she felt the dream state coming upon her, when she was snapped to a sudden awareness, by a strange loud sound. Never had she heard anything quite like it. The only way that she would have been able to describe it with her limited jungle experience, was some giant unknown animal, quickly growling and stopping and repeating it over and over, again and again. Rising to the floor of her tree house she peered skyward, where the sound seemed to be coming from. As the sound drew louder, she shaded her eyes from the powerful shining orb that the great maker had placed in the firmament, and looked towards the left. A puzzled look came over her face, when she saw the strangest sight that she had ever encountered. If it were one of the little flying creatures that the great maker her placed in the sky she thought, It was the most amazing one that she had ever seen. In the first place the limbs that caused it's flight, seemed to her astounded eyes, to be in the top of it's head. And as if that weren't strange enough, as it approached, it's size was monumental. Never had she seen such a large flying creature. And finally, she watched stupefied, when it seemed to be issuing smoke from it rear end. In open mouthed amazement she watched the strange thing whir by her and off into the jungle. It wasn't long before she heard a loud crash, somewhere in the forest beyond her sight. She would find this strange creature, perhaps it needed her help, she told herself. Grabbing the heavy vines that hung from many of the trees, she swung herself off in the direction of the fallen creature. There was no man to witness the miracle of her extraordinarily fit body, as she swung through the forest. She was like a jungle cat, sleek and hard with unseen power, yet beautiful beyond belief. It wasn't hard to find the strange thing. All she had to do was to follow the smoke, as it rose above the forest floor. With breathtaking quickness, she arrived at the downed creature, three cycles walking time from her home. Circling the extraordinary thing, she scratched her head in bewilderment. What kind of a flying thing is this, she thought. It was to big for her to call it a chirp, chirp. It even dwarfed the large gwack, gwack, and those crazy limbs atop of it head, were too strange for words. Carefully, she circled the thing. It had to be at least twenty five strides in length, and fifteen in width. Gingerly she poked her finger out to touch it's gray surface. Quickly she drew back in surprise at the strange feel of it. Never had she experienced anything like it. It was smooth and strangely hard. Certainly it was harder then any animal that she had ever encountered before. If truth be told, it was even harder then the trees that surrounded her world. Gingerly she knocked upon it surface. Her face screwed up in surprise at the clanging hollow sound. It reminded her of a barren tree, the kind that has died, and serves as a home for jungle creatures. Perhaps she thought, it wasn't some kind of a living creature at all. Maybe it was home for some kind of a living thing, though for the life of her she could not figure out how. Carefully as she circled the strange thing, her eyes came across what could be an opening in it's surface. It was indeed very strange and unnaturally straight, and was sticking out half of a hand breadth from it's exterior. Inserting her hand carefully into it, she pulled it away from it's surface. She was surprised at the squeaking sound it made, like one of the little things that scurried through the forest. Carefully she stepped inside. She wasn't surprised at the dark interior, hollowed out trees could be just as dark. As her eyes accustomed itself to the lack of light, she was amazed at the strange surroundings. Nothing seemed familiar. There was no grass, trees, or even a rock. Everything seemed so unnatural. Her eyes saw only strange straight and sharp angles. There were at first sight what appeared to be vines but weren't vines hanging about. They were straight and flat like everything else in this peculiar place. Walking through the unfamiliar objects, her eyes rested upon another opening towards the front of the structure. Pulling it opened, she stepped inside and was taken completely aback, when she saw a creature sitting with it's back to her. Looking into the face of the creature, her heart skipped a beat when she realized that the it could somehow be akin to her. She felt unaccountably excited. Feeling terribly constricted in the unusual structure, she felt a need to get the creature out into the open as soon as possible. It was held in place by those vine like things that she found so inexplicable. Reaching under and to the sides of the creature, she grasped the seat, and with a sudden yank , ripped it, creature and all from it's moorings. Quickly she carried it, and its seat from the object. Laying the creature on the grass, she ripped the fastenings from it's body that bound it to it's seat, . Although it was breathing evenly, it's eyes remained closed. Now in the light of day, she examined the strange creature with deliberate thoroughness. Hair on it's face she thought, but not nearly as much as the Awgh. Like her, it's face was flat, unlike her friends the Awghs, whose features stuck out forward in the manner of most jungle creatures. Like her, there were no brow ridges above it's eyes. This was getting most interesting she thought. Glancing down to observe the rest of the creature, she was puzzled by it's covering. Never had she seen a creature that covered itself in this way. Curiouser and curiouser she thought. Carefully, so as not to damage the creature, she pulled apart it's top covering. As it ripped completely apart she gasped in astonishment. Yes, it was very much like her, but where were the mounds on it's front? Removing it's top covering from it's body, she grabbed hold of a piece of material that was harder then the rest of it's covering. It encircled the body of the creature at it's center, and kept it's bottom fastening's up and on it's frame. With a quick snap, she pulled it effortlessly apart, and started to remove the strange coverings from it's lower segment. First came the mound of hair that was expected, being similar to hers. Rolling it's coverings yet further down, she exclaimed in astonishment, "ugah mugah who ha hi." Now the reader of this little tale can consider him or herself fortunate indeed, since It so happens that this author is perfectly fluent in Jungle Maideness. Ugah mugah who ha hi literally translated means, what the fuck is this? What was that strange growth between it's legs?, she wondered. Hm, perhaps the maker in his regret for leaving out it's mounds, had thought to make up for this oversight, by placing these thing's between it's two lower segments. She shook her head reverently. There is no questioning the great maker she thought. Completing her task of denuding the creature, she stepped back to examine it's entirety for the first time. At one and the same time, it was like her, and unlike her. Where she had a kind of overall roundness to her body, the creature seemed squared. It's face was pleasant even if slightly hairy. Yes indeed it had mounds, but so little and pathetic were they, that she felt a great pity welling up in her mounds for the creature. And of those strange growths between its lower limbs, she had not the foggiest idea of what could be it's application. Still she found the overall effect extremely pleasant, and a feeling of warmth permeated her entire being. Tenderly she placed her hands around the middle of the creature and lifted it, so that its head was above hers. Wondering how tall it was, she lowered it so that it's utmost lower extremities were just barely touching the forest lawn. The fact that it was a hand breadth higher then her, somehow filled her with delight. Oh perhaps it would make a marvelous pet she wondered. Playfully with childlike joy, she lifted it up and lowered it down, again and again. Laughing with delight she noted that the growth's between it's legs, jiggled in cadence with the movement of it's body. Quickly she moved it's frame from side to side, and was delighted as the growths followed it's course. She increased the speed of her movement and noted joyfully how the growths slapped it's skin, first above and then below. And then she heard it. First a sigh, and then a moan. Quickly she placed the creature on the grass, and stepped back. Peter Millborn, explorer, mountain climber, and decathlete extraordinair, had a monumental headache. "Oh shit" he complained touching his hand to his forehead, and squinting his already closed eyes. Breathing deeply of the hot moist jungle air, a frightening scene flashed through his mind. "The helicopter" he exclaimed out loud. "What the hell happened to the helicopter?" It was almost too painful to think about. The engine conking out, the overhead propeller stopping, the crashing to the jungle floor, the descent only broken by glancing off of a tree, and then nothing. "Oh shit" he repeated pushing himself up on to his elbow. Sitting bolt upright he rested his hands on his throbbing head. Hesitantly, he opened his eyes, and glanced down at his legs. "What the fuck!" he exclaimed. His eyes moved upward towards his thighs. Dazed, he felt his chest. "Where the hell are my clothes?" he asked himself. Slowly and painfully he leaned back, placing the palms of his hands behind him. Stretching his bruised body, slowly he opened his eyes. He snapped them shut almost immediately. Carefully, he opened his right eye. She was still there. Had he died and gone to heaven, or was she a dream? Please God he thought, if it's just a dream let me remain asleep forever . She just stood there, a creature of unearthly beauty, and as naked as a jay bird. What the hell was he thinking about?, he was naked also. Could she have removed his clothes? he thought. She stood staring at his unclothed body, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Wild golden blond hair that appeared to have never seen a comb or brush, swirled untamed around her lovely face. Eyes ablaze with green fire glowed at him, reminding him of a hungry jungle cat. A lovely turned up nose set over blood red lips, turned his heart to mush. With his heart in his throat, he tore his eyes from her face, and allowed them to wonder down her luscious frame. "Jesus" he exclaimed out loud, "what a pair of bassoms". It wasn't that they were so large, just perfectly formed. "Isaac Newton and your shitty law of gravity, eat your heart out", he muttered worshipfully. Greedily his hungry eyes wondered down her delectable body, past her rounded feminine hips, to legs that made a man long to rub his grubby paws all over them. Yet with all of these feminine attributes, a strange thought kept invading his mind. Power, incredible power, was the weird impression that he came away with. "Ridiculous, your fantasies are running riot Peter Millborn", he told himself. Carefully, so as not to frighten her, he stood erect. Slowly he walked towards her. She simply watched curiously, not moving a muscle. Pointing to himself he said, "my name is Peter". He pointed at her and asked, "what's your name?" Negina stared at the creature intently. She had been listening to it's jabberings since it had awaken. She assumed it was making it's own very special sound, as did the other creatures of the jungle. Accordingly she just stood and waited. Peter thought, I hope she's not a mute, or worse yet an idiot. He tried again. "My name is Peter, what's yours?" he repeated adding the appropriate hand motions. She stared long at the creature. It doesn't appear to be too bright, and seems greatly excited she thought. Perhaps if I mimic it's strange antics, it will quite it down. Pointing her finger at herself she imitated it's sounds. "My name is Peter, what's yours"? He laughed out loud, in pure delight. Well at least she isn't deaf he mused, and quite a good little mimic at that. Vigorously shaking his head in the negative, he pointed to himself and repeated his name, and quickly pointed at her. She stared at him long and hard, as a pathway opened up in her quick mind. Slowly she pointed her finger at him and said torturously, "Peh tah". "Yes, oh yes" he exclaimed ecstatically. "Peter, and you?" he asked, pointing at her once again. Pointing at him she repeated "Peter, and then poking herself in one of her delightful breasts, practically screamed "Negina!" her face beaming with childlike joy. "Peter, Negina, Peter, Negina" she repeated over and over again, delighted with this display of pure intellectual brilliance. If she hadn't been afraid of alarming him, she would have swept him up into her arms, and hugged him to her mounds. "My clothes?" he asked, as much to himself as to her. "Where are my clothes. And the helicopter. What the hell happened to it?" His question was answered when his eyes scanned the area. The question was of course rhetorical, since Negina could hardly be expected to know what he was talking about. Motioning for him to stand still, she ran off in the direction of a large tree. He watched awestruck, when he saw her shinny up the tree, pulling herself up first by her hands, followed by her legs. "Gees" he exclaimed, whistling softly between pursed lips. "A regular little monkey." Puzzled, he watched her search around for something. Smiling, she waved two vines at him. Before he realized what she had in mind, she was standing five feet from him, having swung down with both vines in hand. He shook his head no, knowing perfectly well what she had in mind. She seemed to understand his reluctance, and placing her superb rear end against his budding erection, grabbed his arms, and placed them around her neck. "Now just a minute lovely lady" he said. "It's certain that you are in marvelous, no beautiful shape. "But there's just no way that you can swing from tree to tree, lugging my weight on your back. What the fuck" he suddenly exclaimed, when she snatched his legs off of the ground, and wrapped them around her waist. "Hold it. Shit, hold it" he bellowed when she took off in a running start. "Oh sheeeeet" he whimpered when they were airborne, gulping down his saliva. Thankfully they landed safety on the tree, but before Peter could dismount, she had clutched another vine, and had taken off towards her next destination. He was horrified when instead of landing this time, she simply grabbed another vine in mid air, and continued their flight uninterrupted. As she swung from tree to tree in this fashion, her speed grew ever faster. Peter Millborn, explorer, mountain climber, and decathlete extraordinair, was scared shitless, shutting his eyes as tightly as he could. When he tightened his grip on both her neck and her waist, it never occurred to him that he could hurt her. Foremost in his mind was self preservation. Of course both the reader and the author, are well aware that no mere man could hurt Negina. In spite of his athletic achievements, this form of transportation was new to him, and he prayed with all of his heart for it to end. What seemed like hours, but was merely minutes, ended when they landed as soft as silk on the jungle lawn. He dismounted shaking like a leaf, and proceeded to fall on his ass. Negina helped him up holding his trembling body, obviously amused. When he had calmed down a bit, she walked him over to a large tree, holding his hand in hers. "Peter!" she shouted, pointing straight up. His eyes traveled up the thick bodied tree, noticing on the way up, that all of the branches seemed to have been pulled out of its sockets, making climbing a difficult task. He assumed to make it difficult for animals to climb to her tree house. Towards it's top, his eyes rested on a platform. Although he couldn't see past the platform, he assumed that it was the floor of a tree house. What else could a platform at the top of a tree be for? Pointing towards the top, she started to climb as he had seen her do before. When she had scaled the tree about twenty feet, she stopped and look down shaking her head, obviously urging him to join her. What the hell he thought, it can't be that hard if she did it. Imitating her mode of locomotion, he tried to shinny up the tree. He actually climbed five feet, before falling and skinning his feet and hands. He saw her staring, plainly entertained. Angrily, he tried again. This time he only climbed three feet, before falling on his bruised ego. Before he could try again she was returning, evidently to join him. He shook his head in the negative, red faced with shame, when she urged him to try again. The poor thing is too weak to climb, she thought sympathetically. Looking him up and down an idea came to her. Maybe those things hanging between it's legs could be used as a handle. Brightening considerably, she quickly clutched the growths and started up the tree, using both feet, but only one hand, the other being occupied with Peter's growths. Peter Millborn, explorer, mountain climber and decathlete extraordinair, was none to happy. He suggested in none to polite a manner, that she was the offspring of a female dog. He also mentioned the fact none to gently, that his genitals were not to be used as a handle. Struggling in her grasp, caused his body to swing back and forth, producing even more pain to his groin. Negina stopped and looked down at the struggling screaming man. Of course she didn't recognize a man's yell of agony, but he seemed none to happy with the situation. Perhaps she thought, she had misjudged, and the growth's between Peter's legs were not to be used for transportation. Quickly making a decision, she lifted poor Peter from his former position, up her body and plopped him down on her right shoulder. Gratefully, sobbing with relief he clutched her neck, and hung on for dear life. She continued her climb, but kept her body as far from the trunk of the tree as possible. She didn't want to scratch her precious cargo. Finally arriving at the platform, she climbed up and over, and stood up with Peter perched securely upon her right shoulder. Walking around the surprisingly large tree house, she proudly showed him around. Totally humiliated, Peter called out, "what the hell am I a pet monkey? Put me down you crazy broad." Jesus he thought, she's as strong as a horse, and he proceeded to buck up and down, trying to get her attention. Negina laughed at his terribly cute antics. What a sweet thing Peter is she thought. She placed the palm of her hand under his rear, and chuckling happily, mimicked his last few words. "Pet monkey, pet monkey" she repeated over and over again, while playfully jiggling him up and down. "Holy shit" he screamed, " I'm going to fall, stop," he pleaded, a word for which Peter Millborn had no experience whatsoever. In spite of his lack of experience in the usage of this oh so important word, he proved to be an excellent neophyte in it's usage. She didn't understand his words, but panic was plainly visible in the sound of them. Gently and lovingly, she lowered him to the floor of the tree house. As he slowly got his bearings, she moved closer to him, holding her hands out in front of her. "Jesus" he said, backing away. "What the hell are you" and he went on, maintaining his retreat. Now as we all know, Negina was not some jungle animal, but a highly evolved human being. It was plain to see that she had frightened Peter. She stopped and lowering her hands said, "Peter, Peter" over and over again. She repeated his name in as soft and gentle a manner as she could, wanting very much to reassure him of her good intentions. He watched her warily as she sat upon a log, and partook of a piece of fruit that she had hanging up above. She broke off another one from the overhang, and placed in on the log next to her. Peter understood this placating gesture, as one of a highly sophisticated human being, so he sat down next to her and took the offering of the fruit. Peeling it and taking a bite, she said," baroom boom." "Baroom boom heh" he said. "I could have sworn that it was a banana." "Banana, banana" she repeated, shaking her beautiful head, her deep green eyes shining. He experienced the urge to just fall into those beautiful orbs. "My God, your so lovely. How the hell did such a beautiful creature as you develop such strength?" She merely shook her head and repeated, "such strength." "Yes you exquisite creature, such strength. Jesus, I would just love to boff you, but you scare the shit out of me." "Boff you" she mimicked. Smiling, he ate his banana quietly planning his next move. She was repeating English phrases, but she hardly knew what she was saying. He would need to communicate with her on a much higher level, if he were to get home. "Negina home" he said, pointing all around her tree house. "Home" she repeated striking the floor with her pretty leg. "Yes" he shouted, shaking his head happily. "Your absolutely brilliant" he continued overjoyed with their initial success. "Absolutely brilliant" repeated his adorable little mimic. Pointing out some of the more recognizable fruit hanging from her tree house, he named them one by one. When she had repeated his words flawlessly, he bit into one and said, " apple. Peter eats apple," and handed it to her. Tentatively, she took a bite and said, "Peter eats apple." He shook his head vigorously. "No, no, Negina, but his statement remained unfinished when she jumped off of her seat in excitement, and finished the statement for him. "Negina eats apple", and so delighted was she with her success, that she snatched him up and threw him ten feet into the air. "Holy" he screamed on his way up. "Shit" on the way down. Negina caught the frightened man tenderly, and pressed him to her luscious orbs. She felt very strange indeed. It was more, much more then her success at his language. He felt it too, but as an experienced man of the world, knew it for what it was. Reaching up, he kissed her gently on her ruby red lips. Astonished, she stared at him, breathing heavily. Impulsively, like a jungle cat she pressed her lips to his, crushing him in her embrace. It felt as if he were in a closing vise, and not able to scream, his mouth being occupied with hers, beat on her shoulder's and head. That stopped her, but there was a pained expression on her face. She understood that she had hurt him, and felt terrible about it. "Peter" she said. Peter" she repeated, not having the appropriate words to give expression to her regret. "I know my darling" he said soothingly. "You have no idea of your own strength. It's OK." Of course she understood not a word, but his tone hit home and her smile was dazzling. He resumed the lesson. "Negina home. Peter in home of Negina" he said, shaking his head encouragingly. To his delight and amazement, she repeated the statement, seeming to understand completely. "Your really something, aren't you?" he said, and impulsively kissed her again. She returned his kiss, but was careful not to touch him. "So you beautiful thing" he said. You're beginning to understand the difference between us." "Jesus" he muttered under his breath, "I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be so afraid of a broad." The lesson continued until dark. By that time to his delight, she had learned many words, and was actually able to utter a number of sentences. He didn't argue when she scooped him up in her powerful but lovely arms, and deposited him on a pallet of straw. "Bed time heh?" he asked. "Bed" she said. The lessons continued every day for the next two weeks. Negina had an amazing aptitude for language. At the end of the second week, she could converse haltingly with him. Abstract concepts however, where much more difficult, and would have to wait until latter. As the days passed, her ability to converse was a source of delight to him. His ability to swing from a vine however, a skill that she insisted in teaching him, lagged severely behind her language skills. "Negina, Do you remember how I came here?" he asked her at the end of three weeks. " "Yes Peter" she said. "I find you sitting in big house. Big house that fly", she added puzzled. "That house is called a helicopter" he said. It is neither a house nor a bird, but it flies nonetheless. You see my darling girl, I come from a place where such things are as normal as you flying from tree to tree. "I want see your place. You take Negina?" "If I can fix the helicopter, yes I will take you. Will you take me there, so that I can see how much damage was done when I crashed?" Turning her lovely back to him she said, "Peter climb on, Negina take." He did as she ordered, knowing that his meager ability with the vines, would get him nowhere. By this time he had been traveling in this fashion many times. He clung to her without a shred of fear, confident in her strength and ability. Quickly with almost breathless speed, they arrived at the site. He circled the ship knocking on it hull. " The outer hull seems in good shape" he said to her. "Come Negina, lets go inside." Entering, he noted that everything seemed ship shape. "Let's see what's doing in the cockpit" he muttered under his breath. Opening the door to the cock pit and entering, he yelled out in consternation, "what the hell happened to the seat. "Negina spoke for the first time since entering the helicopter. "I take Peter out of helicopter strapped to seat. I no understand that straps no part of you body at the time, so I just rip from body of ship." "Holy shit" he muttered, "is there no end to what you're capable of? Ok, so lets see if I can repair it. Do you know where the seat is Negina?" "Negina left it outside of ship" she informed him. Deplaning, they searched among the bushes. After an exhaustive search, they found it hidden deeply among new growth. "Jesus, you really did a job on it didn't you my little super women?, he said laughing quietly under his breath. "I sorry Peter. I hurt helicopter?" she asked crestfallen. "My God" he said, hugging her tightly to his breast. " How can one little girl be so adorable and at the same time so frightening? No Negina" he continued. It's not hurt, it's just a thing. I can repair it in a jiffy. Hm, I should have some soldering materials in the ship" he said, entering the helicopter again. Rummaging around in the back, he found what he was looking for. "Eureka" he exclaimed. "Now for the electrical system and the propeller, and where in business." "Peter, what is eureka?" she asked puzzled. "Oh it just means that I'm happy" he said. "Peter happy, Negina happy" she said, grabbing him around the waist, and throwing him ten feet into the air, screaming eureka, eureka. "Cut it out Negina, can't you see that I'm trying to work. Jesus H Christ" he muttered, "I've created a frankenfutter. Please sweety, just sit down and watch me work, ok?" She watched quietly, happy to observe him at work. The materials that he was using was a revelation to her. He tried answering all of her questions, but after a time her incessant inquiries became tedious. "Negina" he said patiently. "When I get finished with my repairs, I'll be happy to explain everything that I can to you, but right now, it's just slowing me down." He returned to his work with a determination that informed her of his seriousness. Sighing like a repulsed child, she sat under a tree and tried to be patient. It didn't take long however for her to get restless. She was simply too active an individual to remain still for very long. Deep in thought, she wandered away from the site of the helicopter. Quietly, she picked some fruit and dug up some tubers for dinner. As she strayed from the site, she passed a troop of Augh's, or as Peter called them, gorillas. She placed the food that she had gathered on the ground, to watch these happy forest dwellers. Negina beamed blissfully watching them at play, except that there was one thing that puzzled her. Their play seemed to be exceedingly rough and animated, more so then she had witnessed in the past. Cautiously, she watched as one very large gorilla, rotated the center of his body up against a smaller one. Both of them seemed to be enjoying it, and she was amazed when the larger Augh, separated from the smaller one. Her amazement was compounded when she noticed for the first time, that the larger Gorilla had things between it's legs, much like Peter, and she had the disconnect impression, that these things had just exited the body of the smaller. For the first time, she realized that she had witnessed such things before, and not only from the gorilla's. She must discuss this thing with Peter. Quickly she returned to the site of the helicopter, to find him resting, his back against the hull of the ship. He chuckled when she explained what she had seen. "Negina, they are just enjoying themselves" he said simply. "Their playing just as you and I sometimes do." She seemed skeptical. "Peter, when we play, you no put you thing in me." He became suddenly thoughtful. She was naive, about sex, and he wanted his explanation to be explicit without being shocking. "It's the natural way with animals of all kinds. Besides enjoying themselves, It's the way all animals make more animals just like themselves." "How this happen" she asked puzzled. The whole process brought and amazed expression to her beautiful face. "Peter and Negina do this?" she asked. Peter broke off further discussion on the subject saying that he had to get back to work, as indeed he did.
