Glove Man by Jack Straw Reviewed by Warrior Poet http://www.TheValkyrie.com/stories/straw/glove1.txt I believe this is the first time I have read Jack's writing and I must say I was very impressed. I have much admired the skills of David Sullivan for the last year, and Jack seems to have similar gifts. The real talent Jack shows in abundance is his eye for detail. He has chopped-out what is inconsequential but has left the most minor details that still influence the reader's perceptions. My favorite part of any story on this site is the psychology. Jack plays the mental subjugation of the men in his story in such detail that I can feel what they do. Thus the appeal of the escapism concept! The story was tight, crisp, and devoid of any glaring weaknesses. I would suggest trimming some of the paragraphs a little and trying to show the woman's mindset a little better, but otherwise fantastic!
