STARRING: Gina Gershon Juliette Lewis Mickey Rourke and Peter Stebbings/

ACCESS: in 2003 it was released to video.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: a fragile French-Canadian woman (Juliette Lewis, in the
title role) goes to Toronto in search of her photographer lover. she winds up
in the wrong place at the wrong time, and becomes wanted by the police for a
murder she didn't even know had happened. she keeps running into a thief (Gina
Gershon) who is the real killer.

SCISSORS SCENE: the setting is a small Toronto donut shop/diner. the only
person visible is sleazy Mickey Rourke sitting in a booth. (the lady owner is
in the back room and Juliette Lewis is in the bathroom trying to wash a coffee
stain out of her jacket. the stain was the result of a recent altercation she
had with Rourke.) we see the door of the shop open and a gloved hand grab the
string attached to the bell above the door, keeping it from ringing. Gina
Gershon (Mickey's partner in crime) enters and sits across from him in the
booth. they are both suspicious and many questions are asked. finally Mickey
says he will take her to an airport locker where he stashed her money. she
rises to leave but tells him how hot she is for him. he tells her, "show me."
she slides between him and the table and sits on his lap facing him with her
legs straddling him. she lavishes him with kisses. he is totally into it and
is barely aware that she has expertly clenched each of his arms between her
thigh and calf, rendering him immobile. she gyrates wildly on his lap as she
slips a cord around his neck and pulls the ends tight with all of her
strength. the shock on his face is evident. his pleasure from the dry hump has
been replaced with pain and fear as he can't breathe. his arms strain
desperately to get free but he realizes he has been had. her supple legs have
him all wrapped up like a boa constrictor. she looks in his dying eyes as she
pulls the cord tighter and tighter, and he dies quickly, his body slumping
against her. hearing the lady in the kitchen make a sound, she feverishly
begins kissing her lifeless victim, pretending he's still alive. she then goes
through his clothes and finds a gun. she snarls at him, "they haven't had
lockers at the airport for ten years, you double crossing bastard." she then
dismounts him and leaves as his body slides down under the table.

POSITIVES: awesome setup. the male was suspicious but overconfident and did
not see her as a physical threat. when she figured out he was lying she
executed him following a cold blooded plan to use sex to lower his defenses.
the camera work, lighting, and acting were all very good and Gina wore light
colored slacks which made it easier to see what was going on.

NEGATIVES: none to speak of. well done.
