GENERAL DESCRIPTION: once a Hong Kong lawyer (Biao) becomes a vigilante, he
finds himself at odds with a detective (Cynthia Rothrock) determined to bring
him to justice. when it turns out that the main criminal they are both after
is her boss, the police superintendent, they must join forces to combat him.
this movie is considered by many to be easily Cynthia Rothrock's best, mainly
due to some fine fight choreography by her co-star Yuen Biao. Karen Shepard
(her very first film) appears late in the movie for a long scene which
includes a terrific fight with CR.

SCISSORS SCENE: in a mah-jongg parlor Cynthia (wearing a yellow top and a long
blue dress slit a long way up the side) approaches a game table and addresses
one of the players whom she calls, "Bonzo". when he replies rudely that he
doesn't need sex from her she slowly turns over his tiles revealing his hand
to the other players. she then shows her badge to the others who hastily
retreat. as he reaches for a knife in his sock she smashes the leg of the
table down on his toe and jumps on top of it. when three of his friends try to
help him she becomes a whirling dervish, landing one kick after another,
sending them flying from one wall to another, displaying quite a bit of leg in
the process. she uses both the wall and the tables as props as she springs off
of both at her opponents. one man attacks her as she crouches on a table so
she lashes out with both feet catching him in the chest and driving him into a
nearby wall. she lands on her back and spreads her legs invitingly as he
bounces off the wall and gets caught between her creamy white calves which
clamp tightly on his neck. wasting no time she lifts and flips him forward
causing him to land on the table which she quickly vacates. she then raises
one leg high in the air and brings it down hard on his body. she then calmly
brushes aside her dress and removes her handcuffs from a garter like holster
on her thigh. as the titanic battle continues she proceeds to tie up the four
men using only the one set of handcuffs and a chair. at the end of the scene
they are all standing up, but unable to move. one whines, "i pity the poor guy
that marries you." with almost no effort she kicks one of them in the back of
the leg, causing them all to collapse to the floor like a house of cards.
POSITIVES:the camerawork, lighting, fight choreography, and acting are all top
notch. this is one of the finest mixed fights i have ever seen. CR's attitude
is great.

NEGATIVES: the only negative point here is that the scissors is so short and
is such a tiny part of the overall scene.
