The Watcher In The Attic 1976

ACCESS: video only and very hard to find.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: in this darkly filmed erotic thriller a perverse landlord
peeks through a hole in his floor, spying on his tenant. she is a psychotic
prostitute who knows he is watching, and has no qualms about murdering her
clients during sex while the voyeur watches on.

SCISSORS SCENES: both the prostitute and her john are dressed as clowns. she
is on her bed and brings her legs up as he approaches. he is eager and sticks
his head between her legs. she tightens her calves on his neck hard, choking
him. he seems to be quite helpless but after a few seconds she giggles and
releases him. now she knows she can finish him at her leisure. she moves
quckly off of the bed and to a large rocking chair, again with her legs opened
invitingly. he wastes no time kneeling before her and giving her oral
pleasure. at first she accepts his oral worship as she defiantly looks up
toward the peephole above her. she presses his face against her harder as she
circles his neck with her legs. she locks her right foot under her left knee,
applying a figure four front headscissors which not only crushes his neck but
smothers his face into her. he struggles desperately for a few seconds but his
effort quickly become feeble as lack of oxygen renders him unconscious. she
straightens her legs out, locks her ankles together and gives her victim one
last powerful squeeze for good measure. she gently rocks back and forth as she
takes his captive head in her hands and tilts it this way and that, making
absolute certain that he is dead. satisfied, she lets the lifeless male corpse
drop to the floor at her feet. 2) this one is an f/f kill, as a woman realizes
that the prostitute and her male friend are deranged. she struggles with the
male briefly, and he manuevers her neck into the deadly embrace of the female
strangler's legs. she is quickly rendered helpless, gasping desperately for a
few seconds as the male tries to assist by pulling the locked ankles even
tighter. this effort was unnecessary, however, as the woman quickly succumbs
in the grip of the coldblooded killer.

POSITIVES: terrific setup, unusual camera work, apparently simulating the
angle that the "watcher" would have from above.

NEGATIVES: there's no other way to say it. the lighting is terrible. you can
just about make out what's going on. it turns two scenes from truly
outstanding into mediocrity. in many circles the amount of shadows thrown on
the actors makes a movie "artsy". personally, i would really like to see what
is happening on screen.
