GENERAL DESCRIPTION: this is a remake of the classic 60's tv series where
Hillbilly Jed Clampett (played very well by Jim Varney) takes a shot at a
rabbit and strikes oil. he moves the whole family to Beverly Hills where their
simple culture clashes with that of the fabulously wealthy.

SCISSORS SCENE: golddigger Lea Thompson and corporate worm Rob Schneider have
kid- napped Granny (Cloris Leachman) because she was going to spoil their plot
to steal Jed's millions. they dump her into the back seat of their car and
drive off. as he is driving Rob keeps ogling Lea's legs. just as he says that
he can't wait to have her legs wrapped around him Granny clamps a leg scissors
on him from the back seat. (ala Romeo Is Bleeding) her booted feet lock in
front of his face and he is squeezed between her calves. he yells, "get her
legs off of me. she's got crap on her boots!" you hear the usual "crushing"
sound effect but the scene just abruptly ends at this point.

POSITIVES: not a bad set-up/overall the movie is pretty funny, and has a ton
of wrestling and fighting action. besides this scene Elly rassles a bear. she
beats up a guy from the oil company and carries him around on her shoulders.
she totally outwrestles a bully who is captain of the high school wrestling
team. Miss Jane (Lily Tomlin) wearing a tight nurse's outfit with white
stockings kicks Rob Schneider into dreamland. Elly puts an airplane spin on
Lea Thompson before smashing her down thru a table which had a huge wedding
cake on it.

NEGATIVES: do i have to say it? you've got a gorgeous young hillbilly girl
"rassling" with every guy in sight and the only scissors is done by a
septuagenarian wearing combat boots! ARGH! to say there were a lot of "missed
opportunities" here would be an understatement.
