STARRING: Christopher Lambert Pam Grier Yoji Okumoto Thea Silkboer Liz May

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Christopher Lambert plays a resistance fighter who gets
caught by government forces and sent to a co-ed space station prison where all
prisoners have a device implanted which attaches to their optic nerve. they
become living cameras enabling prison officials to see what they see or to
cause pain with one push of a button.

SCISSORS SCENE: Sally Ho (played by FBB Thea Silkboer) is eating in the
crowded prison cafeteria when the male prisoner seated across from her begins
to complain about the food. she reaches over and scoops a spoonful of food off
of his plate and eats it. he yells, "that's my food, bitch!" and shoves her.
she grabs the back of his head and smashes his face down into the table. she
then pushes him backwards onto the next table and punches him in the groin.
she then throws him back onto the first table where he slides face first down
the length of the table and off the other side. they then cut away to the
warden who is watching on CCTV. when they cut back the cafeteria has become
the scene of a full scale riot, including one prisoner who keeps chanting
"Attica, Attica". among the many individual battles we suddenly see the two
original combatants. Sally takes him down with a reverse headscissors. the
camera angle changes and now she is behind him squeezing his head between her
knees. they cut away to show the CCTV camera that's watching them. when they
cut back a few seconds later he is now caught in a reverse headscissors again!
at this point the warden activates the "pain" feature in their implants and
most of the prisoners stop fighting. when Sally keeps on squeezing her
opponent, a guard tries to stop her. she does release him, but then starts to
beat up the guard. she takes his night stick and starts to strangle him with
it. at the last second Christopher Lambert kicks her in the face, and saves
the guard's life. later they execute her by putting her in an airlock and
opening the outer door, allowing her to be sucked out into space.

POSITIVES: casting! it's very encouraging to see them use an FBB in a role
that clearly called for one. good set-up. very energetic.

NEGATIVES: clothing. a few scenes earlier we see Sally looking tremendous in
her underwear but what does she wear for the scissors scene? you guessed it.
baggy overalls from neck to toe. the camera work had way too many cut aways
and the editing was careless to say the least. when she takes him down it's a
reverse HS with his head caught behind her knee. they cut away for a second
and now his head's caught in front of her knee. they cut away again and a
second later it's a reverse HS again. my head was starting to spin at this
point. my guess is that they filmed it several times and edited the best parts
together, not noticing the discrepancy.
