movie mixed scissors scenes by dmg e-mail:donfreeman@webtv.net Eastern Condors STARRING: Sammo Hung Angela Mao Joyce Godenzi Haing S. Ngor Philip Ko Corey Yuen Directed by Sammo Hung ACCESS: video only at the moment GENERAL DESCRIPTION: i've seen this movie described as Dirty Dozen meets Deer Hunter. it's very violent, about a group of prisoners freed from American jails in order to go back to Vietnam on a secret mission. along the way they are aided by a very deadly efficient group of female commandos. SCISSORS SCENE: three female commandos dressed in black attack a squad of about ten soldiers relaxing in their campsite. one of the girls gets up on a rock and begins to suggestively gyrate about, diverting the attention of the soldiers from the other two who attack from behind. one of them throws a knife into the back of the soldier who appeared to be the leader. as chaos breaks out the girl on the rock nimbly somersaults to the ground and pulls the knife from the dead man's back and kills another one with it. there is fighting and carnage going on throughout the campsite as the three brutal women overwhelm the surprised defenders. at one point one of the women slides underneath a man who winds up standing bowlegged above her. as he looks down her head is on the ground between his feet. she acrobatically raises her lower body and traps him in a reverse bodyscissors, pulling him down to the ground. he lands flat on his back and cntinues to roll until his shoulder and neck are on the ground and his butt is straight up in the air. his legs are folded down on either side of his head. she is now sitting on the ground with her legs holding the upside down man in place. (the move is very similiar to what is called a sunset flip in wrestling) suddenly one of the other girls appears and stabs down into the man's rear end. (so many people say that they are going to tear you a new one, but so few actually do something about it.) the girls then finish moppng up, so to speak, the remaining males. POSITIVES: the setup is so-so, and the rest of the movie is not bad, as long as you don't mind extreme violence, NEGATIVES: the lighting is poor, and the action is so fast paced that you may need your special effects button on the VCR to be sure of what you're seeing. stabbing and scissoring just don't seem to go well together. (Menno's Mind is an exception!) here there is no squeezing. the scissors is just used as a setup for a kill. OVERALL RATING: *
