ACCESS: video/has been shown on varous cable channels such as ENCORE and USA.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Robert Urich leads a motley crew of space pirates whose
main goal is to steal the most valuable commodity in a thirsty universe, water
(or in this case ice). they come across a rebellious princess who enlists
their aid to find her missing father. this is an action packed, tongue in
cheek comedy that does not fail to deliver. Anjelica Huston has a great scene
where she defends Mary Crosby by taking on two guys in a barroom swordfight.
she decapitates one of them and makes the other apologise. after he does she
slashes him across the cheek and says she didn't like his tone. he then
apologises again in a very humble way, at which time she lets him go. there
are several other m/f fights as well. this is definitely worth watching.

SCISSORS SCENE: Robert Urich and Mary Crosby have been captured by a group of
scantly clad, beautiful but muscular female warriors. they are brought into a
palace and up a staircase to see a man whose disembodied head sits on a
robot's body. Mary demands to see her father and they argue about it. just as
he orders the warriors to kill them Urich's side kick (i don't know his name.
he was Baretta's pimp friend in the old tv series) swings down on a rope and
kicks the man's head off of his robot body. the girls pounce on him and Urich.
four women wrestle down the sidekick and four others tackle Urich. as he is
going down one of them grabs his hair and wraps a powerful shapely leg around
his neck, squeezing his throat between her calf and thigh. unfortunately the
camera cuts away to where Mary Crosby has gotten away from the one warrior she
was struggling with and grabbed a gun. she holds the gun to the head which has
rolled down the stairs to rest at her feet. when she threatens to shoot it the
"talking head" orders his warriors to release the men. the sidekick is freed
first and he says to Urich, "you need some help man?" Urich, who is still
hopelessly bound in female muscle, casually replies, "i've got them right
where i want them." the sidekick says, "yeah, i know the feeling." the
scissoring warrior and her friends slowly unwrap him and, as they release him
Urich says. "all right, girls. let that be a lesson to you."

POSITIVES: good setup, but the best part of the scene is undoubtedly the
casting! how often in movies that feature groups of amazons do they have one
well built women and the rest f'getabodit. this scene was cast with about 15
FBB's. there were no 90 pound models that were told to look tough. naturaly,
being that this was a comedy, even the scissors was played for laughs, but i
do wish the camera could have lingered just a bit longer. i guess that's why
they put special effects buttons on VCRs.

NEGATIVES: the lighting was only so so here, which is very surprising
considering that this was no low budget affair. as stated previously, they cut
away quickly from the scissors which always irks me but they did come back to
it.
