movie mixed scissors scenes by dmg e-mail:donfreeman@webtv.net From Dusk Till Dawn STARRING: George Clooney Harvey Keitel Juliette Lewis Quentin Tarantino Salma Hayek Cheech Marin Fred Williamson Danny Trejo Directed by Robert Rodriguez ACCESS: video/it also has been shown on independent cable channel ENCORE. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: this is very possibly the most demented, shocking gore fest you will ever see, but it is produced with same technical genius and style that Quentin Tarantino put into his other, more successful efforts. (Pulp Fiction, for one) this is definitely not for the squeamsh. usually i stick to describing the scissors scene but this is an unusual case. the brief scissors is only average, but the scene before and the scene after it are two of the most breathtaking, erotically charged scenes you will ever see in any movie. first there is Salma Hayek's table dance. the lights go down in the nightclub and she is introduced as "the evil Satanico". she comes out with a large albino boa constrictor coiled around her. her supple body writhes in time with the snake for over a minute before she hands it to two helpers. she then dances her way from one table top to another until she is above Quentin Tarantino. (sometimes it's good to be the writer!) some outstanding angles are used here to explore Miss Hayek's smooth musculature as she places one bare foot in his mouth. she then pours whiskey down her bare leg onto her feet and toes which he eagerly licks clean. as the song ends (and the music was excellent btw) George Clooney expresses the sentiments of one and all when he starts clapping and yells, "now that's some f***ing show!" later, (after the scissors scene which i will describe below) Miss Hayek has another awesome moment that is the stuff fantasies are made of. after flattening George Clooney with a right to the jaw she plants a foot on his chest and stands above him. the camera again lovingly caresses every inch of her well toned body as she pins him down and tells him how she will make him her slave for life and how he will eternally be degraded at her feet. (at this point i was thinking, "you got a deal!") he tries to load his gun as she keeps him trapped with one foot and continues to verbally abuse him. the moment ends when he gets his gun loaded and shoots the chandelier above her which then crashes down on her. trust me, you will wear out the special effects on your VCR with these two scenes. SCISSORS SCENE: after the table dance a brawl breaks out. George and Quentin shoot several people while Quentin gets stabbed in the hand. Salma's gorgeous face transforms into a hideous, almost reptilian female demon (fortunately no changes take place from the neck down). she leaps onto Quentin's back applying a tight bodyscissors as she bites down on his neck. he spins about screaming and spurting blood but she is wrapped around him tightly and he can't escape. there is total chaos as the vampires and humans fight to the death. in the background there are several possible scissors as you see women biting men while their legs are around them. most of these are just momentary glimpses, however. POSITIVES: awesome woman, good camera work and lghting, very energetic. NEGATIVES: the scissors scene itself was very short. it was the scene before and after it that will make you sit up and take notice. OVERALL RATING: **
