GENERAL DESCRIPTION: a beautiful but deranged computer genius (Laura San
Giacomo) puts an explosive filled spaceship onto a collision course with the
earth. two rival salvage crews fiercely battle each other as the clock counts
down and the minutes dwindle to a precious few.

SCISSORS SCENE: Sandra Bernhard and a male underling have been taken prisoner
by the rival leader. they are in a large cell which is under video
surveillance. Sandra and the male simulate having sex to trick their captor
(her ex-lover) into entering the cell. when he does they jump him. she leaps
up, grabs the overhead bars, and applies a tight headscissors from behind. her
male assistant batters the man repeatedly in the head and stomach as he tries
in vain to escape her imprisoning legs. soon his struggles weaken and she
drops him to the cell floor. he lays there spent as she prepares to shoot him.
when her male companion protests she decides to bludgeon him but he recovers
enough to stab her. it's only a superficial wound and her and her male
companion escape.

POSITIVES: good setup, good camera work, and Ms. Bernhard supplied the energy
necessary to make the scene work. well done.

NEGATIVES: like most scissors scenes, it was too short.
