Session with Sonia Fernandes By TomNine This is a general account of a wrestling session with Sonia Fernandes in April 1998. I hope readers find it useful if they are considering booking a session with Sonia, or anybody else. This is my sixth session with a wrestling lady. My accounts of meeting Christine Marshall and Ms Rayne should also be available on the site where you found this, and I met Karla Nelson, Sandy Bouwman and Thea Bennington before I decided to write these accounts. I like to wrestle non-competitively but hard. My idea of fun is being pinned by a powerful lady, but I make her work for it and if I can pin her back I will. Setting Up the Match Sonia was travelling in the US at the same time I was also visiting New England briefly from my current home in the Washington, DC, area. Her plans weren't firm but neither were mine, so I could not make any plans very far in advance, Also, I had just wrestled Rayne a few weeks before and Christine shortly before that, and I did plan to ration out my sessions a bit and not go too crazy with wrestling. But I had heard much about Sonia, all of it good, and who knows when I'll get a chance to see her again? I returned home from New England on Thursday night and when I checked out wb270's great list of wrestling ladies I saw that Sonia was in town starting the next day. The only contact information provided was an e-mail address for Lisa Houston, though there was also mention that Lisa's computer was down. I sent an e-mail anyways, what the heck. Before I went to bed I received a reply and a phone number in Falls Church, Virginia, to call. (It would later be revealed that Sonia herself was reading and answering Lisa's e-mail.) I called the next day at around 11:30 a.m. and Sonia answered. My vacation ran through Friday so I was free that day as well as the weekend, and I hoped she had some time available. As it turned out, due to various problems Sonia had booked very few sessions that visit and could see me just about any time I liked. We planned to meet at 1 p.m. that day. I really enjoy the period of anticipation before a match, but I had unthinkingly scheduled our appointment with barely enough time to take a shower and drive to her place! She read me some directions while I followed along on my map, but I had to prepare for the idea that I could get lost on the way. Fortunately, traffic was not very bad (40 minutes to get there, more like 90 minutes to get home in rush-hour!) and the apartment was very easy to find. Meeting Sonia I was 20 minutes early but entered the apartment building anyways. I called from the lobby and she buzzed me in. She greeted me at the apartment door wearing slacks and a shirt, with high heels that brought her height even with mine. (I'm 5' 10.5" and she's about 5' 8".) Sonia's most prominant feature is the biggest, most infectious smile you've ever seen! I don't know what her ethnicity is, but I would guess some African/European mix. She is prettier than the average woman, with broad, dark features and expressive eyes. She is not a bodybuilder (she told me she had never trained or participated in any sport other than wrestling) and her body is attractive but not what one might consider highly athletic. She speaks with a lovely French accent, with some words and phrases shaped by her years of living in the UK. We spoke briefly. As usual, I was very inarticulate about what I wanted out of the session but it didn't seem to bother her. I was there to see what she could do, and I was eager to start. She went into another room to get ready while I striped to my t-shirt and the walking shorts I was already wearing. In a moment she came out wearing a one-piece bathing suit. She asked me to take off my t-shirt, and I was happy to oblige. The Match All my previous sessions were in impersonal hotel rooms, and the apartment was a nice change from that. A few mats were in a corner, not enough room to go wild in but fine for what we would do. I'm a bit bigger than Sonia (220 lbs vs about 155 lbs) but she wasn't at all intimidated. First she stretched out a bit (very nice for me to watch!) then we began on our knees. As eager as I was to be pinned by her I made her work for it, and it wasn't very long before she twisted me down to the mat under her. I could resist being formally pinned but there was no way I could reverse this hold, or any other hold as the match went on. She kept me down on the mat for a while, not letting me up even after I submitted. Fine by me! She got me in a neck scissors that was still causing pain a few days later. She worked it into a figure-four around my neck, holding me playfully. I jokingly said it was a very easy hold to break, and she quickly became much more serious about the hold! It was never painful enough to cause me to submit but I did have to admit that I would never be able to free myself from her grip. Her grapevine was also deceptively powerful, starting off gently and escalating way beyond the comfort zone. Christine Marshall's grapevines were explosive causing me to submit quickly but Sonia liked to toy with me, equally happy to just maintain control of me or to really bear down. While she was positioned above me she asked if I liked smother holds. I'm not wild about having my air supply cut off but it's hard to say no to a lady who wants to hold my head between her breasts. As with most of Sonia's holds I could not escape these smothers but I could get loose enough once in a while to catch a breath of air. Sonia instructed me to stop struggling (she said "Don't panic!") and to just hold my breath as long as I could before submitting. This isn't quite "wrestling" at this point, but it was very pleasant. Once she had me sufficiantly trained she demonstrated how she could smother me with just one breast. Later, she would treat me to a very effective grapevine/smother combination. We spent lots of time just talking and relaxing. A few times Sonia let me assume a dominant position and invited me to try to maintain control over her. Smiling, she asked me if I was satisfied with my hold on her as she looked around to see how far we were from the walls. She was capable of bucking me off her pretty easily and it was never long before the situation was reversed and she resumed her rightful place above me. Sonia's chief advantage is years of wrestling experience. She is fast and agile. I am stronger than her bodypart for bodypart, but she had little trouble overwhelming me with efficient moves. When I asked to armwrestle she said that she knew my arms were stronger than hers from the way I could resist being pinned but she was willing to try. On right arms I put her down pretty fast. On left arms she quickly started pushing me down with both arms, finally using all her upper body to put down my arm, suggesting that I retell the match as a draw. We wrestled for well over an hour, Sonia working every hold tenaciously as I struggled inefficiently against her. She seemed to take true delight in dominating me and in constantly surprising me with her speed and skill. I suspect a highly skilled male wrestler in her weight class would be able to defeat her, but the average guy wouldn't really stand a chance. I give Sonia very high marks for her wrestling abilities and for her exotic good looks. A very fun session. Even though the phone was ringing all the time I was there she never took her attention off our session and there was no effort to rush me out the door. I spent just under two hours with Sonia that afternoon, a pretty good value for the money. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who thinks he might be interested in wrestling a fun, competitive, non-bodybuilder. I look forward to meeting Sonia again some day. There is already a surprising amount of literature about wrestling with Sonia. Diana the Valkyrie's library contains seven such accounts. Some are of dubious value and are overly fawning, but I can't really dispute anything I read about Sonia in any of them. One written by Shy Guy is especially good as the story of a guy's first wrestling session. Also, the guest book at Sonia's webpage contains many first-hand reports of meeting Sonia. Nobody has anything bad to say about this classy lady.
