Penny Meets a Boy by M.C. In order to protect her older brother from a big bully, a pretty high school girl has to beat up the toughest boy in her school. As Penny Warner walked down the vacant hall towards the weight room, she thought about how she would deal with the situation that she suddenly found herself in. The pretty 17 year-old high school junior would have preferred not to have had to deal with a situation like this, but, unfortunately for her, circumstances beyond her control have forced her hand and she would indeed have to take action. What happened was this: Richard, her 18 year-old brother, felt that after Ed Wilson - the school bully - began to harass his girlfriend because she wouldn't go out with him, had to challenge Ed to an after-school fight. The only problem was: Ed stood six feet three inches tall, weighed 230 pounds and was the school's heavyweight wrestler and the star middle linebacker on the football team. Her brother Richard, on the other hand, was only five-feet ten inches tall and weighed around 180 pounds; and he wasn't the greatest of athletes. So what chance did Penny's brother have against this strong, tough and mean bully? Richard would surely get his ass kicked, and no doubt hurt, in the process. So what was a good little sister to do? Penny realized that she had only one option. When she reached the door to the weight room Penny opened it a tiny bit to get a peek inside and, sure enough, Ed was there. Furthermore, he was alone. "Good," she thought to herself, "this will make things a lot easier for me." She tied her long, pretty brown hair into a ponytail, opened the door and went inside; then closed and and locked it after she entered. >>From the outside of the weight room everything was quiet for about a minute ...and then, WHAM! POW! CRACK! WHAM! THUMP! SMACK! This continued for the next several minutes until finally SLAM! - which was then followed by a loud THUD!; and then quiet returned. A few seconds later the door opened slightly and Penny poked her pretty (and unmarked) face out. She looked first to the left and then to the right. Satisfied that nobody was in the vicinity, she went back inside. Shortly afterwards the weight room door flung wide open and Penny walked out - carrying the large, badly beaten and unconscious Ed Wilson over her right shoulder! With her right arm wrapped around Ed's ankles, the five foot-five inch, 130 pound girl carried - seemingly without any effort - the large, strong wrestler and football player down the hall. When she reached the door that read 'Gymnasium Storeroom', she stopped. With her free left hand, Penny fiddled around with a ring of keys until she found the one she was looking for. She unlocked the storeroom door, went inside then closed and locked it behind her. Penny gently lowered Ed's massive body to the floor in such a way that his back was propped up against a stack of wrestling mats. As he was still unconscious, Penny pondered what she should do next. After giving it some thought, Penny removed one of her running shoes (she had been jogging earlier) and took off her sock. She then rolled it up into a tight ball and stuffed it into Ed's mouth. Then she untied her ponytail and used the headband to tie his wrists together behind his back (snugly, but not too tight as to cut off his circulation). "There," she said to herself,"that should hold you for awhile; at least until I get back." Penny then unlocked the storeroom door and, after checking to see that nobody was near-by, exited. Ten Minutes Later: "Richard! Richard!" Penny called out. She had walked over to the park which was located just across the street from her high school where the fight between her brother and Ed was supposed to take place. "What's going on big brother?" "Well Penny, as you know I challenged Ed Wilson to a fight because he wouldn't stop harassing my girlfriend. But for some reason he hasn't shown up yet." A rather large group of students also showed up and were milling around. Having heard about the fight through the grapevine, they all came to watch; thinking, no doubt, that Richard would surely get his ass kicked. "Hmmm...well maybe he decided not to fight you after all Richard. I mean Cindy is your girlfriend, and everybody in school knows it." "That's highly unlikely Penny. Ed loves to beat people up; in fact, I think he lives for it. I can't see him turning down an opportunity to get into another fight. He claims that he's never lost a single fight in his entire life. (Short pause) Why are you giggling, Penny?" "Oh, it's nothing Richard. I just had a funny thought. Tee, hee, hee." Penny, Richard, Cindy and the rest of the students hung around the park for about ten more minutes; but when they realized that Ed wasn't going to show up, they started to disperse. "Well big brother, it seems that you won't be doing any fighting today. Maybe you and Cindy could start walking home and do your homework; now that you have the time." "I don't understand it. Why would Ed not be here? He loves fighting. This just doesn't make any sense." Then he glanced down at his sister's shoes. "And why are you only wearing one sock, Penny?" "Well...it's kind of a long story brother; perhaps some day I'll tell you about it (giggles). I'm afraid I won't be able to walk home with you and Cindy today Richard. Remember, I'm in charge of the gymnasium and I still have a bit of cleaning up to do. I'll be home in time for dinner though." Penny then gave her brother and his girlfriend a hug and began walking back to the gym. "Well, good afternoon sleepyhead," Penny teased as she reentered the storeroom and saw the now conscious, but still tied up, Ed lying on the floor. "Hmmm...it looks like you received quite a beating there Eddie. Let's see now, I know we have a first aid kit around here somewhere; the question is where? Oh, I see it." Penny brought the first aid kit over to where Ed was lying and sat down on his stomach, straddling it with a bent leg on each side. As his back was propped up against the tall stack of wrestling mats, Penny and Ed were virtually eye-to-eye."Now, let's see what we can do about this face of yours. Boy, it sure looks like somebody really put you through a meat grinder Eddie; tee, hee, hee." As Penny began to attend to big Ed's welts and bruises, wounds that she herself had given him only a short time before (that's irony for you), the pretty girl also lectured him on how she expected him to behave from now on. ''I'm not sorry for the beating I gave you Ed. You're a big bully and you deserved it. But I am a bit sorry that I may have overdone it. But you were going to beat up my brother because he wanted to defend his relationship with his girlfriend; and I simply couldn't allow to you to do that. After all, why have I been studying martial arts for the past 14 years (Penny began studying karate when she was only four years old and holds a second degree black belt), if I can't defend my brother, whom I love dearly, from rough, tough bullies like you? At least now you know what it's like to be on the receiving end of a good beating. Doesn't feel too good, does it?" With Penny's sock still in stuffed his mouth and his hands tied behind his back, big Ed Walker could do nothing more than lie there - totally beaten and humiliated by a girl half his size. "There," Penny said,"I've stopped the bleeding from your lips and nose. But I'm afraid your black eye and swollen jaw will take a few more days to heal. Now, I don't really care what excuse you tell people as to how you got beaten up so badly. You could tell them that you got jumped by a group of Navy Seals for all I care. But what I do care about is this Eddie - that you leave my brother and his girlfriend alone. Because if you ever threaten either one of them again, then the next beating I give you will be twice as bad as this one; and I'll make sure to do it in front of the whole school. Understand?" Penny removed the sock that she had stuffed in Ed's mouth."I asked you a question big boy. Do you understand?" "Yes," he replied meekly with tears forming in his eyes. "I'll...I won't bother Richard and Cindy again Penny. I promise." "That's a good boy Eddie." Penny couldn't resist the urge to gently pat the tough, macho football player and wrestler on the head after he said that. "Because it would be real a shame if I have to give you another beating like this one; but I certainly will if I have to. And by-the-way, your tummy makes a very comfy seat; tee, hee." Penny got up from Ed's stomach and put away the first aid kit; then she went back to where Ed was lying. She bent over, put one of her hands under each of his armpits and lifted him up off the floor. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll take back my headband (smirk)." After she untied him, Penny smiled up at six foot-three inch 230 pound boy that towered over her - a boy that she had just beaten up and humiliated. "Not quite 'as good as new' Eddie but it will have to do for now. I'd put an ice pack on that swollen jaw of yours when you get home though." She then made a fist and playfully tapped the badly swollen left side of Ed's face. Penny unlocked the storeroom door and peeked outside. "The coast is clear Eddie, we can leave now without anybody seeing us. And as I said before, nobody ever has to know what I did to you today; it'll be our little secret (wink). Would you like me to help you walk home ?" The large boy shook his head. "As you wish. Very well then, I think my business with you is over. Have a nice rest of the day." After Ed staggered out of the storeroom and began to limp away, Penny fluffed up her pretty hair, locked the door and started to walk home. Friday Afternoon: Ed Wilson didn't show up for school for the next few days and by Friday Penny began to worry about him. As she, Richard and Cindy walked home from school that afternoon, Penny casually asked,"has anyone seen Ed Wilson recently?" "Not since that day he was supposed to fight Richard," Cindy replied. "But why do you care Penny? He's just a big bully who was going to beat up your brother; if he had showed up that is." Penny thought for a few moments before responding,"Oh, I just thought it strange that all of a sudden he's not around. Do you know where he lives?" "Yes. He actually lives just a few blocks away from us Penny; in that big white house on the corner of Elm Street and Brand Blvd. Why do you ask? Do you plan to pay him a visit?" Penny smiled. "Maybe. I'm just curious as to why he didn't show up to fight you in the park the other day Richard. Maybe something really bad happened to him." "All I can say is good riddance," Cindy chimed in. "He's nothing but an arrogant bully. Not at all like your brother Penny." When they reached Penny and Richard's home, Richard turned to his sister and said,"Penny, Cindy and I are going out to a movie after dinner tonight. Why don't you find somebody and we can double date?" "Thanks for the invite Richard; but I'll take a rain check on that." "Oh come on Penny!" Cindy yelled. "You've got to have something more in your life than just martial arts and studying. You're so damn serious all the time. Don't you ever have any fun? Just find some guy and go out with us, damn it!" Richard looked in horror at his sister when Cindy said this - he is well aware of what his sister is capable of. But Penny simply smiled back at him. It was as if she was saying,"it's O.K. brother. Cindy is not only your girlfriend, she's also my best friend. After all, it was me who got you two together in the first place; wasn't it? And because of that, she's one of the few people who can talk to me this way. So just chill big brother."(One can say a quite lot with a simple smile when one wants to). "So Penny, you're really going to pay Ed a visit?" Richard asked his sister. "I just want to make sure that he's all right; that's all. You guys go out and have a great time tonight. And please don't worry about me; I'll be fine." Penny walked the few extra blocks to the large white house on the corner of Elm Street and Brand Blvd. Before knocking on the door, she fluffed up her long, pretty brown hair and straightened her shirt; then she knocked. "Why hello there Eddie, remember me?" Before the large, strong boy even had a chance to slam the door in her face, Penny forced her way past him and entered his home. "My, what a lovely home you have here." "What the hell are you doing here?" Ed bellowed. "My, my, what a potty mouth you have there. I just came to see how you were doing Eddie. I noticed that you haven't been in school since our little 'encounter' earlier in the week, and I wanted to be sure you were O.K. As I said, I might have been a bit too rough on you." "I'm fine, no thanks to you." "What was I supposed to do Eddie? Allow you to beat up my brother just because he was going to defend his relationship with his girlfriend? You would have beaten him to a pulp; and as his little sister, I just couldn't allow you to do that. So I had to beat you up. At least I did it in private; not in front of the whole school as I originally thought of doing. So deal with it! Do you want me to beat you up again? Because I'm very tempted to do so - and you know I can. The choice is yours big boy." Furious at having been humiliated by this much smaller girl, big Ed Wilson lost it and threw a punch at Penny - which proved to be a big mistake. The 17 year-old martial arts expert deftly blocked his punch and then quickly moved to the offensive. With her long pretty hair swishing around behind her, Penny (using her open hand instead of her fists so as not to bruise up Ed's still somewhat battered face more than she had to) slapped the 230 boy all around his house. But even with just her open hand Penny was still giving him a fairly comprehensive beating. After about three minutes, Ed ran into his bedroom and locked the door. "What's the matter tough guy?" Penny teased as she stood outside of Ed's bedroom door. "Is the big, strong, rough, tough Ed Wilson afraid of a little girl like me? Tee, hee, hee." "Leave me the hell alone!" he shouted from inside his bedroom. Penny considered what she should do next for a few moments; then she said,"I hope you're not standing too close to the door Eddie." "Why?" "This is why." SMASH! And with a powerful thrust with her right fist, the pretty 17 year-old girl slammed through the solid wooden door as if it was made of paper machete. Penny then reached down, unlocked the door and entered. "It seems like you've run out of places to hide from me Eddie," shegiggled. "So what's the big, strong, rough, tough boy going to do now?" Penny was standing before Ed (who was sitting on the edge of his bed) with her hands on her hips. She couldn't help but notice that he was literally shaking from head to toe. "What's the matter big boy," she teased,"afraid of a little girl? Tee, hee, hee." "Just leave me alone Penny," Ed cried (tears were actually beginning to form in his eyes when he said this). "Oh you poor thing you," Penny cooed as she sat down next to the crying boy. "Here, let little Penny make it all better for you," she said as she put her left arm around his massive shoulder. "it wasn't my intention to come here and beat you up again Eddie. I only wanted to see if you were all right because you weren't in school for the past few days. But you were very rude to me so I felt I had to teach you another lesson. And need I remind you that you threw the first punch." As Penny sat next to Ed with her arm around him, a strange feeling was coming over her that she'd never felt before. Up until now, her life had been dominated by just two things - martial arts and studying (in addition to holding a second degree black belt in karate, she also has a perfect 4.0 grade point average in school - in fact, she never had so much as a single "B" in her entire life; and she takes the hardest subjects too). But now, for the very first time, she was feeling attracted to a boy - and she wasn't exactly sure how to deal with it. But then, all of a sudden, she knew exactly what she had to do. The pretty 17 year-old girl stood up from Ed's bed, placed a hand under each of Ed's armpits and raised him up. Then she bent over and lifted the large, muscular boy over her right shoulder, wrapped her right arm around his ankles (just like she had done earlier in the week at school) and carried him out of his house. "Where are you taking me?" Ed cried as Penny effortlessly walked down the street with him slung over her shoulder. "I'm taking you home with me Eddie. You're going to be my boyfriend." "What? I can't be your boyfriend Penny!" "You can and you will; and that's all there is to it!" Penny walked the several blocks to her home and entered through the front door (and she wasn't even out of breath when she arrived). "Hello Richard and Cindy." Penny giggled at the surprised looks they had on their faces when she walked in with the 230 pound Ed draped over her shoulder. "I decided to take your advise after all Cindy. So it looks like Eddie and I will be joining you guys this evening for a double date; tee, hee. But Eddie and I have a few things we need to straighten out first." With Ed still slung over her shoulder, Penny walked into her bedroom. After closing the bedroom door, she flung the stunned boy on her bed. "Now I have to admit that, having never had a boyfriend before, I'm a little bit unsure as to how to go about this girlfriend/boyfriend thing so just bare with me." "There's no way in hell that I'm going to be your boyfriend after what you did to me Penny. No way in hell!" "My, my, you sure do have a potty mouth there, don't you Eddie. It looks like I'm going to have to do something about that male ego of yours. Penny was standing in front of Ed (who was sitting on the edge of her bed) with her hands on her hips. And as she pondered her next move she suddenly began to giggle, "and I think I know exactly what to do." Penny reached back, took her long, pretty, brown hair and tied it into a thick braid with a tight knot at the end of it. Then she turned her head from side to side a few times. "What the hell are you doing Penny?" Ed asked. "My experience with bullies has taught me that the only way to cure a guy of his macho ego problem is to simply to beat it out of them; but to do it in such a way that it'll never come back." The pretty girl then reached out and grabbed big Ed's wrists, one in each hand. "Trust me Eddie, you'll be a much better person by the time I'm through with you." Penny then began quickly to turn her head from side to side, whacking Ed in the face with the knot of her braid as she did so. Desperately, the large, strong boy tried to break free but, amazingly, Penny's grip on his wrists was simply too strong and she held him in place. Back and forth, back and forth Penny whacked him with her braid; teasing him as she did so. "Boy, some tough guy you turned out to be - I can even beat you up with just my hair; tee, hee, hee." Although the hair whacking didn't hurt him at first, it did sting and, after several minutes of it, Ed's face began to turn red and welts began to appear. "How does it feel to be beaten up by a girl's hair tough guy?" Penny teased as she continued to whack him back and forth across his face. It was at this point the the door to Penny's bedroom opened and a large and rather well built woman entered carrying a stack of clean, neatly folded laundry. "Look mommy," Penny smiled,"this is the roughest, toughest boy in our school - and I'm beating him up with just my braid; tee, hee." "That's nice dear," Penny's mother replied as she put the clean laundry on the top of Penny chest of drawers. "Will he be staying for dinner?" "Yes he will. And then we're going out on a double date with Richard and Cindy. Ed's going to be my boyfriend after I finish teaching him a lesson and crushing his male ego. You taught me well mommy, (it was Penny's mother - a martial arts instructor - who began training her when she was four years old)." "Yes dear, it looks like I did." Penny's mother winked at her daughter as she left the room; but she left the door open a little so Richard and Cindy could watch. Unable to escape Penny's constant hair whacking, and with his face now covered with welts (not to mention his macho ego completely shattered) big Ed Wilson, the toughest guy in his school, broke down and began to cry. "Please stop this Penny," he begged. "Please stop humiliating me!" Penny paused for a moment. "I won't stop until you agree to become my boyfriend." When he didn't reply, Penny resumed her hair beating. "All right! All right Penny! I'll be your boyfriend. Please, please stop humiliating me!" "Very well then." Penny sat down next to the large crying boy. She untied her braid, fluffed up her pretty hair and then began to use it to wipe the tears away from big Ed's badly bruised face. "You see how much easier things are when you cooperate with me Eddie?" she said softly. "And look at how versatile a girl's hair can be. One minute I'm beating you up with it, and the next I'm using it to wipe away your tears." Penny looked over and smiled at Richard and Cindy who were both staring, totally transfixed, by what they had just seen her do - beat up the roughest, toughest boy in their school with just her hair! "Eddie will be a good boy from now on; I guarantee it. His bullying days are now officially over. And though it probably doesn't seem possible right now, I know that one day he'll thank me for what I just did to him. And By- the-way, what movie are we all going to see tonight?"
