Greta, the Mighty Amazon Warrior: Part 6 by M.C. Greta continues her assult on the castle. Jason followed Greta down the narrow circular stairway that led from the watchtower to the castle's courtyard. Before they went out into the open, she took him aside and whispered, "Jason, you're to stay right behind me at all times. At no point are you to go off by yourself, and under no circumstances are you to engage in any fighting; that's my job. If you do as I say, we'll get out of this in one piece. Do you understand me honey?" Although the large woman spoke to him as a mother might speak to a small child, Jason, after considering where they were and what they were up against, thought it wise to simply nod his head in agreement. This was obviously a woman used to giving orders - and having her orders obeyed. But what really amazed Jason was the supreme confidence Greta had in herself and her abilities. Although they were inside an enemy castle, guarded by a small army of armed tough men, still had to find (and free) Jason's sister and then somehow manage to get out alive; the mighty woman never doubted for an instant that their mission would end successfully. In fact, she seemed to feel the odds were on her side. Even the thought of facing a giant whose strength was legendary, didn't faze her. With each passing moment Jason's admination for this incredible woman grew. Glancing out into the courtyard, Greta spotted what looked to her like a door which led to the castle's dungeon; where Jason's sister was undoubtably being held. It was being guarded by two men who didn't appear to be very alert. "O.K. honey,"she said,"follow me." Together they left the watchtower and stealthfully made their way along the side of the courtyard; protected by the darkness of the moonless night. As they neared the guards, Greta whispered something in Jason's ear. A few moments later the men heard a strange sound coming from a near-by alley. Leaving their post to investigate, they were surprised to see a man lying on his stomach, moaning. In the dim light they couldn't make out who it was. "Probably Leo, drunk again," one of them said and laughed,"let's take him back to his quarters." When they approached, a large figure suddenly emerged from out of the shadows behind them. As with the guards in the forest, the powerful Amazon wrapped her strong arms tightly around their necks. All it would take now would be a bit more pressure and they would both be joining their ancestors. But as Greta held the two helpless men in her mighty grasp, she noticed Jason staring up at her from the ground where he lay. Without a word passing between them, a tacit agreement was reached. After a few more seconds, Greta opened her muscular arms and the two men slumped to the ground; unconscious, but alive. "O.K. Jason," she said quietly as she helped him to his feet,"I'll try not to kill anymore unless it's absolutely necessary." Then, after a pause, she added,"emphasis on the word *try*." Jason could have sworn he saw a slight smile on her beautiful face when she said this. So that they wouldn't be detected, Greta dragged the unconscious guards deeper into the dark alley "What do we do now?" Jason asked her when she returned. "Now," Greta answered as she showed him the key to the door that she had taken off one of the guards (she also took one of their swords)," we go free your sister." Greta unlocked the door and the pair entered a long, dark passageway that went deep underneath the castle. "This has to be the way to the dungeon," she said to her companion, his anticipation growing with each step. The passageway seemed to go on forever. Finally, it opened into a large room. The only light was from a small tourch in the far corner. In the dimly lit area Greta and Jason could barely make out what appeared to be a massive wooden door on the opposite side; a prison cell. Oddly, there didn't seem to be anyone around guarding it. "Constance!," Jason yelled out when he looked into the small window on the door (he was overcome with emotion but also knew that no one outside could possibly hear him way down in the depths of the dungeon). "Jason? Jason, is that you?" came the responce from behind the door."I can't believe it!" "Yes Constance, it's me. We've come to rescue you." He tried to open the door but it was locked. "Do you have the key, Greta?" "No I don't Jason; but I do have something else. Stand aside and tell your sister to keep away from the door." When they had done so, Greta dropped the sword. She then took a few running steps, lowered her shoulder and slammed head-on into the large obstacle. "CRASH!" In yet another display of her tremendous physical strength, the mighty woman smashed the wooden door to pieces. Brother and sister were reunited and began to embrace. "Err, I hate to break up your family reunion guys," the Amazon reluctantly said," but I suggest we get going. Those guards aren't going to stay asleep forever." "Yes Greta, you're right. Come Constance, we have to hurry." But as the three of them turned towards the exit, they were stopped in their tracks by the biggest, strongest, most awesome looking man any of them had ever laid eyes on. He must have stood at least seven feet tall and easily weighed over 500 muscular pounds. Blocking their only way out, he smiled smugly with his huge arms folded; daring them to try and pass him."Greta, wha-what do we do now?" " *We* aren't going to do anything," she answered with a calmness that surprised Jason and his sister, "I'll handle this. I promised you I'd free your sister and get you both out safely...and I will. Now, just stand back and enjoy the show." She handed Jason the sword and winked. Then, the beautiful Amazon warrior turned around and began slowly walking towards the huge man that was blocking their way. Strangely, she had a smile on her face. "O.K. big boy, let's see what you've got." End of part 6
