The Boxing Lesson : Part Two by M.C. Sally has to deal with the 'monster' she created. Authors note: This story is a sequel to the first story I ever wrote for Diana's site; about two years ago. It's found in my bookshelf under the title, " The Boxing Lesson ". Here's a brief recap: Bob, Sally's boyfriend, decides that as a way of raising money for his fraternity, he'll challenge the ferocious " Tony the Tiger " - winner of the toughest man in the State contest - to a boxing match in the fraternity 's annual fund raising event. Tony has a standing offer of $3,000 to anyone who can survive five minutes in the ring with him; so far, nobody ever has. Though a good amateur boxer, Sally is afraid that Bob may be seriously injured by the vicious brawler who has a reputation for brutality; so she takes matters into her own hands. Under the pretext of wanting to learn how to box, she asks Tony to give her a private boxing lesson. She then proceeds to batter him into a pulp and humiliate him. Sally warns Tony that if Bob were to be injured in his match with Tony, she' ll beat him up far worse then she already did - and in public. Needless to say, Tony lets Bob last the five minutes. Afraid that Bob's ego would be shattered if he ever found out the truth, Sally decides it must be kept a secret. And now the sequel : In the three weeks since Bob's ' victory ' over Tony the Tiger, Sally noticed a dramatic change in his personality. The once shy, introverted guy she fell in love with was slowly changing into a brash and somewhat cockey person; awash in self confidence. At first, Sally didn't mind so much; afterall, she'd always thought he was a little bit too shy for his own good. That's why she encouraged him to take up boxing in the first place - to give him more self - confidence. She was happy that he took to it so well, they even sparred playfully with each other. But ever since he survived his match with the " Toughest man in the state ", he began to take his boxing far more seriously. In his mind, he not only survived the five minutes but actually won the fight. Bob's attitude began to change. He began to order other people around and talk to them in a condesending manner. Their friends began to have ' other plans ' whenever Bob and Sally wanted to do something with them. Slowly, Sally began to ask herself, " what have I done ? " She soon realized that, in trying to protect the love of her life, she inadvertantly opened a Pandora's box. Those feelings of grandeur that each of us hold - deep down inside of us - have now been brought to the surface. Bob, unaccustomed to feeling self - important did not seem able to deal with it. Even Sally, being a superb athlete, has to fight with herself from time to time to put down her feelings of superiority towards others less endowed than herself. That's why she and Bob got along so well, their personalities seemed to complement each other. Now, all of that was put in jeopardy; and Sally did not know what to do about it. She loved Bob much too much to leave him, and she knew that if she told him the truth about what really happenen in his fight with Tony the Tiger, their relationship would be shattered forever. In addition, she also felt she was somewhat responsible for the present situation, although she wasn't quite sure how she could have reacted differently under the circumstances. Then, an incident occured that forced her to take action. Bob bounded up the stairs to their apartment. As he burst in he was beaming from ear to ear. "Sally, guess what ? ", he said in a loud voice, " I've just signed up to enter the " Toughest man in the state " contest next month. I figure that if I can beat Tony the Tiger, then I can beat anybody ". Sally's heart dropped, now what was she going to do ? " My God ", she said to herself, " I 've created a monster." Now she had to decide what to do. She couldn't beat up all of the contestants in private and force them to let Bob win (well perhaps she could, but that wouldn't solve the problem - it would only make it worse). She could let him fight, and get creamed and possibly injured. Or she could simply tell him the truth - that she beat up Tony the Tiger and forced him to let Bob go the distance. But Sally knew that if she did that, their relationship would be changed forever. Sally just wanted things to return to the way they were before all of this began.....but how to do it? She thought and thought and, finally, came up with an idea that she hoped would solve the dilemma in which she found herself . " Bob, since you' ve become quite a boxer, I was wondering if you could help me out with something ". Bob was always willing to help out the woman he loved. " Sure ", he said, " how can I be of service ? " Sally smiled, " Well Karen, my 16 year old sister, just took up boxing a few weeks ago and I was wondering if you could give her a boxing lesson, she 'd really appreciate it ". Bob had always liked Karen. A slightly smaller version of Sally, she was a beautiful, athletic girl with long blond hair; just like Sally. " Of course I will, it will be a pleasure to introduce her to the manly art of boxing " Bob replied. Sally gave Bob a long, passionate kiss on the lips and said, " thank you honey; I'm sure it will be a memorial experience...for the both of you ". Bob was so pleased with himself that he didn't even notice Sally 's cryptic smile. The next day around two in the afternoon, there was a knock on the door. " Well hello Karen ", Bob greeted her; " and how's our little pugilist today ? " " Fine thanks ", she responded and winked at Sally. The two sisters shared a knowing smile as Karen entered the apartment." We've moved all of the furnature away from the center of the living room so you guys can have your boxing lesson here, " Sally said. " It' ll be more......intimate than in a public gym ". They both put on their boxing gloves and Sally laced them up. She then tied Karen's long blond hair back into a ponytail and they were ready. They stood face - to - face, Bob and athletic six foot, 200 pound man and Karen a five foot four inch,120 pound girl. " O.K. Karen, it's time for your boxing lesson ". Karen smiled at Sally and said," I'm looking forward to it ". Bob stood before her and put up his gloves. " Let's see what you've learned so far ". Quick as a wink, Karen threw out a straight left jab connecting with his jaw. It was so fast that he never even saw it, but he sure felt it. " Oooops, sorry about that ", Karen giggled. Bob shook it off and smiled, " that was very good . But I wasn't really expecting it. Let's try it again ". He assumed a more cautious stance this time. Karen faked her jab again causing Bob to move his guard. She then shot a solid right cross to his nose and followed it up with a left hook to the side of his face. Angry, Bob tried to counter with a left hook of his own but Karen easily ducked under it and landed a solid right into his unprotected stomach. It took Bob several seconds to recover from that. When he did, Karen laughed, " you don't have to take it easy on me just because I'm a girl. Why don't we try to box for real and see where I need to improve ". She looked over at Sally and winked...Sally's plan was working. Karen and Bob squared off again, this time Bob's complacency was gone. He was about to enter the " toughest man in the state" contest. What chance could he possibly have if he couldn't even outbox this 16 year old girl ? Bob threw several jabs at Karen, all of which she blocked. As she danced gracefully in front of him, she began to tease, " come on big boy, surely you can do better than this ". Angry, Bob threw a hard right hook which she ducked under again and countered with a lightning quick combonation of punches to his mid - section. A right uppercut to his jaw sent the larger man staggering backwards. " Boy, I'm sure enjoying this boxing lesson, " she giggled and added, " this is good practice for me - next week I fight for the school boxing championship ". So furious was Bob that he didn't even realize that he had been set up. All he could think of doing now was beating this cockey 16 year old girl into submission. He attacked her with everything he had. Karen comely blocked or avoided his wild blows while waiting for an opening which she could take advantage of. She didn't have long to wait. After another errant blow left him wide open, Karen countered with many lightning fast punches to Bob's body. " Gee Bobby, you really should try to protect yourself better.....you're way too easy to hit, tee, hee, hee ". Again and again Bob attacked, only to have his blows blocked by the ever increasingly self - confident Karen. She moved with the grace of a ballet dancer and her punches seemed to be taking an ever increasing toll on Bob. His false confidence in his exaggerated boxing abilities blinded him to the fact that he was being completely outclassed by Sally's beautiful sister. As the fight wore on, her complete superiority over him became more and more apparent. " Oh Bobby, you make such a lovely punching bag, tee, hee ". By now Karen had blackened Bob's right eye, bloodied his nose, and given him numerous welts all over his body. From time to time she would glance across the room at her sister with a quizzical look; Sally would just nod. " I know this hurts, honey ", she said to herself, " but it's for your own good ". Karen had backed Bob into a corner and was pounding him at will ". Bob was completely defenseless, meekly covering his face with his hands; battered by a 16 year old girl. Again, Karen looked across at Sally, again Sally nodded. Karen then sent a hard punch straight into Bob's unprotected gut. As he dropped his hands she reared back and landed a solid right cross to his jaw; sending Bob, the ' toughest man in the state ' , into dreamland. Sally approached her sister and smiled, " not bad, sis, not bad at all ". They shared a sisterly giggly over Bob's unconcious frame. " How will you deal with his shattered ego, Sally ? ", Karen asked. " Oh, leave that to me, little sister ", she answered with a wink; " I owe you one ". " You sure do, big sister...and don't think I 'll ever forget ". Sally walked Karen out. " You will tell him I'm sorry about this ", Karen said. " I really like Bob, he will make a great brother - in - law ". " Yes, he sure will ", Sally agreed. " And don't worry about this little ' incident ', he'll be all right, it's a lesson he needed to learn. Thanks, and good luck with your boxing match. Who are you fighting, by the way ? " Karen laughed, " oh, just some football player. I don't expect too much of a problem, it should be fun though ". Again they shared a sisterly giggle before saying their goob - byes. One Hour Later Bob lay on the couch, trying to come to terms with what had happened. There he was, a serious contender for the title of the ' toughest man in the state '; now he lay on the couch, battered by a 16 year old girl. Sally sat down next to him and applied some cold compresses to his swollen face. " She kicked my ass ", he said glumly. " Yes, I know ", Sally replied softly. " A 16 year old girl, beat me up...and giggled the whole time ". Sally sighed. Bob, I love you just the way you are. I 've always loved you...and always will. You don't have to impress me by being the biggest, best, or toughest. Just be you, the way you are, that's the Bob I fell in love with in the first place, long before this whole boxing business began". She kissed his swollen lips and they embraced. Sally rose from the couch and put her strong arms under him. Seemingly without effort, she raised her sadder - but - wiser boyfriend up and began to carry him off towards the bedroom.
