Never Hire a Man to do a Job that a Woman can do Better By M.C. A town in the Wild West discovers that if a tough man can’t bring them law and order, hire a tougher woman to do it. 1) The Female Sheriff Janet Wilson finished brushing her long, pretty brown hair and rose from her desk. The six foot-three inch, 220 pound (190 cm and 100 kilogram) muscular woman grabbed her gun belt which held two colt 45 pistols in the holsters and strapped it on around her waist. Then she donned her cowboy hat, left the sheriff's office and began to make her evening rounds. It had been one month since the mayor and citizens of Crystal Springs, in desperation, hired her to be their sheriff in the hopes that she might be able to do what none of the male sheriffs before her had succeeded in doing - bring law and order to their wild and unruly town. And in that time the strong, tough woman did exactly that - she singlehandedly 'tamed the town'. With a combination of her lightning fast draw and mighty fists, Janet brought all of the bad elements that had plagued the town for years to heel. And as she walked through the town's now peaceful streets and greeted it's grateful citizens, the mighty female sheriff reflected on all of the events that had transpired since she first arrived and became their sherrif. 2) One Month Earlier It was a warm and dusty day when the large brunette rode her horse into the town of Crystal Springs. After watering her steed, she brought it over to the livery stable to be cared for. Janet then asked the man in charge of the stable where she could find the town hall. After he pointed it out to her, she made her way over there for her job interview to become the town's new sheriff. But first Janet would have to convince all the members of the town council that she, a woman, could succeed where no man before her could not. Fortunately for Janet however, she knew how to go about doing that; just like she had done previously in the last town she tamed. Janet grinned as she recalled the first meeting that she had with that town's council when she introduced herself. There was a very large and tough man who was adamantly opposed to having a female sheriff. Because he was the town bully and everyone was intimidated by him, his opinion carried a lot of weight. Janet calmly walked over to where he was sitting, grabbed him firmly by his shirt with her left hand and lifted him up - not only up from the chair that he was sitting on, but completely off the floor so that his legs were dangling a few inches above it! Then, with her free right hand, the muscular woman began to slap him back and forth across the face. "So, you don't think that a woman can handle the job of sheriff here, eh big boy? Well how about I use a little 'feminine persuasion' with you and maybe I can convince you to think otherwise?" SLAP! CRACK! SLAP! CRACK! SLAP! CRACK! When Janet finally released him, the large man crumpled to the floor in tears. She then looked at the rest of the stunned town council and put her hands on her ample hips. "Now, is there anyone else here who has a problem with me being your sheriff?" Needless to say that after what they had just seen Janet do, no one dared to speak a word against her. Two months later, after Janet had cleaned up the town and brought law and order to the citizens there, the powerful woman bid the grateful townspeople a fond farewell (including the large man that she had first slapped around and then forced to become her sex-slave for the period she was the sheriff - after all, even a strong, tough woman needs a little fun and relaxation after a hard day of work). Then she headed off for the next town that was in need of powerful female sheriff to put their house in order. 3) The Test Unlike the other Western towns that she had tamed, in Crystal Springs Janet found a kindred soul - a female mayor. "Welcome to Crystal Springs, Janet," the mayor greeted her when the large woman entered the town hall. "I've heard so many wonderful things about you and I hope that you can help us here in Crystal Springs. My name is Carol by-the-way." They shook hands and Janet was impressed by the strength of Carol's grip. Not nearly as strong as hers would have been had she have squeezed with all of her strength, but strong nevertheless. "Why thank you Carol," Janet replied, still somewhat surprised to encounter a female mayor in a Western town. "I'll certainly try to do my best." Her response was met with a grin. "I'm sure that you will Janet. In fact just by looking at you, I KNOW that you will." Janet and Carol gazed at each other for a few moments and then, almost simultaneously, they smiled. A few more moments of silence followed before Carol broke the quiet. "Come Janet, let me introduce you to the rest of the town council." The meeting with the town council went exactly as Janet had expected it would with the chauvinistic men all casting doubts about her ability to bring law and order to their town. They grudgingly agreed to have a female mayor but that was only because no man in town was willing to take the job and Carol was the only one brave enough to try. But a female sheriff? No way. Experience had taught Janet that in order to be a successful sheriff, she would first have to win over the confidence of the townspeople and prove to them that she was indeed the right woman for the job. Out of respect for Carol however, Janet didn't think that it would have been appropriate for her to take the toughest man in town and slap him around like she had done in her previous town. But a demonstration of her abilities was still necessary; so she went with plan "B". Janet led the six men on the town council out into the street and asked for six empty bottles of beer to be placed on the ground to the side of each of them. Then she walked about twenty paces in front of them, turned around and had another bottle placed on the ground next to her. "O.K. boys, here's what we're going to do. When Cathy says draw, we'll all draw our guns, you aim for my bottle and I'll aim for yours. Let's see if you can outdraw me. Fair enough?" All six of the men agreed that it was. The scene was now set. Janet, with her two holstered colt 45s faced off against six men, some of whom considered themselves to be fast draws. A tense moment or two of silence followed - and then they heard their mayor shout out "DRAW!" BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! In what seemed like just a blink of an eye, the beautiful brunette drew her guns and blasted all six of the men's bottles to smithereens before any of them even managed to get their guns out of their holsters! Had it have been a real gunfight, all six of them would now be lying dead on the ground. But fortunately for them, it was just a demonstration. "Well boys," Janet said with a grin as she holstered her guns, "do you still think that I can't do the job?" Needless to say no one said another word. Janet and Carol smiled at each other again, and the sheriff's job was hers. Janet and Carol spent the rest of that day together as the mayor helped get her new sheriff settled in and familiarized her with the town and all of the problems they have - problems that no male sheriff, no matter how tough he thought he was, was able to bring under control. In the end she showed Janet her office, the jail cells and the adjacent room with a large bed inside. Before she left, Carol said to the large, strong woman, "I really hope that you can bring law and order to my town Janet. Because, quite frankly, you may be the last hope that we have." The beautiful brunette responded by smiling and said, "Don't worry Carol, with me as your sheriff the job is as good as done." 4) Janet Deals with some Cattle Rustlers It wasn't very long before Janet faced her first challenge as the sheriff of Crystal Springs. A gang of cattle rustlers had moved into the territory and began to steal cattle from the local ranchers and then sell them on the black market. And as the ranches were located within her jurisdiction, it therefore fell upon her to deal with the situation. Carol approached Janet as she was hitching up a team of horses to a large wagon and asked her how she intended to deal with the rustlers. "It's really rather simple Carol," Janet calmly replied. "I intend to track them all down and capture these rustlers and bring them to justice; just like I've done several other times in towns when problems like this arise." "But don't you want me to help organize a posse of men to assist you in tracking these rustlers down? I mean, they're probably very tough men and, no doubt, very well armed. I certainly don't mean to question your abilities Janet, but do you really think that you'll be able to handle this situation all by yourself?" Janet met Carol's question with a cryptic grin. "Ms. Mayor," the large, strong woman said as she climbed onto the wagon, "if there's one thing that I've learned from my experience of being a female sheriff in the Wild West, it's that you should never send a man to do a woman's job. If she wants something done correctly, then she should do it herself." Janet then winked at her new friend and added, "You needn't worry about me Carol. I'm a big girl and can take care of myself." The brave female sheriff then rode off in search of the cattle rustlers. And as she watched her ride off, Carol sighed. It couldn't have been more than three hours later when Janet rode back into Crystal Springs. And except for her long, brown hair being slightly mussed, the large, beautiful woman looked more or less exactly as she did when she left. There was, however, one difference - in the back of the wagon there were five large and tough looking men; all of whom were badly beaten up. As Janet yanked the battered rustlers off the wagon and dragged them into the sheriff's office where she tossed them into jail cells, she smiled at the stunned mayor and said with a giggle, "I'll say this about being a sheriff in Wild West Carol, it sure does keep a girl in good shape. Tee, hee, hee." After Janet 'took care' of the rustlers, she had a few days of relative peace and quiet (aside from some rowdy drunks that she had to punch out to keep them in line), and then the cowboys came to town. "After they finish their round-up, the cowboys all come into town to celebrate," Carol told Janet. "They get drunk and then begin to whoop it up. Then all hell breaks loose and it's all but impossible to contain them." The muscular sheriff's response to her friend when she heard Carol say this was to simply say, "Impossible you say? Well, we'll just have to see about that; won't we?" 5) The Rowdy Cowboys come to Town It was a Wednesday night and Janet and Carol were sitting in her sheriff's office listening to the loud sounds of the cowboys coming from the saloon. Carol was brushing Janet's long, beautiful brown hair (their friendship had blossomed since Janet arrived). "It's nine o'clock, Janet," Carol said. "And because it's a Wednesday night, all loud noises have to cease now so that people can get to sleep." Janet smiled at her new friend. "I know Carol. I read the ordinance to the trail boss and his men when they first rode into town. I also impressed upon them that as the sheriff here, it is therefore my responsibility to enforce the law; and that's something that I have every intention of doing." Janet then glanced up at the clock on the wall. "I'll give them until nine-fifteen to comply with the ordinance. That way you can finish brushing my hair. And if by then they haven't quieted down I'll go over to the saloon and straighten them out." Nine-fifteen came and went and, if anything, the sounds coming from the saloon got even louder. As Carol had finished brushing Janet's hair, the large, strong woman rose from the chair that she was sitting on and said in a surprisingly calm tone of voice, "Well Carol, it looks like the cowboys are ignoring my warning; doesn't it? I guess that means that I have a little bit of work ahead of me this evening." Then she grinned at the mayor and added, "Care to come along and watch?" "I'd love to Janet," she replied. "But there must be at least ten rough, tough cowboys in the saloon now. How are you, just one woman, going to be able to take them all on at once?" The muscular sheriff smiled and playfully pinched Carol on the cheek and said, "Just watch me." She then strapped on her gun belt (which she sincerely hoped that she wouldn't have to use), fluffed up her long, pretty, neatly brushed brown hair and opened the door. "Shall we go Carol?" The two women walked out of the sheriff's office and began to make their way over to the saloon. When they reached the saloon, Janet turned to her friend and said, "I Think that it would be much better if you waited out here Carol while I go inside and confront them. Things might get a little bit messy in there and I wouldn't want you to get hurt. You can watch everything through the outside window. But please don't stand next to the swivel doors at the entrance. I wouldn't want you to be hit by any flying cowboys." Carol was perplexed by Janet's warning. "Flying cowboys? What do you mean by that?" Janet grinned at her friend and simply said, "You'll find out soon enough." Then she winked and entered the saloon. As Carol anxiously waited on the outside of the saloon and peered inside through the window, she saw her friend facing ten large, tough and drunk cowboys. Amazingly, Janet appeared to be quite calm and relaxed as she confronted them. "I read the town ordinance to you boys regarding how you're to conduct yourselves here during the middle of the week when you first arrived which clearly states that there shall be no loud noises after nine p.m. And as the sheriff of this town, it is my responsibility to enforce the law. As it's nearly nine-thirty now, I'm afraid that you're either going to have to quiet down or return to your ranch and come back on Friday or Saturday night. And if you should you refuse to comply, then I'll have no other choice other than to teach you all a good lesson." It must have looked surreal to Carol as she observed the scene that was now unfolding before her. One single woman was confronting ten large and tough men - and not showing even a trace of fear as she did! To the contrary, as the cowboys converged around her Janet seemed to be quite relaxed about the situation that she found herself in. "I see that you boys want to do this the hard way. Very well then, so be it." What happened next had to be seen to be believed. In fact Carol, who witnessed the entire fight, still can't quite believe what she saw. Janet managed to beat up all ten of the tough cowboys by herself (Carol loved the way Janet's beautiful hair was swishing around while she punched them out). She also understood why Janet had warned her not to stand in front of the saloon's swivel doors as several of the cowboys did indeed come flying out after being punched by the powerful woman. At one point in the middle of the fight Janet even managed to look over at Carol and blow her a kiss while she was battering the totally outclassed men all around the saloon. It couldn't have been more than ten minutes before every one of the cowboys were lying, battered and beaten, on the saloon's floor - except for the two that came flying out and are now lying, unconscious in the street. Janet deliberately left the trail boss for last, only punching him lightly during the fight so that she could have a little chat with him after she finished with the rest of his men. She dragged the battered cowboys out of the saloon and stacked them in a neat pile in the street; then turned her attention to their boss. With her left hand, the mighty woman lifted him up by his shirt collar and carried him outside. While holding the petrified boss completely up in the air, Janet gave him a stern lecture on how she expected him and his men to behave whenever they came into town. She concluded by saying, "And if your men ever misbehave in my town again, then the next beating I give them will be a lot worse than this one. Did I make myself clear tough guy?" After the once proud trail boss meekly said yes, Janet cocked back her right fist, smiled and said, "Pleasant dreams. I'm putting you to beddie-by now." WHAM! And with a mighty uppercut to his jaw, Janet sent the large man flying. He landed on the top of the pile of his battered men; just as she had intended. After she finished beating up the cowboys, Janet couldn't resist the urge to take a victory pose. She stood in front of the pile of battered men, flexed her awesome, eighteen-inch biceps and smiled at Carol. "There, I don't think these naughty cowboys will be giving us any more trouble tonight, or any other night for that matter." Then she giggled and added, "I taught them a pretty good lesson tonight, didn't I? Tee, he, hee." "I couldn't agree with you more Janet," Carol replied. "You were totally awesome! You singlehandedly beat up ten of the roughest, toughest cowboys in the entire territory. And your beautiful hair is hardly even mussed. It's just as soft and fluffy as it was right after I finished brushing it in your office." Although Janet is incredibly strong and tough when she needs to be, she also has a softer and feminine side to her as evidenced by her propensity to giggle a lot and make a fuss about her hair. "I often feel that I'm just a little girl trapped inside this amazingly strong body of mine," she told Carol. "And sometimes I don't know which one to be." "Well it looks like my work here is done tonight Carol. Let's go back to my office and get into the bed so that we can do some serious cuddling. After all, there's nothing like punching out a bunch of rough, tough, cowboys to put a girl in a sexy mood." Arm in arm the two women left the saloon and the pile of battered cowboys and walked back to Janet's sheriff's office. 6) The Gunfight Although Janet can draw her two colt 45s with blinding speed and shoot them with pinpoint accuracy, she really prefers not to have to use them. The large, muscular woman much prefers to deal with her opponents by simply using her mighty fists instead. "That way, although men do get hurt by my fists, I've never killed a man with a punch," she explained to Carol. "And I hope that I never do." But unfortunately, being a sheriff in the Wild West (female or otherwise) occasionally does require the use of guns, as happened about a week after she beat up the cowboys. It was a fairly quiet afternoon and Janet, after making her rounds to see that everything in town was O.K., was relaxing in her office 'girl-talking' with Carol. Since she first arrived in Crystal Springs, Janet's relationship with Carol had blossomed into a full-fledged liaison. Both women were strong and assertive (in the case of Janet, VERY strong) who went very much against grain of what society thought a woman should be like in the highly chauvinistic world of the 1800s. And because of this, men found females like them to be very intimidating. But it wasn't in the nature of either one of them to kowtow to men simply because they didn't fit into their chauvinistic attitudes of what a woman should be. Consequently, neither Janet or Carol felt any reason to be subservient to men. But as kindred spirits, they did find a great deal of comfort each other's company. All of a sudden gunshots were heard coming from somewhere outside which was then followed by the sound of people screaming. Janet quickly got up from her chair and strapped on her gun belt. After checking to see that her two colt 45s were fully loaded, she looked at her friend and said with a frown, "Well, so much for our quiet and peaceful afternoon Carol. I guess it's time for me to go back to work." Then she opened the front door and stepped out into the street. Janet soon realized that the shots that they heard had come from the town's bank and it didn't take a genius to figure out that a robbery was taking place. By the time she reached the bank, six robbers, all of whom were holding bags loaded with cash, were running out towards their horses. "Good afternoon," the brave woman calmly said as she confronted them on the street. "I see that you boys have just made a withdrawal at our bank. Care to return the money and come with me? I have some nice, comfy jail cells that are waiting for you." As she was just one woman facing six men, they dropped the bags of cash and prepared to draw their guns against her. Janet felt the need to at least warn them about the consequences of what they were about to do; if only to relieve the guilt she would feel if she had to gun them all down. "Drawing your guns on me would be a big mistake boys," the beautiful brunette said. "Perhaps even a fatal one. Therefore, I do wish that you would reconsider this line of action because it won't end well; for you that is." As she expected, the six bank robbers, facing a single woman, laughed as they lined up against her and prepared to draw their guns. Janet's response was to sigh and say, "Very well boys, have it your way. But don't say that you weren't warned." A surreal moment of tense silence followed. And then, as if on cue, all six men went for their guns. But unfortunately for them, it would be the last thing that any of them would ever do. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! And just as she had done against the town council earlier, Janet, with her incredible fast draw, easily outdrew all of the gunmen. But unlike then when Janet simply shot up the empty beer bottles, this time her bullets were deadly as she sent the six bank robbers on a one way trip to hell. And when the smoke cleared, they were all lying dead on the ground.. As the mighty woman holstered her lethal guns, she began to hear the cheers of the grateful townspeople who had just witnessed her amazing display of speed and marksmanship (or markswomanship). "Finally," they must have been saying to themselves, "we have a sheriff who can actually protect us from all of the bad elements that had been making our lives miserable for so long - like the rustlers, the cowboys, and now, the bank robbers. Finally we have a strong, tough sheriff who can keep law and order in our town; who also happens to be a beautiful woman!" Everyone in the town was cheering now - everyone, that is, except Janet. As she gazed down at the six men that she had just killed that were lying on the street in front of her, the powerful woman couldn't help feeling ambivalent about what she had just done. Yes, it was her job to stop the bank robbers and protect the townspeople and their hard earned money. And yes, she did warn them not to draw their guns on her but, unwisely, they ignored her warning and drew on her anyway and suffered the fatal consequences for it. But still, six men who, not two minutes earlier were alive, are dead now because of her lightning fast draw. Although she may be a superwoman, Janet was still very much a woman in every sense of the word. Only Carol seemed to understand what her powerful friend was feeling at this moment. And as the undertaker arrived with his crew and began to load the bodies of the six dead men onto his wagon and take them out to the cemetery for burial, Carol took Janet by the hand and led her back to the sheriff's office for some quiet reflection. 7) Just another typical day of work for a female sheriff in the Wild West A week after she gunned down the bank robbers, Janet was confronted with another problem that she needed to address. Billy was the son of a man called Jake who was the richest man in Crystal Springs. Carol had warned Janet about Jake when she first arrived. That he was a rich and arrogant man with a vicious temper and was used to always getting his way. And, in addition to that, he employed several tough men whose job it was to intimidate his business rivals or anybody else who got in his way. In other words, Jake was a bully and his son Billy was definitely following in his father's footsteps. That day several of the girls in the town came into Janet's sheriff office and complained to her and Carol that Billy was harassing them. After they finished, Janet told them not to worry and that she would 'take care' of the problem that very day. "What are you going to do Janet?" Carol asked after the girls had left. "I intend to deal with this problem the way I always have when it comes to bullies. I plan to teach Billy a lesson that he will never forget and put an end to his harassment once and for all." When Carol asked her friend how she planned to go about doing that, the strong woman simply smiled and said, "Watch." Janet invited Billy to come into her office so that she could have a private little 'chat' with him. Although Billy was a very big and strong guy (his nickname in the town was, not surprisingly, Billy the Bully), he was no match for the muscular woman sheriff. First Janet lifted him completely off the floor with her left hand and, just like she had done with the bully in her previous town, slapped him back and forth across the face with her right. After a good slapping she dragged him over to a chair, sat down and yanked him over her knees. Then she pulled his pants down to the knees and proceeded to give him a good spanking. As Billy was only eighteen years old, Janet felt that punching him out wouldn't be appropriate. A slapping and spanking followed by a stern lecture should suffice in convincing him of the error of his ways. After spanking Billy to tears, Janet gave him a stern lecture on how she expected him to behave from then on. First, he was to apologize to all of the girls that he had been harassing and promise never to do it again. Then, in order to teach him responsibility, he was to work in the livery stable for one month. Failure to do so would result in another spanking. And if he was a good boy and behaved himself, Janet promised that no one outside of Carol and him and her would ever know what she did to him in her office that day; it would be their little secret. And that's where the story should have ended, but it didn't. For Billy went home and immediately told his father what Janet did to him (but he neglected to mention to his father what he had done to deserve Janet's decision to punish him in the first place). Enraged upon hearing this, Jake went out and got three of the strongest and toughest men (thugs actually) that worked for his company and, with Billy in tow, stormed over to Janet's office to avenge his son's humiliation. When Jake, his son and his thugs entered Janet's office they found the large, muscular woman sitting in a chair with Carol standing behind her, brushing Janet's long, beautiful brown hair. Carol stopped when the men entered. Furious with rage, Jake began to scream at Janet for what she did to his son; he also threatened her. Janet remained calm and seated throughout his entire tirade. But when Jake finished, she rose from the chair and said, "Well Jake, it looks to me like being rude to females is a family trait with you and your son. Didn't anybody ever tell you that it's bad manners to disturb a girl while she getting her hair brushed?" Then Janet looked at Carol and winked. "It looks like I also need to teach Billy's father and his thugs a good lesson too today." Ten minutes later Jake and his three thugs were lying in a pile on the floor - battered, beaten and just barely conscious. Janet, by contrast, didn't have so much as a single mark or scratch on her. She looked over at Billy who, after what he had just seen this amazing woman do, was literally shaking with fear in the far corner of her office. "By right Billy you deserve to get another good slapping and spanking for this. But I'm going to let you off easy and just force you to watch what I'm about to do to your father and his goons. But I'd better see your eyes on me at all times - or else! Did I make myself clear?" Janet reached down and grabbed one of the large, tough and badly beaten men that Jake had brought with him by his shirt and dragged him over to the chair that she had been sitting on when they entered her office. She sat down on it and yanked him over her knees, pulled down his pants and proceeded to give him a hard spanking. She then repeated the spankings for the other two thugs; saving Jake for last. And while the mighty woman was spanking the rough, tough men to tears, Carol resumed brushing Janet's beautiful hair. As she did, the two women giggled with each other. After Janet finished spanking Jake, she forced him, his son and his thugs to stand up against the wall. "Now, listen to me carefully," Janet said as she stood before them with her hands on her hips. "I could toss you all in jail for what you boys tried to do here today. But because I'm in a good mood I'm going to let you off with just the beating and spanking that I gave you. But if you ever try to pull a stunt like this again, then the next beating and spanking I give you will be far worse that this one. Is that clear?" All of the beaten men bowed their heads men nodded. "Good. Now, this is what you're going to do. You're all going to go home and for the rest of the day reflect on how you can become better citizens. Tomorrow at twelve noon, you're to come back here and we're going to discuss what you've decided; and I wouldn't be late if you know what's good for you." Then Janet turned to Billy. "You're excused from coming to tomorrow's meeting because you'll be working at the livery stable and apologizing to all the girls that you've been harassing. And you'd better do it because I will be checking up to see that you do." Satisfied that she had punished them enough and that they had all understood her message, Janet sent the chastised and humiliated men on their way. After they left, Janet looked at Carol and smirked. "Just another typical day of work for a female sheriff in the Wild West." 8) Epilogue "You were so wonderful Janet," Carol said admiringly when she and the mighty sheriff were alone again. "You're so strong, so dominant, and so masterful. You can force even the strongest and toughest men to bend to your will as if they were nothing more than little boys." The powerful woman replied with a girlish giggle, "You mean naughty little boys, don't you? Tee, hee, hee." Overcome with awe, Carol embraced her amazing girlfriend. And as she did so, Carol felt herself being lifted up off the floor and gently cradled in Janet's muscular arms. Janet then carried Carol into the adjoining room and placed her down on the bed. "You really are an amazing woman," Carol said as Janet laid down next to her. "In the short time that you've been here, you singlehandedly cleaned up our town and brought law and order to us all; something that no man could ever have done." The powerful female sheriff put her massive arms around her friend and snuggled up close to her. "It's like I told you before sweetie pie, never send a man to do woman's job."
