Ann Walker, Female Super-Agent By M.C. A day in the life of a female super-secret agent 10:00 a.m. The large and very well built (but also very attractive) woman with pretty long dark hair entered the liquor store and approached the man standing behind the cash register. "Can I help you ma'am?" the cashier asked (she couldn't help but notice that he seemed a little bit nervous, probably intimidated by her size, as most men are). "Yes honey. I'd like a fifth of Johnny Walker Blue Label and a box of chocolates please." The cashier looked at her in silence for a moment, then asked," will that be cash or charge?" "Why cash of course. I always pay in cash on a warm, sunny day." "Yes, it is indeed a sunny day today." "But they say it might rain on Friday though." Satisfied that she had answered with the correct codewords, the cashier then reached into a drawer and took out a small envelope. He got her the Jonny Walker and chocolates that she requested and put the two items plus the envelope into a bag That'll be $43.50." The large woman opened her purse and handed him a $50 bill. "Keep the change honey," she said as she put the bag with the envelope in her purse. Then she took a long, hard look at the cashier. "What's your name handsome?" "Err, Ron, Ron Johnson." "And my name is Ann, Ann Walker, pleased to meet your acquittance Ron Johnson. She held out her hand and Ron shook it (he was amazed at the strength of her grip). After a pause Ann asked, "and what time do you finish work today Ron?" "My shift ends at five this afternoon. Why do you ask?" "Oh, I was just curious." She then winked and added with a grin, "perhaps I'll see you again later." Ann then turned around and walked out of the liquor store. She got into her car and turned on the ignition. But before driving away she glanced through the store window and noticed that Ron was still staring at her. She smiled, blew him a kiss, and then off she went. 10:30 a.m. Ann pulled her car up to a secluded spot overlooking the Pacific Ocean in La Holla, California (located just a little bit north of San Diego) and turned off the engine. After making sure that there was nobody else in the vicinity, she opened the small package that Ron had given her which contained a USB flash-drive. Ann reached into the briefcase in the back seat, took out her laptop computer, turned it on and put in the flash-drive. After a few seconds a male voice began to speak: "Good day agent Walker. I hope this message finds you in good health." Then a picture appeared on her laptop screen. "This is Juan Gonzalez, the notorious head of the Gonzales drug cartel. We believe they are responsible for importing hundreds of millions of dollars of illegal narcotics into the United States. We have recently received reliable information from our secret source that a large shipment of drugs may be on their way on a fishing trawler sometime this afternoon in the San Diego area. It will be arriving on this boat (a picture of the trawler now appeared on her laptop screen). Your mission agent Walker, is to intercept that shipment and wipe out any members of the drug cartel that you find onboard the ship. On behalf of the Organization, I wish you the best of luck. This flash-drive will self-destruct in fifteen seconds." Ann removed the flash-drive from her laptop, rolled down the window of her car and tossed it outside. Several seconds later it vaporized. Ann then started up the car and drove back to her hotel. 11:00 a.m. Ann Walker looked down at the array of weapons and other devices (the tools of her trade) that were spread out on the bed of her hotel room. She had to decided which ones she would need for her mission and which ones were superfluous. The two Beretta 9mm pistols were, of course, an absolute necessity - no girl should be without them - as were the two extra magazines of bullets, each of which holds 15 rounds. "That's 60 rounds," Ann thought, "that should be more than enough." She also took her razor-sharp Leatherman which is excellent for slicing a person's throat should the need arise (let's not forget the profession Ann is in). Because it will be a sea exercise and stealth will undoubtably be required, she also decided to take along a diving mask and snorkel, plus a GPS device and a pair of binoculars. Ann packed all of the items into a black, waterproof backpack and then added two small boxes weighing about two pounds each. "There," she said to herself. "I guess I'm about as ready as I'll ever be." Dressed in a pair of black training pants with an accompanying black sweatshirt, the large woman (Ann stood five-feet ten inches tall and weighed in at an extremely fit 160 pounds) put on the backpack and left the hotel. 11:30 a.m. Ann drove into the parking lot of the kayak rental shop on the beach in La Holla, parked and entered the rental office. "Hello," she greeted the receptionist with a smile. "My name is Ann Walker and I believe I reserved a one-person kayak from 11:30 until four this afternoon. Is that correct?" "Yes you did ma'am," the girl at the counter replied. "Would you like to take it now?" "That would be wonderful. It's such a beautiful day to go kayaking isn't it? "Yes, indeed it is." She led Ann to the dock where the single person kayaks were moored. "Choose the one you like." "Hmmm, I think I'll take the blue one over there. Blue is my favorite color. Is there a penalty if I should return it a little bit late?" "We usually give you a twenty minute reprieve to return the kayak. After that I afraid we'll have to charge you for an additional hour." "Sounds fair to me. I'll try to make it back in time. Thank you for your help." "No problem. Enjoy your kayaking." Ann smiled and said, "Thank you, I'm sure I will." She then sat down on the kayak's seat and using strong, masterful strokes that totally amazed the office girl who was watching (who herself had been a competitive kayak racer) began to paddle out into the Pacific Ocean. 12:30 p.m. After about an hour of serious kayaking during which Ann had paddled out over five miles, ("Boy, being a secret agent sure keeps a girl in shape," she giggled to herself) she stopped, took out her binoculars and began to scan the ocean. "Hmmm, that looks exactly like the fishing trawler I saw on my computer screen. It must be them. They're no doubt waiting for nightfall so that they can approach the shore undetected. It looks like it's time to go to work girl." The strong woman then donned her diving mask and snorkel, place the GPS device in the kayak (in case the kayak drifted away in the ocean current) dove into the sea and began swimming towards the trawler which was located about a mile away. Because Ann had to avoid being detected by the lookouts on the trawler, she had to swim almost completely underneath the surface of the water with only the top of her snorkel exposed, an object too small to be seen from the boat. But despite this handicap, the well-trained woman still managed to make pretty good time. 1:00 p.m. Ann did indeed reach the fishing trawler undetected and grabbed onto its wooden hull. The question for her now was, how should she, a lone woman, attack and overpower the entire crew - the number of which she was unsure of - who were, undoubtably, tough, battle hardened and extremely well-armed men? "This is where you earn your paycheck girl," she said to herself with remarkable calmness. Using her extensive rock-climbing skills, Ann was easily able to scale up the side of the boat by taking advantage of the various nooks and crannies she found in its wooden hull. When she reached the top, Ann poked her head over the side. There she saw two lookouts armed with AK-47s having a cigarette break and not paying much attention to their surroundings. "Careless," she thought to herself. "Well that's going to cost you." Ann quietly lifted herself up over the side of the boat and silently crept up behind the unsuspecting lookouts. When she stood directly behind them, the powerful woman wrapped one of her arms around each of their necks. "Didn't anybody ever tell you boys that smoking is hazardous to your health," Ann whispered as strangled them, then gently lowered their lifeless bodies to the deck so as not to alert the other members of the crew. Ann then took off her backpack and opened it, took out her Berettas and the two extra magazines plus the small boxes and said, "O.K. girl, it's time to kick some butt." With the only two people aware of her presence on the trawler dead, the element of surprise was still on Ann's side, an advantage she would need as Ann still had no idea how many men she would be facing. She knew she had to act quickly, and quickly she acted. The extremely well-trained agent approached what appeared to be a locked door. She heard voices coming from the inside and the sound of cards shuffling. "Passing time until dark, no doubt," Ann said to herself (as Ann always works alone, you may have noticed that she tends to talk to herself a lot). Fortunately, the door was made of wood which facilitated things for her. With a fully loaded Beretta primed and ready in each hand, the strong woman lifted up her right leg and CRASH!, smashed in the door. "Sorry to disturb your card game boys," she said as she began firing at the half-dozen men sitting around a large table, "but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do." BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! An expert marksman (or markswoman in this case), Ann gunned down the six men sitting at the table in just five seconds! "Well, that's eight down and hopefully not too many more to go." Ann emerged from the room and BAM! BAM! "That's two more baddies on their way to Hell," she mussed. Years of intensive training in martial arts (Ann holds four black belt degrees in various forms of hand-to-hand combat), shooting and extensive physical training like running, swimming rock climbing etc. has turned this 30 year-old woman into a virtually invincible fighting machine, capable of dealing with any situation. This was never more apparent as Ann ran around the trawler gunning down men left and right. After emptying the cartridges of both Berettas, she replaced them in two seconds (a la Lara Croft) and continued firing. In less than two minutes, this amazing woman had gunned down twelve of Juan Gonzalez' finest henchmen. The remaining four members of the drug cartel, along with Juan Gonzalez himself, sought refuge in a sealed room in the belly of the trawler - where their drug cargo was stored - and locked themselves inside. As the door was made of steel, and therefore bullet-proof, Ann quickly moved to plan B. She went up to the top deck and looked around until she found what she was looking for. "Two air ducts, no doubt leading to the sealed room. My, how convenient you guys made this for me," she giggled. Ann took out the two boxes she had packed with her and set the timers (they were, if you haven't guessed it by now, plastic explosives). "I think two minutes should do it." She then dropped one into each of the air ducts. "I hope you boys enjoy your last two minutes of life," Ann hollered down after she let them go. Then she quickly returned to where she'd left her backpack, put it on and, in a perfect swan dive, dove into the ocean. As the powerful woman began to swim away from the doomed trawler (with swim strokes that would make an Olympic champion jealous) she heard cries and screams coming from the inside. This was soon followed by a loud KABOOM!, and then everything went silent. "Well, so much for them," Ann said as she climbed into the kayak. After a brief pause to catch her breath (even a Superwoman needs to catch her breath from time to time) the incredible female agent began to paddle the five miles back to shore. 3:30 p.m. "Welcome back," the girl at the kayak rental shop said when Ann entered the office. "Did you enjoy your day of kayaking?" "Oh yes, I did. Very much in fact. It was a very, hmmm, how should I put this, exhilarating experience." "I noticed that there was some smoke on the horizon which began about an hour ago in the area where you were kayaking. Did you happen see what it was?" "Why yes, I did as a matter of fact. It appeared to be coming from a fishing trawler a few miles away from where I was." "Gee, I hope everything is O.K." Ann, barely managing to suppress a giggle, replied, "I'm sure it will be. As I was returning I saw a Coast Guard vessel racing towards the scene." The girl looked up at the large, extremely fit woman standing before her. "I couldn't help but notice as you were paddling your kayak out to sea earlier how amazing your strokes were. I used to be a competitive kayak racer, but I've never seen anyone paddle like you, woman or man. Do you compete?" Ann grinned. "Thanks for the compliment. But, no I don't compete. I just find kayaking by myself to be a very nice experience, and it keeps a girl in good shape too. Well, good-bye for now, I really do have to get going." "Do you have a date?" "I certainly hope so," Ann replied with a cryptic smile as she walked out the door. 4:00 p.m. Ann entered her hotel room and glanced at her watch. "Good, I still have plenty of time." She unpacked her backpack and took a long, hot shower. When she emerged, the muscular, still naked woman looked herself over in front of the full-length mirror. Twenty years of intensive martial arts and weight training may have transformed her into some sort of 'Superwoman' (a woman able to wipe out an entire drug cartel all by herself), but she was still very much a woman - and at thirty, a rather lonely one at that. "Am I destined to be like this all my life?" she thought to herself. "Is this all there is? Intimidating to every man I meet. Killing bad guys and always coming home to an empty home or hotel room? Will he also be intimidated by me, just like all the others?" Ann sighed and slowly began to dress herself. 5:00 p.m. "Hello there handsome," Ann said as she entered the liquor store. "Remember me?" "Of course I do Ann. You're not exactly the kind of woman one easily forgets. Ann smiled when he said this. "Maybe there's hope for me after all," she thought. "Tell me something Ron, I'm new in town, I just came here to do a bit of work. Where can a girl get a decent steak dinner around here?" "Well, my favorite place in the neighborhood is Charley's Bar and Grill. Their steaks are usually pretty good. I especially like their prime rib. If you like, I can explain to you how to get there." "Actually, I was sort of hoping you'd take me there yourself, if you don't have any other plans that is." "No Ann, I'm free this evening, just like every other evening." Then, after a somewhat lengthy pause, he added, "yes, I'd very much like to take you out to dinner." Just then the television that was mounted on the wall behind the counter (which neither Ron nor Ann had been paying attention to until now) flashed a 'Breaking News' sign. Ron turned up the volume. "We interrupt the regularly scheduled program with this breaking news story: A fishing trawler caught fire about five miles of the coast of La Holla, California around three this afternoon. When the coast guard vessel arrived on the scene, they found the charred remains of seventeen men plus a large cache of heroin and cocaine. One of bodies is believed to be that of Juan Gonzalez, the head of the notorious Gonzales drug cartel. At this time no further details are available." Ron suddenly looked down and Ann's heart began to sink. "He knows," she thought. "He's not stupid. He knows." "That.that was you Ann? You wiped out the entire Gonzalez drug cartel? All by yourself?" Ann sighed. "Yes Ron, it was me." "I figured that after I'd contacted the Organization about the information I received regarding the drug shipment today they would send some agents to deal with it. I just never expected them to send in "The Legend" (over the years Ann had - for reasons that should be obvious by now - acquired quite a reputation as being the most effective agent the Organization ever had. But because of her reputation and prowess, being in her presence can be a very intimidating experience for a man, as Ron was now finding out). "Look Ron," Ann began after an awkward silence, "I know exactly who I am and what I'm capable of. I accepted that a long time ago. Yes, I am a highly trained and very efficient killing machine - but only when I need to be, like earlier today for example. But I'm also a thirty year-old single woman who right now is hungry and would like a good-looking guy to talk to over a nice dinner. So, what do you say Ron? Are you game? I really don't want to eat alone tonight." Ann held her breath for the next several seconds (which seemed like an eternity for her) before she finally heard him say the words that she was so longing to hear. "Yes Ann, I'm hungry too. So go and have some dinner. "Good," she said. "I'll drive." 6:00 p.m. Ann drove Ron to his apartment to change his clothes and then to Charley's Bar and Grill. They entered and found themselves a table in a quiet, secluded corner where they could talk undisturbed. "I want you to know that the Organization is very pleased with your surveillance work Ron. You've supplied us with some very useful information, like today for instance. I could never have hoped to stop that drug shipment and 'take care' of the cartel without your help." "I still can't believe that you singlehandedly wiped out the entire Gonzales drug cartel Ann. You must be an amazing sight to behold. I'd love to see you in action someday." Ann grinned. She had never had this type of conversation with a man before (or anyone else for that matter). "I'm afraid that probably won't happen Ron. First of all because I always work alone, that way I don't have to worry about my partner getting killed or injured. And second because the work I do is almost always top secret. I only told you about the trawler today because you had already figured it out and I didn't want to begin our relationship by being dishonest with you." "Err.our relationship Ann?" "Well yes Ron. You see the Organization is transferring me to its Southern California field of operations. And since you're the best surveillance operative we have in this area - both because of the sources you've established over the years and your computer hacking skills - I'm looking forward to having a long and successful relationship with you." After another rather awkward moment of silence, Ann added, "working relationship that is." "Ann, I have to ask you this. How on earth did you ever become such an amazing agent. I mean your work is indeed legendary. The entire Organization is in awe of you." For the first time in many years the large, powerful woman found herself blushing. Then she began her explanation. "You see Ronnie (it was the first time that she referred to him that way) it's like this: "Both of my parents were agents for the Organization. They're retired now. Like you my father dealt with surveillance and my mom, well, she was the real superstar. An incredibly gifted athlete, she excelled in everything she tried. Running, jumping, swimming, tennis - even boxing and wrestling. You name it and she was an expert at it. It was because of her amazing athletic abilities that the Organization recruited her right after she graduated from university and started her on an intensive training program. "As with sports, my mom soon mastered all the disciplines they taught her. She finished at the top of her class in martial arts, shooting, skydiving, scuba diving, rock climbing among many other things - and she was the only female in her class. She was soon deemed ready to begin active field work. In fact that's where she met my dad, on one of her first assignments. They say it was love at first sight." Ann stopped talking for a few moments and quietly stared at Ron. Then she smiled and continued. "Anyway, just like everything else my mom did, she soon became a super- agent, the best they had. She took a year off from active field work after I was born before returning 'to action' as she liked to call it. For as long as I can remember I so wanted to be like her - a strong, confident, awesome woman. Because of this, my mom started my training at an early age, virtually ever since I was able to walk. And when she was off on an assignment, she always made sure I had the best tutors the Organization had to continue my training." Ann paused again and giggled. "I can still remember when I beat the Organization's top martial arts teacher, I was just fourteen years-old at the time. Tee, hee, hee. By the time I was seventeen I could outfight, outshoot, outrun and outswim everyone in the Organization, everyone except for my mom that is. She could still get the better of me. But as the years went by, she decided that it was getting time to retire from active field work and instead began training new recruits. So, as I was twenty at the time, I was the logical choice to replace her. And I've been doing it ever since - ten years and running. Mmmm, you were quite right Ronnie." "Right about what?" "This prime rib is absolutely delicious! I'm going to just love having you show me around town." 7:00 p.m. Ann and Ron emerged from the restaurant and walked through the parking lot towards Ann's car. But as they approached, they saw a group of four large, tough-looking men loitering around her vehicle. One, the largest of the four, was leaning against the hood. "Would you boys please be so kind as to stand aside so my friend and I can get into my car?" Ann asked in a polite tone of voice. The large man that was leaning against the hood folded his arms and, in a gruff voice, said "You want us to move lady? Move us!" Ann smiled at Ron and calmly said (as she removed her high heels), "Well Ronnie, it looks like you're going to get your wish after all." "What do you mean Ann?" "You wanted to see me in action didn't you? Well now it looks like you're going to." She handed him her purse. "Hold this for a minute. This shouldn't take too long." Then, in a slightly sterner tone said, "and please don't interfere Ronnie, I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Trust me, I got this." Ann reached up and playfully tweaked Ron's nose, then turned around to confront the four large men. "O.K. boys, who wants to be first?" "The first what?" the largest thug asked. "The first to get their ass kicked. Come on boys, don't be shy now. You'll all get your turn." The large man leaning against the hood stood up straight. "Try me girlie." "Very well then, we'll start with you." WHAM! In literally the blink of an eye, Ann whorled around and landed a solid, board-shattering roundhouse kick to the side of his face causing him to spin completely around before falling to the asphalt. Without missing a beat, this amazing woman then kicked the next closest thug hard in the gut and followed that with two hard punches to his jaw. "That's two down and two to go," she giggled. POW! SOCK! THUD! Two solid punches deep into the third thug's stomach plus a hard kick underneath his jaw and he too was down for the count. "Please don't hit me," the fourth and last man standing pleaded. "I'm sorry. We really didn't mean anything. We were just having a little fun." "It wouldn't really be fair to your unconscious friends here if I were to let you off easy now would it honey? And besides, can't a girl have a little bit of fun too?" PUNCH! SMACK! POW! And with that, the fourth thug bit the dust. Although Ann never really likes to show off after a demonstration of her amazing fighting skills, for some reason on this night, she did. The mighty woman walked back to where the first on her victims, the largest of the four, was lying and put her right foot on his chest. Looking over at her stunned new friend, Ann smiled, fluffed up her long, pretty hair, and flexed her muscles. "Did you enjoy the show Ronnie?" Ron was speechless over what he had just witnessed. He heard Ann was good, after all, she wasn't called "The Legend" for nothing. But he couldn't possibly imagine that she was THAT good. It couldn't have taken her more than twenty seconds for her to knock out four tough men - each of whom was larger than she was! "You.you were awesome Ann," he finally managed to say. "Totally awesome!" "Why thank you Ronnie. What a sweet thing to say." Ann walked back to where Ron was standing, put on her high heels and took her purse. "I just had a great idea honey. Let's go back to your apartment and celebrate the beginning of our new relationship. And as fate would have it, I just happen to have a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label and a box of chocolates in the back seat of my car. Sound like a plan?" "Yes Ann, it sounds like a wonderful plan." "Good," she said as she took him by the hand and led him to her car. Before getting in, Ann paused briefly and looked down at the four still-unconscious thugs. "Shush Ronnie," she grinned as she put her index finger to her lips, then added with a girlish giggle, "we don't want to wake up these sleeping beauties do we? Tee, hee, hee." 11:30 p.m. Ann lay on top of Ron in his bed while he gently ran his fingers through her long, beautiful dark hair. After several hours of passionate love-making, both of them were tired (and don't forget that Ann already had a bit of a workout that day before this). And as she lay there, this remarkable woman reflected on the events that had transpired that day. She kayaked five miles out to sea and swam over a mile to the trawler, then she singlehandedly wiped out a notorious drug cartel, swam another mile back to the kayak and then paddled back the five miles to shore. Oh yes, and later she beat up four tough thugs in the parking lot. But the highlight of her day by far was that after years of living a lonely life, this mighty female super-secret agent had finally met a man that she could love and would love her in return. "All things considered," she said to herself, "I think I had a rather good day today."
