Ultra Kid: Hyperstrong Girl of Justice By Jeremy Wilson, rvdfan315@charter.net A pre-teen super heroine uses her strength Dina Blake, a ten year old student at Jackson Elementary, led a strange double life, in the daytime she was an excellent pupil, A’s in every subject she took, especially gym and science, her two favorite classes. At nights however, she took on another persona, Ultra Kid, the pre-teen super heroine who had enormous power and invulnerability. She had been known to defeat the biggest of men, guys over 7 feet tall and weighing over 500 pounds of muscle, in uneven tests of strength, and in turn humiliating them with the knowledge that a girl, under 5 feet tall and not much more than 80 pounds had defeated them with ease. She had not gained her powers the way most of her Superhero idols had, she worked for them. She had lifted weights since she was 2 1/2 years old, using light weights for the first two years, then at 5 years old she had a breakthrough. She discovered that her genetics enabled her to gain strength without gaining much muscle, and the more weight she lifted, the stronger she became. By six, her weight set was incapable of making her stronger, even though it went up to 350 pounds, which meant at six she was already benching close to 400 pounds for reps and making it look easy. At seven, the weights of a normal gym, going up to over 900 pounds were looking like a match stick in her powerful grip. She could no longer work out with those pathetic weights, so she got very good at using other stuff to satisfy her growing strength. She had access to an abandoned construction yard, because her father owned the deed to the land. In the year she worked out there, her strength grew in leaps and bounds. On her 8th birthday she had the body of a normal eight year old, 4'1 about 65 pounds, but those 65 pounds were supercharged with incredible power, the equivalent of 10 of the world's strongest men put together. She had done overhead lifts, in the construction yard, of course, to keep her strength a secret, with everything from Volkswagen beetles to Double Decker buses, weights going up to 10 tons, masses that could only be moved by the strongest of cranes. As she worked out more and more with those kinds of weights, they became lighter and lighter to her and after 3 months of pressing the Double Decker bus she was able to lift it over her head with only one finger. When she turned nine, Dina had discovered that her superstrength had embued her with other powers as well. First she discovered her superspeed, she went running one day and decided to see if she could go faster than a car, and not only did she go faster than the fastest car on the interstate, she discovered if she wanted to she could break the sound barrier. Next she found out her lungs were extremely powerful as well, she discovered this when she blew out a candle on her Grandfather's birthday cake and blew the cake into his face. She didn't stop there though, she kept blowing and her grandfather was blown across the room. "Ooops" she said "I guess I don't know my own strength." Now, everyone in her family knew of her superpowers, so almost 20 seconds after, her 6 year old brother said "Hey, you can be super girl." At first the suggestion was thought to be outrageous and preposterous, but after it took some time to sink in, it was the best idea Dina had heard. So after 2 weeks of making up a superheroine costume and spreading news around town that there was a new hero in town, Dina finally made her presence known. It was 4 months after her 9th birthday that she finally got the recognition she deserved. She had developed super hearing by this time as well and heard a bank alarm go off from 6 blocks away. She took 15 seconds to change into her outfit and raced out the door at over 100 miles an hour, literally, she reached the bank in under 10 seconds. She assessed the situation to find that there were three robbers, all of them over 6'4 and with an average weight of 275 pounds, all three had bodies that a Mr. Olympia contestant would drool over, thin skin, veiny, and above all muscles that Arnold Schwarzenegger never even thought about having. If Dina guessed correct this would be the Power Company, a new bodybuilding criminal organization. The members of this criminal gang had to pass several tests to be in the organization. The minimum bench press was 750 pounds, they were all required to be over 6'3" and 250 pounds of professional class muscle. They also made members try to bend steel bars and the ones that bent the bar the most would get in. This without doubt would be Dina's toughest test to date, each of the robbers were a foot and a half taller than her and weighed at least 175 pounds more than her, and while she had a distinct strength advantage over all three of them, she worried that their skills at fighting and their strategy might cause some problems for her. She guessed that her speed would surprise them enough to take out 1 or 2, but the third could be ready with a gun, and she wasn't sure if she was bulletproof or not. She ran up to them with her superspeed and stopped two inches in front of their faces. The robbers were surprised to see a little girl standing where no one was standing 2 seconds before and she was wearing a weird pink and green outfit that would have been seen in comic books. Then they realized what she was there for but before they had a chance to do anything she knocked the first two robbers heads together so hard and so fast that they were unconscious before they felt anything. Dina was weary of the third man, but everything had happened so fast and silently to him that he was standing with his back to her, still watching if anyone was following them out of the bank. He continued walking backwards until he hit something solid but soft, almost as though there was a padded parking meter or mailbox behind him. He turned around to see a little girl in a super-hero costume with a broad smile on her face as she stood on the chests of his cohorts. She was rising up and down on their chests, she weighed only 75 pounds after all, and she pointed at him and said "Give up your gun or you will join your two friends here." He quickly remembered he had his gun and pointed it at her, but before he could get a shot at her she moved faster than he could see and a second later was standing where she was before but she had his gun in her hands. "This is how effective your little weapon would be against me, you scum." With that she broke the gun in half and crumpled the pieces up in her hands like they were pieces of paper to her. Here was a little 4’8 inch girl who didn’t appear to be very muscular, but she had more than enough strength to beat these huge men to a pulp and tear apart a gun like nothing. Immediately after her last strength show, the third man was so intimidated that he fell to his knees in awe and fear and told her "I give up, please take me to jail, there is no way I could do anything against you Ultrakid." It was at that point that she got her name, Ultrakid was born. Now Dina is well past her tenth birthday and the city is almost empty of evil doers. She has become complacent, knowing that she is definitely tough enough and strong enough to take on any threat that could possibly come to town. She now spends her time lifting whatever she can to stay in shape, but its pretty hard to find anything that can test her strength. She has recently begun using aircraft carriers, fully loaded, nuclear powered, titanium covered vessels that have to weigh over 250,000 tons, as her curling weights. Yet even these huge sea going titans hardly give her muscles a workout anymore, she can do hundreds of reps with each of her arms using the 250,000 ton hulks like dumbbells, except they are over 800 feet long and are about 100 feet wide and could normally house over 50,000 troops if needed. She has been so desperate for some action that she actually let the aircraft carriers fire anti-aircraft rockets at her body to see how invulnerable she is to them. Now she knows that not only is she bulletproof, she’s rocket proof and probably grenade launcher proof as well. She took one direct hit from a missile that was launched from 300 feet away and it exploded against her invulnerable body with the only affect being a warm feeling that radiated from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. She didn’t feel any pain, just warmth, like a warm blanket would feel in the middle of winter. She didn’t really have time to enjoy this feeling however, as she heard sirens blaring from across town. Gruff laughs were heard from 2 miles away as the giant Trang was destroying the city with kicks and punches to some of the bigger buildings. Trang was 450 feet tall, just under half the height of the tallest building in the city, and weighed over 300,000 tons, most of it hard, dense muscle and bulk that came from lifting mountains and crushing granite in his bare hands. He was currently using a huge building as a club which he swung at anything he saw, and then when Dina arrived, in just under 10 seconds from where she was. Trang laughed even louder as he saw the city’s defense against him, a little girl, not even five feet tall and couldn’t have weighed more than 90 pounds. "So this is the best your pitiful city can send against me, hahaha, you have no idea, and Trang means, no idea, what you are about to get into." Trang had watched American wrestling and knew all of the Rock’s catch phrases by heart. "I am going to lay the smack down on your little monkey ass, if you smellllllllllalala what Trang is cookin." Its obvious he didn’t take her very seriously, because he was trying to psyche her out with a bunch of comedic lines that made her even madder and more ready to kick his butt. She took a fighting stance, knowing that this could be her biggest test to date, this wasn’t a non-moving target like a aircraft carrier or a crane, this was a living, breathing, moving giant human. The height and weight difference could come into it, but she could lift an aircraft carrier for reps like nothing, so Trang may be in a surprise if she gets into position to show him her strength. So they squared off, Dina was unarmed, Trang still had his club, they circled each other a couple times until finally Trang swung his building club, itself weighing 50,000 tons, right at Ultrakid’s head, she was fast enough to move out of the way and get behind him, she ran through his legs and while he was looking down, she flipped him with a judo move. He had the air knocked out of him and was looking up in the air, when suddenly he felt himself rise off the ground a little. Ultrakid was lifting him above her head and began spinning him so fast he became nothing but a blur. After 30 second of this, Trang was ready to throw up. He shouted "I surrender, please let me down, I want my mommy!" Now it was Dina’s turn to laugh as she controlled this giant like he was a baby. She said "Okay, I will put you down on two conditions, first you will reconstruct the parts of the city you destroyed and second you go far away and never come back to this city again, and if I hear you have done any damage in any other cities, I will make this little fight look like a pinch on the cheek. And so Trang rebuilt the city as Dina directed, and the city lived happily ever after because they had the protection of Ultrakid. The End
