1999 North Texas/SW USA Bodybuilding (Intro)

Intro:

Ah, the Betty Pariso-sponsored show that recently moved last year to the
more spacious Arlington Convention Center in beautiful Arlington, Texas,
right next to Six Flag.  Previously, this show used to be held in the quaint
McFarlin Auditorium on the attractive SMU Campus (Southern Methodist
University) a scant 15 minutes away from the -jabber abode.

Oh well, it was worth the trip across the Metroplex.  An excuse to see Ms.
Pariso wearing a sleeveless blouse in her massive off-season shape is valid
with me.  For the morning show, some chatroom folks, Tex and Athena (no not
"that" Athena :-) ) joined me, and for the evening show a friend of mine who
this was only the second show she'd ever seen, joined me.  

Quite an interesting show, but was it worthy of its theme this year?
