Kindred Spirit: Part 2 by Iczerman

"Can she be trusted Johaness? I have read your report and from what you say, she could easily escape and compromise our mission." Jannus was concerned.

"She has given me her word that she will do no such thing. Even if she tried, I doubt I could stop her."

"Are you sure she is that powerful?"

"I don't know the extent of her strength. But that's not the only thing that concerns me, it's her fighting ability. I am no match for her skills, even if I were stronger." Johaness looked out the window at the star traces as they sped toward their objective.

"This is a situation we have not encountered before. We must know the extent of her powers if we are to put in place sufficient security measures." Jannus looked at the screen that monitored Amy's quarters.

"I don't think Amy is a security risk, but it would be wise to know what we may be facing, and I know just how to do that." Johaness said with a grin.

"I have seen that expression before-he's up to something again." Jannus thought.

Metropolis: The Daily Planet

Clark Kent was late--on purpose.

He always had perfect attendance and always arrived to work on time. But to "blend in" better with earthlings, he started to arrive late from time to time. Today, however, he had good reason to be late due to the problems with the inadequate parking facilities at the Planet. He was wondering if "blending in" was worth the trouble of finding a parking spot when he noticed the funny way people were looking at him as he made his way toward his desk. Some had a sly smile on their faces while others (mostly of the feminist crowd) looked at him with consternation and even anger.

When he rounded the corner that lead to his work area he saw what caused the strange actions of his co-workers.

Sitting on his desk, surrounded by a crowd of admirers, was Amy's friend Lita. She was dressed in a smart, tailor made business suit that had probably the shortest skirt he had seen anyone wear with a suit before. It didn't help matters that the outfit was form fitting and that her huge bosom was neatly delineated. She looked very comfortable and at ease wearing the ensemble, not seeming to notice how all the men were not only looking into her eyes as they talked to her, but would glance down at her -silk clad, crossed legs. Jimmy Olsen was about to take a picture when he cleared his throat-.

"Oh! Hi Mr. Kent! I've been waiting for you. YOU'RE LATE !" She scolded with a wink and a wagging finger.

"A..Ahem-. Had a hard time finding a parking place." Said Clark as he went around to his seat and put his briefcase on the floor. "I believe my associates have-work to do?"

The small crowd immediately dispersed.

"What brings you to Metropolis, Lita? It isn't trouble is it?" Clark whispered.

"Well sorta. Do you know where Amy is? I got this note when I came back home and it said that she would be gone for a while, but no specifics. That's not like her."

"Not like her at all." Said Clark frowning. "I think we should discuss this privately-"

"Hey Smallville, let's get moving! Mr. White wants us to cover-.." Lois Lane burst in through the door and stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Lita and Clark deep in conversation.

"OH NO! Not another bubbles Anderson!" Lois threw her hands in the air and rolled her eyes.

All conversation ceased abruptly and the room became dead silent.

Lita gracefully dismounted from Clark's desk and stood in front of Lois, hands on her hips. Clark heard the sound of fabric stretching when Lita thrust out her massive chest. When Lita started training with Amy she was already close to 6 feet tall, but when she found her power and in addition with all the training and Amy's Supplements, she was close to 6 feet 6 inches tall. Now with her specially made shoes with 4-inch heels, she stood a statuesque 6 feet 10 inches tall (208 cm). She towered over Lois, who was lost in her shadow.

"Who is THIS-..little old lady?" A shiver ran down Clark's back.

"Lita, this is Lois Lane, one of my co-"

"Sooooo THIS is the famous Lois Lane."Said Lita, cutting Clark off. "The person who Superman always comes to rescue of in the nick of time. I've wanted to meet you and ask you a question. Tell me. Are you and Superman officially going together?"

"What business is that of -yours?" Lois was caught off guard by the directness of Lita's inquiry.

"It is my business. I and my friend Amy Brigand-Anderson are friends of Superman and that friendship may grow into something more. I for one think he is quite good looking."

Clark gulped.

"I think he might like big girls like us." Lita said as she walked around Lois, appraising her. "But I and my friends have an agreement not to "move in" on any guy who's already in a relationship. So I'm asking you again, are you and Superman going together?"

"We haven't really talked about it. Our relationship may have..complications." Lois stammered.

"Oh I see. If you and Superman got married, he might have to become human and the world would lose one of its most powerful protectors. Or, if you and he were to have children, they would become targets for any bad guys wanting to blackmail him. Would you be able to protect them from someone like, Darkseid perhaps?"

"I ummmm-"

"That would not be a problem for Amy or myself." Lita tried to thump her shoulder, but missed and hit her firm, right breast. "We are well able to protect Superman and our children if the need arise. Besides, we are both great cooks too."

"Now that's a laugh." Lois thought she had a way out. "Are you saying that you two are stronger than Superman? Now we all know you're crazy."

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying." Said Lita unblinking. "Next time you see Superman, ask him about our little adventure on Romux. He can tell you himself about our abilities, unless you think he would lie to you."

Lois started to bite her lower lip.

"Let me give you two pieces of advice." Lita said sternly. "It's not wise to insult those who Superman calls his friends. And I would also start useing that Stairmaster that's gathering dust at your place, unless Superman likes flabby thighs."

3

The lights on the spacecraft dimmed and then came back on.

"What was that?" Johaness said into the ship's intercom. "An energy drain?"

"Yes, but power has been stabilized. It came from your guests quarters-she's adjusted the gravity to 2000 times that of her homeworld."

"Acknowledged." Johaness continued on towards Amy's quarters. "I'm somewhat relieved that she is making herself at home here on the ship, I was beginning to worry that she would think herself a prisoner and not a guest." He thought as he opened the door to Amy's quarters. He felt the gravity increase pull slightly against his body. The spacecraft was equipped to accommodate several species with differing gravitational needs, it was not unusual for that feature to be frequently accessed.

He looked toward the computer console that held the restricted records and data of their mission, and found it unoccupied. He was starting to wonder where Amy was when from the corner of his eye his saw a blur of shimmering blue. At first he had a hard time following the fast moving object, but he soon realized that it was Amy leaping from one wall to the ceiling to the floor to another wall, spinning through the air attacking an unseen foe. He could hear her kicks and punches strike the air with amazing speed and precision, her enormous breasts not hindering her movements in any way. Johaness didn't say anything, but observed the intricate combinations of attacks, blocks and acrobatic moves. She was as good as a Backtarian gymnast.

It was after Amy stopped, put one fist into the other open hand, and took a long, slow deep breath that she finally saw Johaness watching her.

"I'm pleased that you have finally made yourself comfortable, are these quarters satisfactory?" Began Johaness awkwardly. But when she looked at him, he could tell that she had not adjusted to her situation. She was not angry, but looked-disappointed.

"They are fine-thank you." Amy looked away.

"I believe an explanation is in order, about your "arrest'. It is for your protection, your security must not be compromised, so for the time being I must ask for your cooperation-and your trust."

Amy nodded.

"But it is you who have proven to be trustworthy. You could have resisted easily, I couldn't have stopped you." Johaness walked over to Amy's computer console and gave her complete clearance to all files of the mission.

"Is there anything else I can do to make you more comfortable?"

"Welllll-there is one thing.."

4

The planet Marinus was mostly an agrarian world with vast grasslands, and hills. The only mountainous regions were toward the polar icecaps. The main feature of this planet was that it closely resembled Earth in size, density and gravity. Amy and Johaness were transported into an area that the local authorities gave them clearance, a solitary place far away from any settlements.

"Do you think your-um-magical workout area will work here?" Johaness was still skeptical of any use of magic or enchanted items.

"Yes. It will take a little longer to materialize because it has to adjust to the new planets gravitational fields. It uses the force of gravity of the planet, multiplied by a factor of 1000, to create and suspend our "gym". The old one I had, after a while, proved inadequate."

"You mean the weights you were using to "workout' with were so great that it overcame the field and-.caused your planet to deviate from its orbit?" Johaness started to chuckle but quickly coughed and cleared his throat when Amy just looked at him and smiled.

"No wonder you are the science officer in charge of this "mission'. You have very acute powers of deduction. Please excuse me for a minute or so-I have to warm up before my workout." Amy then started to stretch her aching muscles, space travel could be quite sedentary at times.

Johaness had the ships systems replicate a bodysuit according to Amy's specifications. It was a -rather tight fitting affair that was made out of a reflective material that was both warm and flexible. Every contour of Amy's figure was snuggly hugged by the space age garment. Her curves were far more exaggerated than those of the females of his race, and her muscles were much bigger and thicker than many of the males also.

Amy tossed she scroll on the ground and made a familiar gesture. The workout area plus the pocket dimension containing her weapons and Graviton Bar MK. 4 appeared. Hoisting the bar to her shoulders and making a few minor adjustments, she started to squat up and down over and over. She paused to rest and then repeated the same movement over with an apparently heavier weight. He saw her take in deeper and deeper breaths, which caused her breasts to lift and seemingly expand. He was paying a little too close attention to her bosom that he didn't hear her speak. Amy then stopped and cleared her throat a little louder.

"I um-..I beg your pardon." Said Johaness. Amy noted that those of his race blushed green instead of red.

"Johaness, does your race workout and such? It sure looks like it!" He was admiring my physique, it's now my turn to admire his.

"Now that I think about it..no. We are born like this and keep this physical condition until the age we cease to function."

I see. Why don't you join me?" She tried not to ask TOO coyly. "It would be a learning experience to know first hand what other races have to go through to keep in shape."

"It would be an interesting experiment, yes." Johaness couldn't resist her smile, but he kept that to himself.

Amy found him to be a quick study when it came to performing the basic weightlifting movements. He observed her every move and copied her form perfectly. What annoyed her was his smirk when completed a set with the same weight as her. So she decided to put this alien in his place and upped the weight and performed more sets than she was used to. What started out as an experiment soon turned into a fierce competition, with Amy smiling politely each time she finished a set. Amy couldn't remember the last time she pushed herself this hard, but that was nothing in comparison to this workout. She surpassed her record weights in all of her movements and Johaness was keeping up with her rep for rep, but one could not prove their superiority over the other that day.

Amy's muscles were never pumped this much before. She never felt this much pain and pleasure at the same time. After Johaness finished his last gut-busting rep doing barbell curls, he collapsed to the ground along with Amy, both breathing hard. Johaness found it difficult not to look at Amy's huge breasts heaving up and down with every gulp of air. He thought he heard the sweat-soaked bodysuit tear once or twice. Amy then got up and instinctively started to flex her biceps. Never before have her arms been this pumped! Johaness could see traces of vasularity through the tight fitting second skin.

"He's trying hard not to look-..but he's failing." Amy smiled to herself.

"That was quite a-.unique-experience." Panted Johaness.

"I was wondering about if there were other races in the universe that were as strong as I am." Said Amy. "I have now the honor to meet one of that race."

"My people have always been physically strong. But I have to admit that your fighting skills are the most advanced I have encountered. And your agility and speed are remarkable!"

It was now Amy's turn to blush.

"My Sensei Julia Diggers has taught me that strength alone is not enough. That speed and one's fighting skills along with endurance and strength makes a warrior complete."

"My race has never seen the need for fighting skills of any kind."

"That would be logical for an advanced space-faring race like yours. Your vessel carries quite an arsenal. Neutronium tipped, warp-powered nanitron missiles, and mutiphasic plasma energy cannons. Quality over quantity." Said Amy. "But your light-speed initiators could be reconfigured to become more efficient and consume less energy when crossing the quantum threshold."

"I see you've been reading our technical journals." Johaness complimented. "Didn't I give her full access to our computers just two days ago and she already knows this much?" He thought to himself.

An earnest beeping from the communicator called for his attention.

"Johaness here-is there a problem?" He tried to sound not overly annoyed.

"We have analyzed the data from Ms. Andersons MK.3 Graviton Bar and made the necessary extrapolations and applied the new parameters to our scanning system." Said the voice of Jannus.

"Continue."

"We have found our objective."

5

It was a good thing that their destination was 72 earth hours away. This gave Amy a chance to reflect on recent events.

An entire race of beings as powerful as she was.

She was ..humbled -by the discovery. She never realized how much her strength really meant to her ego. She thought she was unique-perhaps in the entire universe. But now she may be just one in-.how many billions could there be of Johaness's race? Could there be beings in the universe even more powerful?

Another thing that kept her occupied to a certain extent was the recovery from her workout with Johaness. The muscles of her body quivered violently and were quite sore for the next 12 hours, almost to the point of preventing her from sleeping. She found it difficult to walk at first, but as her body repaired itself, it became easier. After 24 hours she was almost back to "normal' except for the fact of the new layer of muscle that covered her body. Her clothes fit just a little tighter, except around the waist. She could sense that she had grown stronger after that one workout. Was it the fact that she pushed herself so hard? Or did the alien atmosphere of Marinus have something to do with it?

"Amy, could you come to the bridge please?" Johaness's voice sounded over the intercom.

"Well, it's time. I'll finally find out what this whole thing is about." Amy thought to herself when she walked down the corridors of the ship. She saw the females of the crew look at her with small smiles on their faces, but the males were more serious and nodded when she passed them.

The doors of the darkened control room opened slowly and on one giant monitor as big as a movie theater screen, was-oddly enough-.a round object that looked very much like the "Death Star' from the Star Wars trilogy. Johaness came to her side and guided her to a computer console.

"Amy, please run a series of scans and tell us your findings."

"Conducting scans." Amy began. "The planet is artificial, the size of the planet Jupiter of the Sol system. Its metallic composition is very similar to my Graviton Bars in that it is composed of an alloy of neutronium, but with a different crystalline lattice bonding the molecules together. I am reading three different energy patterns. One is an energy pattern that is very similar to a form of Ionic combustion. It appears-. that this whole planet is composed of millions of Ionic reactors all chained together to increase the power available."

Johaness was fascinated, looking over Amy's shoulder.

"Also present are low levels of ionizing radiation. Now scanning for life signs-.none are registering, but that is not conclusive. There are indications of organic compounds but the neutronium is making it difficult for our scanners to be more accurate. I do detect something that could be an entrance, does your ship have radiation shielding?"

"Yes it does. Captain Jannus, go to the coordinates that Amy has fed into the computer."

Around on the other side of the artificial planet was a giant door that was part way open, maybe those who created this structure intended it to be habitable. It took a good 8 hours for the ship to wind its way through the vast maze of tunnels that lead to the planets core, the pattern of the energy conduits provided an easy frame of reference to navigate through the superstructure. When the ship could go no further, Amy, Johaness and a small security force, dressed in heavily protected suits, found what appeared to be the entrance to the main chamber of the planetoid.

Massive doors of neutronium barred their way, but Amy pried them open easily.

"Oh-.no-." Amy gasped.

Strewn around the vast central core were many bodies of lifeless aliens, numbering well into the hundreds. Amy quickly scanned the nearest bodies and found that they have been dead for about 70 hours, acute radiation poisoning the cause.

"Who-who are they?" Amy stammered.

Johaness walked over to Jannus and was in deep conversation for about a minute until Jannus reluctantly nodded his head.

"We may regret this decision in years to come, but I feel we owe you this much in way of explanation. These beings are called the Ah-Hubis, they are our-how shall I say-our "competitors' is the best word in your language that can describe them. We have always had a somewhat "diplomatic" relationship with them. We were aware that they were building this structure thinking that it was an energy producing facility. Amy, could you scan this area using these new parameters and tell us your conclusions?"

Amy started to take readings with her hand held scanner and discovered a faint but familiar energy pattern. Leading the small party in toward the center of the control room she found the source. Suspended in an energy field into which all the planets reactor conduits fed into was Amy's missing Graviton Bar Mk1.

"They were trying to construct a weapon, one that could create a giant black hole and destroy something as large as an entire solar system." Amy said. "I only removed the power source from this bar and put it away for storage. It was one of my earliest and least advanced applications of this technology so I didn't think it would pose a security risk like my more advanced models. Just to heft that bar inactivated would require much more strength that my people could ever have. I think the Ah-Hubis detected my experiment with the Mk. 3 bar( see "Deletion") and traced Superman's ship back to Earth, located my house, and stole the Mk1 bar."

"Go on." Johaness put a comforting hand on Amy's shoulder.

"They tried to replicate a black hole, but the power requirements were higher than they anticipated."

"It was one of the preliminary tests that sent out the energy signature we detected that started this investigation." Said Johaness. "Evidently a second, more powerful test was what we detected 72 earth hours ago and produced this disaster. That is why we wanted to detain you, to keep the Ah-Hubis from extracting any information about the Graviton Bar technology from you. Fortune was with us when you were not at your residence when your Mk 1 was stolen."

Johannes just then realized the implications of what he just said, he was incredulous.

"You said that you use-..MAGIC?!.... to power your devices?!"

Amy nodded silently.

"Astounding! We didn't detect a black hole forming-just a similar energy signature. Millions of giant Ionic reactors could not produce enough energy to power your least advanced Graviton Bar, and yet you use a small enchanted gem to power your Mk 4 ?"

"Magic can be very powerful, and must be used wisely. I thought I have taken every precaution, but I was mistaken. And now look at the result." Amy sank to her knees.

"It is not your fault Amy, evidently the Ah-Hubis have abandoned this project as being either too expensive or too dangerous. We also cannot prove conclusively what their intended target was. But it is safe to assume that this is the prototype. I can destroy it and put an end to this project. The Ah-Hubis will deny the existence of this planetary weapon nor will they attempt to make another one."

6

The small team boarded their vessel and the ship retraced its intricate, winding path though the artificial planets core and traveled to a safe distance away.

Amy was then asked by Johaness to stay in her quarters for at least 48 hours.

"I can't destroy this weapon without extensive consultation from my superiors."

"I understand. To muster such a massive fleet of battleships and not look like you're mobilizing for war could be a tricky situation." Amy acknowledged.

For the next two days Amy looked out her window to see if there were any warships arriving and taking up firing positions, but none came. Perhaps they were waiting delivery of a massive missile and calculating the proper part of the artificial weapon at which to direct it.

Two days later Jannus came to the door of Amy's quarters and escorted her to the observation deck of the ship. Amy could see the artifical planet-weapon floating harmlessly in space. They were far enough away so that the object looked the size of a basketball in the viewing portal.

"Where's Johaness?" Asked Amy looking around at the gathered crowd.

"He is going to dispose of the weapon. We knew what to do two days ago, but to let you witness the destruction of the planet was the subject of debate. It took Johaness all this time to convince our superiors that you had the right. It is not often that we take our true form."

"True form? What are you-."

A brilliant flash of light startled Amy. Looking out the observation window, she saw a giant, luminous being, but giant wasn't the correct word. This mega-being made the Gigatonians look like microbes. Amy could recognize this being as Johaness, but the light distorted his features a little.

The planet-weapon disappeared inside Johaness's massive palm and with what looked like a simple clenching of the fist, compressed the artificial world into a fraction of its original size. It was now a useless lump of neutronium.

Amy fainted.

7

"And that's all you remember? Nothing else after you passed out?"

"No, that's all. The next thing I remember was Superman and Wonder Woman opening up the capsule and helping me out. All my belongings were intact including my workout scroll."

Amy finished her two-hour story. Serena, Lita, Raye and Mina were fascinated. But the most attention was paid toward the ring that was inside Amy's backpack. When Wonder Woman tried to lift it, she thought she had lost her strength because she believed the pack would be light. But it turned out that all the weight belonged to a ring with a gem that looked like a diamond close to one carat in size. After an extensive analysis at Star Labs and the Justice League space station, the gem was found to be composed of elements not found on the earth. The ring weighed well over four hundred pounds.

"I'm tell'in ya Amy, it means something." Said Lita, with everyone nodding in agreement. "This must be the most beautiful gem I have ever seen!" Lita's eyes were sparkling as she looked at the ring adorning her right hand.

"It may be a simple thank-you gift. But I do admit that he was very good looking."

"AS GOOD LOOKING AS SUPERMAN?!?!" All four girls asked at the same time.

"Er-um-yes he-was." Amy started to blush.

"Not to be negative or anything, but don't you think a relationship with a mega-giant alien may have its-.complications?" Asked Raye.

"What if you and Johaness wanted to have children? That could be one complicated pregnancy!" Serena observed.

"I surmise that Johaness was able to adjust his physical size somehow so he can interact with what may be the majority of races in the universe. I wonder if he would have to become human in order to be with someone from our planet." Amy stared out the window.

"Do you think he grew stronger when he took on his true form, or did his strength remain the same all the time?" Asked Mina.

"I don't know, but that would explain why his race didn't need hand to hand combat skills. Plus what could I do to help if I were as strong as he? I couldn't grab a planet and crush it. " Answered Amy.

They all sat in silence, thinking.

"One thing I"ve learned." Said Amy. "Is that the universe is an awfully big place, with millions of galaxies and even more races of beings, who knows who or what's out there-.."

Amy dimmed the lights, letting the stars shine through the windows.

The End

Epilogue:

"Give me the remote, honey..I want to see that video again!" Said Stephen as he reached across the lap of his wife.

"I want to see it again too-but not for the same reasons you do-.you-you-dirty old man!" Gretchen took the remote and held it away from her body out of her husbands reach.

As he tried to gain control of the device, his head ended up mushing against her ample left breast, to which Gretchen shoved him away. He grabbed for the remote again and soon the two of them were playfully wrestling for the precious device.

After about 10 minutes, Stephen finally surrendered control of the remote to the victor of the wrestling match.

"She does have a rather-curvy figure- doesn't she? Johaness says she has vast intelligence. And , as this video demonstrates, she posses strength on par with the strongest of our race." Gretchen was starting to like this girl who her son just met.

"Reminds me of someone I know." Stephen said kissing her cheek.
