Fitness Camp
Part 1
This is the story of a young girl's experience at an experimental fitness camp. Anna is a successful young actress, but she realizes
her cuteness will not serve her for long. She wants to be like the strong female heroines of her day, Wonder Woman, Ellen Ripley
and Sarah Connor. Her father discovers a summer camp that promises to build your daughters' physique, strength and self confidence
up in only three weeks. The story of Anna's experience is told through her letters and pictures home to the father.
Monday
Dear Dad,
I really like the camp you sent me too. It is really different. They give us special meals and some funny tasting vitamins. They work us out all day ling on
weightlifting equipment. It is hard work, but it is doing me good. You know how skinny I was when I came here. They measured us at the start. My arms were the smallest of any of the girls, only 9 inches. My thighs were only 18 inches. But already after only 1 day I can see a difference. Can you ?
Here is a picture my Coach took of me at the end of the first day. I look as big as some of those fitness girls you like !
And I am really getting strong too. I couild not do any chinups when I came here, but now I do sets of 40 !
If I look this good after only 2 days, can you imagine how big and strong I'll be after 3 weeks ?
The workouts here started right after they measured us. We started by repeatedly climbing knotted ropes hung from trees. At
first I had to use my feet to help me but those vitamines must ahave kicked in, because in no time I was climbing hand over hand
without using my legs at all ! By lunchtime, I had to have the coach hang on to me while I climbed just to have some
resistance. My atrms were so powerful that my own body weight was insignificant to them.
Here is how I looked by mid-afternoon.
See how big my muscles have gotten ? And they are so hard ! My coach can't even press his fingers into them they are so hard.
We also worked our legs with deadlifts. This morning I could only lift about 150 lbs.
But after lunch and more megavitamins, I set the camp record of 470 lbs !
Isn't that cool ! I bet I'm even stronger than you now. We were playing around this evening and I found I could rip up telephone poles and toss them around.
I always thought they would be heavy, but they aren't.
Well, I have to get ready for bed. I'll write again.
Love,
Anna
