The Supefem Chronicles, Greg and Megan's Story By Helplesscase Part 1 This series is taken from the setting of Little Baby Daddy II, written by Puppetman. I didn't use any of the characters from the story, just the setting as a launching point for some ideas I had. PART I The founders of the Society for the Natural Order of Women (SNOW) believed very strongly in traditional male-female roles. While most Americans would feel that SNOW was stuck in the 1950's, there were tens of thousands of active members scattered across the United States. Some of the members were extremely influential. There were a few senators, some millionaires and even a few billionaires. One billionaire in particular, Nathan Goody, could see right away that the spread of the Superfem program was unstoppable. He understood that almost nobody, including women, would refuse power. And Superfem made women very powerful Fifteen thousand SNOW members applied to live on Nathan's private island. It was 536 miles off the coast of Southern California. The warm beautiful island measured 22 miles long by 12 miles wide. A selection committee arduously narrowed the applicants down to 3,000 finalists. The SNOW Island selection board felt this was the population level it could comfortably support - with some carefully controlled growth. They needed people with all kinds of backgrounds. They needed doctors, electricians, mechanics, firemen, police, farmers, butchers, and on and on. Two particular families that moved to the island were the Wilson's and the Hathaway's. Gregory Wilson's family was chosen because his dad was a police chief. Jonathan Hathaway's family was chosen because his dad was a pharmacist. The two six year old boys lived next door to each other and became instant best friends. They're friendship helped them adjust to their new lives on the island. After all, they couldn't watch new cartoons anymore, or visit their grandparents. They had to live like "old fashioned people" as they put it. But kids adjust quickly. After a couple of years, the mainland seemed almost like a dream to most of the kids. On Johnny's 9th birthday, all his friends were there. Greg, Ben, Ashley, and Nina were all watching him blow out his candles. Johnny made a wish and blew them all out. Instead of smiling though, he frowned and sat back away from the cake. "What did you wish for?" Ashley asked. "It doesn't matter. It won't come true anyway." His small hands covered his face and he ran into his room before anyone could see him cry. His father told the kids to get started on the cake and went to talk to his son. "Johnny, are you okay, buddy?" His father asked softly. "Why did we have to leave her like that, dad?! I never even got to say goodbye!" His father sighed. He had explained this to his young son more times then he could count, but he would do it again, as best he could. Why did they leave his mother ... Gary thought back to the day. He and his family had gone over to the Logan family's house for dinner one summer night. His wife was good friends with Betty, but he hadn't seen the Logans for several months. That's why it struck Gary a little oddly that his wife Janet had made this dinner date suddenly. As soon as they pulled up to the house Gary sensed something was up. His wife Janet was acting strangely. As they stepped out of the car his wife walked quickly, as if she wanted to reach the door first. She rang the doorbell before he even got up to the door. Their little boy, Eric, answered the door. "Hello Eric, where's your dad?" His wife asked quickly. "He's out back, in the yard." The boy answered over his shoulder while Johnny followed him to his room. "Oh, great! Gary, why don't you head straight out there and see what Ted is up too. I'll go help Betty in the kitchen. I think you can go straight down that hall and get to a back door." "I know honey, I've been here before, remember? Is something going on?" "No, silly." She giggled. "Just go see Ted and we'll call you when dinner is ready." Ted was out back in his tool shed. Not really doing anything, just having a beer and sitting there. "Hey Ted. Anything new around here?" The man glanced up at him with a sharp expression that caught Gary off guard, but then his face melted back into its previous passive expression. "Not much." "So ... the yard looks great." Gary offered, to strike up conversation. "Thanks. I spend a lot of time out here." They talked for a while, and then Gary asked Ted if something was up with the girls. Ted just kind of gave him a confused look. Then understanding swept across his face. "What Ted?" "I just realized that you haven't seen my wife since you got here." "No, why? What's going on? Is your wife okay?" "Yeah, she's just ... aw never mind. I'm sure she'll want to talk all about it at dinner." He batted at the air to dismiss the topic. After a while Gary heard the voice of his wife Janet sing out. "Oh boys ... dinner's on." The men walked into the dining room, where Janet was already sitting at the table. When they sat down, Gary asked his wife where the kids were. She told him that they had taken some food into Eric's room so they could play video games. Gary looked around as they sat. "Hey Ted, did you remodel the living room? The new furniture looks great." "Oh. Yeah." Ted was never very out-going, but he seemed to be in a particularly quiet mood. Gary decided not to say anything more about it, but then Janet spoke up. "You like the new furniture Gary? It looks pretty nice doesn't it?" "Yeah, sure honey." Was this what his wife was up to? Was she bucking for new furniture? His wife continued. "Betty said she really needed it. Her other furniture really didn't fit her anymore. She had it made at a special store." GREAT, Gary thought. That was it. She wanted designer furniture. He decided to wait until later to continue this conversation. He didn't want to argue with her there, but he was going to have to put his foot down. Besides, the furniture was kind of ugly anyway. It was too large. Sort of like the table they were sitting at for dinner. The table top practically came up to the middle of his chest. Gary shrugged and changed the subject. "Oh, well I still haven't seen Betty since I got here. I feel rude." "Oh, she's just bringing the rest of the food out Gary." Then, playfully calling toward the kitchen, Janet continued. "Hurry up Betty, Gary is complaining because he hasn't had a chance to see you yet." A giggle came from the other room. Gary put a glass of wine to his lips and looked up just as Betty walked into the dining room. The glass fell from his hand, but the stunned man didn't notice. Striding toward the table was the tallest woman he had ever seen. Not just tallest woman, the tallest human he had ever seen in person. "B-b-betty?!" "Yes Gary?" She asked with an aloof smile, as if unaware of his gawking. "Oop's, I see you spilled your wine. That's alright. Ted, will you get a new bottle of wine from the kitchen?" "Yes Honey." Ted jumped to his feet and squeezed around behind his wife to get into the kitchen. Gary still hadn't looked away from Betty. She was, smiling politely at him. Her short blond hair was still poofed and hair sprayed in its usual delicate way, curling carefully around her ears. Just like the 30 something housewife he remembered, only this time her curly poofs were only about 12 inches from the 8' ceiling. He finally brought his eyes down, and then blinked rapidly when he saw the way her long legs filled her khaki shorts. They were like tree trunks. Thick clumps of muscle completely filled the wide hems of her shorts. Gary averted his eyes from her long tan legs up to her torso, which was covered by a green sleeveless blouse. He looked past the dishes Betty was holding, and took in the sight of her bent arms. Her biceps looked like engine blocks under a layer of tan skin. Betty set the dishes onto the table and came around next to Gary's seat. She leaned over him, gently picking up the tipped glass and dabbed the wet table cloth with his napkin. At this point, Gary was still staring straight ahead where Betty had just been standing a moment before. He felt her presence, smelt her perfume, but he didn't dare look over at the long arms which moved so daintily only inches from him. Maybe he had imagined what he had just seen, but he wasn't ready to check again yet. "Gary, did I mention that Betty is on the Superfem program?" Janet said as nonchalantly as she could. "N-no, you failed to mention that honey." He heard a faint giggling from behind him. Ted walked in with another bottle of wine. He handed it to Betty and retook his seat. "Ted, can you get Gary a new napkin?" Betty asked. Her voice was still hers, only the volume she carried seemed as effortless as a whisper. "Yes honey." Ted jumped back up and went to retrieve the napkin. Meanwhile the bottle floated down into Gary's field of vision. Betty pulled the cork out smoothly with a flick of her wrist and poured Gary a fresh glass. Her finger tips daintily held the glass. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Janet offered. Betty politely declined any help. "Well, you do look more then capable, Betty." She gushed. "You look amazing these days." "Why thank you." The woman politely responded. Ted came back with another napkin and handed it to his wife. She in turn held it out for Gary. He reached for it carefully, almost afraid to touch her large slender hand. Betty didn't seem to notice. With that, they all began to eat. Well, at least Gary pretended to eat. He had heard about the Superfem program and seen pictures in the news paper, but he never watched TV, so this was the first time he had seen a Superfem woman in person. "How much time do you spend working out each day?" Janet asked. "Oh, 1 or 2 hours." Betty answered back casually. A few minutes later Janet started up again. "Is it hard to keep up with the workouts?" "No, I look forward to my workouts. It feels really nice to be so strong and healthy." "Wow! I can see your muscles bulging even while you're just eating!" The blond woman looked down at her arm which was holding her fork. The fork looked like it belonged to a child in her hand. "I'm sorry about bombarding you with comments and questions like an obsessed nut, Betty. I must be making you so self conscious. We can talk about something else." Betty smiled. "No, it's alright. I don't mind at all." She set her fork down and made a muscle, watching it herself in apparent amusement. "I enjoy showing people how strong I've gotten." "Wow! Honey, look at her arm! Her biceps as big as a mountain!" Gary winced when he looked up at Betty and glared back at Janet, who was getting very excited. "Honey, it's not as big as a mountain." Gary corrected the obvious exaggeration under his breath. He picked at his food, and shook his head. His irritation was blatant to anyone who took notice. But apparently no one did. "Well, it's a lot bigger then yours honey!" His wife fired back. Self consciously Gary set his fork down and placed his hands onto his lap, as if trying to hide part of his slender arms beneath the table. "Make a muscle honey. I want to see how big yours looks." Gary felt his stomach turn. He was wringing his hands compulsively under the table. "No, I'm not going to make a muscle. This is silly. Let's just eat!" He looked over at Ted, who was motionless, staring down at his plate. Gary knew he would get no help from him. "Don't get snippy Gary. I'm just curious." His wife reprimanded. "I'm not getting snippy!" Gary snarled through gritted teeth. His jaws were starting to burn from clenching so hard. "Oh, it's okay Janet." Betty batted at the air in dismissal. "Gary's just trying to eat his dinner, let him relax." Betty dabbed her napkin to her mouth and set it on the table. "Ted, roll up your sleeve up sweetie." Ted's head snapped up and he looked at his wife with his eyebrows arched in surprise. He glanced quickly at Gary and then back up at his wife. "I'm curious myself. It's been a few weeks since we compared." The formerly petite housewife patted the table and slowly Ted pulled up the baggy sleeve of his T-shirt then set his elbow on the table. Betty set her elbow on the table as well and immediately Janet began giggling. She was unaffected by Gary's mood. "Well, I think you look great Betty. I'll bet you're even three times as strong as Ted, that's amazing." The blond chuckled and looked down at her arm, flexing it harder, and somehow making it even larger. "Three times? Maybe a few months ago, but I've come a long way since then. Haven't I Teddy." She patted her husband's arm softly. "I'll bet all that strength comes in pretty handy around the house too." Janet continued. "Oh, you could say that. Vacuuming under the couch is a little easier. And Eric thinks it pretty neat the way I put his bicycle together without using a wrench." She smiled with motherly pride. "Ted won't admit it, but I don't think he will mind me being on his bowling team this year." Betty rolled her tongue against her cheek as she smiled down at him. Janet laughed. "I wonder if I could ever get that strong." "Oh, you definitely have the potential. I used to be smaller then you, remember?" The women smiled at each other, ignoring Gary. Ted sat quietly back in his seat, physically no worse for wear. After everyone was though eating or pretending to eat, Betty turned to her husband. "I believe we're all through with dinner. Janet and I will be in the family room talking for a while." "Yes Honey." Ted started clearing the table. Gary caught Betty winking at Janet as he did so. He felt nausea sweep over him. He walked straight out to the car and waited for his wife and son, who came out 30 minutes later. That night at home he declared it wasn't right! It was a perversion of nature! He and his wife fought about it for hours that night. Finally, she admitted that she had already signed up, and there was nothing he could do to stop her. It was Janet's final comment that sealed his decision: "Things are going to be different Gary, and you had better start liking it." He knew he had to take his son and run away. Time flew by for the boys as they grew up on SNOW Island. There were enough kids on the island to justify 4 very small schools, which meant there were some rivalries that developed. Greg really enjoyed sports, and as he entered high school he was a star player in football, basketball, and track. Greg was growing into a strong young man, like his father. He was already 5' 10" tall at 16, and putting on some muscle. Johnny on the other hand had hardly grown at all since he was 12. Even at 16, he stood at a scrawny 5'3". The two boys still remained best friends though. This was reinforced by the fact that their girlfriends were also best friends with each other. Nina and Megan were sitting in the park discussing their usual topic outside of schoolwork - boys. "It's amazing how different our taste in boys is Nina." The slender blue-eyed Megan said into the sky while she lay on the grass. She twisted a few strands of her dark hair around a soft manicured finger. The sunshine really brought out the natural red highlights in her hair. To Nina, it looked almost as if her hair absorbed the sun's energy and glowed. The equally slender Pilipino girl answered back lazily. "Yeah, I don't understand your obsession with jocks." "Greg's not a jock!" "Oh yes he is! All he knows how to talk about is sports." "I guess you're right. I don't know. I guess it's just that I feel so safe when he's around. It's like he can take care of me. It just makes me feel all warm inside." "But he has no brains, and he's so obnoxious!" Just then heavy footfalls were heard above them and a large body dove on top of Megan, sending her into a tangled roll with her boyfriend. "See what I mean! Where's Johnny?" "I don't know," The half distracted boy answered. He was busy pinning Megan to the grass and tickling her all over. "He was pulled out of class in the middle of the day. I'm kind of worried about him myself." "Well, I'm going over to his house to look for him." Nina walked off, but the other two barely noticed. "Come on Meg, fight back. At least try. It isn't fun if you don't put up at least a little resistance." He had two of her wrists in one of his hands and he was poking her in the belly with his free hand. Megan closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. She swung her elbows wildly, but she couldn't break his grip. Then she bucked her hips, only able to lift him a few inches and exhausting herself in the process. Finally, she gave up. "I can't, you're just too strong." He sighed in mock exasperation and kissed her lips. He had enjoyed watching her slender body squirm under him. It mad her medium size breasts bounce so enticingly. And whenever she exerted herself her cheeks got flush and matched the red highlights in her hair. "It's okay honey. I know you're not a jock. You're a book worm, but I still love you." Her wide perfect smile was his favorite thing about her. "What's wrong with liking books, muscle head?" She tried to look angry but she her lips curled up, displaying her perfect teeth. They both started giggling and rolling on the grass. They weren't sure how long it had been, but the sun was starting to set when they saw Nina approaching them alone. When she got with a few yards and looked up at them they both were struck with how puffy and red her eyes were. "What's wrong!?" Megan asked with concern. Through the sniffles she managed to answer. "Its Johnny ... He's gone!" It was 3 months later when Greg got a letter from his best friend. It was the first he had heard from him. Greg took the letter up to his room and opened it slowly. It contained several hand written pages. The pages were written in various colors, so Greg could tell it had been added to several times. The first page was written in purple ink, in very loopy cursive. Greg knew right away it was not his friend's hand writing. It looked like a female's writing. To Whom it May Concern: I am secretly letting Johnny write this one letter, despite his mother's wishes. I am hoping this will help him get over his past there. Maybe he will cry less and try harder to adjust to the real world. I am doing this for him, not for you. Do not try to contact him. I told him up front I would read his letter before I sent it, and I have. There is nothing in the letter that will help you contact him. If you attempt to contact Johnny you will only make things harder for him. Brandi The next page was written in black ink for the first couple of pages. Dear Greg, First let me say, I'm sorry I never got to say goodbye in person. I want you to know I think about you, Nina, and the others every day. I miss you guys like crazy. I hope you guys miss me too. I have so much to tell you, I don't know where to start. As you know, my father died of a massive heart attack. I know I told you and everybody else that my mother was dead. This isn't true at all. My dad actually took me and fled to the island without my mother's knowledge. Technically it was a kidnapping. You see, my mother had decided against my father's wishes to join the Superfem program. He felt he had no choice but to take me away in order for me to grow up in a normal environment. He felt he had to steel me from my mother and hide me on SNOW Island. My dad didn't tell me, but my mother had discovered my location almost 6 months before I left. She had never stopped looking for me. But she was held up in the courts with a long slow legal battle before she could actually enter the island to reclaim me. That is, until my father died. Somehow, she found out within minutes after it happened. Two agents were waiting for me in the principal's office that day. They took me home and gave me 1 hour to pack before they escorted me back to the states. I am trying to fit everything I want to tell you into this one letter, so I won't go on any more about that day. Mother does not want me to make contact with anyone from SNOW Island, and she is very strict about it. She even told the mail carrier to watch out for anything suspicious. After weeks of secret begging, and some huge promises on my part, my babysitter Brandi has agreed to sneak one letter into the mail for me. I really don't know where to start. I know we used to joke and complain about a lot of things. We used to complain about how our island had no TV, national newspapers or anything relaying current events. About how we missed our old friends and our other family members back home in the states. Remember how we used to half wonder if everyone on the island was crazy? Remember how we used to bet that nothing had probably changed and we were on that little island for nothing? Let me tell you, the only thing here that feels the same as I remember is hugging my Mother. And that's only because she's just as large to me now as she was to me the day I left. She makes me feel like a little kid again. I guess I'll tell you about her first. She has changed so much. Her face looks like I remember. Her smile is the same. But everything else is different. Her body is different, and her personality is different too. She used to stay at home when I was little. Now she works all the time. Mother changed my last name to match her maiden name. She remarried several years ago to a guy named Chuck. I guess they both just kept their own last names. He is way different than my dad in almost every way. He is big like your dad. I think he looks down on me for being small and weak for my age. But he knows not to act macho around my mother, I can tell you that much. Mother is very protective of me. She tells me every day how she will never risk losing me again. She spends a lot of time talking to me and keeps me near her when she's home. I think my step sister Jessica is getting quite jealous. She is 4 years old and obviously not used to sharing her mommy's attention. I don't think Jessica ever knew her real mother. The brightest memory I have of my mother from childhood was her reading me bedtime stories each night. I made the mistake of telling her this. She has insisted on reading to me at night now as well. After Jessica is tucked into her bed my mom brings a book into my room. Most of the stories are from my old books that she kept after dad and I left. She props my head up on a pillow, curls her giant body around me and reads to me. I told her several times that I was too old for this. She just laughs and tells me to stop trying to grow up so fast. I told Mother that I was 16, not 6. She just laughed some more and told me that I was still 6 years old in her eyes. I don't think that she was kidding. I feel so childish around her that I even act childish sometimes without realizing it. The next paragraph is in blue ink. I mentioned my new sister Jessy. Like I said, she is only 4 years old, but you would never know it. This world is crazy, Greg. You would not believe how much things changed in only 10 years. Mother explained to me that Superfem is somehow PASSED ON THROUGH THE MOTHER'S GENES! Now all of the little girls around here will grow up to be naturally tall and super strong a lot like their mothers, even without the Superfem program! I mean, Jessy's head already comes up to my chest! She's still a little pudgy and uncoordinated like all young kids, but I can feel real strength in her when we play. We just got done wrestling, and I think I was almost more tired then she was! I know you think I'm a wimp and everything, but she's relentless. She likes to wrestle with me all the time. She plays more like a 10 year old boy then a 4 year old girl. The next page is a different type of paper and the writing looks a little different. It's been a couple of days now since I last wrote in this letter. Brandi told me I had better hurry and finish this or she will change her mind. I think she may already have, if you don't get this. She's starting to have second thoughts about sneaking this out for me. I guess I should explain Brandi. Yes, she really is my "babysitter." But it's not because I can't take care of myself. It's because my Mother is so afraid of someone kidnapping me again that she won't let me be alone. Brandi has actually been Jessy's babysitter for a some time, but when I came home, Mother asked her to look after me as well sometimes. I don't think I mentioned this, but Brandi is also 16 years old. Its embarrassing to write about Brandi since she is going to be reading this. All I can say about her is that she is one of the nicest girls in school. As you can imagine by now, school here is very different as well. The school here is a lot larger then the school on the island. But the kids are all very different too. The girls are all so athletic. Even the freshmen girls are strong looking. I wouldn't want to make any of them mad. All of them are taller then me too. I know I'm short, but some of the freshmen girls are taller then a lot of the senior boys. And some of the junior and senior girls have really big muscles. I hope I hit a growth spurt soon. I would at least like to be taller then the freshmen girls! There is a lot of talk about splitting boys and girls into separate high school classes and I can see why. Girls seem to dominate class discussions. I've tried to speak up a few times during class but I have basically given up. I don't feel like my opinion is taken seriously. I can hear girls snickering when I try to answer questions, and I often get interrupted. I think it would help if all the teachers weren't women. I don't think they take boys all that seriously either. There's so much more I could tell you about school and everything, but I don't have time. I'm sorry if this letter is too much of a downer. I just really miss you guys and wanted to let you know I'm okay. This place takes getting used to, but I'm adjusting. I'll be fine. I don't want you to worry about me. Please tell everybody that I am okay. I could keep rambling forever, but Brandi is standing behind me, waiting for me to finish this letter. I have to give it to her now. Take Care and Good Luck, Your buddy, Johnny Greg felt his chest tighten as he thought about the letter. Johnny was letting everyone there really push him around. Even his sister's babysitter seemed to tell him what to do. And Johnny made it sound like his mother's will dominated every aspect of his life. He knew the others, especially Nina, would love to know Johnny was okay. On the other hand, the letter was pretty depressing. It might be better not to reopen the wound. He decided not to show it to anybody. Greg wished hard that he could be there now to look out for Johnny. Greg knew he could teach him how to handle women. Even if they were athletic and tried to act like men, they were still women. How dare they tell Johnny he couldn't even write letters to his best friend? Greg never did tell anyone about the letter. He thought it would do more harm then good to the girls.
