KARRA AND AMBER THE GRANTHAM MEAN GIRLS by Hamlet The two friends Karra and Amber sat together in the Goose pub in Grantham. It was a Friday night after school and they were so happy to be together. They had been school friends, all their lives. In fact, since they had formed an all-girl gang at Walton Academy the Grantham Mean Girls, they would spread terror and fear but at the same time love and justice to the whole of Grantham .Karra the Black Mean Girl knew she was the biggest of the two and by far the toughest girl in school. She dressed as usual in a tight black leather jacket. leather trousers gloves and thigh length boots. carrying as always, a long leather strap with sharp studs to be used at all times on any victim she chose . Yet Amber the Coloured Mean Girl was in some ways even more vicious and sadistic than Karra.delighting beating her victim until they yelled for pity and mercy, she was dressed in leather too at all times in a tight leather jacket, gloves and knee length boots They had been Mean Girls most of their lives and were proud if it and loved to control and dominate other people. As Mean Girls they always wanted what other girls had at Walton Academy Whether it was clothes, looks, or even grades, as Mean Girls they were willing to go to any extreme to hurt the person that had what they wanted. For instance, as Mean Girls they would spread rumours, boycott a fellow pupil's parties, talk behind their back or even take steps to destroy their target's relationships and grades. What was more they always succeeded! . As Mean Girls they would be overly concerned with their hair, clothes, face, make-up and weight. Likewise, they would pick at these things in others humiliating them remorselessly constantly pointing out everything from acne and weight issues to clothing choices and hairstyles. They would even withhold friendship based on these issues. When they would talk, they would often talk about other girls in a mocking and demeaning way reducing them to tears. They were obsessed with what others thought of them. They considered how everything looked to them including where the other girl lived and how they dressed. They also had a strong desire to be respected and at the top of the social ladder in work and in sports in which they both excelled. As a result, they would do anything to get there including using other people. It was not uncommon for a Mean Girl to befriend someone based solely on where she lived and how she dressed. Additionally, as Mean Girls they would mercilessly bully others who threatened their status. For instance, if they perceived another pupil as a threat to their status or power, they had no qualms about attacking them physically in the most vicious way in order to eliminate the threat. . As Mean Girls they related to other pupils.by becoming involved constant little skirmishes surrounded by drama, which was more than just normal conflict. Mean Girls often are more like 'frenemies' than friends backbiting and gossiping about the girls they claim are their friends. . Often, Mean Girls would have an exclusive group of friends that they do everything with. They may even dress alike at times always in black leather. You would know they are a clique by the fact that it was so hard to be accepted by the group. Additionally, there were usually unspoken rules to be part of the group like a person's looks hairstyle or clothing choices. Lastly, Mean Girls were not interested in making friends with new pupils or hanging out with anyone who was not part of the group. Mean Girls were very controlling. In their relationships, they were clearly the ones in charge. As a result, other pupils willingly followed their lead or risked being forced out of the group or beaten black and blue. Meanwhile, other Mean Girls are followers. They would do anything to remain part of the group including becoming bullies themselves. To these Mean Girls, what others in the group thought and said was a priority to them. Because these Mean Girls often feared losing their status in the group, they would often bully others to fit in or be accepted. . Mean Girls like Karra and Amber always turned into Mean Women. What was worse was that they were Really Mean Girls (RMG) Mean Girls that came in three varieties. Mean. Nasty. Vicious. As RMGs Karra and Amber combined all three qualities! Laurie Jacquie and Belinda were Karra's best friends, and with Amber all five of them had now formally founded the Grantham Mean Girls (GMG) They were not pleased when a boy Simon tried into their circle. Instead of welcoming him, the Mean Girls teamed up against him, circling him like a pack of female wolves beating him and always bullying him without mercy. One of the Mean Girls would distract him, and the others would come up from behind and swipe his property and beat him senseless until he was screaming in pain. If he faced them head on, sometimes the Mean Girls didn't attack at once. But as soon as he turned his back, they would snap at him and then attack him. An observer said, "When they saw him, he just bugged them. they were immediately hostile" "They made his life a complete misery." Any comments to norselandic@hotmail.com TO BE CONTINUED
