GIA AND THE SUPA SISTAS by Hamlet The three friends Supa Star, Cerise and Gia all sat together in the Goldengrove pub in Stratford. It was a Friday night and they were so happy to be together again. They were all school friends, attended St Thomas More School In fact since the age of 13 they had been members of an all Girl gang the Supa Girls, who would spread terror and fear in the whole neighbourhood. Gia, who had organised the meeting, ers in a leather skirt and knee length boots, which were to become the feared hallmark of the newly formed Supa Sistas, who would make the Richardson's ad the Kraus look like boy scouts and would become the most freed gang in the history of east London. The Supa Sistas would become the female Richardsons. The Richardson Gang was an English crime gang based in South London, England, in the 1960s. Also known as the "Torture Gang", they had a reputation as some of London's most sadistic gangsters. Their alleged specialities included pulling teeth using pliers, cutting off toes using bolt cutters, and nailing victims to the floor using 6-inch nails. Gia been a Supa Girl like them all Her life and was proud if it and loved to control other people. As a Supa Girl She always wanted what other girls had at school. Whether it was clothes, looks, boyfriends or even grades, as a Supa Girl She was willing to go to any extreme to hurt the person that has what they want. For instance, as Supa Girl She would spread rumours boycott a fellow pupil's parties, talk behind their back or even take steps to destroy their relationships. As Supa Girl She would be overly concerned with Her hair, Her clothes, Her face, Her make-up and Her weight. Likewise, She would pick at these things in others pointing out everything from acne and weight issues to clothing choices and hairstyles. Supa Girls would even withhold friendship based on these issues. When a Supa Girl would talk, She would often talk about other Girls in a mocking and demeaning way. Supa Girls were often obsessed with what others thought of them. They considered how everything looks to others including where they lived and how they dressed, to what car they drove and which boy they dated. They also had a strong desire to be popular and at the top of the social ladder. As a result, they would do anything to get there including using other people. It is not uncommon for a Supa Girl to befriend someone based solely on where She lived and how She dressed. Additionally, Supa Girls will bully others who threaten their status. For instance, if they perceive another pupil as a threat to their status or popularity, they have no qualms about attacking him/her in order to eliminate the threat. One sure-fire way to spot a Supa Girl was to look at how She related to other pupils. If She was regularly in little skirmishes with other pupils or was surrounded by drama, there may be more to it than just normal conflict. Supa Girls often are more like females than friends backbiting and gossiping about the Girls they claim are their friends. Oftentimes, Supa Girls would have an exclusive group of friends that they do everything with. They may even dress alike at times. You will know a group is a clique by the fact that it is so hard to be accepted by the group. Additionally, there are usually unspoken rules to be part of the group like a person's looks hairstyle or clothing choices. Lastly, Supa Girls are not interested in making friends with new pupils or hanging out with anyone who is not part of the group. Supa Girls are very controlling. In their relationships, they are clearly the ones in charge. As a result, other pupils willingly follow their lead or risk being forced out of the group. Meanwhile, Supa Girls will do anything to remain part of the group including becoming bullies. To these Supa Girls, what others in the group think and say is a priority to them. Because these Girls often fear losing their status in the group, they will often bully others to fit in or be accepted. Supa Girls like Gia are determined to become Supa Sistas. What was worse was that Gia was a Really Supa Girl and none of the methods advised to deal with Her worked Supa Girls come in three varieties. Mean. Nasty. Vicious. I wish I could say it gets better as you get older, but it doesn't. Supa Girls like Lorri turn into Supa Sistas. Gia, Supa Star, and Cerise were the best of friends and not pleased when a boy came into their circle. Instead of welcoming him the three Girls teamed up against him, circling him like a pack of wolves. One of the Girls would distract him, and the others would come up from behind and swipe his possessions. Any comments to norselandic@hotmail.com
