KIM CONTINUES HER PURSUIT OF THE DRUG DEALERS

Roy came into The Roebuck at his regular time. After he was seated at the bar,
Kim made her way down to him.

"I need to see you." she said "I have a break in an hour. I'll be outside in
the parking lot. Meet me there."

She moved quickly away. Kim didn't even look at Roy the rest of the evening
until it was time for her break. As soon as she left, Roy hailed the other
bartender and aid his bill. He was walking through the shadows toward his car,
when a strong arm reached out from the shadows and pulled him to the side of
the building. Three men had come out of The Roebuck right behind Roy.

Before he knew what was happening, those strong arms wrapped around him as Kim
pulled his head down in what was a very passionate kiss. The men laughed, one
of them applauded, and they got in their car and drove away.

"Save it for later." she whispered as she broke the kiss. "We have work to do
now."

She explained to Roy what had transpired so far. She told him that the cocaine
was definitely in the Global Enterprise warehouse and how the containers were
identified.

"If you see any of these men doing anything out of the ordinary, call me. I
don't care

what time it is, we have to catch them with the goods so we have to know how
they plan to move the stuff." Kim continued. "Can you get into the Global
building any time you want?"

"Yes, it's not difficult. Since we do business worldwide some of us are always
coming at strange hours to match the business hours in other countries. As
long as I didn't show up several days in a row, nobody would be suspicious,
it's just a part of doing business in the international marketplace."

"Good!" Kim said. "I hate to ask you to stay up late, but tonight I get off at
2:00AM. Could you get me into the building then?"

"I don't mind staying up late, but why do you want to get into the building?"
Roy asked

. "I want to plant listening devices in Valance and Shenton's offices. We need
to know what they are planning, and while you have been very helpful, I know
you can't get access to that information. Is there extra security on that
floor?".

"You're going to bug their offices? Oh God Kim, I don't know about that.".

Roy was concerned about that. Reluctantly, he said "There is extra security on
that floor, but since I was promoted to sales manager, my office is on that
floor."

"Roy, you have signed on to help me and the ROJ (Royal Overseas Judges). You
have done plenty, and you will either do as we say or we will arrest you for
obstruction and non-cooperation which will have very serious consequences for
you. If you don't do as we say we probably will never catch them with the
cocaine in their possession and the cocaine running will only get worse."

"I'll do it." Roy said obediently.

"Are you sure? Because if you aren't, this is the time to back out Once we're
in the building, you're along for the whole ride and you're in serious trouble
if you don't cooperate with us."

Roy replied quickly. "No, I'm sure. I know what you are trying to do is right
and I don't want to be in trouble with you and the ROJ. I despise drugs, too.
Plus, you know I would do anything you ask."

"Meet me at my flat a little after 2:00AM, then".

Kim grabbed him and gave him a long, deep, kiss right down his throat

. "The first one was for show. This one was for you! ",.

She spun around and raced back inside The Roebuck leaving Roy standing alone
in the darkness.

"That sure is one hell of a Woman" he thought as he made his way to his car
and prepared to wait for her.

Roy was parked outside Kim's flat when he saw he pull in. He had been dozing
off. He checked his watch, 2:14 AM. Kim approached his car and he got out.

"I just need a couple of minutes to get my equipment out of my flat." she
said. "I'll wait for you here,"

When Kim came out, she was carrying a travel bag in her hand and she had
changed clothes and put on makeup. The tight leather dress she was wearing was
similar to the one she wore on their dinner date, but this one was dark green.
Her upper shoulders were covered by a matching leather jacket and she wore
skin tight leather gloves.

"God, you're beautiful." Roy blurted out in spite of himself.

Kim smiled at him. "I'm your date tonight. We were out when you realized you
needed to make this phone call to an international customer. Since you don't
expect to be here long, it was easier to bring me than take me home and come
back. How does that sound?"

Roy got a sheepish look on his face. "Actually, I have done exactly that
before." he admitted. Even in the darkness Kim thought she could see him
blush. She went around to the passenger side and got in.

"Let's get this show on the road." and with that they drove off toward the
Global building.

There was a security guard sitting at a large console in the lobby. Roy knew
him. Roy gave him the date story. The guard grinned at him. It was obvious
that Roy had done this before. The guard had Roy sign in and waved them
through, his eyes never leaving Kim.

"Make sure all you do up there is make phone calls, Mr. Cripps." he smirked.
Kim

tried to look embarrassed, as a date in her situation would. They reached the
top floor without incident

"Who can I call at 2:45 in the morning?" Roy asked.

"Why me, silly. Call my machine, talk for a few minutes and hang up. Call down
to the security guard and tell him you have to call back in fifteen minutes.
Then at the right time, call my machine again. Stay on for ten minutes. I
should be finished by then.".

Roy must have had a concerned look on his face because Kim said, "Relax. This
will be a piece of cake."

Roy showed Kim where the two offices were. She went to Shenton' office first.
After a quick scan of the office, she unscrewed the telephone mouth piece and
put one the small devices there. Next, she attached one of them to the
underside desk drawer, and hurried out of Shenton' office. Roy was standing in
the hallway. "One down, one to go." she waved.

Kim entered Valance's office. It was much larger than the office of Shenton,
and

required some thought about where to place the bugs. She went right to the
phone to install the first one. For the second she decided on a potted plant
that was near the desk. The third she placed in a chandelier that was hanging
over a small conference table in the back. The last one she placed in the base
of a lamp that was in a seating area containing a sofa and two chairs. Kim
took one last look around the office and satisfied with her work, left the
office. She got back to Roy's office as he was hanging up the phone.

"Your answering machine is not a great conversationalist." he said. "Are you
finished?".

"You bet! Let's get out of here!". They entered the elevator and punched the
button for the first floor.

As the elevator neared the first floor, Kim said, "The guard will be expecting
this." and placed her arm in his and laid her head on his shoulder. She hoped
she could look dreamy-eyed enough to impress the guard. The guard chuckled and
waved them through. Kim separated from Roy as soon as they cleared the
building.

"Whew! That went off without a hitch. We should be able to keep up with
anything they plan to do from now on"

Roy didn't say anything.

When they got back to Kim's flat, she opened the door and got out. Without a
word Roy got out of the car and moved to help her. He was a bit annoyed at the
way Kim could turn on and off toward him. She popped the trunk and pointed out
what needed to be taken in. She gathered up most of what needed to go in
leaving one small box for Roy. She unlocked the door and they entered the
apartment.

"Put it on the dinner table. I'll set it up from there."

Roy placed the box on the table and turned to leave.

"It's 3:40 in the morning. It's stupid for you to drive home. That's another
thirty minutes. Spend the night here." Kim said.

"No, I'd better go home." Roy said, still irritated about her actions. Kim
positioned her huge frame between him and the door.

"If you try to leave, you'll have to go through me. I knocked you out once and
I can

f---g well do it again if I have to". Kim said with her right fist clenched
and raised.

This time she had a big grin on her face, so Roy thought she might be joking
but he had no doubt she could easily carry out her threat if she wanted to.

"YOU WILL SPEND THE NIGHT WITH ME OR ELSE ROY!"
