JOYANN BEGINS HER MISSION TO THE CONGO

Joyann the Black Scorpion looked out of her cabin on the luxurious JLA
(Justice League Airways) flight from Pointe Noire off the Congolese coast to
Bukavu in the Congo. This was a distance of 2800 KMS or .1740 miles that with
the supersonic speed of the aircraft would take just under 3 hours which meant
that having left the Carrier QGS Queen Andromache at 6 AM she would arrive
with her Colleague Justice Manita in Bukavu around 8.45 AM.

Joyann could see the beneath her. the� Itombwe Mountains� which were a range
of mountains in the� South Kivu� Province of the� Democratic Republic of the
Congo� (DRC). They ran along the west shore of the northern part of� Lake
Tanganyika. They contained a vast area of mountain forest and were home to a
rich diversity of wildlife..

They were home to endangered� lowland gorillas,� chimpanzees� and� African
bush elephants. A survey in 1996 estimated that there were at least 860
gorillas in the Mountains.� The survey recorded fifty-six species of mammals.�
The Mountains were much the most important part of the Rift Highlands for bird
conservation, being home to 32 of the 37 species of bird endemic in the
Highlands.

Joyann had been told that her Mission in the Congo was for her and Justice
Manita to go to the Congo and restore order out of chaos . She had been sent
in there to establish the Rule of Law and to impose order and discipline as a
member of the Justice League a Black Scorpion and honorary Norselandic Citizen

.She had been informed by her Superiors in Norseland that a Norselandic doctor
Erik Hammarskjold has been kidnapped at gunpoint by a guerrilla group called
the Allied Democratic Forces. They had taken him to a remote corner of the
country probably in Kivu Province. They had threatened to cut a piece of him
of a day unless the Congolese Government released all the members of the ADF
who were in prison. She had been told he was a world-renowned doctor and an
expert in AIDS prevention

The Norselandic Government would take a very serious view if any harm came to
him. In fact, the Norselandic Premier Patricia Ingvoll has warned the
Congolese President F�lix Tshisekedi that if there were any more kidnappings
of Norselandic Citizens then ruthless action would be taken including the
Justice Leaugue occupying the whole of Kivu Province as a major centre of
crime and guerrilla activity.

She had been told that her and Manita would have to destroy the guerrilla
group ADF Their Mission was to free Dr Hammarskjold, kill as many members of
the ADF as possible and concentrate on restoring order and discipline in
lawless Kivu Province.

If they needed any assistance reinforcements of the JL and the terrifying and
world-renowned Cheetah aircraft of the RNAF (Royal Norselandic Air Force)
would be sent in at once. The Aircraft Carrier the QGS Queen Andromache off
the Congolese coast with Senior Commander Xena Bitchaasdottir in command was
stationed there ready to move in and if necessary, send in the JL to occupy
the whole Kivu Province by force.

The previous day Joyann had flown directly to the Carrier QGS Queen Andromache
from Norseland, anchored off the coast of Congo 10 KMS from Pointe Noire in
Congo Brazzaville,She had flown there on the Berchta supersonic aircraft the
fastest aircraft in the world

Joyann and Manita were to begin their attack the headquarters of the ADF from
a helicopter gunship launched from the QGS Queen Andromache. They would show
no mercy inflicting the most extreme violence conceivable.on the guerillas
Joyann would personally, put the leader of the ADF Baluku to death in the most
painful way imaginable enjoying every minute of it!

Meanwhile back on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower which the JL had just attacked
Commander Brigitte Nordheim of the Royal Divers Unit stood over US Commander
Haley holding him down hard onto the table determined to humiliate him as much
