Part 1

Wealthy socialite, Margarita Van Pelt, was just putting the finishing touches on her makeup, preparatory  to leaving for a charity gala, she was sponsoring, when her orphaned niece and ward, Fleur, came bursting into her room.

"Aunt Maggy, Aunt Maggy!  I just heard on the evening news, that your old friend Dark Adder escaped from the State Penitentiary.

"Oh Dear!  There goes the banquet!"  Margarita said with a slight frown, though secretly she wasn't too unhappy for an excuse to escape a boring evening.  She was more concerned at the danger posed to the City, by the most dastardly villainess in the State's history.  Though only a few years older than twenty-year-old Fleur, the vicious young woman, known as Dark Adder, had committed the vilest of crimes, in her youthful career.  The police had seemed powerless, and if not for the intervention of the superheroine called Wildfire, she might still be the sinister Boss of Bosses.

"Well, you know what that means?"  Margarita smiled to her niece.

"Yep, I'm all ready!"  Fleur grinned, and pulled off the robe she was wearing. The girl was almost quivering in eagerness.  Underneath her robe, the tall athletic, young blonde wore a brief, red outfit and white boots.

Margarita swiftly changed into a similar blue outfit.  Like her niece, she displayed an amazingly powerful, athletic form, and was even taller than the younger woman.  She shook loose her long, fiery, red hair, as she opened a concealed wall safe.  From the safe, Margarita took a small lacquered casket.  She opened the intricate oriental lock, and the lid snapped open.

Inside the casket were two huge ruby pendants on gold chains. These were the fabulous Solar Rubies.  Margarita's grandfather, Nicholas Van Pelt, explorer, adventurer, industrialist, and the founder of the vast Van Pelt fortune, had discovered the jewels in a remote area of the Himalayas.  The old man left them as a secret legacy for his family.   It was legacy of service, for the Solar Rubies imparted incredible strength, and other incredible powers to the wearer, drawing directly on on the rays of the sun for energy.

The two Van Pelt women almost reverently  suspended the pendants around their necks.  Each felt a jolt of incredible power blaze through her body.

"This is job for Wildfire and Flame!" The younger woman said proudly.

Pausing only long enough to telephone, Margarita Van Pelt's regrets at missing the banquet, Wildfire led her young partner to the roof of the stately, old, Van Pelt Mansion.

Taking Flame's hand, Wildfire said:  "There's an old cabin, Dark Adder sometimes used as her headquarters. We'll check that out first!"

Then the crime fighting duo leaped off the high roof, into thin air.  A moment later, instead of plummeting to the hard ground, fifty feet below, they soared high into the air, with the  nimbleness of a pair of eagles.

In almost no time, the dynamic duo reached their objective.  The sun was just about to set, as they landed in a little woods, a short distance from the old, deserted farmhouse, that was Dark Adder's last known hideout.

"I'll search the house, Flame, while you look around out here!"  Wildfire told her young partner.
"You be careful, now, hear!  Dark Adder is tricky and dangerous!"

"Sure thing, Wildfire!"  Flame replied cheerfully.  She knew her aunt was sometimes overly protective, and tended to shield her, from the worst dangers of their missions of justice.  While Wildfire sped off toward the house, Flame searched the fast darkening woods.  Her sharp, young eyes, made even keener by the Solar Ruby round her neck, spotted a tunnel opening, hastily concealed with brush.  Flame tossed the branches aside.

"Guess I better investigate this!  It looks pretty suspicious!"  The young crimefighter muttered, a little smugly, not averse to being one up, on her experienced partner, for a change.  Without a further thought, she brashly plunged into the tunnel.

Wildfire returned to the wooded area, a half hour later.  She had found nothing suspicious at the farm house.  Flame was no where to be seen. Wildfire searched the area, a little anxiously. She knew her niece was headstrong and afraid of nothing, prone to taking unnecessary chances.  It had grown darker, and it took the mature heroine a bit longer, than it had Flame, before she found the concealed tunnel.

Wildfire stepped inside, looking for signs of her young partner.  She only took a few steps, when she became aware, that the tunnel walls were designed to shield the area from the life-giving rays of the sun, that powered the Solar Rubies.

"Uh-oh! I'm sure this is the work of Dark Adder, and I bet Flame is down there, and without the power of the Solar Ruby, too!  I better get down there, myself, quick!"  Wildfire thought, resolutely.  Then with a confident smile, the gallant crimefighter murmured:  "Well, even without the Solar Rubies, I guess Flame, or I, are more than a match for that skinny, little witch.  Either one of us could handle her, with one hand tied behind our back!"  Wildfire hurried purposefully down the shadowy passageway.

When Flame entered the tunnel, earlier, she found it too narrow, to fly.  Without pausing, she ran headlong down the long passage.  Less experienced than her aunt; at first, she did not notice the lessening of her Solar powers.

In the recesses of a cave, at the end of the long, winding tunnel, a shadowy figure glanced at a wall monitor showing the entrance of the tunnel.  "Looks like I have company!"  The masked woman muttered,

It was only when the tunnel opened into a large cave, and Flame paused a moment before entering,  that she realized that she had lost her Solar powers.  "Huh!  this place must be shielded!"  The young heroine thought.  "Well, we'll see if that does that nasty Dark Adder any good!"

Just then, Dark Adder, herself, stepped out of the shadows.

"Well, what have we here?  You must be Wildfire's new little girl friend!  I read about you!"

"I'm Flame!" The costumed, blonde girl replied proudly. The gallant, young heroine eagerly confronted the dastardly villainess.  "Boy, it'd be great if I captured this witch all by myself, without Wildfire's help! That'd prove to her, that I'm ready for anything!"  She thought.  Capturing Dark Adder, and breaking up her crime cartel, had been Wildfire's greatest coup.  It happened shortly before Flame joined her aunt, as a crimefighter, and she was sorry she'd missed the fun. Now, she'd have a chance to make up for that loss!

Dark Adder laughed at the younger girl's serious demeanor.  "I heard that you're Wildfires little pussy sucker!"  Dark Adder taunted the other girl.  "She wanted me to to go down for her, but I told her, that I might like girls, sometimes, but not any old bag like her!"

In truth, when captured,  Dark Adder had tried to bribe her way to freedom by making provocative advances to the mature redhead.  Despite her hatred for the crimefighter, the villainous criminal was, perversely, strongly attracted to her arch-nemessis.  Wildfire had been shocked, and, of course, indignantly repulsed the depraved offer.

Flame, better than anyone, knew that Wildfire was uncompromising, righteously heterosexual, and disgusted by any sexual perversity, of whatever nature.  Flame idolized her guardian, and these filthy aspersions on the older crimefighter's character, filled her with disgust and fury.  The young crimefighter was so overcome, by her anger at Dark Adder's insulting references to her beloved aunt, that she forgot everything Wildfire taught her, in her eagerness to tear the vicious criminal to shreds.

As Flame rashly attacked, the crafty Dark Adder slipped to one side, and extended her booted foot.  A little shove, and Flame pitched headlong to the floor.

Flame's gorgeous breasts had hardly splatted on the hard floor, when Dark Adder pounced on her broad, muscled back.

Even without the power of the Solar Ruby, Flame was  an incredibly strong, athletic young lady.  She stubbornly forced her way to her feet, with Dark Adder clinging to her back.  Before Flame could benefit from her impressive feat of strength, though, the wily villainess leapt clear.

Dark Adder darted to the side, and buried her fist in Flame's taut, young belly.

The young crimefighter doubled over in pain, and Dark Adder karate-chopped the back of her neck, then followed up, with a knee to Flame's chin.

Dark Adder hammered her fist down on Flame's kidneys, and then grabbed two handfuls of the girl heroine's skin-tight briefs. With a flick of her strong wrists, she somersaulted Flame over on her back
