Escaping from the maximum security prison where she was serving a life sentence for murder and arson, Roberta Conners bolted to South America, and fled deep into the Amazon Jungle, hoping to elude recapture.  Far beyond the last outposts of civilization, the fugitive encountered a lost race of Amazons, long thought to be no more than a legend. Though they lived peacefully according to their Rules of Love and Honor for the Goddess, they could be fierce warriors when threatened by outsiders. Roberta threw herself upon the mercy of their ruler, Queen Argentia. The kind hearted Argentia graciously granted the stranger asylum.

It wasn't long before Roberta fomented trouble, lying and cheating the innocent jungle women and bullying the younger weaker Amazons. Hearing of the trouble, Argentia sought out the stranger to warn her that her evil must stop, or she would be expelled form the land of Amazons.

The hardened criminal sneered at kind Argentia's well meant warning, and struck her in anger.

The Queen's fierce Amazon attendants were enraged by Roberta's disrespect to their beloved ruler, and nearly tore the evil intruder to pieces, but Argentia intervened.

The proud queen accepted the stranger's challenge to a battle for supremacy, gallantly forbidding her loyal Amazons to interfere in any way, and admonishing them to peacefully accept the results of the contest, no matter what the outcome.

Though she fought in the villainous, underhanded fashion of the prison yard, the battle initially went against the overconfident Roberta, as the far stronger queen flung her about like a rag doll.  The fugitive seethed with rage at being so humiliated in front of all of the Amazons, for by now most of the tribe had gathered to watch their mighty queen chastise the impudent outsider for her transgressions.  Roberta, calling upon her considerable Martial Arts skills, vowed to retaliate with a vengeance.
