Clone War 4, In-law Trouble. Part 1.

In a suburban home on the outskirts of the great City, a former Amazon Princess, and once, World renowned crimefighter, sat nursing her infant twins, sadly reflecting on the state of her marriage.

In her lonely life of a house-bound mother and homemaker, Diana had gotten into the habit of speaking to the children as though they understood. Even if they didn't understand, they at least listened to her, which no one else seemed to do these days.

"Your daddy can't come with us to your pediatrician's appointment this afternoon! He has 'business' with his 'colleague' that female creature Mark 1!"

Mark 1, sometimes called Lois, was, like Diana's own masterful husband, Mark 2, also known as Steve, the cloned creation of the evil, criminal scientist, Lex.  Through subterfuge, Mark 1 became the dominant bride of another world famous superhero, now forcibly retired from crimefighting and living the unhappy existence of a very abused and battered househusband.

"Oh how I hate that  BITCH!" Diana thought to herself, in impotent fury, knowing there was nothing she could do about Mark 1. Once the most masterful of women, Diana had learned her subordinate place in life the hard way.

Bound by the power of her own Magic Lasso to perpetually worship and obey her evil clone husband, the unfortunate Amazon wife, placed all the blame for the suspected dalliance upon the 'other woman'. Shortly after the twins were born, Diana had indignantly confronted Mark 1 with her suspicions.

Mark 1 had sneeringly retorted to Diana's accusations. "What of it?"  Then, without warning, the tiny, girlish clone had contemptuously smacked the tall Amazon Warrior silly, for her presumption. The terrible blows nearly tore Diana's head off, and did strike her to the ground in stunned terror.

Mark 1 stood over Diana, laughing at her sobbing distress, before flouncing off. It was a mortifying, unnerving and very painful experience for one born a haughty, unapproachable Princess and until so recently the most powerful superheroine on earth.

Diana was too ashamed to even tell her husband about the frightful, humiliating bitch-slapping Mark 1 inflicted on her. Since that day, the unhappy Amazon endured her marital misery in silent resignation.

Somewhat later, after Diana and the twins departed for their medical appointment, the two evil clones concluded their 'business' in the master bedroom of the Trevor home.

As the two adulterous clones lay chatting, out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, they jumped from the bed to see what was the matter. Mark 1 ran to the window and peeked out. It wasn't jolly old Saint Nick!

"Jesus! it looks like some kind of transparent airplane parked on your front lawn, and there's the biggest bitch I ever saw, hammering on your front door! She's wearing a crown!"

"Shit! Sounds like my mother-in-law, the Queen of the Amazons!" The usually low-key Mark 2 nearly snarled, in loathing.

"Let me go greet her!"  Mark 1 offered. "I've heard so much about her, I'd like to meet sweet, little Diana's Mom!"

"Suit yourself!" Mark 2 replied, complacently envisioning Mark 1's 'greeting'.

Mark 1 swiftly pulled on her skirt, blouse and shoes, and hurried eagerly to answer the front door.

As soon as Mark 1 opened the door, Queen Hippolyta, in all her Queenly grandeur, without waiting to be invited, marched inside, incensed at being kept waiting.

It must be confessed, that considering her Royal dignity affronted, Hippolyta was none to gracious in her salutations to Mark 1.

It must also be confessed, that Mark 1's return greeting was, likewise, far from gracious. Without warning, like a trod upon rattlesnake, the evil clone viciously attacked the Mighty Amazon Queen. Considering the enormous disparity in size, the act would have seemed more than foolhardy, to one unaware of Mark 1's own super powers.

As the Amazon Queen stood transfixed by the pain of the blow, a blow that surpassed  the power of any of her Amazon Warriors, the evil clone taunted her.

Long centuries of Amazon Discipline and rigorous martial drill made the Queen the most formidable of Warriors.  With The Goddess Hera's own Girdle cinched about her trim waist, she was the  mightiest woman on the planet, virtually invincible, her might eclipsing even that of her better known daughter. Except in practice sessions with her Amazon subjects, no mortal dared strike the Queen since she was said to have fought the mighty Demigod Hercules on equal terms, in times lost in legend. For a moment, Hippolyta fell back in wonder, that this slip of a girl should dare attack her. Then Regal hauteur outraged, the Queen struck back, with her open hand, not even deigning to use her hard fist.

Even the evil Mark1, who had vanquished the World's Mightiest Superhero, and turned him into her spineless slave and plaything, was staggered by Hippolyta's might. The Queen grabbed her blouse and lifted Mark 1, kicking and squealing, off the floor, then calmly repeated her question.

Yet, even dangling from the Queen's brawny arm, the resourceful clone was far from helpless. From midair, she kicked Hippolyta between the legs.

Hippolyta dropped Mark 1, to briefly nurse her painful injury. Now, she was really angry, at this gross violation of the chivalrous Amazonian code of combat.

A moment later, Hippolyta, fast recovered from the painful kick, struck again, with her fist this time. It was a fist nearly as big as Mark 1's head.

Hippolyta's punch to the face would have felled a large oak tree. Amazingly, the blow did not fell Mark 1, however. In fact she hardly seemed fazed by it, and instantly retaliated, launching a kick to the Queen's solar plexus.

Two more kicks followed Mark 1's first, in rapid succession.

As Hippolyta reeled away from the lightening fast kicks, Mark 1 struck her on the jaw with a blow of stunning power. The tremendous force of the punch catapulted Hippolyta over backward.

As Hippolyta toppled backward, Mark 1 kicked her in the back, nearly snapping her spine.

For a moment, the mightiest of Amazon warriors, could do nothing more than sit on the floor rubbing her painfully numbed back, as Mark 1 cruelly taunted her.
