SYNOPSIS :  Being a scientist OR an astronaut does NOT stop you from

Miami isn't all that far from Cape Canaveral and the astronauts

" Wanna drink ? "  one of the women, who appeared to be  Japanese
inquired." 
 
" We've got a cooler full ," a gorgeous African-American chimed in.

she  patted the sand close to her.
 
Evilena nodded as the sexy Asian handed her a drink, with an umbrella in
it, and giggled. 
 
"Konban Wa," the blonde newcomer responded in an unaccented Japanese. 
 
The pretty Asian  woman bowed slightly  and smiled. " Konban Wa.  My name
is Naoko ."
 
"I'm  Evilena," she spoke after sipping from the drink, " and you two  ?"
 
"I'm Dottie," the tall brunette replied , and that's Steffy," she
continued, pointing to the African -American woman. "So .  What are YOU
doing on the beach to night ? We're trying to unwind because of a big job
we are doing in a couple of days."
 
"I just love to watch the waves. I often come down here to look at the
sea, I'm a scientist, and did my graduate work in oceanography   , and I
just love to look at the water.  What kind of big job?" Evilena  said as
she sipped.
 
"Actually, we aren't supposed to tell people, " Naoko giggled, obviously
feeling the effects of her frou frou drink.  " But you look like the kind
of a girl who can keep a secret.  We're going to fly to the space
station, we're NASA astronauts.... shhhh... "  She playfully lifted her
hand to her mouth and gasped. " Did I say that out loud ?"
 
" Funny that you are a scientist, too,  the black woman interrupted, " 
I'm an engineer, and Dottie here is a geology teacher.   Naoko is an
aerospace engineer , but she loves scuba diving, so you two have a lot
 in common."
 
The tipsy Asian smiled broadly at Evilena, " And I'm just as nervous
tonight as I was the first time I did a deep dive in the Sea of Japan. 
It's my first mission and I'm gonna get good and drunk and screw up my
'Dutch courage' get it ?  Japanese ? Dutch Courage ? " and then she took
another long pull at her drink.
 
The blond smiled at her and replied, " You know I could probably help you
with that nervousness.  I understand how hard it is to even get through a
 day,  when you are so excited about something. I know how tired you must
feel, keeping up that level of nervousness and excitement. You know, I'm
a very good hypnotist, and have helped many people  with their fears and

The Asian beauty glanced over at her two companions. " Can they stay and
watch ?"

steady, regular pounding of the waves, washing ashore,  over the sand,

relaxing voice. The waves crashing on the beach, over and over, steady

Naoko's shoulders slumped slightly  and she sighed.
 
" So, I just want you to  listen carefully , and those  two wonderful,

woman's temples.The lovely Japanese woman's lips slowly parted and her
eyelids fluttered.

waves keep up their regular, steady beat... Just as the waves wash
