Amazon.com makes Christmas so much easier. I make a wish list and email everyone who is likely to want to buy me anything. Also it means I can avoid the painful experience of Oxford Street in December by buying presents for other folks at Amazon.
December 27 - we had about a tenth of an inch of snow, and another light dusting on the 28th.

Another server filled, another server started.
A few drives failed in a few servers, and got replaced using the £67 300gb drives. No big problems.
Look out for a new cam system in the new year.
Nothing new.
The Brooklyn Boomers defeated the Tremanators 127-101 to win the championship of the DTV FFL. This is the Boomers second championship in three years.
Our congratulations go to the Boomers as they take home the Championship Cup for the second time.
I got a photo printer, just for fun. It's a Canon Selphy, and it does make very good prints.
I don't make these up, although the comments on the spams are mine, of course. These are actual spams sent to me, which just strike me as funny. I don't include their contact details - go find your own spammers!
By the way, if you're using StoneColdMail
(which is free to web site members) then you won't see most of these spams, they'll be delivered
into your "Spam" folder.
We apologize and hope you will take a jaundiced view at medicaments we sell.
I certainly take a jaundiced view of you sending me spam.
Order for Gallows
I've always wanted one of those.
Most of the sponsorships now are by giving women server space and bandwidth, so they can operate their web sites without having to pay these fees. There's also photoshoots, which gets some revenue into their hands, as well as the traditional direct-funding sponsorship.
Another new site, Ultimate Amazons, and also Zebodoy

The magnificent Tre at the top spot, chased by Tom and Boomer
There's been a major discussion on my board, about the message board software. Once again, we're talking about the idea of changing to a different software package, possibly to YaBB (that's the package I put on Herbiceps and other sites). But I've also been changing the existing software to accomodate many of the things that people say they want.
Look here to see a new style of board, with threads, and multiple posts on the same page, and the ability to handle as many inline links as you want to have. The old style of viewing the boards will still be available when that version of the software starts to be used.

Sport and politics, but also my message board did well; mostly the long-running controversy over Sarah's board. | Steve and Zig again |
Mavis is counting the number of times the message list is checked for each board. This gives a very different picture from the one above.

I checked the site statistics that Sandra counts up each night.
At the end of December 2005, there were about 886,000 pictures (68 gigabytes), 175 gigabytes of video, 10,000 text files (mostly stories) and a total of about 244 gigabytes. There's about 175 million pictures altogether in Newsthumbs, increasing at about 5 million per month.
