Thanks all, and as always, I hope you all Enjoy! *** ********** Stephen sat in the audience and watched as Shauna came out onto the stage. He would have liked it if she found him in the audience and maybe just gave him a quick wink or something to show him a little bit of extra attention, but that didn't happen. She was focused on putting on a show for everyone watching and not just him. Damn, she sure looked sexy. Her dark hair was up in a bun, but that tight black ballet outfit she had on showed off her great body. Her body was extremely sexy, but she normally didn't wear the kinds of clothes that showed it off. When they went out she'd often wear clothes that were somewhat baggy or concealing. That was her style because she was a shy girl. That's how Stephen was able to get with a girl that was so hot, because she was too shy to realize how hot she really was. But when it came time to dance, that was the only time she wasn't shy. She didn't necessarily like the attention of being on stage in front of everyone, but she was so passionate about ballet that it was like she wasn't even thinking about that when she was up there. She had tights on that hugged her sexy and muscular legs. She was only about 5'6", but her legs were quite long for her height, and her legs were very strong and muscular from all of the ballet the 22-year-old woman did. Stephen was 27, and when they had sex it felt like Shauna had stronger legs than he did although, which became quite noticeable during their more passionate sexual sessions, and his sore body afterwards, though in the end he never actually thought about it that way. Shauna began to move on stage and she had the attention of everyone. She was the best at what she did and she always got a ton of praise from everyone because of it. She moved around that stage with such grace and such skill, and all eyes in the audience were right on her, admiring how talented she was. All of her friends were watching her and they were so proud of her. After the recital they'd go out and give her attention for how great she was, while they wouldn't pay attention to Stephen at all. Some of his friends showed up as well, they said they were there just to watch her skills, but Stephen knew his friends and he knew that wasn't it at all. They thought she was Hot and she turned them on, so any chance to see more of her shapely, sexy body (especially since she normally didn't dress as such) was a big draw for them. They never said it to his face but he wasn't dumb and he even would occasionally hear chit-chat about that behind his back that he didn't appreciate. He felt if he ever slipped up with Shauna that plenty of guys, apparently even his own friends, would be there ready to pick her up. That always made him feel insecure. He watched her spinning around, jumping around, and doing all other sorts of things on the stage that it took incredible skill to do. He looked at how sexy her legs looked as she did it and although he should have been proud that she was his, it just added to his jealousy. He didn't have any skills like that, there was nothing special that he could do. Would she realize that someday and leave him for someone that did? Shauna then finished up and looked so humble as she stood there and waited for her applause. She got quite the ovation and most people in the audience were standing up. Stephen didn't feel quite like standing up, but with everyone else doing it he didn't have much of a choice. Shauna had a humble smile on her face and she then left the stage. They all went out for pizza afterwards and it was just as Stephen expected it to be. He and Shauna were sitting right next to each other, even though he was her boyfriend he may as well not have been. She did her best to give him attention, but everyone was just talking to her like he wasn't there. It wasn't normally like that when they went out. Shauna was a shy girl and because of that Stephen could get as much attention from her as he so desired - but after her recitals it was different. The two were very similar, but Shauna had that one thing she excelled at and Stephen didn't have anything like that. He decided he really needed something. The next day Stephen was online looking a different sports he could take up. But the thought of any of them intimidated him, not being an overly physical guy himself. He had tried football, basketball, and baseball before but he wasn't tough or coordinated enough to play any of those. He feared he would just make a fool of himself if he tried. Then he came across an ad for a karate class. It said 'All levels welcome'. It made sense. Karate seemed different to Stephen than other sports because it seemed like something he could pick up at his age and still have plenty of time to master, unlike a sport like football. Yes, this would be perfect! "So you want to watch a movie or something tonight?" Shauna asked him when they were having lunch the following day. "Can't tonight" he said, which he knew she wouldn't be too pleased about since they normally hung out on Tuesday nights. "Oh OK" she said sounding a bit disappointed. "How come?" She had a very timid sounding voice and even when she was given news that she didn't want to hear she still sounded so sweet. Stephen looked at his pretty girlfriend. She had long dark hair that was a bit curly and a bit frizzy. She had very pretty blue eyes but she always looked a bit nervous. Her skin was quite pale but she was just so cute overall - and of course her body was about as perfect as he could imagine. "I'm starting a karate class" he said to her and he felt embarrassed to say that for some reason. "Really?" she replied back to him. "You never told me you were going to do that." "I didn't know I had to get your permission" he said and kind of snapped at her. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that" Shauna said apologetically like she always was even when he was in the wrong. "I just didn't know about it, that's all. Can I do it with you?" "Why would you want to do that?" he asked and he was a bit less harsh than he was with his last statement. "Would just be nice to have something else we can do together" she said. The plan was for Stephen to learn something that he would be exclusively good at and Shauna joining with him at the same time was going to throw off that plan; but she was just so sweet looking and she was hard to say 'no' to, especially since her heart was in the right place. Shauna was a sweet girl and he couldn't imagine that she'd be able to do anywhere near as well as him in a rougher sport like karate anyway. Maybe it would be even better if she was there watching him make progress. Chances are she wouldn't last in the class long anyway. She was busy with ballet and he didn't see how she had time for two activities like that. Heck, she probably thought he wasn't going to last, but he was going to prove her wrong on that. Stephen did feel a bit uncomfortable in the dojo since he and Shauna were the only ones wearing white belts while everyone else was wearing black, red, and blue belts. He didn't know exactly what those rankings meant, but he figured they were all ranked a lot higher than he was. "You must be Stephen" a man with a black belt on said as she approached him. "And this must be Shauna that you told me about on the telephone." "Hello" Shauna said with her shy, quiet voice that she always had when first meeting somebody. "I'm Sensei Fred" he said to them. "Sensei George runs the class, but I'm going to take the two of you aside for the first class and teach you some basics so you can participate with everyone next class. We're just going to work on some stances, pivoting, as well as basic punches and kicks." So the three of them were in the corner of the dojo and Sensei Fred was teaching them different stances. He was encouraging them to get low in their stances to the point where they were basically in a seated position. It really burnt Stephen's thighs and he did not like it at all. He wanted to just get out of that stance, but he didn't want to look like a wimp and give up on it. He couldn't imagine Shauna was doing any better with it, but when he looked at her she seemed to be holding it a lot better than he was. He was close to six feet tall and since he had longer legs than her, he figured it was harder for him to hold it. That annoyed him. They then worked on some pivoting drills which Stephen thought were boring. He wanted to get into more fighting drills since he couldn't imagine that stances and pivoting were going to help him in a fight or in a tournament. Shauna didn't say a word about it so he didn't either. "Alright" Sensei Fred then said. "Let's try some kicks. We'll start out with some stretch kicks just to get your legs stretched out and used to kicking. Get in a good front stance. Bend your front leg so your knee covers your foot. And make sure your back leg is locked. Go." They started doing stretch kicks and Stephen thought this was more of what he wanted to learn. They were kicking their straight legs up as high as they could and Stephen liked the way that it felt. Sensei Fred could get his leg especially high and Stephen hoped he'd be able to do that someday. "Come on, Stephen" Sensei Fred said a bit sternly. "Get that leg up higher. You can get it higher than that." He spoke a bit harsh and Stephen wasn't exactly happy about being called out like that in front of Shauna. It made him wish that she hadn't come to class to begin with. But they kept doing their kicks and Stephen worked to get his even higher, as he didn't want to look bad in front of his girlfriend. "Come on, Stephen" Sensei Fred said again and now he spoke even sterner. "Get that leg a lot higher than that." Stephen was really getting frustrated, but since this guy was a karate black belt he was helpless to say anything back to him. He was working his hardest, but it was really starting to hurt his leg trying to get higher. Stephen wasn't looking at Shauna, but he couldn't imagine she was doing any better than him. Stephen figured that Sensei Fred was going easier on her because she was a girl and he didn't like that. They continued to do basics with Sensei Fred for the rest of class. Sensei Fred was being really hard on Stephen as they did different punches and kicks and he wasn't saying anything to Shauna at all. This made Stephen feel a bit of resentment towards her. At one point he looked down at her feet. She had the pants of her gi going down to her bare feet and saw how girly they looked. They were soft and she had blue toenail polish on them. Looking at her girly feet, as he got corrected and she didn't, annoyed him even more. "Alright, you both did a good job for your first class" Sensei Fred said to the both of them when it was over. "Shauna, you had some really nice form. Stephen, work on those stances and getting your kicks a bit higher, okay?" They joined the rest of the class to do some breathing exercises and end class. As they closed their eyes and breathed deeply, Stephen felt annoyed. He didn't notice Shauna doing anything better than he was and he was frustrated that he felt she was given credit while he was getting corrected on everything. A few days later it came time for the next class and Stephen was hoping that Shauna would have lost interest already; but she brought it up to him that morning before he even said anything about it and actually seemed excited to go back. Stephen planned to work extra hard in class today and show Sensei Fred that he could be a great martial artist. They stood in class and this time they were instructed to go with the rest of the group. They lined up and Stephen looked at the ground. There was only one other female in the class and she wore training sneakers on her feet. Shauna was barefoot with her soft feet and her blue toenail polish. Stephen thought that her girly feet didn't really fit in with a martial arts class. Class began and Sensei George got them going. He was louder and seemed more intense than Sensei Fred. He had them working hard immediately doing the same stances, pivoting, punches, and kicks that Sensei Fred had them doing, but he moved at a much faster rate. But Stephen liked this better because there were plenty of people around him and he didn't have Sensei Fred there corrected him on every little thing that he did. He was telling the class what things to make sure they were focused on, but he wasn't correcting Stephen directly on anything. The two of them continued to go to class together as the weeks went on, and they worked on various different things each time. Sometimes they'd work together as a class working on basics and other times they'd partner up and do drills together. Stephen and Shauna would always partner with each other, due to their relatively similar level of experience. He would be a bit rough with her when they'd do light contact drills, but she was always able to take it, never complaining. Sensei Fred would also take them aside sometimes and teach them their first kata. Stephen did not like that part of class because Sensei Fred acted the same way he did on the first day. He'd encourage Shauna while Stephen felt that he'd nitpick him over every little thing that he wasn't doing perfectly. He definitely thought Sensei Fred was favoring Shauna because she was a girl and he did not like it at all. "Alright, everyone get your sparring gear on and then lineup against the wall" Sensei George said one day in class. "Today we're going to do some sparring" Stephen suddenly became nervous. He had only been there for a few classes and he didn't feel ready to spar yet. He had sparring gear, but he was not prepared to use it this early. He put his mouth guard in then put on his head gear, gloves, and shin guards. He could feel himself getting nervous. He hoped that he'd be able to just spar against Shauna since they were both the new students, but he didn't think he was going to be that lucky. He figured he'd end up having to spar one of the other students that was experienced and get whooped. He looked at some of the other guys and he didn't want Shauna to see one of them beat him. Even the other female in the class that was a blue belt intimidated him. He was not excited about this at all. "Alright, let's have Stephen and Shauna out first" Sensei George said to everyone. "We'll see how the two new students are able to apply what they have learned." Stephen was very relieved that he didn't have to go out against someone that was going to kick his ass. He wondered if he should go easy on Shauna since she was his girlfriend and all. He decided against that. If she wanted to join karate class with him then he shouldn't have to compromise what he knew for her. He would give her a full taste of what he had learned. The two of them stood across from each other and Sensei George stood between the two getting them ready to start. Stephen looked at his girlfriend - he looked at her long dark hair in a ponytail, her gi, and all of the sparring gear she had on. She had a serious look on her pretty face and Stephen couldn't wait to beat her good. "Bow to each other" Sensei George said as he got them going. "Go!" Shauna went right at Stephen aggressively and it wasn't what he was expecting at all. He felt the gloves she was wearing punch his face multiple times and she was so quick that he wasn't able to defend against any of her punches. He took a good 6 or 7 punches, all to the face, and he felt his eyes water up. She forced him right out of the circle and Sensei George made her back off. "Alright, that's a point for Shauna" Sensei George said as he motioned for Stephen to come back in the circle. "Try to stand your ground better Stephen because she'll get a point every time that you step out of the circle like that. Keep your hands up in front of your face too. Your head was wide open that entire time." Stephen could feel that he still had water in his eyes and being corrected in front of everyone on all of the things that he did wrong against his girlfriend made him feel even more upset. He looked at Shauna who had an emotionless look on her face - she looked all too ready to fight some more. "Bow to each other" Sensei George said and the both of them did so. "Fight!" Stephen put his hands up in front of his face just like he was told, but he was too timid to move them away to throw a punch. Shauna just threw a hook punch that hit him right in the side of the head and he then moved his hands to block that part of his head. She then kicked him right in the stomach and that drew both of his hands away from his head towards his stomach. While he still felt the pain in his stomach, and tried to catch his breath, he felt Shauna's gloves punch him in the face multiple times again. She was so damn quick, and her punches were so strong, it was driving him crazy. The punches hurt a lot, and every time she punched his nose he felt his eyes water up more. He felt her punch him in the face a couple of more times and he felt helpless. Whenever he would move his hand to block one punch it seemed like Shauna knew exactly what she was doing and she would find another opening in his face and punch him there. Stephen bent down and just put his arms over his head so she couldn't get his face again, and then she had his whole body to punch at. She started punching his back and the back of his head and he was completely defenseless. "Alright, alright" Sensei George said and he separated the two of them. "Stephen, you need to try to stay up straight, OK? If you keep putting yourself in a defenseless position like that then I'm going to have to call the fight in her favor." Stephen stood up straight and even though he wasn't crying, the tears had left his eyes and some were going down his face. He looked at his girlfriend looking cool and calm and he couldn't believe she was hurting and humiliating him the way she was. He just wanted to walk out of there and not talk to her until she begged for his forgiveness, but with all of the people watching he couldn't even do that. "Ready" Sensei George said and Stephen was not excited about fighting some more. "Fight!" Stephen saw how aggressive Shauna was being and how well it was working for her and he figured he had to try the same thing. He attempted some quick punches at her face, but it didn't work for him the way it worked for her. She was able to dodge the first then block the next two and she then punched him right in the side of the bridge of his nose, which almost knocked him right on the ground. With both of his hands up by his face to make sure she couldn't punch him in the face again, his body was once again wide open. Shauna threw a quick front snap kick that hit him right in the ribs and caused him quite a bit of pain. When she saw how open he still was she did a lift for a side kick and then threw a side kick right at his ribs. Shauna didn't know her own strength and when her foot first connected with his ribs it actually sent him up in the air a little bit. He hit the mat hard and landed right on his back. As hard as he hit the ground, it was his ribs that were killing him after the devastating kick he had just taken. The pain in his ribs was more than Stephen ever felt and he couldn't help but lie on the mat and cry. Instead of Sensei George going down to check on Stephen and see if he was OK, he walked over to where Shauna was. He grabbed her hand and raised her arm to declare her the winner. "You alright?" Sensei Fred asked Stephen and he didn't sound too sympathetic. "My ribs hurt" Stephen cried. "I think she broke them." Sensei Fred felt Stephen's ribs where Shauna had kicked him and that hurt him even more. "They're not broken" he said dismissively. "I can tell you that much. You're going to be sore for a few days at least after that kick you took, but they're not broken. Just come on over to the wall and rest so you can get yourself together." Stephen was still crying but Sensei Fred actually grabbed him by the upper arm to assist him in getting off of the mat. He seemed more like he was just trying to get him out of the way for the next sparring match, more than he was actually trying to help him. Stephen now sat on the floor against the wall away from everyone else. He was still crying and he really wanted Shauna to come apologize for being as rough with him as she was, or at least check on how he was doing. But he looked over to see that she wasn't even looking in his direction, she was talking to Sensei George about something instead. He looked like he was talking to her about the match and giving her pointers. Meanwhile, they went about their fighting on the mats, having the next two competitors come out and Sensei Fred was now the one officiating. The next two fighters looked like a lot more close of a match-up than Stephen and Shauna were. Both could defend themselves and it was the complete opposite of the thrashing that Shauna had given him. It further embarrassed him that he got beaten as badly as he did. The next two had a very close fight and Sensei Fred was the one that called who the winner was, even though Stephen couldn't tell which of the two did better than the other. Then the two hugged each other and they were both far from getting assisted off the ground when they were finished. Two more students came out to fight and Stephen hadn't completely stopped crying yet. His ribs really hurt and he didn't doubt that they were going to hurt for a few days at the least. Sensei George was still talking to Shauna. He was getting really agitated and wished that his girlfriend would go and check on him as opposed to continuing to talk with their sensei. He watched the next pair of students fight and their match was just as close. Although Stephen's ribs still hurt and felt like he could have gotten up to join the class again, but he was too embarrassed to. He stayed where was and continued to watch new groups go out to spar and have much, much closer sparring matches than he did. No one ended up crying and no one else even got knocked on the ground. Sensei George and Shauna were talking to each other the entire time. "Alright, has everyone had a chance to go?" Sensei George asked Sensei Fred. "Yes Sensei" Sensei Fred said back. "OK, everyone clear off to the sides" Sensei George said loudly and everyone immediately did as they were told. "Give your attention to the center of the dojo. Shauna is testing for her yellow belt." Stephen couldn't believe what he was hearing and suddenly he didn't notice the pain in his ribs nearly as much. How could she be testing for her yellow belt? He had as much experience as she did. Why wasn't he called up to test? If they were testing her and not him just because of what happened in the sparring match he thought that was ridiculous. "Ready?" Sensei George said to Shauna who was at attention and the two bowed to each other. "Show us all your kata." Shauna began doing her kata and all eyes were on her. She did look very graceful when she did it, but that was because she was a dancer so she was more flexible and used to moving like that. It didn't mean she was any better than Stephen, or so he thought. He didn't know why he wasn't out there testing with her. He watched Sensei George watching her every move and he looked like he was so impressed. He also noticed the look on Shauna's face. She looked so serious, so focused. Why was she taking this karate so seriously? She was a dancer and she was just taking karate so she could spend time with Stephen. She wasn't supposed to be getting all into it. When she finished her kata she got a loud round of applause, which as usual made Stephen jealous. "Very, very good work" Sensei George said to her and all though she stood up straight and was trying to look serious, Stephen could tell that his girlfriend was holding back a smile. "I've never given anyone their first promotion with as little classes as you have had, but Sensei Fred and I have been watching you. Your skills are amazing and you proved tonight that your sparring is amazing as well. Congratulations on receiving your yellow belt. You are going to make a great martial artist." Sensei Fred presented Shauna with her new belt and she began to put it on. Sensei George congratulated her, Sensei Fred did the same, and then everyone else in the class proceeded to do so. Stephen remained on the ground in pain while Shauna was getting all of the attention for her accomplishment. Once the anger of his girlfriend getting promoted before him wore off, Stephen started to feel the pain in his ribs again. He thought it would be nice if just one person would forget about the fact that Shauna had gotten her yellow belt for a second and come to see if he was OK. No one did, until Shauna walked over to him looking very proud of herself. "You ready to go, honey?" she said and he felt like he detected a bit of arrogance in her sweet voice. "Yeah" he said and he held out his arm for her to grab his hand. "You wanna help me up?" He still hoped she would finally ask if he was OK but she just grabbed his hand and yanked him to his feet. It hurt his ribs more when she did it and although he winced a bit from the pain she didn't acknowledge it. She walked to the exit of the dojo and Stephen followed her. "Bye Sensei George" Shauna said to him with a smile as the two of them walked out. "Thanks again." "See ya, Shauna" he said back to her. "Congratulations again." He didn't even acknowledge Stephen as he walked out. ********** "Ready to go to class?" Shauna said the next time it was time for class and the two of them were hanging out on the couch in his living room. "Nah, I don't feel like going" Stephen said. "I don't think that's really my thing." "Really?" she said to him with surprise and he just wanted it to be dropped. "You were so excited about getting into this. Don't give up on it already. You're doing a good job so far." She didn't seem like she was being sarcastic, but since she kicked his ass in sparring and then got her promotion before him, he interpreted it as patronizing. "I just don't want to go there!" he said to her sternly and he quickly felt bad that he talked to her like that. "OK, sweetie" she said with her sweet, shy voice and she backed off. "I guess I'll call you after class then." She stood up and he looked at her with disbelief. "Wait, what?" he said. "Why do you want to go if I'm not going?" "I like it" she said to him and he felt angry since he thought she only liked it because of her quick promotion. "I still want to go. I'll call you after class, OK?" "Let's just hang here" he said and he sounded a bit whiny when he said it. "Stay here with me, we can watch a movie or something." "Stephen I'm going to go, OK?" she said and she laughed a bit. "I'll call you afterwards." Stephen then did the unthinkable, and grabbed onto her arm, in an act that made out to her as if she was going to force her to stay. An unwise move on his part, even if it was somewhat subconsciously done, as the following second Shauna grasped his fingers, twisted them and his hand back onto himself, and then flipped him over her side and onto the couch he had just arisen from. "Don't ever think you can man-handle me like that" she made out in an aggressive tone, before regaining her calm once more, gathering her things, and making her way out to her evening karate class. Turning her face to him just before leaving, and giving him a sweet smile as she did so, her face reverting back to the adorable young woman he knew, or at least thought he did. So she went to class that night and although Stephen never went back, Shauna continued to go. She developed quite the serious interest in karate and continued to move through the ranking system very fast. Whenever she brought up her progress to Stephen he would change the subject so she just gave up and the two never spoke about it. But Shauna was proud of her accomplishments and was sure to talk about them on Facebook for everyone to read about. She would update when she was testing for her next belt and even posted pictures of her testing, and then holding her new belts with her senseis. Her posts always got lots of 'Likes' and Stephen was really getting jealous. One night they were all out to dinner with a bunch of Shauna's friends. It was a typical night where they were giving all of the attention to Shauna, and Stephen was basically being ignored. The majority of the conversation was about martial arts which didn't make things any better for him. *** Continued in our Amy's Conquest (www.amysconquest.com) Exclusive, Members Only, Text Stories Section OR from our New Amy's Conquest Store (www.amysconqueststore.com) where ALL of our AC material can now be purchased individually! ***
