Suzie's First Loss By Dreadnaught Suzie loses her first fight for Roxanne, but Nina gets revenge. "Hey buddy.. you know where I can find Roxanne?" The rich female voice behind me jarred me out of my Sunday morning blahs. I had been sitting at the bar, sipping coffee, trying to get my mind awake enough to do the crossword in the paper. Somehow I'd just been snapped awake without any effort on my part. I turned to find a woman behind me. Not just any woman, either. She was tall, slender, but firmly muscled, very curvaceous. A short t-shirt covered a profound pair of breasts and didn't cover a solid set of abs. A negligible pair of denim cutoffs were followed underneath by two splendid legs ending in black high heels. Longish brown hair and a beautiful model's face met me as I brought my eyes back up. I tried to answer her question but my throat was suddenly dry. I coughed and cleared it as she smiled a knowing look at me, as if she expected this reaction from most men who laid eyes on her. "Ahem.. can I help you? I'm.." The woman interrupted me with a quick glance-over, examining me head to toe. "I doubt you could, bud," she sneered. "I'm looking for Roxanne." I knew I'd been insulted, but I was still a bit too overwhelmed to really react to it. "Uh.. she's in the office. End of the hall.." She was already on her way back. "Thanks, shorty." I gaped after her as my early morning stupor began to set back in. I returned briefly to my coffee before the questions began sinking in at last. Who was she? What did she want with Roxanne? And why would Roxanne call me in this early on a Sunday morning? We'd had a very quiet weekend, no fights scheduled last night, so Roxanne had taken the opportunity to go off elsewhere, "sightseeing" she had said. Finally, my curiosity got too much. I trudged my way back towards my office, which Roxanne had unofficially taken over for herself, more or less. I knocked on the door. "Come in," she answered. I entered to find Roxanne behind my desk, Nina on the couch in a rather skimpy workout outfit, and the other woman sitting next to her. Roxanne gave me the rather formal greeting she reserved for when we had company. "Ah, Mr. Black." The woman paled. "You're Dave Black??" "Uh, yeah," I replied awkwardly. "I see you two met outside," Roxanne beamed. Nina broke into a chuckle. "Suzie, this is David Black, the owner of this little establishment. Mr. Black, this is Suzie, our newest fighter." I should have guessed she was an amazon just from her aura of power. Oh well, I was still half asleep, so what do you expect? Suzie stood and took my hand in a strong, nearly painful handshake. "Sorry about the wisecracks," she apologized. She stood an inch or so taller than me in her heels. I gently tried to extract my hand. "S'okay," I mumbled. I went and took a seat. "Suzie has kindly consented to joining our roster of fighters, Mr. Black. Having seen her skills in action, I was only too happy to ask her to join us." "Sounds good." Roxanne opened a desk drawer and pulled out a small wad of cash. "Excellent. Now, Suzie, I'd like you to go and buy yourself an outfit. As long as you feel comfortable fighting in it, it's yours." Suzie simultaneously looked stunned and enthralled. "Really??" She stood and happily took the money. "Absolutely. And there is a bit of urgency, as well. I have received a challenge from a Mr. Klein. He wishes to put his fighter up against one of ours. Naturally, I assumed as our newest fighter, you would like a shot at him?" Suzie was thrilled. "Definitely!" "Wonderful! I've scheduled the fight for next Saturday evening. Now, to help you prepare, Nina can show you around our facilities." Nina stood and beckoned Suzie out the door. "You'll love our gym, Suzie. We have everything you could possibly want.." The door closed quietly behind them. "Where did you find her?" I asked. Roxanne smiled, reclined in her chair and brought her long legs up on top of my desk. She never ceased to amaze me. Here it was, at an hour of the morning when I was barely conscious, and she was, as always, immaculately dressed in an impeccable and alluring business suit, practically radiating an irresistible sexuality. "She was the sight I wanted to see last night, David. She was fighting over at Olson's place." "She was what??" I gasped incredulously. I was about to try expressing my concerns and fears when Roxanne calmly waved them off. "Don't worry. Our friend Mr. Olson made the mistake of treating her like he treats the rest of his employees, like dirt. Naturally, she chose to express her dissatisfaction, and I assisted her." She glanced down at her watch and chortled with amusement. "In fact, Mr. Olson and his cohorts should just be waking up right about now. I do hope they have plenty of coffee on hand to help them. A few band-aids would probably be good too." As usual, Roxanne's confidence put my mind at ease. "You know, if you keep beating up the competition like that, no one will want to challenge you," I joked clumsily. Roxanne smiled sweetly. "I can't help it, Mr. Olson has become by far one of my favorite targets. Speaking of competition, what do you know about this Mr. Klein?" "I've heard of him before, vaguely. He's pretty small-time. I don't think he even had a place to stage his own fights. He'd just enter fighters at other places once in a while. Sometimes he'd win. Most of the time he wouldn't." Roxanne thought for a moment. "Hmm. It doesn't sound like that much of a challenge, really." "Are you sure Suzie's up to it?" "Completely. She astonished even me last night. She absolutely destroyed Olson's bodyguards. I have total confidence in her abilities. I just hope she isn't insulted by being placed in a fight with what will probably be a vastly inferior opponent." Suzie had borrowed some of Nina's gym clothes, and sweat gleamed and rolled down her magnificent body as she practiced shadow boxing, throwing devastating punches out in tremendous combinations. "You're right, this place is great!" she commented. Nina stood nearby, lifting and curling a pair of sizable dumbbells, perspiration glistening on her attractive form as well. "Glad you like it," she smiled. "It's great to have a nice, quiet place to exercise and practice, isn't it?" "It's a lot better than my setup back home, that's for sure!" Suzie's fists punctuated her statements as she continued the barrage of blows before her. "It's kind of hard to get good equipment in a small town, you know? I just wound up using whatever I could get." Nina nodded as the two amazons continued their workouts. "How did you wind up as a fighter?" "I always had it in me, I guess. I started fighting when I was a kid, found I enjoyed it, and just kept it up. Then I got a job as a bartender. It was perfect. There's always a bunch of guys looking for trouble in small town bars. I was always happy to give 'em some." The two girls snickered. "How about you?" "I didn't start out as a fighter," Nina replied as she lowered the dumbbells and put them down. "I used to be a dancer.." "You too? I've danced for years! It was really a big help. You can take a lot of dance moves and use them in fighting, you know?" Nina grinned. "Yeah, I found that out. Plus it helps so much with your speed, agility and strength, too." "So what happened?" "I used to dance in a small club downtown. I wasn't quite a stripper, but pretty damn close. Anyways, one night this woman comes in, and asks me if I wanted to make some decent money for a change. Seemed like I couldn't do much worse for myself, really. Plus she had on a nice suit, practically smelled of money.." "Had to be Roxanne." "Right," Nina laughed. "Anyways, I asked her what she had in mind. I remember she just said, 'Fighting men.' and I was hooked. Well, the idea hooked me, at least. I'd never been in a fight in my life. But I wanted to try it. Dancing for men was always a turn-on for me, knowing I could have them begging at my feet with just a few right moves, here and there. I guess the idea of doing physically what I could already do mentally was an even bigger turn-on. I wanted the power, I suppose." "I know the feeling," Suzie agreed, throwing more potent punches at her shadow. "Roxanne told me I'd be perfect. I had the strength, plus my dance already gave me a good background in what I'd need to know for fighting. She was right. I studied and practiced day in and day out, learned everything I could from her. When she felt I was ready, Roxanne put me in my first fight at Black's place. I never felt anything so exciting in my life. I knocked the guy cold." Suzie stopped her boxing and began to shake her arms to relax the muscles. "I know, it's great. Have you been in many fights since?" "A lot.. the first guy I fought decided he wanted to get even. One night he hired a bunch of ex-army brats to beat me up. I think a couple of them are still in the hospital." Suzie grinned. "Good for you! By the way, do you still dance?" "Yeah. I even still perform at my old club sometimes. I seem to get a bigger audience now, since they heard I was a fighter. A little extra money on the side never hurt, you know?" "I think we're gonna learn a lot from each other, Nina," Suzie smiled. "Listen, how'd you like to come with me and help me pick an outfit? I think I'll need one if Roxanne wants me to fight next weekend." "I'd love to help." The two friends went to shower and change. By early Saturday evening the crowd was beginning to fill the bar up. I was sitting at the usual table I watched the fights from, up on the second level with a wonderful view of the entire bar. Roxanne came up and sat across from me with a wide grin. "Suzie's almost ready. Nina's back in the dressing room with her getting her warmed up. You know, David, I think recruiting her may have been my most intelligent move in quite some time." I couldn't help but grin. "Roxanne, you do have a way with modesty," I teased her. She grinned. "I'm serious! I was talking with her just now. Her motivation is simply inspiring, not to mention infectious. I almost wanted to go out and fight a man myself there and then! Care to go a couple of rounds?" "Ack, no!" I laughed. Roxanne was definitely the dominant one in our rather strange relationship. Many times I had trouble keeping up with her very voracious appetite, which increased tenfold after she had won a fight. I remembered the time she and Nina had taken me over to Olson's bar one morning, to avenge his attempt to interfere in her business. Nina and Roxanne had been so horny after the fight they had decided to take me. And take me they did, or so I was told. I didn't wake up for hours. Roxanne delighted in teasing me. "Awww," she pouted. "Not even a bit of play wrestling?" I flushed with the thought. "Well-ll.." My train of thought was interrupted as Roxanne looked over my shoulder. "Ah, Suzie!" I turned to face her. She'd had an inspired choice of costume. Her brown hair was tied back in a ponytail. A top of very fine black fabric clung to her breasts, emphasizing their curves, and displaying her finely muscled abs and arms. A miniskirt of the same fabric clung to the lines of her hips and thighs, and as she turned to display her costume I noted a rather high slit up the back, nearly up to her rear. A pair of very sheer black pantyhose and black high-heeled pumps secured to her feet with two delicate straps completed the dreamlike image. "Roxanne! So what do you think of my costume?" Suzie asked with a smile. "Oh, I think it's wonderful. Tell her, Mr. Black, what do you think?" Roxanne nudged me. "Huh?" Despite myself, I was gaping. Suzie wore her outfit extremely well. The two women laughed as Suzie sat next to us. Roxanne signalled the waiter. "I do think we should celebrate what shall be a long and prosperous career with us, don't you think? Champagne, please." "Just water for me," Suzie told the waiter. "The champagne can wait until after I put the guy away for the night." The waiter moved through the thickening crowd down the stairs to the bar. "I haven't seen your opponent turn up yet, Suzie.. nor even his manager." "He'd better turn up. I'd hate to have to fight everyone else here instead." "We can ask for volunteers if they don't show.. it wouldn't be the first time someone got scared. It seems we've earned a bit of a reputation." As the two girls continued their chat, I watched the waiter return with our drinks. As he reached the stairs to the second level, a short, thin man bumped into him. The waiter expertly avoided spilling any of the drinks on his tray, while the short man reached for him, apologizing profusely. The waiter thanked him and excused himself to deliver our drinks. I watched the little man follow him upstairs as the waiter placed our drinks before us. Roxanne raised her champagne in a flourish. "A toast to your future in our fight roster, Suzie." Suzie smiled as she clinked Roxanne's glass and drank the water she'd been given. I sipped at my champagne as the little man approached our table. He was shorter than me, with a thin, wiry moustache and a rather rumpled old suit. His eyes seemed to dart back and forth. Overall he gave the impression of a humanized rat. "Excuse me?" "Yes?" Roxanne said. "Is one of you.. uh, Roxanne? My name is Klein. I'm managing the other fighter." "Yes, Mr. Klein, I'm Roxanne. What may I do for you?" Roxanne's soft English accent betrayed nothing, but I'd known her long enough, and I knew the trouble she'd had with other fight managers. I knew she was on guard. "I just wanted to meet you," he said with a rather twisted smile. "I'd heard a lot about you and your fighters. Is this the one my man will be facing?" "Yes, this is Suzie." "Nice to meet you," Klein told her. "I hope your man's ready to take a few punches, Klein. I plan on mopping the floor with him." Roxanne grinned. "I'm sorry, Mr. Klein, she.." "No, I understand completely," he said. "I'd be pumped and ready too, if I were her. And I'd be confident too, considering the record your roster has so far." "Thank you. Is your fighter ready?" "Yeah, he's in back. I should explain, I'm a hands-on manager. I'll be close by the bar, so I can encourage him." "He'll need more than encouragement to face me," Suzie added. "We'll see," Klein smiled smarmily. "I have every confidence in him, he's a seasoned street fighter. I'd better get down there and get him ready. Suzie, good luck, and may the best man win." "Excuse me?" Klein realized what he'd said and snickered. "Oh, sorry.. well, you know what I meant." He left to head back to the bar. "It's gonna be a pleasure mashing his boy into the ground," Suzie grimaced. "Hmmm, he seemed pleasant enough," Roxanne said. "Maybe it's just my suspicious nature, but.." "Ladies and gentlemen!!" "Oops, that's my cue. Remember, keep the champagne chilled," Suzie smiled, and got up to make her way to the fighting area by the bar. The crowd began to quiet down as the announcer continued. "Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to fight night! This fight is to the knockout! Presenting in her very first appearance here, a newcomer to the ranks of Roxanne's fighters, please give a big round of applause for Suzie!" Suzie strode into the cleared area in front of the bar, waving and bowing to the crowd, which clapped in appreciation, as well as throwing in a few wolf-whistles at the sexy girl for good measure. "And presenting her opponent, at 5'11", 205 pounds, the dangerous Spike!" Klein emerged from the shadows leading a large man. This guy was scary looking. Clad in a leather jacket and jeans with cowboy boots, he made his way up to the bar, expressionless. He turned to face Suzie, and slowly removed his mirrored sunglasses, putting them slowly into the chest pocket of his jacket. He then removed his jacket. I don't think I'd ever seen a more hairy man. His head was covered with a thick mane of unkempt black hair, he sported about a week's worth of beard, his bare arms and chest were absolutely coated with hair. One brawny arm bore a tattoo of what looked like a railroad spike surrounded by barbed wire. Not exactly the sort of man you'd want to see your sister dating. He stared impassively at his female opponent. The announcer continued as both fighters indicated their readiness. "Fighters, you know the rules. And.. fight!" Suzie and Spike both brought their fists up in boxing stances and began circling each other tentatively. The one thing that wasn't tentative, however, was the reaction I'd had. The second the announcer had started the fight I felt a pressure come down on my crotch. I looked up to see Roxanne throw me a grin and a wink before she turned her attention down to the fight. I moaned softly as my cock sprung into instant life, and I surreptitiously moved one hand under the table, to stroke her wonderful stockinged leg and the foot she had stroking my groin. I'd really missed this. Spike looked carefully at his attractive opponent as he circled her cautiously. She had firm shoulders and arms, with well- defined muscles. Still, this was a girl. Her raised fists seemed tiny compared to his own. How hard could this be? "I can tell you've never fought a woman before, tough guy," Suzie drawled as the crowd cheered her on. "Don't worry.. I'll try and make this as painful as possible." Spike snarled. "I'm gettin' paid to fight you, girl, not to take shit." "Bring it on then." The big man stepped forward and shot a straight punch at Suzie's head. His fist swished through the space she had occupied a moment earlier as she expertly dodged. Then whack, she landed a crisp punch of her own straight to his mouth. Spike grunted and stepped away from her. The first punch of the fight always got Roxanne going. I felt her foot press down on my erection and had to shut my eyes against the wave of arousal as the crowd noise around us drowned out my moan. Spike growled at his miniskirted adversary as he rubbed his chin. "One lucky punch ain't gonna win you this fight, babe." Suzie beamed. "You're gonna find out just how lucky I am, ugly. Let's go!" Spike threw another immense straight punch. Suzie lithely dodged again, only to find the hulking man charge her. He tried to wrap his arms around her to clamp on a bearhug, only he quickly found he wasn't fast enough. Suzie's right fist slammed hard into his kidney, hard enough to make his eyes bug out. Her other fist came down like a lead weight on his shoulder, at the base of his neck. Spike groaned and stumbled back, and Suzie followed up, punching him in the jaw. "Unnh!" He staggered back, but easily stayed on his feet. "How was that for luck, tough guy? Think you can handle it?" The crowd cheered Suzie on as she teased her slightly stunned opponent. I brought my other hand under the table, one hand massaging Roxanne's stockinged foot while the other caressed her silky calf. A small smile of appreciation crossed her face as I throbbed underneath her toes. Okay, so he could see her fists weren't as puny as he thought they were, now that Spike had a couple of close-ups of them. And dammit, those punches hurt! How could a beautiful girl like this punch that hard? Still, he'd taken harder punches than hers. He'd make her pay for the pain. Spike spat, "Handle this, bitch!" He charged and launched a looping punch at her head. Suzie ducked underneath it, and Spike roared in frustration as he brought his arm back and tried to catch her with the back of his fist. She quickly jumped out of its path, and lifted a kick to the big man's stomach. "Ouuff!" he cried as he bent around her foot. "Oh, I can handle it, believe me," Suzie grinned, bringing her fists back up as he recovered from the kick. Paf, paf. Suzie shot two hard jabs with her left to Spike's chin as he came back up to face her. His head rocked viciously with the punches, but he stood his ground until she knocked him back with a right cross. Spike stumbled back away from the shapely amazon, shaking his head vigorously against the power of the blows. The crowd was going wild for her as she laughed at him. "I've been handling little boys like you for years, ugly. Most of them go down after a few punches, though. I'm impressed you're still standing." I felt a distinct moist spot forming under the tender care of Roxanne's foot. I continued massaging it, loving the slick, sexy feel of her nylons. "I hope Suzie doesn't knock him out too quickly," I heard her call through the cheers of the crowd. "I hope she doesn't take TOO long," I replied. She chuckled. Spike had recovered enough to snarl once more, and prepare another punch for the girl as she approached him. Suzie was again too fast for him. Before he could throw his punch, her fist slammed into his face with a crack. His head spun to the side, and the amazon fighter met it as it came back with her other fist. "Yaagh!" the big man cried as the girl's powerful punch spun him around and sent him reeling into the bar. His legs almost crumpled out from under him as he leaned against the bar to recover. The crowd yelled for blood. Simultaneously, I felt an immense rush to my penis as Roxanne pressed down and stroked it harder than before. It took a lot of willpower to hold myself back. My God, that hurt. Spike leaned facedown on the bar, trying to recollect his strength. There was no question in his mind now, years of street brawling hadn't really prepared him for this. This girl was an expert with her fists. He wasn't sure how many more of those brutal punches of hers he'd be able to take. "Geez, are you okay?" Klein's voice came from beside him. "Unnnh.. yeah, I think so," Spike grunted. "She's tougher than you said she'd be." "I tried to warn you." "I thought you said she'd be down by now.. didn't you get the fix in or what??" Klein spoke quietly. "Shh. I did, it has to hit her soon. Just hold on for a little while longer." Spike rubbed at the blood trickling out of the corner of his mouth. "Fuck, that's easy for you to say," he grumbled. Suzie's taunting voice sneered at him. "C'mon, big boy, we still have some playing to do.. ohh!" Spike dazedly glanced behind him to see the strong girl whose fists had punished him stagger slightly on her feet, her hand going up to her head. Klein beamed. "There. She's yours." Spike collected his strength and turned back to the fight. No sooner had he done so than he saw the girl shift her weight, bringing up one of her long, shapely legs. He knew where the kick was headed, and he also knew he couldn't do much to stop it. He braced himself for the kick to his face. I was struggling to keep myself from ejaculating in my pants when suddenly Suzie staggered. Suddenly Roxanne's foot was gone. "Something's wrong," she said. Spike obviously noticed too, as he suddenly seemed revitalized. He came off the bar at her, straight into a kick to his face from the miniskirted fighter. But it quickly became obvious as she shot the kick up that she was losing her balance. She seemed to stagger mid-kick. The side of her high-heeled shoe barely brushed the big man's face. The kick was still enough to knock Spike back against the bar, but Suzie almost fell herself before her leg came back down. Spike managed to recover before Suzie did somehow. He moved in, rather dazedly, and drove a punch to Suzie's middle. She wasn't able to tense her abs fast enough. The man's punch knocked the wind our of her and sent her back a couple of steps. What was going on? Roxanne looked down into the crowd and saw Nina pushing her way towards the fight area as Spike hauled off for another punch. "Nina, no!" Roxanne yelled as Spike's punch sent Suzie spinning down to the ground. Nina stopped and looked our way, her face filled with anguish. Roxanne quickly jumped up from the table and rushed down the stairs. Suzie flopped around dizzily as her male opponent pulled her to her feet. She tried to fight back, throwing a very lame-looking punch at him. Spike managed to block it. He took her and flung her back hard against the bar, and she once again crumpled to the floor as I watched Roxanne move towards Nina in the stunned, now silent crowd. They exchanged a few words, and suddenly Roxanne seemed to disappear in the mass of people. This was more like it! Spike still hadn't quite recovered from the initial beatings he had received at the hands of this girl, but Klein was right, he knew now he was going to win. He let his anger and embarrassment power his punches as he pressed the girl up against the bar. Each blow he landed gave him back a bit more of his manhood. He punished her for every bit of pain her fists had given him. He'd picked the girl up off the floor a couple of times now as he hammered her. Once again she slumped down to her knees, her head drooping lamely. Time to end this. He quickly rushed over and grabbed one of the wooden bar stools, lifting it over his head.. "It's over!" Klein cried victoriously as Suzie sprawled unconscious amidst the remnants of one of my bar stools. I thought I was going to be sick as the announcer bellowed in a rather stunned voice, "Your winner by a knockout.. Spike." The crowd seemed stunned as well. A few grumbles of discontent with the outcome emerged from the dazed silence. This was the first time I'd seen an unhappy crowd since Roxanne had first shown up here. I got to my feet and hurried downstairs towards Nina. As I approached her I sensed the anger inside her. "Nina.." "Dammit, that was bullshit!" she cried, turning to face me, her face a dull red. "Suzie was mopping the floor with that guy! What the hell happened?" Spike had his arms raised victoriously in the air as his manager wrapped a towel around his shoulders and then began dabbing at the blood leaking from his fighter's mouth. The two men then began making their way back towards the rear area. "Fuck this!!" Nina growled. "I'm gonna go over there and finish what Suzie started!" "Nina, please don't," Roxanne's voice instructed. I looked around to see her behind me. "We have more important things to worry about. Mr. Black, please go call an ambulance for Suzie, she needs attention." "Right," I said, moving towards the bar. "What are you going to do?" "The only thing I can do right now," she mumbled. "I'll pay Mr. Klein. His fighter earned it. Then I will accompany Suzie to the hospital." The ambulance took us to the closest hospital, the Mercy General. Suzie was wheeled into Emergency, still unconscious, with Roxanne, Nina and I following nervously. Oddly, it didn't take long for a doctor to arrive and begin to check her over. We stood around quietly as the doctor examined her bruised face. "Hmmm, nasty. Bruises, contusions.." He flicked the light pen he held and opened her eyes, checking the pupils. "Mmm- hmm." "Doctor, will she be all right?" Roxanne asked impatiently. "Hmm? Oh. She's got a possible concussion, and she'll need a few stitches.. are you three her family?" "No, friends." "Who did this to her? Her husband, boyfriend..?" "Uh, no.. she's a professional fighter." The Doctor looked at Roxanne blankly. "You're kidding." He looked back down at Suzie. "I suppose that would explain the injuries.. and mind you, with arms the size of hers, I wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley." Roxanne managed a grim smile as the Doctor barked out instructions to some orderlies. "Get her a room, and set up some x- rays and catscans." He turned back to Roxanne. "Miss, I'm going to keep your friend here for the night. I want to make sure she has no internal injuries, and keep her under observation." "Very well, Doctor. I understand." The Doctor trodded off, and just as the orderlies were preparing to wheel Suzie off, she came around slightly and moaned. "Suzie!!" Nina cried. "Are you all right??" "Mmmhhnn.. never.. never been beat before.." Suzie mumbled, her eyes seemingly unable to focus. Nina gently took her hand. "There's a first time for everything.. you'll be all right. Soon you'll be back up and ready to go at it again.." "No.. never got beat by a man before. I must have.. lost it. Never be able to.. fight again.." Suzie began to slip back into unconsciousness. Before Nina could say anything else, Roxanne put a hand on her shoulder. "Leave her, Nina. She needs to be looked after now. There's nothing else we can do for her." She gently began to lead Nina and I towards a waiting room. "I wish we could do something. Dammit, that fight should have been a cakewalk for her. And now she's so discouraged.." Nina sulked into a chair. "I think there is something we can do after all, Nina," Roxanne told us. "What?" She pulled a small bottle, half full of a clear liquid, out of her jacket pocket. "I went and did a quick search in our guest's dressing room while they were distracted. I suspect that this contains a drug of some sort which they somehow slipped to Suzie. I'm going to try and have it analyzed." "Those bastards.." Nina murmured. Roxanne went into her pocket again and pulled out a business card which she gave to Nina. "Meanwhile, this is the address Mr. Klein gave me. Nina, if you'd be so kind as to go and.. speak with him. I believe we could speed matters up considerably if he would be so kind as to tell us exactly what he did." Nina leapt to her feet. "Oh, I'll speak to him, all right. I'll stomp on his head in Morse code." She ran out into the night. Klein sat in his rundown, dingy office, counting out of the pile of money on his desk. "What a haul!" he exclaimed. Spike sat on a ramshackle couch, which had one of its legs replaced with a box, near the desk. He pressed an icepack to his chin. "Damn good thing it was, too," he grumbled. "I still can't believe how hard that bitch was hitting me." "What are you complaining about?? We won, didn't we? You're the first man who's ever won a match against those girls. When the word of this gets around, we're gonna be famous!" "What are we gonna do if they want a rematch?" "We'll handle that the same way we handled this one. I got enough of that stuff I slipped Suzie to knock out an elephant." "What was it, anyways?" "It's like an antihistamine." Spike looked at him blankly. "You know, like cold medicine? It screws up a person's balance and makes them sleepy. It's a good thing I gave her enough of it. She looked like she was beating the shit out of you for a while there." Spike growled and shifted the icepack to his left cheek. Before he could reply, a loud hammering came from the office door. "Klein! I know you're in there, open the damn door!" a female voice called from outside. "What the.." Klein's eyes shifted nervously to the door. "It's 2 in the morning! What the hell do you want?!" he yelled. "We got things we have to discuss, Klein! Open the door!" "Get the hell out of here! Whatever you want to discuss can wait till morning!" "I'm warning you.." "What are you gonna do, kick the door in?" WHAAAM! The door flew inside, crashing against the wall as the lock and one of the hinges splintered, and came to rest hanging limply from the remaining hinge. In the doorway a sexy, olive-skinned girl clad in a clingy sleeveless t-shirt and tight black spandex short shorts lowered a long leg to the floor. "How'd you know?" she grinned evilly. The two men sat slack-jawed, staring at the beautiful brown- haired girl as she strode into the small office. "Tha.. that door was locked!" Klein stuttered. "You kicked it open?" "Brilliant deduction, Sherlock," she laughed. "They just don't make 'em like they used to. Now, Klein, if you can put your tongue back in your mouth, I wanna ask you some questions." Behind her footsteps approached and a large black man with a shaved head rounded the corner into Klein's office. "What the fuck?" he cried, approaching Suzie menacingly. "Jack, hold it!" Klein barked. The bald-headed bodyguard stopped and looked at the shapely intruder. "I want to hear what she has to say." He addressed her again. "You must be one of Roxanne's girls." "That's right," Nina answered. "And I'm here because I know you fixed that fight. Ten of this little runt couldn't beat Suzie on a good day." Spike snarled as she indicated him, stood and threw the icebag to the floor. "I got news for you.. uh?" "Nina." "Nina. Spike won that fight fair and square. Everyone saw your friend choke." "Bullshit, Klein. Suzie doesn't choke when she's fighting a man. You know what I think? I think you doped her. I think you knew full well she'd have beaten up your gorilla here with one hand tied behind her back, so you didn't want to take any chances." Spike growled threateningly and thrust his hairy chest forward in his leather jacket. Klein gulped nervously. "Y.. you don't know what you're talking about." "You know what else?" the sexy girl continued. "I think I'm going to have you admit it to Suzie's face. That seems fair." Klein mustered up some courage. "Look, lady, I know you're upset, but you can't just come in here and accuse me of c.. crap like that! You have no evidence, nothing!" "Klein, we can do this the easy way, or I can pound the shit out of you and your chums here. Which do you want?" Spike shifted a bit nervously, remembering the beating Suzie had laid on him before. Klein gaped slightly at Nina. "I know you girls are good fighters, but you wouldn't stand a chance against me and my men. Leave now, and you won't get hurt!" "Sorry boys, if you want me out, you're gonna have to throw me out." "Get her!" he ordered. His men jumped to life. So did Nina. She spun and caught Jack the bodyguard hard across his chin with a backfist punch. He grunted and stepped back. Nina glanced quickly over her shoulder and kicked out behind her. The shiny high-heeled pump that was strapped to her dainty foot plowed into Spike's solar plexus with a thud. The hairy man cried in pain and staggered back, falling to the floor near the couch. Klein had gotten to his feet behind the desk, but did nothing but stare in shock and fear as the amazon turned back to face his bodyguard. The black man snarled angrily and threw his fist like a missile at Nina's lovely face. She dodged it, barely, and brought a solid arm up and blocked his second punch easily. Before he had the chance to throw another punch, the girl kicked a beautiful leg up into his side, right into his kidney. "Ummmfh!" Jack groaned. Paf! Nina punched him hard across the face, sending him stumbling back a step. A second punch from her other fist to his jaw sent the big bodyguard tumbling back into a filing cabinet in the corner, and he collapsed to the floor, his face twisted with pain as Klein looked on in horror. Spike scrambled back to his feet and charged Nina with a bellow of rage. She calmly met him with a swift kick to his gut. He shouted loudly as his body bent around the pointed toe of her shoe. She then grabbed his leather jacket, brought her foot up again to his chest, and dropped back. The big man yelled disorientatedly as the girl kicked him up and over her, sending him flying with the strength in her long leg as she hit the floor. Spike sailed through the air, straight into the far wall near the broken door. He crashed awkwardly down to the floor, landing on his shoulders and doing a comical version of a headstand before he collapsed. Now would be a good moment to make a getaway, Klein evidently decided. He tried running past Nina while she was getting up, only to find something grab his jacket from behind and pull. He cried out and tried wriggling his way out of his jacket, but found a second strong female hand hold him. Nina pulled him back to face her, and he virtually panicked. The girl stood practically half a head over the ratlike little man, and her solid, defined arms and shoulders made his undeveloped male frame look pathetic. She grinned down at him. "Leaving so soon, Klein? Please, stay a while. I insist." "No!!" he cried as he watched her prime her powerful fist. Nina ignored him, and her solid punch to his face knocked him back hard against his desk. He flopped to the floor limply, moaning in agony. The other two men were clambering back to their feet to continue the fight. Jack snarled at the shapely amazon as she strode over to him, and leapt at her. He tried to wrap his large hands around her arms, to try to hold her so Spike could have a go at her as he regained his feet. Unfortunately, the big bodyguard quickly found out he only managed to grab one of her arms, as Nina shot a punch to his face. "Mmmmph!" the black man grunted as he reeled back against the filing cabinet. Nina turned to face Spike just as he tackled her. He hit her low, his shoulder driving into her solid abs. She twisted in his grasp so that her back thudded into the wall instead of her shoulder as the hairy fighter drove her back. She quickly recovered from the jarring impact against the wall, lifted a fist overhead and brought it down like a hammer into Spike's back. He grunted and stumbled slightly, and as he lost his grip on the girl she lifted her knee up into his face. "Aaaagh!" he cried, toppling flat onto his back. Klein had by now recuperated enough that he was able to sit up. He stared in astonishment as he rubbed his aching jaw. Turning to face Jack, Nina stepped forward and snapped a high kick to the side of his face as he recovered from her punch. The kick spun the big black man around and put him down flat near the broken door with a scream of pain. Nina surveyed the room, with two stunned men trying to recover from her beatings and Klein gaping at her. She grinned. "It's not so easy when you don't cheat, is it, boys?" Spike was struggling back to his feet, his bearded face a mask of rage. "I'm gonna give you exactly what I gave that other bitch!" he swore. He swung a huge fist at Nina's face and hit nothing but air. She replied by plunging her own fist deep into his stomach. Air blasted from his lungs as he bent around the punch. "Not in this lifetime, sugar," Nina told him. Spike gasped for breath. "You're not gonna get another cheap win like that tonight." She tagged him with a sharp jab to his chin as he straightened up. Her punch staggered him. She grabbed his leather jacket in one hand and dragged him over to where Jack was trying to get up. She took his shirt in his other hand, and before either man could struggle, the sexy amazon rammed both men's heads together. They both cried in horrible pain and collapsed back down to the floor. "Nothing like watching men put their heads together," Nina laughed at the writhing forms of the male fighters. Klein was now on his feet, backing away from her as she strutted threateningly towards him. "No, please, please!" he begged pathetically. "I.. I.. It was all his idea!" He pointed frantically at the dazed Spike. "I doubt that. His IQ is less than my bra size, Klein. Yours must be even less, if you thought you could screw around with us and get away with it." Panicking, he tried to run past Nina and escape. She stopped him easily by lifting a long, sexy leg into his path, her foot slamming into his gut. "Oooooh!" the small man yelped, knocked to his knees by Nina's kick. She lifted him to his feet, turned him around, took his arm and whipped him past her. Papers and money flew everywhere as Klein sprawled over the top of his desk, crashing to the floor on the other side. "I can tell I'm really gonna have a good time hurting you, Klein," the sexy Spanish girl smiled. Spike clambered to his feet as Nina approached him, smiling. "Am I just too much for you, honey? You should have let Suzie knock you out. We got a score to settle now." "Fuck you!" the big man spat, launching himself at her, his fist drawing back for a punch. Nina put an end to that, lifting her right leg, a sharp kick flashing forward to his jaw. He stopped dead, and the girl quickly snapped another kick to his face. The leather-clad fighter stumbled back with a loud grunt. Jack spun her to face him and punched her as hard as he could in the stomach. He hurt his fist on her hard, defined ab muscles. Nina grunted a bit with the blow, but a grin came to her face as the black man stared in shock at her. "I'll show you how it's done, sweetie," she teased, punching him in the kidney. "Ooomph!" he cried, his face twisting in agony. "I guess your boss didn't give you any idea what to expect, did he?" Her fist caught him in the mouth as she jabbed at him, drawing blood and sending him back a step. "Too bad. I'd have loved to have seen your face if he'd told you a girl was going to beat you up. I'm sure I would have had a good laugh." Nina jabbed Jack's jaw again, then sent him reeling with a cracking left. He fell back against the door, almost knocking it off the remaining, rather battered hinge. Nina strode back to Spike. "You like these, honey?" She spun around in a graceful pirouette and kicked out her leg. Her high- heeled pump smacked hard across his face. Spike yelled in pain and spun face-first into the wall before he flopped to the ground. "I do. I love kicking men around. They all seem to get off on my legs. It's really fitting to knock men out using them." She met Jack as he took a few steps towards her by kicking out to her side, the sole of her foot thumping him right in the chest. "Pumnph!" he grunted, falling back hard against the door. He then collapsed to the floor and clutched his hands around himself in pain. Nina smiled down as she watched him vainly fight with the damage she had caused him. Klein had dazedly gotten back up behind his desk, and pleaded as he watched Nina stalk him with an evil smile. "Please, Nina, I didn't mean any harm! Please don't hurt me!" "Did you worry about that before, Klein? Or did you just want the money?" "I'll.. I'll give it back, I swear! Just please stop! You're too strong for us!" "Yes, I am, Klein." She stood before him, dwarfing him. "And I'm going to make sure you and your little boys know that for sure." Klein began to try to whimper some more, but the amazon interrupted him with a backhanded slap across his face. "Mmmph!" was all he managed to say as the slap sent him stumbling away from her. Still grinning, she effortlessly kicked him in the gut. The little man curled around her foot. She grabbed him by the jacket and held him up. "I'm gonna put you in the hospital, Klein. Just like you did to Suzie." The man wheezed and tried to beg. "Noo.." he gasped as Nina raised a fist. She slammed a short punch to his face, bringing a trickle of blood forth as his lip cracked. He trembled in her powerful grasp. Whack, another crisp punch from the girl exploded on his face. His head bobbed drunkenly, and he cried from the pain. "But I'll knock your two little boys out first. Watch me if you can, Klein. You'll see what a real fighter can do when she has a fair fight on her hands." Another punch rocked Klein's head back and forth, and he sagged in Suzie's hand. She contemptuously let him drop to the floor and headed back to her other two opponents. "Let's go sweetie.. or can't you handle being whipped by a little girl?" Jack shook his head and saw the smiling, seductively beautiful woman standing before him, her hands resting on her hips. The seductively beautiful woman who he couldn't seem to land a punch on, and who was beating him senseless. He snarled and clumsily tried to climb to his feet and confront her. "That's better, show me how a real man fights," Nina smirked. The bodyguard shot a punch at her, which she dodged. He threw another, howling in frustration. The girl calmly raised her arm and blocked it, and expertly replied with a crisp punch of her own to his jaw. The black man's head shot back and he staggered against the door once again. "I'll tell you what, honey," Nina purred as he reeled in pain. "Leave now. Let me finish off these other two in peace. You know now how strong I am. If you stay I'll hurt you as badly as I'm gonna hurt them. Do you want that?" Jack's mind was still staggered by the fact that a gorgeous girl was doing this to him. It was incomprehensible, and he chose wrongly. "No.. I mean.. I ain't gonna let some babe do this.. OOOMP!" He was interrupted by a kick to his ribs. He winced and bent around the pain in his side that Nina's foot had caused. "Good," she laughed. "I've never let a man walk away from fighting me yet, sweetie. I don't plan on starting now." She took his shirt in one hand and tugged him away from the door, and launched a solid punch to his jaw with the other. Her fist landed with a loud whack and sent the bodyguard reeling out the door into the hall outside. Spike groaned and climbed back to his feet only to find the delectable amazon standing in front of him. Before he could bring his fists up to defend himself, Nina kicked him in the face. "Aaiigh!" the big man yelled as the girl's long right leg brought her foot up and around to crash into his left eye and cheek. The kick spun him around, bounced him off the wall, down to the floor at her feet. Nina towered above him and smiled with satisfaction as she watched his eye beginning to swell shut and blood beginning to dribble from the scrape the polished leather of her shoe had given him. "Aww, poor darling.. that looks nasty. Does it hurt?" She knelt down next to him, took his jacket in one hand and lifted him to face her. "Damn you.." Spike sputtered rather weakly. He feebly tried to bat at her with his hands. His head rolled slightly as he was still badly shaken by the power of her kick. "I guess that means it doesn't hurt enough, then?" Nina shot a quick jab right into the scrape. Spike cried in pain as her punch knocked his head back and forth. "Is that better, hon?" Looking over her shoulder, she noticed Jack stagger back into the office, locate her, and stumble towards her slowly. She turned back to the man she held helpless. The bruises and swelling around his eye were now turning an unpleasant purple. Nina slammed her fist into his eye again and Spike howled. She let him drop to the floor. "Stay put, dear.. I have some more fun planned for you." Jack had staggered up close enough that he tried reaching out for her. Without moving from her kneeling position, Nina spun and fired a punch into his gut. The big man doubled up and stepped back, allowing Nina time to get back up. "C'mon, sweetie, you don't want a girl beating you up so bad you couldn't even get a punch in, do you? Give me a bit of a fight," she teased him. Angry now, he took a wild swing at the beautiful, exotic woman. She easily danced away from it. "Nope, you'll have to do better than that!" She taunted him again as he missed again and almost knocked himself down with the force of his swing. "Not too impressive, honey.. try again." Jack put all his remaining strength into directing one last punch at her face. He gaped dejectedly as the female fighter simply raised a solid arm and blocked his knockout punch effortlessly. "Bet you wish you'd left when I gave you the chance, huh?" she grinned. Nina punched the black man in the chin, whack. He staggered back, his legs wobbily, but still holding. "Don't worry, sweetie," she told him, sending a kick to his battered gut. The kick left him bent over, gagging for air. "You're not the one I want." She kicked him again, in the kidney, as he straightened back up. He cried out, his face a twisted vision of pain, blood, and bruises. "I'll just knock you out quick. And if you can live with a girl K.O.'ing you, you'll be fine," she smirked, kicking him again in his ribs. "UUUNHH!" Jack bellowed, trying to wrap his arms around his middle. It felt like the girl was kicking his guts right out of him, it hurt so much. He'd never have believed she could fight so well, just to look at her. She had a body any man would kill for, her face could be a supermodel's.. and her fists and feet had pummeled him raw. As Jack wrapped his arms around the torturous pain in his body, Nina stood off and lifted her sexy but deadly leg once more. She shot out a lightning-quick kick to his face. It snapped home, smacking his head to the side and knocking him back a couple of steps. But he stayed standing. His legs quivered unsteadily, but he stood. "Wow, that would have knocked most guys flat," Nina admitted with an air of slight impression. She stepped up, leapt slightly in the air, and lifted her leg in another strong kick. Her foot blasted into his face, sending drops of sweat and blood flying. The awesome kick sent him around and dropped him across the couch. Jack rolled half off it, his feet winding up on the floor as he lay on his side, completely out cold. "But enough kicks from these legs'll knock any man into next week. Sweet dreams, sugar." Nina grinned as she turned back to her remaining targets. "Still watching, Klein?" she called to him. He still lay on the floor, looking very stunned at the events going on around him. "One down, one to go. Don't pass out on me now! You're next after this asshole!" Spike struggled hopelessly to get back to his feet and fight this woman. The second he did get back up, he heard the dull thud and felt the horrid pain as her high-heeled shoe hit him in the side, right under his ribcage. "Uuumph!" he grunted, Nina's kick almost dropping him to his knees. "What's the matter, darling? Can't keep it up?" the girl teased him, a sarcastic pout curling her lips. Before he could spit out his angry reply, she kicked him hard in his stomach. He was almost sick with the pain as he bent around her foot. Then she blasted him again, this time kicking him in the opposite side to the one she had just kicked. He howled in agony, sinking down to one knee. "Now let's see, how would Suzie have knocked you out? A few good kicks?" Spike had fought his way back up, only to find a shiny pump bobbing entrancingly before his eyes, connected to a long, sexy leg. The shoe snapped forward, pounding his face. "Ummffh!" Spike cried as Nina shot the kick to his face. She kept it deliberately light, not nearly strong enough to knock him out. But the kick still knocked him back against the wall and down to the floor. Nina grabbed his jacket and pulled him up to his feet. "No, I remember seeing her punching you around. She'd probably have finished you off the same way. Tell me, does that appeal? A big, strong man like you being K.O.'ed by a girl's fists?" He managed to curl his lip into a sneer and make a fist, and tried to get it up to fend off his female assailant. "Fuck y.. uuungh!" Nina's fists were far superior to his at this point. She jabbed one hard into his cheek, right under his eye. Spike sagged back against the wall, but stayed up. "It appeals to me," she smiled. "You should see yourself, sweetie. Your face is like mulch. Can you even see out of that black eye? Feel any loose teeth? They'll probably need to stitch that cut on your lip shut.. and think, who did this to you? A couple of sexy babes. Big, tough man." Nina laughed as Spike's spirits crashed. Cursing weakly, he tried to bring his fists up. He wanted to land punches like he had on Suzie, but he was too exhausted, too weak, too badly beaten. Nina was right. His eye had swollen shut and he could barely see at all. Her awesome kicks had loosened a few teeth. His stomach and sides felt like someone had dropped bricks on them. But he couldn't accept the fact that a girl had done this to him. A beautiful, statuesque, shapely girl, but still a girl. A mere girl. The mere girl's powerful right fist plowed into his aching gut. His feet practically left the floor with the punch. "Time for the big tough man to go beddy-bye," Nina giggled. She slammed another punch into his stomach, then pulled him back up straight and prepared her knockout punches. He barely saw her fists fly as she delivered them. Paf! Paf! Nina landed a devastating combination, her left blasting through his chin followed by her right landing on his already very black eye. The big leather-clad fighter teetered from those two strong female punches, then his legs gave out and he slumped down, sitting at the base of the wall. He was very unconscious.. Grinning with satisfaction, Nina bent down and pulled the shades out of his jacket pocket and opened them up. She was just about to put them on herself when she reconsidered. "You'll probably need these for when you wake up, darling," she told the K.O.'ed man, kneeling down and sliding them over his closed eyes. Klein had watched in terror as the amazon had pounded his two protectors into dreamland. He wasn't sure whether to pass out from the fear and pain she caused him or from lust and desire as he gaped at her in awe. After watching Nina floor Spike with a couple of brutal punches, she turned to him and smile sweetly. Then it occurred to him he was now alone, with no one to stand in her way. He gulped frantically and clambered to his feet as she swayed slowly towards him, deliberately, almost seductively. He raised his hands before him, trying to indicate his surrender, or at least placate the female fighter. The shapely girl didn't stop her advance. "No, Nina, please, please don't hurt me anymore! Please!" He barely saw her long, well-muscled leg fly up at him. The top and toe of her high heel crashed into the side of his face with devastating power. Klein screamed as Nina's kick sent him face- first into the wall and down to her feet. Stars danced before his eyes. Suddenly he felt a foot kick him over onto his back as his sight began to return. Then he saw something dark out of the corner of his eye descend towards his face. It began crushing.. "You're not getting off that easy, Klein," Nina told him as she stepped onto the side of his face, pressing it down into the hard floor. As she pressed down harder, he began to struggle, wildly flailing his hands as he began to cry in pain. He grabbed and slapped at her strong leg ineffectively as she crushed his head, and she savored every moment of it. "You hurt a friend of mine very badly, little man. I told you I'd enjoy hurting you, making you pay for what you've done. Believe me, I am." Klein's frantic voice came from underneath the sole of her pump. "Arrrgh! Nina, you're killing me! Stop!" "I'm not killing you, shorty. Just injuring you." She put more and more of her weight down on his head, and his struggles became more and more panicked. "Of course, if you admit to me you fixed Suzie's fight, I might let you get up.." Klein's head felt like it was about to burst. The girl's foot was pressing on it so hard his vision swam with red. He felt her put more and more pressure on him. "All right, all right!" he moaned. "I did it, I dosed Suzie with antihistamines! Aaagggh, stop before you kill me!" "That's a good start," Nina smiled, keeping her foot down. "Anything else you want to say?" "Like what?" the muffled voice asked. "You know, we dancers can balance a lot of weight on our toes," the girl mused, beginning to turn her foot slightly, grinding Klein's face even harder into the ground. He screamed in terror and agony. "I wonder what would happen if I did a pirouette on your face?" "No, no!!" the short man begged. "What do you want?? I'll do whatever you want!!" "Okay," Nina grinned. "How about the money you got for that fight?" "I'll give it back!" "And what about Suzie? Don't you think you owe her an explanation, and an apology?" "Unngh!" Klein howled as Nina increased the pressure slightly. "She'd kill me!" "Klein, don't forget, I can kill you myself if you want to argue." Nina ground her high heel on his face. "Remember?" "Aaackk! All right, I'll tell her everything! Please, let me up!" "Good boy." Nina removed her foot, stood back and leaned against his desk. Klein took his head in his hands as he tried to sit up. The shock as he sat almost made him pass out. The king of migraines couldn't feel much worse than this, he thought. "There's only one problem, Klein." "Uh?" "You're still conscious. We can't have you just walking away from this, can we?" The panic returned as the sexy amazon stood and strode back to him. She took his jacket in one hand, lifting him to his feet with astonishing strength. He knew what was coming. "No, please, please!" he began to sob as Nina yanked him up, tears pouring down his bruised, battered face. "Please, you're too strong! Don't hit me any more, please!" The powerful amazon smiled down at him, an evil gleam in her deep, radiant brown eyes. "Normally I like a man who begs, but in your case I'll make an exception. I want to hurt you too much." The back of Nina's fist cut off any further pleading. The punch smashed his head to the side and knocked him back to the office wall. He felt his legs sag, and he wound up sitting on the floor. He watched the seductive contours of the girl's leg and high-heeled shoe come up towards his face.. Nina lifted a shapely leg up as she stood over the helpless little man. By straightening and bending her knee, she repeatedly kicked him in the face. The toe of her shoe caught him in the eye with the first kick, then she brought her foot back, so that the sole slapped against his other cheek. She repeated this several times without lowering her leg, grinning, loving the sound of his agony, basking in her own power as bruises formed with each kick. She listened to the sound of cartilage cracking as the sole of her shoe smashed across his nose on a return kick. Finally she stopped. Klein could barely hold his head up. Nina once again took hold of his jacket and lifted the pathetic man to his feet. He couldn't stand by himself anymore, he was so out of it. "Fun's over, Klein," the girl told him as he slumped in her grasp. "I still have to take you to the hospital to get you patched up before you apologize to Suzie. I want you to know it's been a real joy beating you and your goons up, though. I'd imagine you'll never get another chance to give a girl like me much pleasure, so enjoy it now while you can, sweetie." Nina laughed as she raised a strong arm and readied her fist. Her punch blew Klein's head back and sent droplets of blood flying as he went completely limp in her grasp, totally out cold. She let him slump forward against her, then bent down and slung him over her shoulder. She easily took him and carried him out of the office. Neither of her other male opponents showed the slightest sign of stirring as their sexy amazon conqueror left. Suzie lay in the hospital bed, her head bandaged, the cuts on her lovely face covered with small plasters. She hadn't regained consciousness since we'd brought her into the hospital, until now. Her eyes began to flutter as I watched her. "Roxanne, I think she's waking up," I said. She hurried over to sit on the other side of Suzie's bed from me. Taking Suzie's hand in hers, she asked, "Suzie?" "Ummmnh." "Suzie, do you know where you are?" "Hospital." "That's right. What do you remember?" Suzie groaned softly. "All of it. I remember fighting that loser.. Spike, wasn't it?" I nodded at her. "I remember I was winning.. then I felt dizzy. He must have hit me before that, I dunno.. and I remember thinking, 'So this is what it feels like to lose a fight.'" "You didn't lose that fight," I tried to assure her. "Yes I did, Black. He knocked me out. I lost." She sounded horrified with that thought. "It wasn't fair.." I continued, desperately trying to cheer her up. "Mr. Black's right, Suzie," Roxanne piped in. "Unnh, I know it wasn't fair. I know I had him hurt, I felt it. But I still lost." Suzie seemed overwhelmed with depression. "I'm sorry, Roxanne.. I wouldn't have bothered signing with you if I knew my fight career was finished.." "Don't talk nonsense, Suzie," Roxanne gently argued. "You.." She was interrupted by a knock at the door. Nina's beautiful face peered into the room. "Suzie, you're awake!" "Hi Nina," Suzie said weakly. Nina opened the door and entered. "I have a visitor for you." She turned and beckoned out in the hallway. "Okay, get in here!" A very timid-looking Klein stepped inside. Or more like staggered inside. He was a total wreck. A bandage covered his nose, which had cotton wraps stuck up it. Bruises colored most of his face, and a bandage patch covered one eye. His lips were swollen and purple. "You were right, Roxanne. A little bit of reasoning and our little friend here had quite a story to tell," Nina smirked. Klein shuffled his way past the taller amazon up to the foot of Suzie's bed. "What do you want, Klein?" Suzie asked him. He turned back with effort and looked nervously back at Nina, then at the waiting Roxanne. "Suzie, I.. uh.." "Spill it, Klein," Nina threatened. "I.. I fixed your fight. I slipped you a drug in that water you had. I wanted to make sure Spike won. I wanted the money and the fame beating one of Roxanne's girls would give me." Suzie tried to sit up. "You little bastard," she cursed. "What happened to Spike?" "Oh, he was a part of our discussion," Nina smiled. "I don't think I ever had so much fun beating up a man as I did with him." "You damn well better have enjoyed it," Suzie growled. "It was supposed to have been me beating him up!" Klein fidgeted nervously in the middle of the hospital room. "And you, Klein," Suzie told him. "If I had the strength, I'd add a few broken bones to what Nina's already given you." The little man winced and backed away from the bedridden amazon, only to find himself moving towards Nina. He cringed in terror. "Mr. Klein, I believe you have a choice here," Roxanne said, a smile returning to her face. "I think we'd be prepared to offer you a rematch.." "Yeah!" Suzie snarled. "I want to take on him and Spike together!" "Nooo!" Klein moaned. "Then I think your other option is to get out of the fight business," Roxanne smiled. "You see, not all the fighters you'll meet will be as merciful as Nina and Suzie. I wouldn't be, for instance." "Okay, okay.. you got it," the little man agreed readily, shaking with fear. "Oh, and I'd suggest you make yourself scarce. I dislike having to live in the same city with scum such as you. Unless, of course, you'd prefer to have Nina visit you regularly the way she did tonight?" the English girl asked. "No, no! I'll leave tomorrow, I promise!" Klein turned and hobbled his way out of the room as fast as he could. Roxanne laughed as he shuffled away and threw me a cheeky wink. Nina sat on Suzie's bed. "Feeling any better now?" Suzie smiled. "It's nice to know I haven't lost it after all, yeah. Roxanne, as soon as I'm better, I want to live up to my contract, especially since this fight was such a washout." Roxanne grinned. "Well, for now, just relax. I'm not putting you in a fight for at least a month. I want to make sure you're up to par first." "Oh, all right," Suzie gave in. "But I want something spectacular when I'm better. Two men, three men at once. Something the crowds will go wild over." "I'm sure I'll think of something," Roxanne replied.
