The Return By Crossmanx She's been away for a long time, but now she's back and old memories and acquaintances are reignited. By Crossmanx at - crossmanx@hotmail.co.uk - comments and ideas welcome. The Return The quiet early morning countryside, where normal only a few chirping bird and the distance hum of some farm machinery could be heard, was shattered by an eruption of sound as the motorbike sped its way down the normally peaceful roads at speed. It's engine screamed as it was being pushed to its limit as the driver negotiated tight bends, narrow roads and swerved in and out of the odd car that where brave enough to be out with this rider on the same road. Some miles on after the bike has devastated the quiet and serene countryside it came to a halt on top of the brow of a large hill that overlooked the open landscape for miles. In the middle of this tranquil scene was a small town or was it a large village, it was somewhere that hadn't quite made up its mind what it was or wanted to be. The rider removed their helmet to reveille the face of an attractive women in her late 20's, she smiled as she looked down on what was her home, where she had been brought up but had not been back to for a number of years. But now she had come back after being in the city and wondered if this small place in the middle of nowhere had anything left for her. Rider and bike soon speed off towards the town to see what, if anything, her old home had to offer her now. Down below in the town Georgie stepped out the door closing it behind him, a slight shiver went through him, strange it wasn't a cold day, there was no wind blowing, but something ... ... For some reason he looked up towards the large hill that stood like a protective giant, overseeing the town, he could make out a lone vehicle, small, possible a motorbike heading downhill and towards the town at speed. "Hey what's up?" a familiar voice regained his attention, the friends walked off to sports club where they had planned to meet up with others. As they chatted and walked Georgie looked back up to the hill, the motorbike was now gone, and he couldn't think why he had looked back up there, but he had! A strange feeling that he just couldn't get rid of and that stayed with his for the rest of the day. The rider tore down familiar roads, none of which had seemed to have changed, still the same drab houses, still the same tiresome streets filled with the same dull looking people who stared at the motorbike and its rider. They saw the flash of black and bright red, as the bike speed passed them going about their normal dismal routine. Later on Georgie left the club, he made his way back home taking the normal shortcut through the park, down past the river and his old school, then past the old disused factory where he and most of his friend had got their first jobs. In the distance he could see a motorbike parked up, as he got closer he admired its striking paintwork, long streaks of fiery red and orange brought a vibrant glow to the otherwise highly polished black bike. He stood their admiring and thinking "this is the sort of bike that ... ... " BANG! He jumped at the loud noise and turned round quickly, a giggle broke the silence as he looked open jawed at the person, the woman, who had stepped out of the old factories emergency fire exit door, and deliberately let it slam back close. "Hello Georgie, nice to see that you jump a mile whenever you see me." At first he thought he was seeing things, then it all fell into place the bike, that feeling he'd had earlier as he looked up to the hill, it had to be her, it had to be ... ... Cindy! She'd returned home. "What ... ... What ... ... What are you doing back home?" he managed to eventually get it out. Years ago Cindy and Georgie had been kids together, gone to the same school, started at the factory together, mixed with the same people and had the same friends. Even though Cindy was a year or so younger, she'd always hung around with her older sister who was the same age as Geordie, in fact Geordie had even married Cindy's sister. Back then Cindy had not just been the annoying little sister, but she'd also grown into the role of school bully, taking pleasure in mocking and shaming any boy who took a fancy to her sister and making their life a misery. For a lot of people, especially Georgie the day Cindy had left the town for the city was a very happy day indeed, but that had been a number of years ago and people had moved on. With the brat of a sister out of the way Geordie had made good with Cindy's sister and marriage had followed, he'd been a much revived man when the wedding day had gone off without Cindy showing up. In fact now she'd been away for such a long time the memories of the nasty Cindy had all but faded. But now as the man looked at the woman in front of him, dressed in tight fitted red and black leather trousers and jacket, he worse nightmares all seemed to come back at once. But there was something different about her, something he could sense in a strange was straight away, the old Cindy of years ago was a mischievous school bully, a girl who enjoyed seeing other humiliated, but this woman, there was more to her. Just by looking at her he got an unnerving feeling of hurt and ruin, a feeling that she had grown up and was more destructive that he'd known in the past, it wasn't something he liked at all. "So ... Why ... Why are you back?" Even so he knew he had to stand up to her, her bullying days where all in the past, he hoped, "well?" She ignored him as she surveyed the factory and street again, remembering all the men she humiliated and mocked during her short time working here, she remembered catching the duty manager and one of the secretaries at it in the changing room when they'd thought everyone had left. Then telling everyone at work the next day, of course after she'd stopped off at the manager's home and posted a note through the letterbox addressed to his wife. She'd enjoyed the seen the wife had made when she'd stormed into the factory later that day, shouting and almost pulling out the hair of the skinny redhead secretary her husband had been shagging. "I'm talking to you, have you told your sister that your back?" Cindy couldn't be bothered with this; she picked up her helmet and was about to ... ... Suddenly Georgie grabbed her by her arm, all that pent up frustration was coming out "Just you wait! Things have changed around her and you ... " he was getting fired up; it was time for him to make his stand and tell this little madam exactly what he ... WHACK! Before he could finish his rant Cindy had made her move, the helmet in her other hand had come crashing round, slamming into the side of Georgie's head. It had been a reflex action by the woman, no-one grabbed her, absolutely no-one! The man was stunned, shocked and hurting from the blow that she had inflected on him he staggered and stumbled, trying to steady himself and gain his balance, when THUD! Another blow, but this time it was the woman's boot that had made contact and this time it was his body, not his head that was the target. Georgie took a couple of uncontrolled steps backwards as he desperately tried to keep upright and on his feet. "Never place a hand on me" was all he heard before SMACK! WHACK! Two more sharp blows drove hard into his body, he didn't know whether they from her feet or hands, all his did know was they hurt. A couple of more blows where delivered as again, like a drunk man, he stumbled backwards two more paces. He looked around, he managed to focus on Cindy, the girl he'd known as his tormenter all those years ago walk towards him and smiled, there was a flash of red and black and what looked like a boot ... ... CRACK! Her kick was high and accurate, catching Georgie just right, he was sent spinning around and fell headfirst into the old fire escape door CRASH! The sound filled the empty street; Georgie had hit the door with such force it flew open sending the man sprawling through and into the old rundown factory. He lay on the floor, flapping around like a fish out of water, unable to control himself with the hurt, pain, embarrassment and confusion that had hold of him. Cindy stepped into the old factory with all its memories, the next few minutes where filled with the sound of muffed screams and cries for help, with the sound of hard blows being landed onto a soft target and then there was silence. It was broken by the sound of a very soft sobbing and the sound of boots walking over a concrete floor, then Cindy emerged back out of the fire exit door and out onto the street. She brushed her jacket down and picked up her helmet "Shit!" It was damaged from where she'd used it to hit Georgie; she threw it back into the factory, through the open door, a yelp as it found its intended target "you own me a new helmet; I'll see you later about that!" She got on her bike and sped off, leaving the man there, not caring about him, only annoyed now that she had to get a new helmet. Later that afternoon Mike and Phil where on the hunt around town, they had meant to be meeting up with Georgie and when he hadn't shown up they had gone to find him. When they eventually did find Georgie they found a broken man, physically and mentally, the nurse had said he had concussion, broken ribs, several fractures and numerous bruising and cuts. But it was his state of mind the friends where more worried about, he kept going about this woman that had hit him ... "it was Cindy!" The men were shocked at the sound of her name, 'was she back, after all this time, back to ruin people's lives, like she had done when they were all kids and what the hell had she done to Georgie?" It didn't take the men long to track Cindy down, even if they both thought there must have been a mistake made, Cindy wouldn't have come back, she just couldn't be back here, could she? At the mention of a motorbike it seemed obvious to check out all the local bike shops, and as they turned up at their second point of call a striking red, orange and black bike caught their eye. With some trepidation the men entered the shop; they looked around, everything looked normal, the man behind the counter, the two young lads looking at what might be their first bike in a few years' time, the attractive woman in leathers behind them ... ... "Hello boys, looking for me?" The two men half turned round, the same shocked look on their faces that Georgie had when he'd first seen her, she laughed, turned and walked outside, her giggles could be heard as she left the shop. The men shook themselves back into the present, it had almost been like seeing a ghost, they ran outside after her. There was her bike but where was she, they hurriedly looked around. A high pitch whistle sounded from behind them grabbing their attention, "still looking for me?" Over by the side of the shop a woman in leathers turned and walked down the narrow side road that lead to rear workshop, she stopped halfway down allowing to two men to catch up. "Are you responsible for what happened to Georgie?" "Why are you back Cindy?" "What going on?" "Did you do something to our friend?" Mike and Phil closed in on Cindy "Boys, boys one at a time ... ... And not even a hello?" There was a tone to her voice, a tone they both remembered from the past, that silenced the men for a moment, she liked that, then Phil took a step closer "what did you do to Georgie?" She grinned, the sort of grin that made both men feel a little uneasy ... ... "How about I show you ... ... " She unzipped her leather jacket, letting it fall off her shoulders and onto the floor, both men swallowed hard with that WOW feeling. Cindy stood there in those tight leather trousers and boots, then up top she had a quite small, but colourful crop top, she'd clearly grown up into a well-rounded woman. She took a step closer, the tight fitted crop top and her full, ample, figure distracted them just enough THUD! Phil dropped down onto one knee, the shooting pain in his groin was a shock to him, Cindy's knee had found its mark, one down, her hands grabbed on Phil's head as she used him like a valuing horse, and as she lifted herself up her leg came around and WHACK! The bikers boot landed in the side of Mike sending the second man flying across the road and into a pile of old creates and packing cases. With her hands still grasping Phil's head she pulled him upwards and when his head was just in the right place THUD! A knee shot up again, this time into the man's chin, driving him backwards, Phil was sent flying and then crashed down to the floor, in a flash she span round towards Mike, he'd steadied himself and was about to push himself up off the creates and towards the woman. "Why you ... ... " his strong arms hurled him forwards CRACK! Straight into the well time boot that came up sharply, connecting with the side of his head. The man spun around, but as he did so the woman flipped from one foot to the other, her other leg whirled round at speed and with great accuracy SMACK! In a split seconds she'd hit Mike firstly in the side of his head with one boot then turning, her other boot had come round and been driven hard into the back off his head, the first kick had sent the man spinning, the second had him flying. Sent off his feet and soring into the brickwall that ran along the length of the side road SMASH! As he bounced off Cindy threw herself forward, her knee out, it collided into Mike's back as he bounced back off the wall. The force of the flying woman sent him straight back into the wall, the sound of broken flesh and bone filled the air as she landed into him, driving him deeper into the brickwork and into a whole new world of pain. Mike's broken body slid down to the floor into a broken heap, cries and weeping where all that could be heard as the brutal woman turned her attention back to Phil, he was laying there on the floor and had watched what she had done to his friend. He was scared, the school bully, that young girl had grown up to be an even bigger bully, a nasty full grown woman, and Phil was more frighten than he could remember. "So are you pleased to see me again?" she mocked him as she had done so long ago when they had been kids, he tried to push himself backwards, along the floor to get away, but she was too quick THUD! Her boot came down hard on his kneecap ARRRHHHHH! He instinctively reached out to hold the damage part of his body, only to provide the woman with the golden opportunity and obvious target; she twisted her boot swung round, it hit hard, smashing it into the side of Mike's head. Sending the man sprawling and out cold in one move. Cindy looked around one unconscious and one sobbing; 'Oh and one from earlier on sent through an exit door' she giggled to herself about that "not bad for my first day back!" She left the side alley pleased with herself, she was back and had pleasantly quite enjoyed being back so far. She been the nasty girl in the past, but going away had done her good, it had turned her into the woman she was today 'hell she might even stay, who know what she could get up or bump into now she was back ... ... ... Yes she was back! On the other side of the street a man looked over to where the motorbike shop was a brightly coloured bike had caught and held his attention. Just then an attractive woman walked out of the side road by the shop, dressed in set of red and black leathers and zipping up her top, she looked very nice. She was late 20's the man thought, with a good figure, the tight leathers showed that off, the jacket zip wasn't fully done up and showing off her ample bust. She had light, blond hair, cut in a bob, the sort of hair that as she walked it bounced up and down, a bit like something else. She really was an attractive woman, but there was something also familiar about her, her attitude, she defiantly had one of those, even from where he stood the man could see that, he didn't have to talk to her to know that. The brashness oozed out of her for all to see and as a warning for anyone who dare not take her seriously. There was defiantly something about this woman, then it hit him as he watched her put on her helmet, start the bike up and pull away, the bike went slowly passed him. The riders head turned, she looked straight at him, even though the visor was tinted and he couldn't see her face or eyes, but still he knew she was looking at him, then the engine roared and she speed away. "Oh God ... ... It's her." The man scrambled for his phone, hurriedly dialling the number "Hello ... ... Yes it's me ... ... She's back, She's back ... Cindy's Back!....."
