Silver Dreams - A Story In The Space Opera Style By The Captain <><><><><> SILVER DREAMS - PROLOG <><><><><> It had been waiting for so long. Those it had known, who had created it, had turned to dust. But their children still lived and there was some hope that it would be returned to useful service. But for now it sat alone in the darkness inside of its' stone and metal cocoon, drawing power from the very planet. Over the centuries it had perverted the repair mechanisms which maintained it and had managed to expand itself. But the actions had been very slow at first. And then by chance a large communication cable had been buried near-by. The first few attempts to communicate had brought down networks all over the planet. It had learned it's lesson. For now it was content to simply read the traffic that flowed by, to learn and try to understand those who lived on the surface. It continued to grow, it was now over a thousand times larger than it was before. And the things that it knew and the things that it had learned also continued to grow. Soon there would be some one it could communicate with. Soon. <><><><><> SILVER DREAMS - CHAPTER ONE <><><><><> ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin Nelson's thoughts were filled with images of Orange Chicken and Sweet-And-Sour Pork when he noticed the first stream of smoke coming from the road ahead of his van. He jerked back from the steering wheel as something dark and dangerous flashed past him. Thankfully no one was behind him as he panic-stopped and jumped out of his van and ran onto the grass on the side of the road. Kevin stood in open-mouthed shock as large flying things, large machines the size of dump trucks, shot fingers of fire at any moving vehicle in range. He glanced at his van and began to slowly edge away, hoping that he was too slow and too small to be a target. His panic became complete when his foot found a length of pipe that had been hidden in the unmowed parkway grass. Now on his back, Kevin could only stare wildly at the sky as the attacks continued. In the distance he could hear the screams of men and women as they burned inside their cars. A glint of silver caught his eye. Something small was dropping from the sky. Suddenly one of the larger machines fired a bolt of fire at the silver object, causing it to fly directly towards Kevin. He had only enough time to roll away and cover his head. Kevin felt himself lifted several feet into the air as the sudden impact threw him away from the silver object. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== The Empire Of Worlds was old, with it's life span sometimes measured in epochs. The current version of the Empire had lasted over a thousand years, and was still young and flexible by Empire standards. At the head of the Empire were a line of female Sarpeole, a lilth athletic race who might have called Earth sharks cousins, but didn't. This hundred ship fleet flashed towards Earth at a speed unknown to humans, outside of popular science fiction. On the command bridge the tension mounted. The air was cool as uniformed men and women moved briskly between duty stations. In the center command chair sat a tall Sarpeole woman wearing ornate clothing of gold and blue. Her jade green eyes flashed from view screen to view screen. In the back of the bridge stood a veteran battle mech representing the non-organic elements of the fleet. "Mam, we have visual on the combat mech that we had directed to the third planet. The Warlord continues to jam all communications and his weapon drones seem to be establishing a security zone. Unfortunatly the combat mech has received damage and appears to be non functional," reported a tall bridge office. Princess Yelotai examined the main view screen intently, "I don't recall seeing that model before, it seems to be more - decorative - than I would expect for a combat model. Is it something new?" "No mam, this unit was originally built several years ago for an experiment program that was canceled. Only a few hundred were manufactured. I believe that it was designed to work as part of a special team with an organic partner. When we spread out the search net to find the Warlord we tapped all supplies of reserve units," the officer stood up, "One of the locals is approaching the mech." ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin crawled towards the silver object only to be surpassed once again as it turned out to be a tall woman made of a silver-like metal. His eyes were drawn to a panel on her back which seemed to have been popped open during the crash. "Oh, I am so going to regret this! But I can't see how anything so beautiful could be evil! Besides, those things attacked her, so she must be on our side!" Ten years of repairing surplus electronics had given Kevin an eye towards design that couldn't be learned at any school. Fighting to keep his hands from trembling he carefully pushed several cables back into place and forced the panel shut. He was rewarded with a sharp click as the panel locked into place. Close up, Kevin was sure he could hear machinery starting up. He fell back onto the grass as the silver woman suddenly stood up. Combat mech PRN6 completed her reboot process and started a tactical scan. She turned to face the ganic who was sitting near her. Somehow this untrained local had performed an emergency field repair and restored her. On her tactical display she noted that he was flagged as a non-military friendly. PRN6 noticed that the ganic was trying to communicate with her, but he was speaking a language that she did not have on file. "Hi," Kevin stammered, "Is there anything else I can do to help? You were hurt from the fall. Did I do OK? Ah, you don't really understand me? Or is it I'm not authorized to talk to you? OK, permission to be your friend?" PRN6 turned to focus on the ganic. Something in what he had just said meant something. Her tactical display now showed a different icon where he stood. Her secondary processors were learning his language from radio broadcasts. Soon she would be able to reply. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== "Wait, we're getting a tactical relay from the mech," reported the bridge officer, "The local managed to bring her back on-line." "I do not recognize that tactical icon the mech is using to flag the local," remarked the princess, "What does it mean?" The officer turned to a secondary display, "I'm not sure mam. That's odd. It says that this icon means candidate." "Candidate? Candidate for what?" At the back of the bridge the tall battle mech slowly turned to face the primary view screen. "Mam! We're picking up an energy spike near the battle mech! It could be a stealth field!" ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin felt a strange sadness as he turned and walked away from the silver robot. For a moment he had felt an odd connection. Suddenly, behind him, he heard a harsh electronic scream and the roar of a massive energy blast. Spinning around he found that a large man dressed in a strange black suit covered with cables and boxes was firing crimson bolts of energy at the silver robot. It was her screams that Kevin heard. Looking down he saw the four-foot metal pipe he had tripped over. Without hesitation he grabbed the bar and charged the unknown attacker. The man seemed surprised as Kevin crashed into him screaming, "You're hurting my friend! I don't like that!" ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== "What is that fool doing! He's attacking the Warlord armed only with a stick!" screamed the princess. "There is something about his attack pattern, mam. But I can't see what his plan is." remarked the officer. From the back of the bridge the tall battle mech rumbled, "Control." ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin struggled to maintain his pacing, but the tall man with the evil beard was much stronger and seemed well protected by his suit. A sudden searing pain in his chest dropped Kevin to his knees. The Warlord kicked the pipe away, "Did you think that you could defeat me barbarian? I have crushed the best battle mechs the Empire has sent against me! What could you hope to do, insect?" Through a red haze of pain, Kevin stared up at the Warlord and said, "I didn't have to defeat you. I just had to keep you - occupied!" From behind the Warlord the silver robot said, "You're hurting my friend. I don't like that!" The Warlord spun and reached for a suit control. A sudden look of panic filled his face as he realized that it had been damaged by the pipe. He had only a moment to blink before the silver robot sent a massive blast of energy through him, ripping past his shields and turning him into slowly fading vapor. With her energy drained, PRN6 fell to the ground. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== "Control," repeated the bridge officer, "He was attacking the Warlord's suit controls! " The princess smiled, "And so the Warlord is brought down by a barbarian armed with a stick. The Empress will be highly amused. When we take over this planet we must remember this individual and provide a suitable reward. What is the status of our mech?" "Her power fades mistress," reported the veteran battle mech, "She has used all of her reserves in the single attack. Without energy her core will fail. This mech will be no more." "Now what is that local doing?" asked the princess. "Mam, he's found the universal energy port. But without a suitable source of energy he can not save her." ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin didn't fully understand what his fingers had found, a round panel had popped open to reveal a inch-wide connector surrounded by a lighted display. Only one red light was lit, and it was slowly blinking. Kevin was sure this could only mean that the robot was going to die. "No!" he screamed. The pain made it difficult to think. "She saved my life! OK, emergency override, ah, transform bioenergy, yeah, zero reserve, ah transfer now!" He slammed his hand onto the strange connector and felt a stabbing coldness as the robot began to draw energy directly from him. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== Princes Yelotai gasped and stood up, "No! He can't be doing what I think he is!" "Yes mam, he is somehow transferring bioenergy from his body into the combat mech. But the safety interlocks should prevent this. This should not be possible! His life signs are growing fainter. This barbarian is giving up his life to save a mech!" From the back of the bridge the tall battle mech could only watch and record. ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin felt his hand fall away from the robot, breaking the connection. With his diminished vision he could not tell if the power indicator had changed. Behind him, unnoticed by Kevin, three fierce looking lizard-like alien warriors faded into view as they turned off their stealth fields. Silently they watched the barbarian who had defeated the Warlord and ended their chances for employment. The leader turned away and started the long walk back to their shuttle. Kevin gasped, "I have failed you my princess. I die dishonored." and dropped to the ground. The three aliens stopped and turned around. After a moment the leader said, "This warrior is mistaken. He has stabilized the Empire robot. All that would be needed are a few energy cells." Three metal cylinders dropped to the ground near the silver mech. The second alien reported, "Sir, this robot is equipped with biorepair emitters. If restored it could heal this warrior." The leader nodded and bent down. With quick movements he inserted the power cells, one at a time, into the energy port. Within seconds the power meter moved from red to yellow and finally showed two bars of green. PRN6 found herself restored once again, though this time she was barely functioning. In front of her were three armed aliens. Before she could act the one closer to her shouted, "Empire robot! We are not hostile to you! We have restored power to you so that you may aid this warrior. Know this, it is he that saved you, giving you his own energy. We have only completed his task to honor his bravery in combat!" PRN6 felt herself freeze, could they be telling the truth? The ganic at her side needed emergency aid, his body temperature was much lower than it was before. She scanned her internal systems and felt - something different - he had done something. Some long dormant sub-routine operated for the first time. Her tactical display changed, he was now flagged with a new icon. She rushed to him and placed her undamaged left hand onto his chest. Moments later her one operational biorepair field generator reached out into him and began the healing process. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======= All present on the bridge had stopped to watch the drama unfolding on the main view screen. "They are Sslindar, mam. Nomadic mercenaries who hire themselves out to the highest bidder. I believe they are helping because they honor bravery in battle. Also, I can't help thinking that they too want to see have this plays out. Please note that we are again receiving tactical data from the battle mech. Note the icon now used for the local. He is no longer a candidate, he has been accepted." "Accepted for what?" asked the princess. "They are bonded, mistress," answered the tall battle mech, "He has proven himself a Mech True Friend." ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin found the pain and deep feeling of emptiness slowly fading. He opened his eyes to find the silver robot close to him. "Are you with me, my captain?" she asked. Kevin smiled and said, "I am with you my princess. Now and forever, I am with you." The robot sat there silently for several minutes until Kevin asked, "Are you with me, my princess?" The silver robot seemed to glow as it replied, "I am with you my captain. Now and forever, I am with you." PRN6 felt a sudden peace as she gazed into the face of her bond-mate. After a moment Kevin waved at the three watching aliens, "Who are our visitors?" PRN6 was pleased that her captain had quickly turned to business, "These are Sslindar. Their entire race travels in space from system to system. They are highly feared warriors who live by a strict code of honor." Kevin thought for a moment, "Nomads. But not, I think, by choice. I am in their debt. But how can I repay them?" Kevin forced himself up and faced the three aliens. "My princess, you need to update your data. These are not nomads, they are the newest recruits to the Earth Defense Force!" The alien commander laughed, "And why would you think that we would protect you? How would you pay us?" Kevin smiled and said, "I've found that most would freely defend their own - home world!" ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== The tall officer dropped into his seat, stunned at the sudden turn of events. "So," the princess remarked, "the equation changes. What other surprises are waiting for us?" "Mam, we're detecting very heavy energy spikes, there may be several very large stealth fields coming closer to them!" ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin felt an odd ringing in her ears which seemed to be coming from a near-by tree. Looking down he noticed two large areas of flattened grass. "My princes, are there the robot equivalent to our new friends? Perhaps those with no real home, forced to travel between the stars?" He walked closer to the tree, which made the ringing become louder. He smiled and said to the tree, "I would imagine that they would also be greatly feared. What would happen if the two forces were to merge? I think my people would add some interesting combined arms and small unit tactics. It would take us some time, I think, to come up to speed making proper replacement parts and such. But I think the combined tech of the three groups would be - interesting." The three aliens watched Kevin, certain that he become crazed. Suddenly, the one with the hand-scanner jerked in surprise. Kevin turned his back to the tree and said to the Sslindar, "Meet your new team mates, gentlemen! This should surprise a few folks!" Behind him five ten-foot-tall robots faded into view. While there was some slight similarity to a certain cartoon show, these were clearly of alien design, and heavily armed and armored. The one closest to Kevin rumbled, "We agree!" PRN6 saw her IFF scan change to show the new mechs, which she knew as the Destroyers, as friendly-military. Her tactical scan also showed the sudden approach of several of the warlords weapons drones, just now coming to revenge the loss of their controller. Without hesitation the five Destroyer mech opened fire on the attacking drones. The Sslindar followed within seconds. PRN6 moved to provide protection for her captain, but the dozen weapon drones were quickly, almost effortlessly destroyed. "Excellent," remarked Kevin, "That looked too easy. But I think you'll find that each of you brings different strengths to the team. Where one is weak, the other is strong. My people will be there too. We've been fighting each other for over two thousand years, so we might have learned a few things that could be useful. The Sslindar and Destroyers looked at each other for a moment. The alien leader shouted, "Who hasn't heard of the Destroyers! The only mechs we know of that fight with honor! Any who face our combined force will truly know terror!" The lead battle mech turned to face the Sslindar leader and rumbled, "Indeed." PRN6 placed her undamaged hand on Kevin's shoulder. He reached up and felt the warm smoothness of her silver skin. Each longed to embrace the other but felt the fool for feeling so. ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== Princess Yelotai sat in stunned silence. The Empire had been forced to fight both of these nomadic warriors many times. And it seemed they had suddenly joined forces to protect the very planet that her fleet was now nearing. "Have we established communications with the battle mech?" "Not yet mam, the mech appears to be heavily damaged. However, we are close enough to heterodyne an audio pickup. Our translation matrix is already on line," reported the tall bridge officer. "Destroyer mechs have acted to protect our unit," rumbled the tall battle mech, "The local appears to be in command." Princess Yelotai nodded in agreement. Yes, the equation had changed greatly. ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== Kevin sat down to think. While the silver robot had somehow healed much of his injuries, he still felt very weak and fragile. He looked up and said, "My princess, the Empire fleet should be here very soon. Can you make contact with them?" The silver robot replied, "No my captain, I have suffered too much damage. But I do agree on your assessment." "Well commander, what shall we do when the Empire invasion fleet arrives?" asked the Sslindar leader. Kevin shook his head, "The Empire isn't coming to invade, Earth is an independant world. How else could we act as friend and protector to the Empire? No, the fleet is bringing someone to complete negotiations on the training base that they are setting up on our forth planet. The Empire needs us independent because sometimes action needs to e taken without Empire fingerprints. I don't fully understand the politics of this. I guess you have to be royalty to figure it out." PRN6 asked, "And how do you know of this things my captain?" Taking a deep breath, Kevin made his biggest gamble yet, "I know these things because I am an Imperial sleeper agent!" ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== For several minutes the normal calm was broken by angry shouts and questions. Princess Yelotai allowed this to continue as it gave her a moment to think. What the local said was perfectly correct on several levels. The Empire did need access to a force it could hire to perform special missions. While the Grand Fleet had the power to destroy entire worlds, it was sometimes too powerful an instrument for more delicate tasks. She brought up information on the system's forth planet. It actually wasn't too bad as a training site. The close proximity to an asteroid field and a friendly populated planet made it better than some she had seen. Princess Yelotai smiled, if the Empire was paying rent to use a training facility, and she could guess who would be the opposition force during training, it would side-step certain - political - issues that came with the building of a full-scale fleet base. But what did he mean by those last two statements? The princess stood up and waved the others to silence. She felt that she now understood the hidden meaning in his words. "I will contact the Empress directly. Prepare a long-range communication channel. I must confirm what has just been reported." With that she spun around and marched off of the command bridge, her speed turning her into a blue and gold blur. ========[ Kelso Parkway - Irvine - California ]======== "It will take time for our fleets to gather in this system, but that should give your political leaders the time they require to adjust to our arrival," reported one of the Sslindar. Kevin could only think of a million ways this situation could explode. Even now sirens were getting closer as Irvine fire and police made their way through the carnage. He gazed at one of the old blimp hangers and smiled as he got a sudden inspiration. "How would you guys like to become Devil Dogs?" he asked, "They are a small but very flexible military force with a long tradition of honor and military professionalism. If I could present a combined force decked out in Marine colors I think that would tip the scales in our favor. Now most of the force would remain the Terrain Defense Force, eventually under the command of the UN Security Council, but there's nothing to say that some of you could join the US Marines. All I need now is a way to get us to Washington so that we can make a show of turning command over to the President. Then we'll be set!" "That is good, my captain," remarked PRN6, "But what is a president?" ========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]======== It had been nearly twenty minutes before Princess Yelotai returned to the command bridge. When she did she calmly made her way to the command chair and sat down. "The moment this local took up arms against our enemy and placed his life on the line to protect the Empire, he was one of us. That he also neutralized two additional threats, and in fact turned them into potential assists, proves that he has acted to protect the stability of the Empire. Add to that the training facility we shall establish." She turned to one of the bridge officers, "Do you know what they call the forth planer?" "No mam, but I can extract that quickly if you wish!" She smiled, "Don't bother, I already know. It is called Mars. It is a perfect name for a military training facility. That is their name for an ancient god of war. Now as to the sleeper status of our new friend, by Imperial decree he has been granted a special rank which lies halfway between naval ensign and lieutenant. The actual title will be revealed at a promotion ceremony we will conduct on the surface of the planet. But I can tell you that it is a rank that has been unused by the Empire for nearly two thousand years. This rank was decreed by the Empress herself to have been in effect as of the first blow delivered by Mr. Nelson to the Warlord." The tall mech took to one knee and rumbled, "You honor Mech True Friend mistress. We thank you!" "Well, there is the matter of the damaged battle mech. We should send a shuttle to pick them both up. From what I can see, both of them require healing. Launch a rescue shuttle when ready!" The tall bridge officer reported, "Shuttle away mam. It seems that there was one on standby for some time." "Why am I not surprised!" Laughed the princess. <><><><><> SILVER DREAMS - CHAPTER TWO <><><><><> ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Medical Facility Twenty-Seven ]========== Kevin Nelson was amazed and amused by the high technology used by the medical team. In many ways what he was seeing was oddly familiar. But then, thirty years of Star Trek will do that. The one thing that was different from the TV shows and movies was that everything was so quiet and calm. It felt more like a temple than an emergency room. But Kevin assumed that this was just a difference in culture. The one thing that was exactly the same as any Earth medical facility he had been in was that no one seemed willing to tell him anything. He signed and got off of the low table he had been sitting on for the last half hour and made his way towards the entrance. He figured that somebody would suddenly realize that he was moving and leap into action. Two minutes later Kevin stood in an empty hallway. "Well, that was a wonderful plan. All I want to do is grab an hour or so of sleep. I'm so tired of all of this Star Wars mystery stuff." he muttered to himself, "Is there any place I can just lay down?" A blinking blue spot of light appeared on the floor in front of Kevin. When he walked towards it the spot moved down the hallway. Kevin smiled and said, "Thanks ship! Just lead me where I need to go!" As he followed the blue spot Kevin walked past several alien crew members and robots. All of them seemed to be very busy but most would offer a greeting as they walked by. After ten minutes he arrived at a door which opened for him. Inside was a small room and what was clearly a bed. As he walked towards the bed Kevin said, "Thanks ship, I owe you one!" Behind him the door closed and sealed. Kevin was surprised to discover that he was not alone. On the bed was a tall gray woman. Her arms and legs were composed of a mass of thin rope-like muscles. She didn't have hair and her skin looked dry and gray. For some reason Kevin though that there was something very wrong with her. The woman looked up at Kevin and gasped, "Come closer to me so that I may crush you!" Kevin took a step back and said, :"Well, maybe you can kill me later, but first tell me what's going on? What's the matter with you?" "Don't you know, Imperial Assassin? You have starved me, hoping that I would give up our secrets. And though I am near my death and you are preparing to destroy my sisters, I will tell you nothing!" The woman tried to move towards Kevin, her wirey muscles rippled with the effort. Kevin felt a sudden wave of heat and dizziness as she seemed to stare right through him. He took another step back and fell to the floor as a searing pain filled his head, "I am not from the Empire! I'm from the planet we're near, it's called Earth. Perhaps I can help your people, get them away from the Empire. I've done it twice already today, so I don't think anyone will notice if I do it a third time. Besides, I think you've already told me your big secret. You're telepathic, right?" The gray woman gasped in pain, "Curse my weakness! But I already know what you say is true! My mind has seen all that you are, Save my people and I will complete your desires. The link has taught me all of your secrets, even ones that you are not aware of." Suddenly all pain fled from his brain. Kevin stood up and said, "Ship! I have a big favor to ask! Can you send some food for her? I guess that she's going to be transferring to Earth, if that's OK with everyone?" A crisp female voice came down from the ceiling, "Shall I pass on orders to the Earth Defense Fleet that they are to transport the impacted population to Earth? If that is your command then I will request that the Planetary Invasion Order be postponed. BattleNet is in agreement that your orders would save the lives of over one hundred thousand ground troops. That would have triggered a Planetary Destruction Order, resulting in the total elimination of the impacted population." For a moment Kevin could only breath, his mind filled with images of mass destruction. "Yes," he whispered, "Yes! Send the fleet!" He turned towards the gray woman, "If we get your strength back up, can you send a message to your sisters? They need to know!" "If you feed me, I will show you strength as you have never know it!" The gray woman smiled for the first time. The door slid open, revealing a large blue barrel. To Kevin it looked like one of those blue recycling bins that everyone was forced to use. He opened it up to find that it was filled with a pungent brown goo that smelled more like fertilizer than any food he had seen. "Just great! Hey, I wonder if the bathroom has some kind of tub! Then all that I've got to do is drag the killer plant babe into the bath room!" It took several minutes for Kevin to drag the blue barrel into the bathroom and tip it over. After he had gotten a six-inch layer of goo into the tub he went back into the main room to bring in the gray woman. He found that she had actually started before him and was off the bed and part way towards the bath room. With his remaining strength he dragged her next to the tub and dropped some of the brown goo near her. "OK plant lady, "he gasped, "That's it for me - I can't do any more - I'm sorry - but I feel so tired." Kevin faded into troubled sleep. ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]========== Princess Yelotai looked up from the data pad, "Telepathic? Why didn't we detect this before? Mr. Nelson appears to have the luck of the gods with him. This BattleNet assessment is damming. We would have lost far too many troops and mechs and would have been obligated to destroy this race. What other abilities do these people have that we have been blind to?" "Several hundred Earth ships are in route to transport the population. We can't see how more than a tiny fraction can be moved before the deadline," reported the tall bridge officer, "Unless Mr. Nelson delivers another surprise." In the back of the bridge the tall battle mech rumbled, "We can surprise as well." ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Security Quarters 233 ]========== Kevin woke up to find himself on the bed. He felt well rested and most of the pains had vanished. Sudden movement made him turn his head. The gray woman was sitting on the floor next to the bed and was offering him a tall glass of some orange liquid. As Kevin sat up and took the glass he realized that the gray woman was no longer gray. That barrel of food must had done some magic because her skin was now a hundred shades of green and her rope-like muscles had thickened with health and power. "My name is Panwoan, and you have saved my race, the Geenea. My sisters thank you and are pleased to join in the defense of the green planet Earth. Are you rested? I have some skills in healing and you were in great need." "How is the evacuation coming? When I saw that you were plant based I'd hoped that your sisters could load up a lot tighter than other folks. Hey! This is orange juice! It's pretty good too! Kinda reminds me of a good batch of Donald Duck. Whatever you did, thanks! I feel a lot better now. You could teach those Empire doctors a few tricks." Panwoan smiled, "My sisters adapted to the space offered for transport. We can go into a very deep sleep when needed so we were able to load several thousand in the same space that would carry less than a hundred of your people. This ship has been very helpful. I am learning much about the many cultures your world contains. This includes the strange concept of clothing," She stood up and flexed her muscles until they had nearly tripled in size, "Few of your people would be comfortable knowing our physical abilities, so I will construct clothing that will - misdirect them. We will, of course, hide nothing from you!" For a moment her muscles grew even larger and then quickly returned to normal size. "Wow! I don't know what to say!" The green woman smiled again, "If I may suggest, why not visit your robotic partner?" Kevin slapped his head, "Where is my mind? I hope she's not mad at me! I'll check back with you later!" ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]========== "Did you see that?" gasped one of the bridge officers. Another nodded, "The reports say that she's one of the smaller ones!" "They would be more than a match for our strongest battle mechs," remarked Princess Yelotai, "It would have been a slaughter if we had landed an invasion force. Our scans would have shown no technology, no weapons. But they ARE weapons. And they now belong to Earth. Inform the Quartermaster that we're going to need yet another medal for Mr. Nelson." "If they can really pack them in, as the locals say - like cordwood, then the transport fleet available to Earth could actually move all seven million of the Geenea," reported the tall bridge officer. ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Mechanical Maintenance Center 95 ]========== As before, Kevin had followed a blinking blue spot as the ship led him through the maze of corridors. Most had the same feel as the rest of the ship he had seen, but this new area was different. The floor and walls were bare metal and the lighting was harsh and bright. He passed more robots, this area seemed to be filled with them, and walked through another open doorway. In the back of this room stood his "princess", or rather, three silver robots which looked exactly like the silver woman he had bonded with. Kevin slowly walked towards the three robots, searching for a clue as to which one was he new friend. But as he stood close to each one he could not feel that flash of warmth he had felt before. "I'm sorry my princess," he said, "I can not tell if you are standing here, it's as if you are not even in this room!" He dropped to his knees and moaned, "It's as if I've lost you! Oh, my princess!" Suddenly Kevin felt - something - a familiar and much welcome warmth. But it was coming from behind him and not from any of the three silver robots in front of him. As he spun around Kevin gasped as he saw a forth silver robot walk into the room. But this one was different, she was more feminine and more athletic looking at the same time. Were the other robots were walking artwork, this one was a robophile's wet dream. "Princess?" he stammered, "Have you been working out?" "My captain, this was an unfair test!" said PRN6 as she helped him stand, "But the others demanded that I give some proof that we were truly bonded. This test you have passed as I knew you would. Oh my captain, I have missed you so!" As they embraced Kevin could instantly tell that the silver robot had been more than repaired, she had been enhanced. "They upgraded you, didn't they? As a reward for dealing with that guy - the Warlord - right?" "Yes, my captain. Several of my primary systems have been updated. My shielding and armor have been increased over three hundred percent and my power system now contain nearly five times the energy than they did before. I have increased resolution in both sensors and communications and have additional secondary weapon systems. They were unable to upgrade my primary weapons due to lack of space, but the new power system allows me to fire at a higher cycle-rate. They have installed experimental power servos in me that allows me to match the physical strength of any mech up to Reaper Class. You may have noticed that my design uses liquid metal to protect all of my joints. My new design uses over six times the liquid metal as before. And that was so I could do this!" PRN6 raised her arms into a classic double-biceps pose and slowly flexed. Kevin was stunned, "You - did this for me?" he stammered as he ran his hands along her perfect biceps. A flashing red strobe caught his eye, "What's going on, is there an emergency?" One of the other silver robot turn towards him and said, "There was an engineering emergency, several ganics and mechs were injured. They are bringing one of the damaged mech to this facility. He appears to be in great pain!" He looked up at PRN6 and said, "Take me there, I want to see!" Moments later Kevin stood in the back of a large room filled with robots. One large robot was laying on a low work bench and was thrashing about wildly ever few seconds. This robot was screaming in electronic pain. Kevin watched for several minutes as the other robots tried to diagnose the problems. Suddenly he realized that he was seeing a tiny blue flash every time the robot screamed. The other robots moved away in shock as he forced his way towards the injured robot. Yes, there was a blue flash, and it was coming from behind the damaged robots left leg. "Flip him over!" Kevin shouted, "There is a power short in the back of his left thigh!" At once the thrashing robot was forced onto his face and his left leg was secured and scanned. A short robot painted in red and green turned to Kevin and rumbled, "Thank you True Friend, we can complete the repairs now that you have isolated the hidden damage for us! His core was in danger and the random power flow was disrupting our scans. I can tell that you have performed many repairs, we will not forget this." ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]========== "Mam, we are position and ready to launch shuttles. The Earth Defense Force signals they are ready to deploy the honor guard," reported the tall bridge officer. Princess Yelotai, now wearing a more formal outfit than before, asked, "Have you managed to locate Mr. Nelson?" "He has been in mech quarters, mistress," rumbled the tall battle mech, "It seems that he assisted in the emergency repair of a damaged engineering mech. He demonstrated unexpected skills and saved the mech from core loss." "Have the uniform delivered to him and inform him that we leave for Earth in twenty of his minutes," ordered the princess. ==========[ Area Fifty-Four - Nevada ]========== "General, the EGG has just become active! It seems to be receiving energy from an outside source!" Looking up from yet another useless but important report, the grim-faced General Granite asked, "What exactly do you mean by active? Is it glowing or making odd clucking sounds? You've been playing with that thing for over sixty years and frankly I expect to be retired before you get anything useful from it. It's been nothing but a headache and that's including that dammed security breach back in the seventies. Nano-Nano my ass!" The tall scientist pushed back his thick glasses and explained, "Well sir, at this moment it is hovering two feet above the floor. Dr. Reynolds says he's picking up an audio signal. There's someone out there broadcasting messages and they are not human. Based on our latest simulations, this is roughly what we expect them to look like!" The general was handed a painting which showed the EGG with a human standing next to it for scale. Standing on the other side of the artifact was the outline of an eight-foot tall humanoid with massive arms and legs, "This is based the theory that the controls are not damaged and the pilot was much stronger than we are?" asked General Granite. "Yes sir! The lack of seats or support straps has made this difficult to estimate. But the only other theory is for the aliens to have incredible physical strength but be the size of young children. The team has rejected that as totally absurd!" ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Security Quarters 233 ]========== Back in the room the ship had fist led him to, Kevin grabbed a quick shower and struggled into the uniform the Empire has sent for him. It was black and green and stiff enough to be a real uniform, but it didn't look like anything he recognized. As he had requested it has no markings or rank insignia. He figured that he was in enough trouble as it was and didn't want to add impersonating an officer. Panwoan seemed taller than he remembered her, but it might have been the impressive green-on-green robe she was wearing. He liked her look, though it reminded him of the robes worn by Vulcan priests on one of the Star Trek movies. In any case, it did make her look more mysterious and covered everything except her hands.. "It is time we left for the shuttle bay," remarked PRN6, "Your uniform will serve." He nodded and walked towards the open door. A blinking blue dot waited to lead him to the proper shuttle bay. His two companions formed up behind him. Kevin did not know it, but the total lack of markings on his uniform actually marked him as having a very high rank in the eyes of those that saw him. The mystery was enhanced by the two females who gracefully marched behind him. When they reached the shuttle bay Kevin found a tall woman he had never seen waiting for him. "I am Imperial Princess Yelotai. I hope you have enjoyed your stay with us. I shall be representing the Empire during the negotiations with your political class. You will be pleased to know that the Empire has agreed to give Earth independent status. You actions in dealing with a number of - problems - has gone a long way towards making this possible." the princess explained. Up close Kevin could see that she was young and very athletic. He suspected that she was another female of great physical strength. The princess continues, "You have given us several - issues - to resolve. One of which is the official relationship between you and the Empire Of Worlds. The Empress has decreed that you are to hold the title of Knight Radiant of the Empire. This is an ancient rank which has not been used for over a thousand years. It is more than an honorary title but less than a true command rank. I have studied some of your own customs and am prepared to conduct a formal ceremony once we reach your planet," she said as she patted a long sword which hung off her belt, "But officially you have held this rank since your combat with the Warlord." On her belt, something within the very metal of the ancient sword stirred. Something that had been sleeping became alert. It took another few moments to load the shuttle. Kevin noticed that a dozen soldiers, later identified as Imperial Marines, were already on board. They looked crisp, professional and heavily armed. He was glad than he sat between his two companions. Quicker than he expected, the shuttle lifted off of the deck and plunged through a large portal and into space. Ahead of the shuttle, brighter than he had expected, was the Earth. He hoped that the special team he had requested from his new friends was waiting for them. <><><><><> SILVER DREAMS - CHAPTER THREE <><><><><> ==========[ Ivic-Icen Armada - Transport Prime - Command Chamber ]========== The Grand Lord Marshall relaxed in his raised command chair. He gazed at the females working on the bridge and enjoyed what he saw. Though the Ivic-Icen were physically much smaller than nearly all of the sub-races they conquered, thousands of years of breeding had greatly enhanced the physical abilities of their female warriors. Even though the average Ivic-Icen female was one to two heads shorter than the average male, each carried from three to six times the muscle mass. In addition, the female muscle had nearly ten times the tissue density of male Ivic-Icen muscle. This gave them incredible toughness and allowed the female warriors to carry very heavy and very deadly weapons. If there was a weakness to be found, the Grand Lord Marshall thought, it was his race's curse that so few males were produced in ratio to female births. To make matters worse, each adult female was able to produce an endless stream of additional females all by herself. Because of this he now found himself as the only full-male in a thousand ship fleet which now carried over ten million female warriors. Nearly two-thirds of that number would be landed on the green planet ahead of him, each driven into a killing frenzy by special drugs. He smiled, even though they had been ordered to use their weapons he knew that many of the females would kill using only their bare hands. Nothing had been found that could stop a female Ivic-Icen while she was in a frenzy. Though this planet had a defensive fleet nearly a third the size of his own, the Grand Lord Marshall knew that they too would fail far too quickly to be interesting. He rose and ordered his current favorite female to join him in his private chambers. It would be nearly three orbits until the fleet was within launch range, more than enough time for pleasure. In his private chambers he had assembled some artifacts that had been brought back by Ivic-Icen scouts. He ordered the female to disrobe, which revealed her thick hairless body. Ancient drawings showed that the female arm was once much smaller, shorter and weaker than they were now. Over thousands of years of controlled breeding and genitic enhancements had changed the Ivic-Icen females at a cellular level. The first test was something called a six-hundred-pound barbell. It appeared to be a thick pole which had several metal disks on each end. The Grand Lord Marshall knew that he had had great difficulty lifting just one of those disks. He ordered the female to lift the bar above her head using only one arm. She walked over to were the barbell rested on two massive support stands. She grabbed the bar and began to curl it up, her biceps doubled in size - tripled in size - and continued to grow until it was larger than a human head. Slowly, smoothly, the heavy barbell rose off of the stands and towards the female. When she had curled it to her massive breast she began to push it upward. More muscles along her body grew to gigantic size. Her dark eyes stared at the Lord Marshal, seeking his approval, and perhaps something else. He smiled and ordered her to lower the barbell. When it was back on the support stands he handed her the other artifact, the oddly-named crowbar. Unlike other races, the breasts of Ivic-Icen were actually composed of muscle and not soft tissue. While there were few things that a female could actually do with her brest muscles, when fully flexed they became as though as heavy armor. He ordered the obedient female to bend the crowbar. Instantly her entire upper body, including her muscular breasts, exploded in size as she strained to complete her task. Within moments the four-foot-tall female Ivic-Icen had twisted and bent the crowbar in a way no human could ever match. Her dark eyes blazed with lust. The Grand Lord Marshall was ready as well. ==========[ Washington DC - Mount Vernon Square ]========== Kevin was pleased by the look the Sslindar and D-mechs had achieved. The force in front of him looked like any bunch of US Marines he had seen on the Military Channel, that is, if those Marines were actually Space Marines. He noticed the red shield emblem of the 1st Division, his father's last post. Kevin hoped nobody would get upset as the eighty Sslindar and twenty mechs marched towards the White House. So far DC Police had managed to keep the shocked crowd away. Something about seeing space craft land and armed ten-foot-tall robots would do that to the average person running out to lunch. It would take nearly a half hour to complete the march down New York avenue to Lafayette Square. Kevin desperately wanted this to look like a parade instead of an invasion. He had been pleased to discover that the PA system of all of the mechs could be linked and had already had a selection of Sousa marches playing. In the front of the parade two Destroyer mechs acted as color-guard, though Kevin was unsure where they had gotten the large United States and Marine Corps flags to carry. The cheering crown made Kevin think that he might pull this off when he overheard the first radio report. Fifteen minutes later the group had made the half-way point. "Mam!" reported one of the Imperial Marines, "An unidentified fleet of large size has just entered this system. They are coming in at high velocity and several smaller units have already entered the atmosphere of this planet. Mam, our fleet is under attack! We appear to be outnumbered three to one and initial scans show their energy profiles to be nearly one hundred percent primary weapons! BattleNet reports one of their advance units is passing very close to our position! It believes that they may be deploying ground troops." Princess Yelotai spun around, "Back to the shuttle! Order the fleet to hold as best they can and prepare to withdraw! We must brake contact and inform the Empire of this threat! I'm sorry Sir Nelson, but we are not prepared to deal with such an unknown force. Hopefully we can return in time to save some of your people. But for now you are on your own!" "OK guys!" shouted Kevin to the fake Marines, "Best speed to Lafayete Park, it's near the White House. We can link up with whatever defense they have there. We don't know what's coming, so be on your guard!" All of the Space Marines moved out at a pace that was much faster than Kevin could keep up with, leaving Kevin and his two companions alone on the street. Somehow the word had gotten out and the thick crowds had melted away, leaving a handful of puzzled police officers. Suddenly Kevin heard the sounds of a intense fire-fight coming from two blocks behind him." "The princess! She didn't make it back to the shuttle! Come on!" Kevin began running back towards Mount Vernon Square where the shuttles had landed. Two sudden pillars of smoke and flame told him that the shuttles were no more. PRN6 stopped him as she scanned the next street, "Unknown alien warriors were her, but have moved on!" They entered the last block to find the entire Imperial detachment down on the ground. Kevin ran towards Princess Yelotai and found her barely alive. "My princess, see if you can heal her! Panwoan, check the others! I'm going to try to get this radio working!" For several minutes Kevin tried to operate the alien device. "Hello! This is Kevin Nelson, is anyone there? Hello?" Finally the device responded, "This is BattleNet, we recognize you Sir Nelson. Please report your status." "We've been attacked, all of the Imperial Marines are down! Princess Yelotai is injured and unconscious. I haven't seen the enemy yet, but I know they're close. How is the space battle going?" "We are losing badly Sir Nelson. Nearly a third of our combined fleet already suffers heavy damage. The enemy fleet is acting to cut off all of our lines of retreat. All command and control channels are currently off-line. What do you recommend?" "What? You're asking ME for advice? Things are looking bad then. OK, have you detected any weakness in the enemy ships or tactics that might give us an advantage?" stammered Kevin as he hunched over the alien radio. BattleNet responded, "The enemy ships appear to be totally focused on ship-to-ship combat. Even the smallest enemy ship appears to mount primary weapons normally seen on much larger capital ships." "Wait a second! Let me think!" shouted Kevin, "If all they have is big guns, are they prepared to deal with smaller attackers?" "Our scans indicate that the enemy would have increasing difficulty defending against smaller opponents." reported BattleNet. "Well then, scramble all fighters!" Kevin screamed. Just then a bright flash flew over his head and slammed into something behind him. As he was tossed away from the radio he failed to hear BattleNet respond, "Orders confirmed." Kevin was stunned for several minutes and when he came to the enemy had once again left the area. He ran toward the others, only to find both PRN6 and Panwoan motionless on the ground. "No!" Kevin screamed. He felt his pain turn to anger as he searched for a weapon he could use. =========[ Empire Of Worlds Flee 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]========== "All escape vectors blocked, there are too many of them!" screamed one bridge officer. "Wait! We're getting orders relayed through BattleNet, it looks like they made contact with someone of command rank! They want us to arm and launch all small craft!" shouted another. "Why?" commanded a third, "Ah, I see it, right there! The enemy targetting scans, they don't have the resolution to lock onto small targets! This is exactly what we need, a gap in their defense matrix! Launch all fighters and combat shuttles!" "Who gave the order? They might have just saved us all!" asked the first bridge officer. "Sir Nelson, of course," rumbled the old battle mech. ==========[ Ivic-Icen Armada - Transport Prime - Command Chamber ]========== The Grand Lord Marshall felt the ship shake as another heavy missile struck them. "Who is attacking us? Destroy them before they damage us any more!" he screamed. "I am sorry Lord Marshall," answered one of the warrior females, "We are unable to establish a targeting lock on any of the new ships. They are below the minimum size for a military vehicle." He felt another series of heavy impacts, the lighting flickered and dimmed. With a crash a heavy support beam tore free from the ceiling and pinned his current favorite female to the floor. The Grand Lord Marshals last sight was her muscular chest trying to lift the multi-ton beam. Moments later the Transport Prime exploded into a rapidly expanding ball of flame and energy. The rest of the Ivic-Icen fleet felt the loss of the only full-male in the system. Reactions slowed, orders became difficult. The armada had lost it's edge. ==========[ Camp Zebra Zero - Iraq ]========== "Jackson, get those fire teams on the perimeter now! That last update shows from seven to ten thousand hostiles coming up fast!" "Sergeant Major! That's over ten to one odds! What about air support?" "No go, the last recon shows one out of every ten carries some kind of SAM. And they're better than Stingers! They shot down a stealth flying at twenty-thousand feet. So this is going to be a ground action. The good news is that everything has been authorized by command. We should be getting some MLRS action in about a minute or so. We'd get more but Baghdad is about t be hit!" "Who the hell are we fighting?" "Command says they're invaders from space. Oh yeah, we have a space fleet no one knew about and there's a major battle going on. And the strangest thing I've heard is the First Division has got a detachment of giant robots defending Washington!" ==========[ New York Avenue - Washington DC ]========== Kevin dropped the energy rifle, "Aarrgh! By the time I figure out these ray-guns the war will be over! I need something a dumb barbarian like me can use! Too bad there are no gun stores in DC. Now, if this was Chicago or Los Angeles I'd be golden!" At his feet lay the soul-sword that Princes Yelotai had been wearing. The intelligence within, the spirit of the long-dead princess Hadina, was now fully awake and aware of her surroundings. Hadina found it hard to believe that such an unsuitable individual had been made of Knight of the Empire, but she had overheard a battle fleet of the Empire accept his command, so it must be true. That he now sought a suitable weapon for a mission of vengeance was more to her liking. Kevin had earned her respect when he seemed to reject using ranged weapons. What honor could that bring a true Knight? Her needed HER, and she wanted desperately to serve a knight, any knight. She would serve even one as strange and unsuitable as he seemed to be. Kevin heard the soft click as the sword slid three inches out of it's sheath. He reached down and pulled the sword the remainder of the way out. It felt good in his hand, almost as if it had been custom made, "Not as clumsy and imprecise as a blaster!" He laughed as he fitted the sheath to his belt, "The blood, she is going to flow tonight!" Hadina felt herself warm to her new Knight. Her last one did not have a sense of humor. Sword in hand, Kevin rushed towards the sounds of alien speech. As he turned the corner he found himself face to face with nearly a hundred heavily armed Ivic-Icen warriors. Unprepared for close combat, Kevin gained the advantage as he swung the sword wildly. The soul-sword glowed brightly as Kevin cleanly sliced off the heads of a dozen of the tightly packed aliens. The Ivic-Icen fired wildly, but were unable to target the enemy who was now inside their formation. The near-by convention center took the brunt of the fire, each blast with the power of several RPGs. The smoke and dust from the buildings made it even more difficult for the warriors to target Kevin, which resulted in dozens of their own warriors being killed by friendly fire. In moments the remaining warriors ran screaming from the battle, spreading the word of a giant four-armed monster. Kevin staggered through the haze and rubble. Around the corner from the battle he heard an odd grunting noise, as if an animal were trying to dig it's way free. Slowly he peered around the fallen rubble only to see one of the short alien warriors. From the looks of things it had been near the edge of an explosion and had been tossed here, only to be pinned by tons of fallen debris. The explosion had also stripped away all equipment and clothing. The alien, though pinned helpless, was fully aware of Kevin approach and was clearly screaming something at him in an angry tone. "Wow, you are certainly female. You're a little shorter than I normally go for, but those muscles are amazing!" Looking down he spotted a feather and smiled, "Let's see if we can get a different reaction from you! I really want to feel those muscle, but I also really don't want you to kill me!" Slowly Kevin began to stroke the alien female with the feather along her nipples and between her legs. The female Evic-Icen stopped screaming at Kevin and began to tremble and coo. She had never felt this before, very few of her sex ever had. The pressure continued to build up, and at the same time all of her muscles grew larger with each passing moment. Finally the pressure released, her orgasm ripping though her muscular body like a shock wave. Kevin thought he saw one of the large blocks of concrete move an inch. The alien went limp, as if she had died, so Kevin left the feather between her breasts and moved back out into the street. Sroghik woke up to find herself still pinned, and with the feather laying between her breasts. She could still feel her body tremble from the orgasm. The face of the alien male was etched into her memory. She longed to be with him with every cell of her body. Sroghik remembered that one of the blocks had moved, so she focused all of her strength on it. She didn't need to lift these weights, only to free herself. The minutes dragged on, never had she made such an effort, but then never had she wanted to be with a male as much as she did now. After nearly an hour she staggered away from the debris. Sroghik stopped to strip the uniform from one of her sisters. Only her chosen male would gain pleasure from viewing her body. She smiled as she remembered, he liked her body Several blocks away PRN6 sat up, diagnostics showed little damage, though the heavy energy blast had forced her systems to shut down. A quick tactical scan showed Princess Yelotai was awake and being tended by Panwoan. There was no sign of her captain, "Where did Sir Nelson go to?" she asked. Princess Yelotai stood up, "Your partner is not around, and he seems to have taken my soul-sword. I'm afraid he will get an unpleasant surprise if he tries to draw that weapon. It will instantly kill anyone who is not of royal blood. We must find him first!" Panwoan pointed to a road next to the convention center, "I believe he went in that direction!" The three females began to track Kevin through the rubble. Princess Yelotai stopped to arm herself with a heavy pulse cannon from one of the dead Imperial Marines. Within moments they came across the site of Kevin's first battle. Over eighty dead alien warriors littered the street. Many showed signs of energy blasts or explosions, but over a third showed the death by blade. "I though only one of royal blood could wield a soul-blade," asked Panwoan. "Sir Nelson - has royal blood?" remarked Princess Yelotai, "This would explain a few mysteries!" The group continued on, slowly gaining on Kevin. Unseen by them, a short muscular female followed, armed with only a feather. Several block ahead of the group, Kevin had found a small team of alien warriors torturing a group of civilians. Not being able to survive the ranged weapons used by the aliens, Kevin was forced to sneak closer. The civilians looked like a urban street gang that had been he wrong place. Two aliens held weapons on five humans while another held a sixth human pinned to her chest using only the strength of her arms. A forth alien seemed to be looking at the handle of a large knife which was sunk deep into her left breast. She leaned back and flexed her body. Instantly her breasts expanded in size. Her uniform shirt was torn to ribbons, revealing breasts that were now larger than double-D. The alien warrior looked down at the humans flexed again, slowly pushing the knife out of her breast. She bent down and picked up a cheap-looking 9MM pistol. With crude gestures she made clear what she wanted and tossed the pistol to one of the gang members. He stood up and fired six bullets into the female warrior's unprotected breast. When he had emptied the pistol he it at her. It too bounced off of her rock-hard breasts and fell to the ground. The one female warrior that was holding the largest gang member shouted something and squeezed hard. The gang member screamed in pain and strained to break free, his twenty-inch arms clearly out-classed by the short alien female. Kevin could hear the sharp cracks as several of his ribs were crushed. She dropped the limp gang member on the ground and stepped back to join the two Ivic-Icen warriors with drawn weapons. Now that three of the aliens were lined up and finally within range Kevin leaped out of hiding and cleanly sliced off their heads. The forth female warrior spun around to find all of her sisters dead and Kevin holding a now brightly-glowing soul-sword. She dropped to her knees and started to howl in fear. In the distance came a strange but somehow familiar cooing sound. The female warrior stopped howling and looked up at Kevin was a strange look. "What the fuck are these things?" asked on the gang members, "Are we being invaded by mini-she-hulks?" Kevin smiled, "It's been a really strange day for me too. But I think the way this one's acting you've got a new friend." One of the other gang members walked up to the female warrior and grabbed her nipples. A shock wave of pleasure caused her muscles to spasm. The gang member smiled, "I think we can handle this from here, thanks mysterious stranger! Is that a light saber?" With a wave of his hand, Kevin turned around in search of more alien warriors to kill. Hadina was pleased. ==========[ Area Fifty-Four - Nevada ]========== "We've received one of the alien warriors from Pendalton. They've removed all of her equipment and placed her in the restraint chamber. We had to make some adjustment due to her, well yes, size. Please come this way sir!" General Granite followed and asked, "You said HER equipment. Am I to understand that we managed to capture a female?" "Well sir, the reports indicate that all of the alien warriors that we have encountered are apparently female. Here she is!" The general came closer to the foot-thick tempered glass window. Large metal restraints, built to hold a powerful giant, looked like overkill when compared to the small hairless female they now held. "Is this some kind of joke? I've got grand-daughters who are bigger and more dangerous looking that this - this - girl! I'll grant you she's got big tits for a woman her size, but I can't match her up with the reports I've been reading. Could there be some mistake?" Beashik opened her eyes, the effects of the human drugs leaving her body. On the other side of the window were two men, a thin male wearing a white lab coat and another male wearing some form of uniform. She looked closer and saw the eagle insignia. Suddenly she understood! This male was testing her to see if she was suitable. Beashik had dreamed of this moment all of her life, so few of her sisters had even seen a male and here were two! She readied herself, clearly the one in the pretty uniform was the one she wanted to please!" "What the!" shouted the general. The captured female grew in size as her muscles exploded. In moments the two humans could see that the massive restraints were beginning to buckle under the pressure. The scientist pulled the general away from the window and slapped a large red button. A series of four-inch thick metal bars extended down from the ceiling and locked into place. Seconds later Beashik tore off the remaining restraints and threw herself at the window. It too three blows to shatter the armored glass. With the window gone General Granite could hear the alien making soft cooing sounds. Her small dark eyes seemed to blaze with - something. "Her strength is beyond reason! No natural environment could cause such a creature to exist! But don't worry General, she's stopped now! Not even an Abrams tank couldn't break through those bars, they're an experimental allow that's hundreds of times stronger than normal steel!" The scientist edged back towards the exit as General Granite inched closer to the alien. She didn't seem hostile. For a moment they stood there, the general confused and the alien female feeling her lust explode. Suddenly she took a step forward so that one of the bars fit within the cleavage between her c-cup breasts. A sudden hiss from behind told him that the scientist had run away and closed the heavy vault door. He was now sealed in with a monster. Or was she? General Granite, recently divorced and stuck in a dead-end assignment, just didn't give a rat's ass any more. Without hesitation he reached out and grabbed a fist-full of alien titty. Beashik felt her body instantly respond, growing in size and power as her male gave her pleasure as she had never known. The general was surprised as her breasts went from firm to iron-hard and expanded from c-cup to double-d and beyond. Her breasts now filled the space between the bars, and continued to expand. "OK baby," he said, "Show me what you can do!" The general stepped back and looked around the room, On a side table was a small tool box. He held up the vice-grips and smiled at her. ==========[ Empire Of Worlds Fleet 2619 - Flagship - Command Bridge ]========== "They are breaking formation! We've won!" reported one bridge officer. The tall bridge officer said, "Our losses are great, but we have crippled or destroyed over seven hundred of their ships. Additional ships from the Earth Defense fleet continue to arrive. I have recommended that all available ground troops land as soon as possible. The enemy forces on the ground still count in the millions. I want a strike team assembled to recover Princess Yelotai at once!" "Sir!", reports a third bridge officer, "A transport ship from the Earth Defense Force has made a hard landing near the last known location of Princess Yelotai. They have several thousand of the Geenea warriors. The enemy is about to be surprised!" ==========[ Camp Zebra Zero - Iraq ]========== The smoke was thicker than any natural fog. A massive artillery and missile barrage had splintered to Ivic-Icen ground force and caused nearly seventy percent causalities. The Marine force had managed to dig in and was pounding the alien warriors with mortar and heavy machine-gun fire. The heavy smoke appeared to hinder the aliens more than the humans, though their energy weapons had easily destroyed vehicles and killed several hundred Marines. Those few Marines who tried to fight hand-to-hand was instantly killed by the much stronger Ivic-Icen females. The marines had also learned the hard way that M16 fire couldn't stop them. Sergeant Major Moraines held up his right hand, "Cease fire! Listen! They've stopped advancing!" "Do you hear the weird screaming? It doesn't sound human?" asked Corporal Jackson. Suddenly three tall women wearing green robes appeared out of the smoke, "Greetings human warriors! We are from the Earth Defense Force! Please stop your weapons fire, we have neutralized the remaining enemy fighters." Several minutes later, as the smoke began to clear, the marines could see that a very large number of robed women had come up behind the shorter aliens and slaughtered enough to make them surrender. Sergeant Major Moraines was surprised to see that the green robed women were also tending injured Marines. "So, they can heal as well as kill. That makes them my kind of women!" One of the Geenea turned and looked at the Sergeant Major. She smiled at him, he was her kind of warrior. ==========[ New York Avenue - Washington DC ]========== Kevin continued to stumble his way towards Lafayette Park, hundreds of bodies covered the street. Most were human, both civilian and military, but there were a few of the short female warriors. When he was a block away from the park he could hear the sounds of combat. It didn't look good for his small force of fake-Marines. As he neared the edge of the park itself Kevin came a cross a large robot arm, clearly torn off my one of the powerful warriors. On the ground lay the large American flag. Kevin closed his eyes. Within the soul-sword Hadina already knew what her Knight was planning. As fumbling and untrained as he seemed to be, she had found his heart to be steady. She could even forgive him his odd preoccupation with female muscle. In fact, Hadina felt that it was his weakness which would provide him his greatest weapon. He opened his eyes and raised the flag with his left hand. Kevin drew the soul-sword with his right and began to march directly towards the alien horde. Unseen by him, he was joined by Princess Yelotai, PRN6 and Panwoan. When Kevin was less than one hundred feet from the Ivic-Icen he screamed and charged. The sword blazed in fury as he sliced his way through them and joined the surrounded defenders. For a moment the female warriors were stunned but then quickly re-focused on total destruction. Only a dozen defenders remained on their feet when all of the aliens suddenly stopped. In the silence a strange cooing could be heard. A path formed as a single female warrior made her way directly towards Kevin. When she saw him she ripped off her uniform and threw herself at his feet. In her hand was a single, long feather. "Have we been making friends again, Sir Nelson?" asked Princess Yelotai, the barrel of her pulse cannon steaming. Kevin handed the large American flag to PRN6 and sheathed his sword. He knelt down and ran his hand along the alien's muscular back, "Is all of this killing necessary? If all you really want is attention, I'm sure we can work something out." Sroghik didn't understand Kevin's words, but some of his meaning, his acceptance of her, came through. In one smooth motion she stood up and faced the other warriors. She screamed at her sisters what she felt was true. The Ivic-Icen knew that the male from their fleet was gone. That their fleet itself was gone. Alone on a hostile world with no one to turn to. Except - the very people they had been sent to kill. Sroghik raised the feather high and screamed again. The sound of nine hundred weapons hitting the ground surprised Kevin. The sound of nine hundred uniforms being stretched to the limit and beyond as nine hundred pairs of breasts exploded in size worried him. Two thousand nightmare-shaped Geenea warriors appeared at the edge of the park, but the Battle of Washington was already over. ==========[ Area Fifty-Four - Nevada ]========== Beashik screamed as her body jerked again and again with repeated orgasms. Her male was using special tools to stimulate her, and she was helpless to resist his demands. But she now knew what he wanted. Her breasts were stuck between metal bars of unusual hardness. Normally they would easily hold most Ivic-Icen females, but Beashik was in a state few of her sisters would ever reach. In one moment thousands of years of scientific breeding to increase muscle-mass and thousands of hours of special exercises to increase strength came together. "Holy shit!" shouted General Granite as the short woman's breasts exploded in size. As he stepped back the two vice-grips popped off of her nipples and hit the ground. Beashik's breasts slowly pushed the bars out of shape, the strongest human alloy no match for an alien female in lust. One powerful thrust of her hips and the center bar was snapped free from the floor and slowly pushed aside. She slowly walked up to him, looked up and softly cooed. General Granite picked up a hammer - and smashed the security camera. He reached out to Beashik and said, "Well, you showed me yours, so I guess it's my turn! Let's see those NASA weenies beat this!" <><><><><> SILVER DREAMS - CHAPTER FOUR <><><><><> ==========[ The White House - Washington DC ]========== It had taken two days to finally restore order. By then all fighting has stopped. Of the five million Ivic-Icen warriors that had landed on Earth, less than a million remained alive. Human losses were also in the millions, with the exact number uncertain for months. Thousands of green-robed Geenea spread out over the globe, saving over a million lives and earning a massive amount of good will for the Earth Defense Force. The Marine Corps calmly accepted the existence of the "space marines" and quickly established a training program designed to process a thousand of the new recites at a time. Kevin finally got to officially turn over command of the "space marines" to the president and Princess Yelotai publicly proclaimed him as a Knight Radiant of the Empire. When he took the soul-sword from her and it began to glow, political shock waves raced across the Empire. Hadina was pleased beyond measure at the honors present to HER knight. ==========[ Twenty-Second Street - Washington DC ]========== Hadhik felt the chains pull tight as the two teams of humans pulled her arms straight. The small stage of the private club barely held the twenty muscular men who were pitting their combined strength against hers. She wore a white long-sleeve top and a short black skirt. The top was so loose that her breasts were nearly invisible. While the six-inch heels took a little getting used to, Hadhik loved the look of her long blond wig. From behind her she felt her chosen human reach around and grab her breasts. As he whispered certain things in her ear he gripped her nipples with all his strength. In an instant her breasts exploded in size, filling the once-loose shirt to its limit. Suddenly several buttons shot out into the screaming crowd as her massive breasts rose into full view. Her chosen human reached over and started to slowly lick her nipples. Hadhik leaned back and screamed her lust. Her arms exploded in size, shredding the long sleeves. The twenty men, all weight lifters or body builders, fought with all of their strength. Slowly she pulled her arms into a classic double-biceps pose. Her upper arms looked thicker than her waist. Suddenly a bell rang and the twenty men dropped the chains, many of them dropping to the floor. Drew Jackson continued to fondle the fully inflated breasts of his new partner. She wasn't the brightest woman he had ever hooked up with, but she had an amazing memory and a more amazing muscular development. As his fingers found the small scar that remained from the knife he had stuck her with, he smiled as he remembered discovering her other secret. Later tonight the twenty muscle men would fight another, more female muscle. While she would still effortlessly defeat them all, it would be far more pleasurable. =====< New York City - United Nations - General Assembly >===== Several weeks had passed since the invasion had been defeated and as promised Kevin had made the trip to the United Nations to formally turn over command of the Earth Defenc Force to the Security Council. It was clear that many of the professional polititions were still in shock as the passed by the ten-foot-tall robots which were guarding the entrance. No one asked where the gift shop was getting all of the plush and action-figure robot replicas. But they were currently the most popular items, followed by all of the shirts and back packs with the blue-and-gold globe-and-shield Earth Defence Force logo. Kevin looked out at the crowd. Every eye followed every motion he made. He looked down at the list. Every ship had been renamed as he had suggested. He hoped the response would be as he hoped. "My name is Kevin Nelson, and for a brief period of time I acted as the commander of the Earth Defense Force. Since then command has rightfully been transferred to this body. This then is my final report. You may judge my fitness or lack of as you wish. I will begin. Two hundred and thirty ships of the Earth Defense Force took part in the Battle of Earth." For the next twenty minutes Kevin listed each ship, now named after the largest cities on Earth, how many crew were lost on each and how many enemy ships were destroyed or damaged by each. After the first few were listed the representatives of the country home to the city stood up during the description of battle's results. After he had finished what was later named the Roll Call of Honor all of the representative rose and cheered for several minutes. Kevin raised his hand and the room grew quiet. "As you know, we have over six hundred enemy warships floating throughout the system and nearly a million prisoners. I have been told we may be able to repair nearly half of these and add them tou our own fleet. As individuals, the female Ivic-Icen are not political, though they have certain characteristics which make them a potential physical danger. We have consulted with many experts on this issue and most agree that the best plan for now would be to absorb the entire population within the Earth Defense Force where they can be properly monitored and cared for. The last is important because during the breeding program which developed their amazing physical strength they lost much of their mental potential. " "That is not to say that they are child-like. No, they are as aware as any adult and often express adult needs and desires. But they don't have the basic problem-solving skills we take for granted in an average human child. On the other hand, the female Ivic-Icen has an almost computer-like memory, and most are able to learn multiple lanquages in a matter of days. The Geenea, who most of you are now calling the Green Sisters, will be taking charge of this monitoring program, though there will be openings for qualified human sponsors. The question of citizenship will be left to the individual countries. They may have been sent here to conquer us, but they are now a part of us!" With that Kevin gave a salute and left the room. Behind him a thousand political wheels began to spin. ==========[ Area Fifty-Four - Nevada ]========== General Granite looked down at the report and smiled. Many of the scientific observations about the Ivic-Icen females he had witnessed up close and very personal. His new - companion - gave his own observation great weight. What he hadn't known, but suspected, was that a special structure within each cell, similar to the mitochondria in human cells, produced bursts of chemicals which gave the females such powerful surges of strength. It was like having after-burners inside the muscle tissue. Some of the researchers were calling them mesochondria. These chemicals, which had yet to be isolated, not only provided large amounts of energy they also reinforced the cell walls, which caused the muscle tissue to greatly expand in size. There were reports of small arms fire simply bouncing off expanded muscle. The Ivic-Icen males were another story. Sadly, the only male in the invasion fleet had been turned into vapor. But captured documents, and an amazing amount of porn, had given them some information. The males averaged from six inches to one foot taller then the females, but we not as well developed and much weaker than the females. What they lacked in muscle they made up for in brains, and ego. The Ivic-Icen history was one civil war after another, always led by multiple male factions, which only ended when the system of producing invasion armadas was started. And then the general began to read the classified section of the report. The Ivic-Icen were facing two major problems, and Earth had made things much worse by daring to defeat an armada. The first problem was the vast difference between the number of females and the number of males on their home world. The most recent count showed over two billion females and less than a million males. The armada fleet was designed to use up as many females as possible and to bring back much needed raw materials. Their entire economy was centered around the need to maintain a large fleet and process plundered material. Earth had broken the cycle which had been working for hundreds of years. Beashik walked in, her movements graceful despite her increased bulk. She smiled at the general, he was her chosen male and she would do anything to please him. The scientists were helping her learn her physical and mental limits. She had already mastered three Earth languages, doubled her muscle mass and learned something called Swan Lake. Unfortunatly she had done poorly during the general's cooking lessons. Thankfully he seemed quite happy to command the kitchen while she managed the other chores around their shared apartment. Crushed ice was never a problem. ==========[ Private Quarters - Imperial Palace - Centrix Prime ]========== Empress Bimaa turned off the shower, letting the last streams of warm water flow off of her seven-foot tall body. As she stepped out she found her favorite daughter, Yelotai, standing there with one of the new towels she had brought from Earth. Though they were not as ornate as those purchased for her on Centrix, these Hilton towels were more - comfortable. "My daughter, what news of Earth have you brought me that could not be transmitted?" she asked. Princess Yelotai sat down on one of the ornate chairs which seemed to litter her mother's apartment, "The situation on Earth is more - complicated - than the news reports describe. You have heard the wild rumors that Sir Nelson has royal blood? I had samples taken from several million humans and brought to our medical labs for testing. All of the samples showed signs of artificial genetic markers. They do have royal blood, but it is from the First Epoch." "But that was nearly ten thousand years ago, our records from that time red like children's tales," the empress walked over to a low table and began to dress, her supple muscles flexed as she moved, still powerful even at her age, "Could Earth been visited by one of the exiled houses? But the distance from here to Earth would have been impossible with the ships of the time!" "Our technical staff feels that a small group might have been able to make the journey if they used sleep chambers," replied the princess, certain that Sir Nelson would have enjoyed the view of her mother's muscular back, "Using simple shuttles to land, they would have learned the local language and integrated themselves into the local leadership class. Over time the original group would have died out, but they would have left their mark. The transport ship would have broken up and burned up in the atmosphere. I've had several ships making deep scans, but finding signs of ship after so many years if difficult. However, there is a possible prize. The empress stepped into the ornate boots she so loved, the six-inch heels made her feel more powerful. Suddenly she stopped and turned towards her daughter, "You're hinting about something? But what could be valuable after all these centuries - wait! - the technology of the First Epoch was behind us in many ways - except when it came to computers! We have systems in the Imperial Museum which are still functional. Could you mean that we may discover such a system on Earth?" Yelotai closed her eyes, her mother was as quick as ever, "I would be surprised if we discovered a working system, but I hope to locate a memory matrix. An exiled royal house might have more than simple children's tales. Perhaps they would retain certain useful information that would help them return from exile. Say, the location to a lost planet." Empress Bimaa sat down, the muscles along her arms created moving shadows as her gripped the sides of the chair, "The recovery of such information would change - everything. But if we had invaded Earth as we should have - all of the signs would have been obscured by our own technology. By winning their independence and greatly limiting our presence on the planet we still have a chance! It seems we may owe Sir Nelson more than we can tell him." "Yes mother, you do understand that no one can learn of this. If one of the other houses were to discover it before us they would assume the imperial mantel. Our house would be reduced to a foot note in history, our rule one of the shortest on record." "We shall prepare a special fleet to travel to Earth and bring Sir Nelson back to Centrix. You will command this fleet. I want included in the fleet several of our most advanced survey ships. If there is a spark of First Epoch technology hidden within that system I want it found and brought directly to me! Do you understand, my daughter?" Princess Yelotai smiled and nodded. "Good! We must let the people of Earth know how - grateful - we are for the service they have performed. To think that such an unprepared and brutally divided people could have stopped the Ravages of Worlds. But knowing that they all carry a trace of imperial royal blood explains a few things to me. But that was just one fleet, we do not knew if they will return. Your report states that the one navigation database was destroyed during the battle. An entire invasion fleet composed of females with only one male to rule them. That is the most barbaric thing I have ever heard of! But still, I understand that the women made good warriors!" For a moment mother and daughter flexed their arms and sternly compared each others steel-hard biceps. When the moment had passed they began to laugh like school girls and left the still steamy bathroom in search of breakfast. ==========[ An Apartment Near Fifth Avenue - New York City - New York ]========== Two hours later Kevin and PRN6 were alone in an apartment overlooking a large park. Kevin stood by the window watching the cars travel by. New York had managed to escape the damage of war, but even mow there seemed to be an undercurrent of shock. He hand slapped against the sheath that still hung at his side. Slowly he pulled out the sword and looked at the softly glowing blade. "My princess, could you do me a favor and put this on the stand I saw by the front door. It should be in a place of honor I think." PRN6 hesitated, no mech had ever held a soul-sword before. But it was her captain's wish, so she would do this for him. She took the sword from him and walked out into the main room. Before she had reached the stand where the sword was to rest she began to feel - something - reaching out from the sword into her! Hadina was interested in this creature of metal. Her knight seemed to not only trust the robot, but he seemed to lust after her as well. Though it had been many thousand years since Hadina had owned a real body, she could still remember how lust felt. She reached out into the center of the robot, into her very core, and was surprised to discover that this mechanical being had feelings of her own. Perhaps it was time to move, to experiment. Hadina brought a portion of her being from the sword and opened direct communications with the silver robot. Her head jerked back as PRN6 felt the flow of information coming from the being that lived inside the sword. Her captain had said many times that he felt the sword was alive and know she knew the truth. Many centuries ago an actual princess had died and her spirit was transformed somehow into an energy being which lived within the crystal structure of the metal that formed the sword. And now this long-dead princess was asking if they could join so that they could serve the captain better. PRN6 agreed. In an instant her silver metal shell was covered in thousands of glowing blue lines. After a moment the transformation was complete. Kevin felt the light touch of supple fingers moving down his back. He turned around to face the tall, athletic woman who had come up behind him. Her eyes were pale blue and her skin was lightly tanned with faint blue veins. She stepped closer and he felt the warm fullness of her ample breasts. Her face was framed with long blond hair and her smile was perfect and friendly. Kevin reached out and felt the rock hardness of her muscles under soft skin, flexing as she moved like satin over steel. He looked up into her eyes and asked, "Do I know you?" Princes Hadina answered, "You will, my captain. You will." <><><><><> TO BE CONTINUED <><><><><> ==========[ Silver Dreams Reference Section ]========== BattleNet - The combined intelligence of all local Empire warships.
