Who's the Boss? by ajbrown Todd vs. his smaller female assistant send comments to ajbrown2005@yahoo.com Todd locked up the office after Val walked out. Todd was a 33 year old successful independent financial advisor. He didn't have a large company, he basically worked by himself. The only one who worked in the office besides Todd was his 23 year old assistant Val. He did all the sales and financial advising and she did everything else. After Todd locked the door he began to walk towards his car and Val began to walk to hers. "All right, good night Valerie" he said. "Did you just call me Valerie?" Val asked sounding annoyed. "Ummm, yeah" the big time, smooth- talking, financial advisor said, sounding a little frightened. "You don't like that?" Hearing even the least bit of hesitation in Todd's voice was rare to say the least. "No I don't. You're cruisin' for a bruisin', Todd" Val said not sounding like she was joking in the least bit. "OK, I'm sorry" her boss replied "I don't feel like ending up in a hospital bed tonight." Val walked towards her car. Todd was thankful that no one else was around to see the conversation they just had. Todd had hired Val as his assistant about 9 months ago. She was by no means his first one. The successful businessman had gone through at least a dozen before her. None of the previous ones ever lasted more than a couple of months. He didn't want to hire a male for the role because in his view all men were capable of much more than just being an assistant to someone else. The problem with all of the women he hired was they were always to mentally fragile to handle the time of work atmosphere that Todd ran. Todd earned well over $250,000 dollars a year. He didn't achieve this at his age by slacking. He believed in always going above and beyond, giving 200% whenever he was at work and often working many hours of overtime. He always expected this out of his assistants as well. However, all of the previous women Todd had hired could not mentally keep up with his intense, fast-paced, work ethic. They would always call in sick, not get the things done that he wanted, and most of them would often break down in tears when he tried to push them to their limits. The first thing Todd remembered about Val was how good she looked. She came in for an interview only a couple days after she had graduated from college. She was 5'3 had, very curly black hair, pretty face, and a great figure. She was in great shape. Todd laughed one day when she told him that she weighed 140 lbs. There was no possible way this small girl, who was in good shape, weighed that much. She had very little fat on her and the only way she could have possibly weighed that much is if she was pure muscle underneath the clothes she was wearing. Val always wore long sleeves and pants so he could never tell for sure. However, he was confident that this recent college grad was pulling her boss' chain and he guessed that she probably weighed about 110. Todd also looked good, always dressed well standing at about 5'10 and weighing about 150 lbs. Women always complemented him on his handsome face, his good style, and his confidence. Todd always thought that if he wasn't married, he and Val would make a good couple despite their age difference. Once Val began working for Todd he could tell within the first week she was an employer's dream. Todd's office was in a suburban area and he had always grown up in the suburbs. Val was a city girl who went to college in the city and had never really lived in a suburban area before. It showed in her personality. She was very type-A, and very confident. She talked with a little bit of a macho-city accent which was the one thing that Todd did not find attractive about her. However, her type-A, city personality really benefited the job description Todd was looking for. She was always on top of every task he gave her and she was always receptive to constructive-criticism. Best of all she never cried. Whenever Todd did have to correct her she was very respectful of her boss and would correct the problem immediately. Her city-personality probably aided in that as well. The two of them also had a great rapport. When they weren't talking business the two could joke around and sometimes would have extended conversations on various topics. Overall, it was a great employer-employee relationship. One day, about 2-months into Val's employment, she stood up from her desk at the end of the day getting ready to leave. She was wearing a brown long- sleeved blouse, brown pants, and brown boots. She looked real good but when she stood up Todd noticed that she was starting to get a bit of chunk in her ass. This was probably due to spending a lot of time working for him and less time working out. She began to walk towards the door to leave. "Goodnight big-butt" he said jokingly. Because of the rapport the two had Todd knew he could say this without dealing with a sexual-harassment suit. Val quickly turned around looking angry. "What did you say?" she asked sounding annoyed. Todd was surprised. He had never seen his employee use that type of tone with him before. He decided to keep the joking around going. "Getting a little junk-in-the-trunk" he continued, chuckling "might want to hit the treadmill before bed tonight." Val began to look more annoyed which continued to surprise Todd. "Look I've noticed that too" she said "and it's a touchy subject for me so don't joke about it!' "OK" he said still laughing and joking "just don't sit on me with that thing." Val raised her fists "You better stop" she ordered "I don't care who you are, I don't want to be talked to like this." Todd was now shocked. He couldn't believe an employee of his was raising her fists to him and threatening him this way. However, he did instigate it so it wouldn't be fair to pull his employer power at this point. Plus, this was a small girl 10 years his junior. He figured he'd have some fun with it. "Damn you cities girls sure have a temper" he laughed "they didn't teach anger management in those inner-city schools?" Val got a furious look on her face and now was raising her voice sternly "First you insulted my ass, now you are insulting my roots. I'm sorry Todd, I don't care who you are I'm going to kick your ass right here." Todd was now laughing hard on the inside that this small girl wanted to fight him. "Why not?" he thought to himself "this will be fun". His beautiful skinny wife Michelle had gotten angry with him on several occasions and attacked him physically. Todd would always easily pin her to the ground no matter how hard she came at him. This would always turn his wife on when her businessman husband would overpower her and the two would end up making sweet love into the night. He didn't plan on cheating on his wife tonight but, hey, if his small assistant was turned-on and offering ... Todd laughed out loud after Val's threat. "Wow, you're pretty sexy when your pissed-off, big butt" he said "sure, come kick my ass, I want to see how a girl of your size plans on doing that." "Whatever Todd" she said "you might talk real tough when you are dealing with investors that come into the office but I would guess that you have never been in a real fight in your life." Val was right but that didn't make Todd think for a second that he'd have a problem with his young assistant. "All right, come get me" he challenged, still laughing. Val charged at him. Todd put his skinny arms out trying to slow her attack but she immediately put him in a bear hug and lifted him off of his feet. When Todd felt the strength of Val's arms and the solidness of her whole upper body against his he immediately believed her previous statement that she weighed 140 lbs. This girl was rock solid. He had never seen her in shorts or even a short sleeve shirt for that matter but now he was learning what was under all of those long clothes. The bear-hug kind of hurt and made Todd lose his breath a bit. Val continued her attack by throwing the light Todd to the ground. While he was still in the air Todd let out a girly light scream not liking the fact that he had just been tossed airborne by his young assistant. Todd's back hit the ground hard and tears began to fill in his eyes. Val was right, he was as tough as they come as a businessman but he could not take physical pain. He had not been in a fight since the 2nd grade when the much bigger girl, Heather Cole pummeled him in front of all of their classmates. Todd was never in a fight again after that humiliating experience. He guessed that Val had had her share. Todd lied on the ground. He imagined how silly he looked in his dress shirt, dress pants, dress shoes, and tie, lying on the ground hurt like this. Val taunted him. "C'mon rich-boy get on your feet, show me how tough you are." Her city accent began to come out more than it usually did. Todd didn't like that one bit. Todd couldn't show his pain. He quickly got to his feet. "Nice sneak attack bitch" he said "you're going to pay though." He charged at Val and she raised her arms. Val grabbed Todd by the ears and brought his face to her knee. Her hard knee hit him square in the eye and also hit part of the bridge of his nose. This made him begin to cry and he grabbed his face. Val stepped back. "Want to quit now?" she asked with the heavy city accent still present. Todd couldn't do that. "No way!" he cried "I'm gonna fuck you up!" Todd charged at Val. When he got close she was able to grab his waist and throw him into the wall. He tried to attack like this a couple more times with the same result. Todd's inability to gain any position frustrated him and made him cry even more. He raised his fists realizing a boxing match was the only chance he had to beat his small assistant. Val raised her fists as well. "You want to start punching now?" she laughed "come bring it at me." Todd took a swing right at Val's face, she moved back, and he missed. He swung at her face again and she ducked. The much shorter Val now swung her fist at her rich boss and punched him in the jaw. She then hit the other side of his face forcing more tears out of Todd's eyes. Those two punches were followed with over a dozen more to his eyes, nose, mouth, etc. The successful businessman couldn't do anything to stop the small young woman's attack. All he could was put his arms in front of his face and duck down. All this did was allow Val to punch him numerous times in the back and give him a hard kick in the ribs. Totally defeated, Todd put out a stiff-arm with his right arm trying to keep little-Val at a distance from him. Val used her rock-solid arms to grab his, bend it behind his back in a chicken-wing, and bring him to the ground on his stomach, still in the chicken-wing. She bent his scrawny arm way up his back. Despite all of the pain in his face this hurt real badly as well. He could tell Val was breaking his arm. "Stop it!" he bawled as blood poured from his nose and mouth, spit flew from his mouth, two of his teeth felt loose, and he could feel both of his eyes swelling up. "Please stop, I give up, you win, pleeease!" Val was still in a state of rage and she bent his arm all the way up his back. Both of them could feel it break. The 33-year old, handsome, successful, wealthy, businessman wearing dress clothes screamed and then just lied there and cried. He had been defeated by this small young girl who was 10 years younger than him, 7 inches shorter, lighter, and nowhere near as wealthy. Val stood up and looked down at what she had done. She was sure she would not be working for Todd anymore. That wasn't the issue now though, the issue was he needed medical attention because of what she had done to him. Val hadn't beat up anybody this badly since spoiled, wealthy, Monica Zimmerman stole her boyfriend in high school. Val had definitely never beaten up a male like this. She reached into Todd's pocket, grabbed his cell phone, dialed 911, and put it in his left hand. She then quickly got in her car and drove away. The next day Val walked into the hospital room where Todd was staying. She was originally nervous to make this visit but she had to. She was waiting at any point for police officers to arrest her. Val walked in the room and saw Todd lying on the bed. She looked at the damage she had done, felt real bad, but deep down inside was a little proud as well. He had 2 black eyes, a broken nose, a broken right arm, 2 missing teeth, and a bruised fat lip. She walked over and sat down next to him. "Do you hate me?" Val asked. Todd shook his head. "Are you going to press charges?" she asked. "No" Todd said "I told them I was mugged." Mainly because he didn't want anybody knowing what this small girl, fresh out of college had done to the big, powerful, businessman. The next question seemed obvious but Val asked anyway. "Am I fired?" Todd had thought about that. He began to speak, surprisingly clearly despite his two missing teeth. "Val I don't want to lose you" he said "you are by far the most efficient assistant I have ever had and I don't think there is anybody out there qualified enough to replace you. But how can we go on like this? I need to be in a position of power at the office, not for my own ego, but just in order to maintain the flow of the office. And I also need to be able to give orders without fear of this happening. I'd love to have you back but I don't think it will work now." "Todd" Val began "do whatever you feel is right but I want you to know that if I continue to work for you everything will be the same as before. I always knew I could kick your ass from day one. You talk a tough game but I could tell from your background and size that you couldn't hold your own in a real fight." Hearing her say this began to anger Todd but he let her continue. "If I continue to be your assistant I will still respect you, still honor you, and allow you to help me grow to the person I want to be. I really hope we can make that happen." Todd looked his ambitious assistant in the eyes. "I'm going to be out of work for a few days" he said "but you better be there bright and early tomorrow to make up for my absence." Val smiled and left the room. Val's threat outside the office after Todd called her by her first name was the first one he had received since their first battle. They were outside of the office and this conversation was not business related so Val was not going against her promise. Todd thought about their first confrontation and it sent fear through his entire body. Just hearing the words come from Val's mouth "you're cruisin' for a bruisin'" was enough to weaken him and make the suave financial advisor quiver like a scared little boy in his suit. Todd was glad no one else was nearby to see that. As Val walked away Todd looked to the left. There stood his beautiful wife Michelle. "Oh hi you startled me honey" Todd said "what are you doing here?" "I wanted to surprise you" she answered "I figured I'd show up and we'd go out for a romantic dinner." "Great" Todd said "Let's go". "We will in a second" Michelle said "but first answer me a question. I heard that entire conversation you just had with Val and I thought you two were joking around at first. But when she threatened you, you looked scared to death. Then you started talking about hospital beds. What was that all about?" As a salesman Todd was used to thinking on his feet and smooth talking to get out of a jam. Talking his way out of this one was going to be his biggest challenge in that department by far.
