Big Ethel by Archie Fan - betty_cooper72@yahoo.ca Ethel Muggs ends up living up to her nickname in a muscular way ************************************************* Principal Weatherbee was in his office. It was a seemingly normal school day and lunch hour had just ended. He expected to have a crowd of students walk past his office any moment as the student who had left the school property for lunch returned. Almost on cue he heard the noise of student. However they seemed a little more excited and louder than usual and when he got up he realized that students were rushing outside. "What's going on?" Principal Weatherbee demanded from his office door. Dilton Doiley, perhaps the most studious student in the entire school was amongst the crowd but he stopped to answer the principal's question. "It's Ethel sir she's... uh... well come see," Dilton answered before joining the hoard of students who were heading outside. Weatherbee followed the throng of students outside curious as to what was going on. The girl that Dilton had referred to was Ethel Muggs. He had received a call that morning that she was going to miss her morning classes because of doctor's appointment. That in and of itself was not particularly strange, people had to go see the doctor all the time and students' often had half days because of appointments. However Ethel was not the most popular girl at the school. She had friends amongst the girls but typically boys tried to avoid her as they didn't find her particularly attractive. She was 6'2" but barely 120 lbs. so she was rail thin and flat chested with a round face and an upturned nose. As Weatherbee stepped out the front door of the school he could see the students were gathering in the parking lot just off to the side; they surrounded it at least six rows deep already and more students were arriving. The students were all chattering excitedly but Weatherbee couldn't really make out what it was about. He decided to make his way through the crowd to see for himself. "Alright get out of the way," Weatherbee said as he forced his way through the crowd of students. "Just what is going...." He stopped short as he saw for himself just what they were all excited about. Ethel Muggs was standing in front of the car belong to Reggie Mantle who looked like he had been trying to find a parking spot. But that wasn't what had everyone so excited. Rather the skinny as a beanpole Ethel had suddenly grown several hundred pounds of muscle seemingly overnight. She was still 6'2" but her body now bulged with more muscles than a male bodybuilder. And it was all quite visible as she only wore a cut up white T-shirt that was stretched across her chest, which was all muscle and still no breasts, and no longer had any sleeves and didn't cover her midriff at all, and a pair of denim cut-off shorts that were stretched so much by her now enormous glutes that they looked as if they were about to turn into a denim thong. She had one hand pressed against the hood of Reggie's car and even unflexed her enormous bicep looked to be at least 26" around. "I know you used to think it was funny calling me Big Ethel before Reggie," Ethel said. "But is it funny now?" She flexed her other arm and the huge mound grew to more than 30" around, swelling with untold power. Reggie just sat in the driver seat of his car not sure what to do. Principal Weatherbee decided he needed to intervene. "Ethel what is going on here?" he asked as he stepped out of the crowd. "Why Principal Weatherbee, I'm just teaching Reggie here a lesson; that teasing and tormenting somebody eventually comes back to bite them," Ethel responded. "I'm sure that we can work this out if you would both come to my office..." he started to say. "No this is well past any mediation," Ethel said. "Now I suggest you stand back or you may get hurt." Ethel then reached down under the front bumper and grabbed a hold of the front of the chassis of the car with both hand. Ethel then began lifting the front end of the car up into the air. Reggie panicked and quickly climbed out of his car and scampered towards the crowd which caused Ethel to smile. As everyone watched in amazement she adjusted her grip and then began lifting the entire car up into the air. Her huge thighs and glutes bulged as she squatted down and her biceps swelled as she slowly but steadily powered the car up into the air. In moments she had the one and a half ton vehicle held vertical in the air above her head with both arms. Once more she adjusted her grip and then she was holding the entire vehicle vertically over her head with just one arm. Ethel flexed her free arm as she turned in a circle drawing applause from the amazed crowd. She then walked over to Reggie who sitting on the ground in front of the crowd watching in amazement and horror. "Please don't hurt me," Reggie begged. "Oh I'm not going to hurt you Reggie," Ethel said. "But your car..." Ethel then grabbed the car with both hands once again and proceeded to fold the car in on itself. The metal screeched in protest but she folded it as if it were cardboard. Time and again she fold the car until she had made it into a compact ball more crushed and dense than even a hydraulic car crusher could manage. She dropped the mangled mass of metal to the ground next to Reggie. "Consider that a warning," Ethel said. The crowd of student for the most part was standing around in silent awe not sure what to do or say. However Jughead Jones who found anytime Reggie got humiliated amusing burst out laugh. "Oh man that was great," Jughead laughed. Ethel turned to face Jughead and he suddenly went quiet and afraid. Before he could do anything she stalked over to him and picked him up and flung him over her should like a sack of potatoes. "I'm going to take the rest of the day off as well Principal Weatherbee," she said. "Is that a problem?" Principal Weatherbee shook his head no. After what he had just seen he wasn't about to deny Ethel anything. "Good," Ethel said. She then looked over at Archie Andrews who was standing between Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge. She walked over and put him over her other shoulder. "You're coming with me as well," she said. With that Ethel turned and walked away with Jughead and Archie on her shoulders. "What do you think she's going to do with them?" Betty asked Veronica. "Who cares she just stole our boyfriend," Veronica replied. "Yeah... I think I'll just find another one," Betty said. "I don't want to be on Ethel's bad side." Veronica just fumed as she watched Ethel disappear down the street. Principal Weatherbee began ushering the students back into the school as afternoon classes had already started. Veronica wondered just how Ethel had come to be so strong. Whatever the reason for Ethel's mysterious growth, Veronica vowed to find out and to take Archie back.
