A Marvellousy Riverdale Halloween Archie Fan - betty_cooper72@yahoo.ca A Marvel-Riverdale crossover with the cast of Riverdale's Supergirl set in a world where none of them have powers This was a illustrated Halloween special from my deviantart page Checkout the illustrated version: https://www.deviantart.com/archie-fan/art/A-Marvellously-Riverdale-Halloween-6 43267638 ****************************************************************************** ****** Betty, Cheryl and Sheila had gone to a costume store to find costumes to wear to Dilton's Halloween party. Normally they would have gone to Pansky's costume shop it had been around for years it was where their own parents had gone to get costumes. However Dilton was hosting and he had a science- fiction type theme to his party and Pansky's tended to have more traditional costumes like zombies, mummies and vampires. Instead they had gone to a pop-up costume shop that was using an old house on the edge of town. "Man this looks more like a haunted house than a costume shop," Cheryl commented as she and the others walked up the walkway to the front door. "Tell me about it," Sheila agreed. "Well maybe it's both?" Betty suggested. "Do you think this place will have costumes that will work?" Cheryl asked. "I mean I would hate to be off theme." "I hope so," Sheila said. "I mean I'm good with a needle and thread but the party is tomorrow and that's not really enough time to make anything." "Well it's partly our fault for leaving this to the last minute," Betty said. They got to the front door and opened it. In the front hallway were racks of costumes on hangers. As the three of them peered into the adjoining rooms they saw that they too were filled with racks of costumes. "Wow, there are a lot of costumes just here," Cheryl commented. Just the a tall thin woman with very pale skin and long black hair wearing a form fitting purple dress that hugged her legs tightly and went right to the floor seemed appeared. None of the girls had noticed where she had come from. "Hello ladies," she greeted them. "I'm Hallie, the purveyor of this little pop-up shop." "Well it doesn't seem very little," Sheila commented. "True, I do have an excellent selection," Hallie agreed. "So what is it you ladies are looking for?" "Well a friend of ours is hosting a science-fiction themed party," Betty replied. "So we were hoping perhaps you had some comic book characters or something we could go as." "Of course, of course," Hallie said. "Any characters in particular?" "I have no idea," Cheryl answered. "I don't know anything about that stuff." "I know Dilton and Jughead both like Marvellous Comics," Sheila said. "I think it's just Marvel Comics," Betty corrected her. "Whatever," Sheila said with a shrug. "Marvel Comics, yes I have quite a lot of those costumes," Hallie said. "Follow me girls." She led the way upstairs and down the hallway to where there were doors to two bedrooms. "Now I'm assuming you ladies would prefer female characters over males?" Hallie asked. "Yes, of course," Cheryl replied. "Okay, then step inside," Hallie said as she entered one of the rooms. There were two long racks of costumes in the bedroom and a set of shelves filled with wigs, hats and masks. "Now do you girls care if you're heroes or villains?" Hallie inquired. "Doesn't matter as long as we look good," Sheila replied. Cheryl nodded in agreement and Betty just shrugged. "Well I have just the one for you dear," Hallie said as she pointed at Cheryl. She made her way down the rack of costumes, flicking through them until she found the one she wanted. "Ah this is the one for you," Hallie said as she held her find up. The costume consisted of a purple body suit with matching boots and a mask that had large eye holes and only covered the top of the face. "It's kind of revealing," Cheryl said. "If you've got it flaunt it, right?" Hallie responded. Cheryl nodded and took the costume. "So what character is this?" she asked. "It's a character named Titania," Hallie replied. "She's a villainess with super strength." Cheryl nodded and looked the costume over as Hallie went to searching again. "Now you," Hallie said as she glanced back at Sheila. "Those bangs of yours gave me an idea." She pulled off a costume that looked to be a black leather bodysuit that had been ripped in several places. "That looks damaged," Sheila commented looking at it. "That's what it's supposed to look like," Hallie said. "I'm sure you've heard of She-Hulk or at least the Hulk?" "I saw the Avengers," Sheila replied. "Well this costume is for the Red She-Hulk," Hallie said. "So it looks ripped because she's hulked out, or whatever term you'd like." "Oh, okay," Sheila said. "Wait, does that mean I have to wear red body paint?" "That's up to you," Hallie replied. "Depend on how authentic you want to look. She also has glowing yellow eyes and I have some contact lenses that can give you that look." "Oh, that sounds cool," Sheila said. Hallie began searching the rack once more. "Now you are going to be a tricky one to find a costume for," Hallie said. "Aren't there dozens of blonde female characters in the comics?" Betty asked confused. "Yeah but it's got to be something that goes with your friends here, right?" Hallie responded. "Yeah, I guess we are going sort of as a group," Betty agreed with a nod. "Exactly, otherwise I'd just throw an Invisible Woman costume at you and be done with it," Hallie said as she continued search. "Ah, here we go!" She held up a red and black costume. It only had one sleeve on the left arm but there was a sort of gauntlet for the right arm. There were also matching boots, but the right boot went up to mid-thigh while the left stopped just below the knee. "Hmm that looks... interesting," Betty said. "This is for a lesser known character called Stunner," Hallie said handing the costume to Betty. "She was a minor villain that appeared in the early 90's who was in love with Doctor Octopus." "You seem to know a lot about comics," Cheryl noted. "I think of it as, knowing about the merchandise I carry," Hallie stated. "So shall we go down stairs to completely your purchases?" The four of them went downstairs and to the kitchen of the house which Hallie was using as the checkout. They paid for their costumes and Sheila bought red body paint and the contact lenses that Hallie had mentioned. Hallie then walked with them to the door. "I hope you girls have a fun magical night with those costumes girls," Hallie said with a smile as she waved good-bye. ****************************************************************************** ****** It was Halloween and Cheryl and Betty were at Sheila's house getting ready for Dilton's party in Sheila's room. "I don't know, this costume feels really revealing," Betty said as she looked at herself as she was partly dressed. She had on most of the costume except for the boots. "Well I think I look fantastic," Cheryl said as she admired herself in a mirror. The only part of her costume that she had yet to put on was her mask. "Do you think you guys could help me with this body paint?" Sheila called from the bathroom. "Just a second," Betty called. She and Cheryl went to the bathroom where Sheila had painted half her body red. They each grabbed a sponge and assisted in painting Sheila. Once she was almost completely red Sheila then began getting into her costume. "You know this looks pretty sexy," Sheila said as she looked at the mirror. "But I'm pretty sure that if I'm a Hulk I should be like muscular or something." "Yeah I looked up my character too," Cheryl said. "She's supposed to be muscular as well. Although I still look fantastic regardless." "Yeah, so is mine," Betty said. "Do you think that Hallie was setting us up to be laughed at?" Sheila asked. "No, I'm pretty sure she was setting us up to give all the comic nerds as this party major boners," Cheryl replied. "Cheryl!" Betty exclaimed. "What, it's true," Cheryl said. "Dilton and all the others are totally going to be turned on at the sight of us dressed up as some of their comic fantasies." "Well let's finish getting dressed and get to the party," Sheila said. "Now where did I put those contacts?" "I'm pretty sure you left them in your room," Betty replied. The three of them made their way back to Sheila's room. Betty went about putting on her boots and Cheryl put on her mask while Sheila found the contacts and put them in. "Alright girls," Cheryl said. "Let's go." They headed for the door when suddenly all three of them stopped. "Whoa... I feel, strange," Sheila said. "Me too," Betty admitted. "So do..." Cheryl started to say. She was cut off as all three of them suddenly screamed as there was a bright flash of light. ****************************************************************************** ****** At Dilton's house the party had been underway for about an hour already. Not too many guests had arrived yet though and all of them had been boys. Dilton was starting to get a little worried. Dilton was dressed up as Albert Einstein, who he felt crossed the lines of both reality and science-fiction with how often he was used in science-fiction stories. He went over to his friend Jughead Jones who was snacking away at the food. Jughead was dressed up as his own fictional super hero identity Captain Hero, with blue and yellow tights and a yellow cape with a logo that was a burger inside of a yellow heart. "Jughead, do you know where Betty and the others are?" Dilton asked worriedly. "No," Jughead replied not looking up from the table. "Well do you know if they're coming?" Dilton asked anxiously. "I'm pretty sure they're coming," Jughead replied. "They were going to some pop-up costume shop to get costumes for your theme since Pansky's didn't have anything." "Oh," Dilton said partly relieved. "Well do you know why they're not here yet then?" "They're girls," Jughead answered getting a little annoyed with all Dilton's questions. "Girls always take forever to get ready. Besides your party is going until midnight and it's only seven thirty; there's still plenty of time. Although you might be out of food, before they get here." Just then the doorbell rang. "You know what, I bet that's them now," Jughead said. Dilton and Jughead went to answer the door and they were absolutely shocked by the three people that entered. Betty, Cheryl and Sheila entered the house still wearing their costumes, except now all three of them had transformed into seven foot tall muscular amazons. Somehow in doing so their costumes had also grown with them. "Hello boys!" Cheryl said as she and the others all flexed their new physiques for the stunned male guests of the party. Dilton and Jughead said nothing and just stared at the three massive muscular girls with their mouths agape. "So, what do you think of our costumes?" Betty asked as she brushed her hair back over her shoulders with one muscular arm. "How, how is this possible?" Dilton asked. "Who knows and who cares," Sheila replied. "So, who wants to see how strong we are?" Cheryl asked. The three girls then walked right through the wall to head outside, their powerful bodies smashing through the dry wall and then the brick almost effortlessly. "My house!" Dilton exclaimed. While Dilton was looking at the damage to his family's house, Jughead and the other party guests all made their way outside to see what the girls were up to. Betty had walked up to a large oak tree on the front lawn. She took a few seconds to stretch and then glanced back at the guests and winked. She then wrapped both her massive arms around the tree and squeezed tight. The wood cracked and splinted a little. Betty then bent her knees and with a grunt she uprooted the tree to the awe of the boys watching. "Pretty impressive right boys?" Betty asked as she held the tree with just one arm over her shoulder. "How about this," Sheila called out. Everyone's attention turned to Sheila who was standing next to a light pole. With a smirk Sheila grabbed the light pole with her hands and as her muscles bulged she ripped it out of the ground holding it over her head. However she wasn't done yet; next Sheila began to twist and bend the metal light pole. The metal screeched in protest as she twisted it into a pretzel shape with the same ease as tying one's shoe. There were still trick-or-treaters out on the street and they began screaming and running away at the sight of these three girls causing destruction. Betty, Cheryl and Sheila were oblivious though and seemed to be completely caught up testing their new strength. "Watch this girls," Cheryl called out. As, Betty, Sheila and the others watched Cheryl walked over to the mini-van in the neighbouring driveway. With little effort she bent down and lifted the van over her head. However Cheryl then proceeded to squeeze the vehicle together folding it in on itself the sound of screeching metal filled the night. "That's my neighbours' van!" Dilton exclaimed mortified. The girls weren't paying any attention to Dilton though as Betty and Sheila cheered Cheryl on. Cheryl continued to compress the van more and more until it was a metal ball about three and a half feet in diameter. "Impressive," Sheila commented. "That gives me an idea," Betty said. Betty was still holding the tree and the flipped it upside down and began breaking of the branches till it was mostly just trunk. Betty then held it upside down with two hands like a baseball bat. "That's an excellent idea," Cheryl said. "Sheila get ready to catch it when I blow by Betty." The three of them went out into the street and Sheila squatted behind Betty like a catcher. Cheryl wound up and hurled the ball towards Betty and Betty swung the tree connecting with it with a smacking noise that sounded like thunder. The crumpled remains of the van went flying into the air sailing hundreds and then thousands of feet till it disappeared from view. "I think that's a home run!" Betty exclaimed. "My turn," Sheila said as she sprang up and snatched the tree away from Betty. Betty was shocked for a moment but didn't put up a fight. Meanwhile Cheryl grabbed another parked car, this one a Honda Civic, from on the street and began crumpling it into a ball. Betty squatted down behind Sheila as Cheryl threw the car once again. Sheila hit the car and it went sailing possibly even further than the van that Betty had hit. "Ha! Further than yours!" Sheila shouted. "That's because that car was lighter," Betty protested. "Whatever you two, it's my turn," Cheryl said as she grabbed the tree away from Sheila. "I'm pitching," Sheila said as she ran over and picked up a Dodge Ram pickup. "No I am," Betty said as she began crushing a Toyota Forerunner SUV. Just then there was the sound of sirens approaching. The three girls turned to see a pair of police cars arrive. The four police officers got out and immediately pointed their weapons at the girls. "Put down the... tree," one of them said to Cheryl. "And drop the cars," another one said. "Well you heard him," Cheryl said to the others. She tossed the tree with one hand. The police officers all ran out of the way as the tree came down crushing their squad cars. Cheryl, Betty and Sheila all laughed with delight. In response the four officers drew their weapons and opened fire on the three girls. However the bullets simply bounced off of their bodies leaving them unharmed. "Oh this is cool," Sheila commented. "Yeah," Betty agreed. "How about we go do something else?" The three girls all leapt up into the air leaving everybody watching stuns as they leapt clear out of sight. ****************************************************************************** ****** Betty, Cheryl and Sheila woke up in Sheila's bedroom. A quick glance at the alarm clock on Sheila's nightstand showed that it was eight in the morning. The three of them were still in their costumes, Sheila's body paint was half-worn off and the sheets on her bed were smeared with paint stains. All three girls had dishevelled hair. "What happened last night?" Betty asked. "I don't know," Cheryl replied. "Did we even make it to Dilton's party?" Sheila inquired. None of them however could recall what had happened the night before. They made their way downstairs to the kitchen to get breakfast. On the way they passed by the living room where Sheila's father was watching the morning news. "Authorities are struggling to explain the events that happened last night in Riverdale," the newscaster said. The screen cut to a shot of their school, Riverdale High. A school bus was sitting on the roof of the school. "How did that get there?" Betty wondered aloud. It then cut to a shot of a large boat sitting on the road that ran parallel to Riverdale's beach. "What the heck?" Cheryl exclaimed. "Authorities are looking for these three women," the newscaster said. The screen cut to a blurry shot, but Betty, Cheryl and Sheila quickly recognized the three figures in it. It was themselves; except they looked to be much taller and more muscular. "I guess we did have a wild time last night," Sheila said. The End?
