A Little Hungry 4 By GhenKai, Kaiokibuto@hotmail.com Aftermath, with the moon on the rise. "...Red lights take forever..." Commented a blond white male dressed in a gray suit, who sat at the steering wheel of a van he was driving. His partner, a cute brunette female of same decent and dressed in a knee high skirt, sat on the otherside of him, staring forward through the windshield. She nodded idly at his statement, while checking her rolex watch, seeing the time was now 5 minutes past 1 o'clock pm. Most anybody who watched TV would recognize who they were in an instant; Margaret Moore, and Shawn Hardy, for Channel 17 news. "Sometimes I think these things are broken... how long have we sitting here?" "5 minutes I think," A person answered with a chuckle from in the back of the van. Two of the camera and system operators sat in seats behind them, dressed in rather normal clothing, since they were never seen on camera because they operated them. "Go ahead and run the light! This is important! People MUST know about the opening of the new mall! The teenagers MUST KNOW!" The man said dramatically, slapping the back of Shawn's chair for emphasis on his words. Shawn turned around and glared at him. "Your funny Richter. Very." "I try." Richter was a black male, about 6'0 in height and dressed in black pants and a matching black shirt with a picture of a kungfu fighter throwing a kick on it. Over it, he had a brown vest on that went rather well. He was the actually camera operator, while the other man, a young man by the name of Chad Briggs, worked the controls inside the van. He was dressed in a rather simple white shirt/blue jeans combo and wore a red cap backwards on his head. He sat silently as he listened to the conversation carry on. He chuckled under his breath as he listened on, and turned his head over to the side idly to look out the side window. "...H-hey... look over there?" He pointed through the window at curious scene. Three or so blueish-black painted trucks sat lined around a grocery supermarket. What caught his eye was the large letters; SWAT on the sides of two of them. The other two looked through their windows as well to see. "What's going on over there..." Margaret asked curiously. Shawn looked on as well, until he heard a honk of a horn from behind him. He saw that the light had finally changed, and began to press the accelerator... *Sh-----BOOOM* The sound of thunder rattled the window of every car rung in the ears of all in the area. Shades of white, blue and black flashed about, making the once cloudy blue sky to a more darker color, as if what ever was the cause of this all, had sucked the very light from the area. Luckily everyone in their cars slammed on their brakes in reflex, including Shawn at the wheel of the channel 17 news van. The bellowing roar of sparkling electricity and the strange loud howl of a wolf amidst it all outclassed the yells and shocked screams that came from inside the van. After a few moments longer, it was over. None inside the van will ever confess to how close they were to wetting their pants. And panties. The werewolf lay motionlessly on the ground. Blackened singe marks could be seen on her fur, as well as in her red mane of hair. Small sparks of dancing fire could be seen on the charred ground and on her body, slowly dying away in the winds. Members of the SWAT that held their place outside of the supermarket formed a circle around the large charred area in which their target lay. Shocked expressions still adorned each of their faces. "Is... it dead?" One asked. "O-our objective was to stun it... I thought that thing that was used was just supposed to knock it out..." "It... looks like it did more than that... it... looks dead....." As they slowly made a step forward towards it to make clear of their accusations, they stopped in their tracks at the signs of possible movement. Watching intensely, they noticed after a few moments, that she looked smaller.... it did look as if she was shrinking... A female wearing a white long medical coat sprang from out of the back of the large, dark colored ambulance vehicle and sprinted over, just in time to witness the lycanthrope’s return to her more human form. As seconds passed, the bulk that adorned the body of the female wolf hybrid began to relax and regress. Her singed, bushy mane of hair receded and the silky but not burned fur on her body retracted into her shrinking body. Her red, claw length fingernails slid back in from their 3 inch stature, to a more manicured length. The sizzled tail that rested on the ground retracted as well, seeming to contract and disappear back into her spine. Looking past that, her widened, hourglass figure shrunk, soon reaching normal human proportions. Her long wolf ears shrank, and her bust size took a significant decrease, as they were once large and so firm enough that they supported the mass of her upper body with near no give, in the end were squished softly underneath her now smaller, supple and darkly tanned body. At the end of around 50 seconds, they were left with what looked to be a young, curly neon red-haired, regular woman. And she still lay where she was, motionlessly. ".... Just like in the movies..." One of them mumbled, remembering all the horror werewolf movies he'd seen; at the end when they died, they reverted, leaving a naked human body. Silently, the female approached the lifeless target the others watching on carefully, cocking and aiming their tranq guns at their target just in case. Standing before unconscious female, she bent down slowly... and laid a calm hand atop her head. Afterwards of seeing no reaction, she moved her hand down to her neck, and placed two fingers just behind her jaw and neck, feeling for a pulse. They watched on pins and needles... before she turned her head to the group. ".... She's alive." Hearing that, they slowly began to crowd around the body, as the leader of the SWAT made his way out, limping and holding his side as he stepped through the destroyed door area. Others of his coupe that could walk followed behind him, but didn't look to be in much better shape than their leader. "What in the HELL was THAT?!" Were the first words out of his mouth. "S-sir, we used the stun device like you ordered us to if she somehow got past your defenses. W-we didn't know that it w-would--" "None of us did..." The commander interrupted, "...What's her condition?" "She is still alive," The medic answered, "but her heartrate is very slow... like she's close to death, but..." "I'm not surprised," The leader responded... "Let's wrap things up quickly before news reporters and such swarm here. One of you helps the medic get the girl into the van. Meanwhile, I want you all to find the downed members of our squad in the store, and stay with them if they're not conscious." He then looked towards the female, "Might you be so kind as to round up the other paramedics to check the injured?" She gave an affirmative nod, and they all headed off to do their duties while the lady medic and one healthy SWAT member stayed behind to take the girl to the truck that awaited her. Stooping down he rolled her body over, before hoisting her up with a small surprised grunt. "Woah...she's heavier than she looks...!" He mouthed surprised as he carried her to the large armored ambulance truck. The commander sighed to himself as he heard the approaching sound of a running engine, and bit his lip. A rather large van marked 'Ch17' made it's way over towards the store, stopping in nowhere particular in the parking lot, which was already littered with the trucks of the SWAT. Three people hopped out of the van, one carrying a camera, all heading towards him. "Time to play 'Q and A'." "It's been quiet for a while now...I think it's clear now," John said as he more peeked through door-sized hole in the wall. "I wonder which side won," Bryan asked quizzically... "Which would you put your money on?" "Well... frankly, I just don't know," John responded... "Is it...safe to go out now...?" The timid female asked. The two employees finally regained consciousness a handful of minutes ago, and were sitting in their respective chairs that the two undercover cops sat them in. Both, a young male and a young female, had a bruise on their faces from where the changeling girl knocked them out. "Not sure, but I'll go check" John informed them as he made his way for the exit, that is, the real exit to the backroom, not the newly installed one. Upon looking out the door, he could more or less see the ravaged remains of the store before him... it was mess. And that was an understatement. There was opened food lying everywhere. Spilled contents of milk made large white puddles on the floor, and fruits and vegetables were littered about along with packaged meats. If you looked hard enough, you could spot a tranquilizer dart here and there embedded on a wall on in the floor, that obviously missed their targets. Exploded bottles of soda littered the floor with their fizzy goodness, and looking down a row, he saw one isle had been pushed over, and he could faintly hear muffled, gruff voices coming from that direction. But it could also be coming from any other direction, because looking around, every blue dressed SWAT member was sprawled out on the floor, outcold, or possibly worst. "So how is it out-- ...damn." Bryan had just joined his comrade. The stone made exit the girl made earlier wasn't enough to get a good view of the supermarket, and it would be too dangerous to get too close to it, because of the opened wires. But poking his head out of the backroom door, he could now fully see the damage that had been done. They heard the clusters of feet before they saw the other well off and walking members of the SWAT team walk over to one of their downed comrades and check for vitals. They must've been ok, if the relieved look on each of the SWAT member's face was any indication. "...It'll be a long awhile before those people, and this store is back on it's feet..." That seemed to be the cue for the employees in the back to emerge along with them... "I-is it ok too...." Both paused, and stared on a good, long moment at the decimated supermarket, which right now looked like it was the home of the biggest food fight in history gone wrong, gawking... and then shrugged. "I guess we all have the rest of the day off now!" The two cops eyed the two teenagers with a disbelieving glare, surprised and in awe they were thinking so lightly of this situation. "...I want to be 18 again..." Bryan mumbled under his breath. Johnathan sighed, and signaled for the group to follow. "Come on everyone, looks like the fireworks are over." 'Argh... damnit, will they just GO AWAY...' The commander of the SWAT was near the end of his rope. His head was ringing and his side ached in pain from the blow he took earlier when he was sent flying back into the store from the earlier shockwave. Cuts from pieces of glass adorned his legs as they had slashed right through the pants he wore. But the true pain came from listening to the two reporters before him, nagging on and playing '20 Questions'. And atleast 19 of those questions he couldn't give a truthful answer to, due to orders. And to boot, he had a particular phobia of cameras. "So that shockwave before was a bad wire?" Margaret asked questionably. She wasn't buying it... "Yes. An underground wire to the generator of the store snapped and exploded. We're not sure of the details." "And so your coupe finally captured this criminal? And alive to boot. Nice work there on your behalf." Shawn commented. The commander nodded slowly, keeping his face focused on the two news reporters before him, and away from the youngster behind them with the camcorder branded with the '17' signia. "Yes, we were able to. He soon gave up his fight and surrendered when he found he was outnumbered," He lied. "Do you know what his reason was for coming here?" Margaret asked a moment afterwards, holding out her mike for his response. "We're not sure, though it is possible it could be for revenge against the manager? Or maybe he was looking for something, we don't know." "Sir, the medics say her vitals are stabilizing, but ever so slowly," the recruit said as he made his way back over to the commander. "...'She'?" Margaret questioned under her breath... "But still outcold?" "Yessir." "Good. Once everyone's been checked and collected, we can head off too." "Yessir.... huh?" The commander turned around to look at what caught his recruit's attention, and saw the two civilian dressed cops of earlier emerge through the destroyed frontdoor, followed behind by two of the younger employees who work there. "The employees..." Quickly, Margaret flocked to the 4 new prey, her mike in hand. Shawn meanwhile continued to interview the two SWAT recruits before him. The interview continued on as their fellow recruits and standby medics helped small groups of SWAT out of the store. The employees soon left for home after Margaret released them from their reporter barricade, but finding out nothing more, as the two were KO’ed during the whole ordeal, and never saw it coming. When it came the two undercover policemen's turn, the leader of the SWAT was quick to pull them away, telling the reporters they were barred from answering any questions. This made the reporters very suspicious, but they could do nothing. Leaving with the SWAT, the two policemen rode in the ambulance-designed truck that held the stunned female, as advised by commander. Both couldn't help but stare on with questionable concern, at the young woman's prone form as she laid on the stretcher silently, wires with pads adorning her body, and the medic beside her, monitoring her vitals. Soon, they came upon what looked to be their destination. Both noted they were now deep into the city area. Not a jam packed and bustling place; one could have their own space here without any worries. They came to a rather large building of concrete and steel that stood 7 stories high. Both of the policemen watched as the truck made a turn, rolling down into an underground parking lot. "... Where are we?" Bryan asked. The female medic looked over at him. She was rather young looking, blue eyed lass, with a soft-spoken voice that yet, commanded your equal respect. She wore a long white labjacket that was buttoned up some above her bust, down to her thigh area. She wore a navy blue button up blouse underneath, and the draped opening at the bottom part of her coat gave hint to the matching navy blue long skirt underneath. On her feet, she wore low heel black shoes, and her eyes had a matching deep blue color to them, but upon closer inspection, a strange inner loop of violet could be seen. But despite her one-of-a-kind eyes, the most eye-catching part of her was the mid waist length, blue hair that rest atop her head, that hung silky and limply, though a few locks seemed to be stubborn, standing up on their own, and accentuating for an even greater design. "We're not at our destination yet. This is simply the exchange area. We'll be moving again in a few moments." "Wait...'exchange area'?" Johnathan asked suspiciously. "We going to some secret area or something that we may never return from?" "Maybe we're going to Area 51," Bryan half joked, though he had a possible suspicion that maybe that really WAS where they were going.... The medic chuckled and shook her head. "No, of course not. Please calm down and relax, and we'll be there soon." "Be WHERE?! This is getting tougher to digest by the moment," John responded, with obvious agitation. "Please calm down. All will be revealed to you soon." John thought about this for long moments... confusion and a host of other expressions ran across his creased brow. Finally, he came to a decision... "Tell us now what's going on here, or we're leaving." He stated firmly. The female medic sighed, looking over at the monitor a moment, checking her abnormal patient's status. The female lay where she was, breathing abit shallow, but restful and at a relaxed pace. Her body made a traceable outline under the sheets that covered and concealed her naked body. The medic looked back towards the two policemen... "We are going to a place where she can be tended to and protect her from the outside world. As well as protect the outside world from her." "Like an endangered species...?" Bryan mouthed out aloud. "I guess, that could be said..." The medic responded as she turned her soft 'n firm gaze upon him, "This is one of those findings of a lifetime. If she continued they way she was, it is near enviable she will end up hunted, and killed." Bryan nodded, John awkwardly agreeing. "...So, we ARE going to Area 51?" She chuckled knowingly. "It is rather secluded, but I wouldn't call it that. Are you willing to relax now?" The two policemen looked at eachother for a few seconds, before sitting back in their chairs and giving a relaxed nod to the female. And along the ride, the girl slept.... *Pa-thump....... Pa-thump........ * It'd been a long, but smooth ride, and conversation sparked on and off during the ride. After a long hour, the ride came to a halt, the medic told them they were finally at their destination. Stepping out the back of the truck, they whistled aloud at what they saw. There was a very large gate that looked to be made of marble, lined around the building, 10 yards high. Inside, beautiful trees littered the ground before them, their leaves showing a few different shades, as autumn was nearing. They were parked along the side of a rather large, dark, cobalt colored building, which looked to be atleast 10 stories high, and smoothly rounded off on the corners. "What a place... looks secret enough," Bryan commented. John couldn't help but agree with a nod. The medic began to exit the back of the truck joining them, gently pulling out the stretcher which the tan skinned young patient laid upon. After a quick talk with the medic, the drivers of the truck drove off, disappearing around the side of the building. "We're here gentlemen. Please, follow me," She informed, pushing the stretcher to a nearby double doorway into the building. There was a large black panel next to the door and a speaker built into the wall. Walking over to the speaker, she pressed a button on it, and stepped back. A moment afterwards, a male voice called out on the loudspeaker. "Identify." He said casually. "Miang Corbez, with the female and the 2 'visitors'." The medic answered as she placed her hand on the black panel for a few moments, before withdrawing. "Welcome back," The voice said as a latch could be heard clicking inside the door beside of them, before the double doors opened. The medic smiled and turned to her two companions as she walked over to the stretcher and began to push it inside. "Coming?" She asked them. Looking at eachother for a long moment, John and Bryan swallowed deeply, and decided to follow. *Pa-thump.......Pa-thump.......Pa-thump....* After a 5 minute travel through the building and taking atleast a couple of floors down on an elevator, the four found themselves at a rather large metallic door. Miang stepped forward, and pressed a simple button on the pad that was embedded into the door itself, and stepped back as a clicking sound emanated from within the door. With a last loud steely 'click', the entrance opened, the door before them sliding up into the ceiling it seemed. They caught glimpses of several more doors which all slid one way or another; into both of the walls right and left, and even down into the floor beneath them. Once the entrance was clear, Miang pushed the stretcher forward, signaling for the two guests to follow. A short but bleak corridor followed, and it wasn't long before John, Miang, and Bryan found themselves standing inside of a rather large, metallic room. Miang transferred her dark skinned patient over to a more comfortable, but curiously designed bed. It was not unlike a large metallic rectangle standing up from the floor with a rather comfy looking mattress resting atop of it. Miang then dressed her unclothed body in a light hospital gown, (John glared at Byran gave him a snide look after Miang asked him to help her get the female's arms into the sleeves), afterwards covering her with the sheets contentedly. She continued to busy herself about the room and with the unconscious young woman, while John and Bryan watched and waited. "So, what now?" John asked, as he watched the medic stick a needle into the unconscious woman's arm. There wasn't as much as even a twitch from the neon redhead; she was still very much out. "...Now, we wait until tonight..." She responded as she pulled the plunger on the needle, sucking lifeblood into the once empty compartment. Afterwards she placed a long coned, possibly metal nozzle, not unlike a pen top, over the needle, and slid it into the pocket of her labjacket. Bryan looked down at his watch, which now read 7 minutes passed 3 o'clock in the evening. "Wait until she changes, you mean?" Bryan asked. Miang nodded as she placed a few patches onto the female's body, which were hooked to machines that would keep check of her vital signs. There wasn't very much in the room. Besides plugs, and a few gadgets here and there built into the walls, the room was quite barren. The room had the qualities of a steel box prison, and a hospital room. "Ahh, I get it..." John commented, touching the metal walls, "This room is to hold her for tonight, right?" 'This room is surrounded with 7 feet of reinforced solid steel, on all sides. Each wall can withstand more than 80 tons of force; think of it as a type of bombshelter, or in this case, a containment unit." Bryan walked over to a wall idly, giving a light knock on the metallic walls, and was answered with almost silent raps, so was the thickness of the wall. "... You guys planned for this... it shows..." "Like a black streak on a white surface." John said under his breath, commenting at the obvious. He inched his way over to the bed where the sleeping woman laid, peering down at her restful face. He couldn't help but think back to how she continued to act around him. She came back to that very store, knocked out the employees, even his partner... to meet him? That just wasn't clicking...Neverless, he chuckled. A 'monster' had twice now-- He was shaken from his train of thought, as he heard a light, almost non- existent moan, and drew his eyes down to the female. With sudden surprise, he watched her, expecting her awakening. But for as long as he stared, she laid where she was like she'd been since being stunned 2 hours or so ago at the supermarket. His eyes however did catch a glimmer of focused movement, which turned out to be an infrequent twitch of her nose. 'She must be smelling me,' he surmised. Thinking his presence was disturbing her, he decided he should move. He didn't catch the glimmer of a smile that etched into her face, which slowly faded away as he stepped away from the bed, busing himself, watching the green line jump on the monitor which was keeping track of her heartbeat. "It's a long time before sundown though, it's only a few passed 3 now... and the moon will be up god knows when exactly..." A new voice answered Bryan's question, echoing lightly through the hollow room. "The moon will be up around 9:00 tonight." Both of the policemen turned locate the source of the voice, their eyes soon fell upon a small screen that was embedded into one of the steel walls. On the screen, was a man with long, shoulder length jet black hair and a pair of glasses that rest atop his forehead currently, instead of before his eyes. He had a light skin complexion, a calculated and calm expression, and wore similar garbs in relation to what the female Miang was wearing, except a purple shirt could be seen through the open top of the white coat. "Mr. Sten!" Miang almost sang, heading over to the comm. "I am almost done here-oh! I have the two officers who helped us locate her as well." "Good," The man replied, "How is she? What's her condition?" "The SWAT used one of our 'ShokClamps' to stun her. From what I saw however... I think the ShokClamp may have been overkill.... Parra doesn't look like she will waking up for awhile... maybe not until tonight." She gazed over towards the sleeping female, "The wounds she suffered were bad, but she will recover in time." "...'Parra'?" The two cops mumbled, looking back at the female's sleeping form questionably. The man on the screen gave a small nod when he finished absorbing her surmised report. "Did you place any immediate restraints on her?" "No sir." "That's good; it probably wouldn't be a good feeling to wake up and find yourself strapped to down to a bed. The room should be sufficient enough. You took the blood sample?" "Yes," She answered, showing him the red substance which was withdrawn from the strange female's body just moments ago. The man on the screen gave a nod. "Bring the two guests to the library. I'll be waiting there." After Miang gave a confirming 'Yes', the screen went dead. Giving one last checkup for her patient, Miang gestured to the two policemen, and they left the young woman to her slumber. *...Pa-thump.......Pa-thump....* It was a short journey to their next destination. After once more taking the elevator, John counted 4 floors they traveled up before exiting. They didn't have far to walk this time, Miang led them straight ahead to the wooden door infront of them. The library, unlike the steel room they were once in, looked to be made of wood and plaster. It was a large room, of course, and the design faintly reminded Bryan of the older, but elegant houses found in English movies. The floor was covered with a lush dark carpet, and the tall bookshelves were lined with tons of books, along with wooden chairs, tables and couches to be sat in. It didn't take long to find who they were looking for; Miang pointed the two to the man who was standing near a shelf, silently reading a rather large book. Formalities were taken, as Miang and introduced the guests to Mr. Reginald Sten. They noticed Sten wasn't wearing his coat like before on the comm screen; John and Bryan also noted his rather pretty boy look. His physique was rather sleek but developed, though it was tough to tell because of the loose button up blue shirt he still wore, and the long cream colored pants. He took off the glasses we wore while he was reading, and hooked them on his shirt collar and closed his book as he began to address the three. "A pleasure to meet you both." Sten greeted them, and the group made their way to a square table to talk. "Let's cut to chase, eh? I'll answer any questions you have to the best of my abili--" Bryan practically interrupted Sten; "Why does the girl keep jumping all ov--" A loud smack sound echoed through the library as John's hand clamped over his offending partner's mouth. Miang chuckled, and Mr. Sten stifled a snicker. "Let's start from a DIFFERENT point...what is Parra? A weird project gone awry from the government? An alien?" "She's a werewolf," Sten answered casually, noting the rather comic or movie-like references he made. John smacked his forehead in his palm. "Okay, I guess I should say, 'what's her origin'? Where did she come from?" It was visible Sten was thinking a brief moment, before he began his statement.... "She comes from right here, in Llexam. She's always lived in this city for atleast 4 years or so, within the forest near Paradise Foods. As I see you know, her name is Parra Niranm. She's 17 years old. Her family was killed when she was 14; possibly by her... whatever it was, wasn't human." John frowned, but his face was alight with understanding. "How do you know all this?" "Extensive research." Sten answered. "It was about 19 months year ago, when three people were found dead in a forest. Two parents; one male, one female, and and a young male teenager. It was evident that whatever killed them, wasn't human." Johnathan's eyes flashed with sudden realization... "...That family was..." "Her family..." Miang answered. Bryan cast his gaze upon the medic... "She killed her own family?" Sten glanced over at Bryan... "We're guessing it was probably during a full moon..." "I think I see now," John rubbed his chin in thought, "She's sort of like a dangerous criminal, but I doubt there's any jail in the world that could possibly hold her..." "Well, more like a mental patient," Sten suggested, "A danger to herself and others." "So she's been sent to prison then," John surmised. Mr. Sten scrunched up his face at the comparison, "Not so completely...I want to help her." John's eyebrow twitched, "Why?" Sten chuckled under his breath, and leaned forward in chair, resting his arms on the table. "There is MUCH we could learn from her, don't you think? Her very ability to transform her body from human to beast?! That's a true find if I've ever seen one; there hasn't been anything like this since the invention of the automobile!" "Oh, she's a science specimen then?" John accused. Sten narrowed his eyes curiously... "You sound rather miffed all the sudden..." John sighed, rubbing the back of his head with an accompany groan. "Sorry, alittle edgy I guess. I hadn't got much sleep today because of all that's happened..." "Understandable," Sten spoke, giving an acknowledging nod with his head, "Would you perhaps like a place to retire? We could talk later...I think your partner would agree... right, Mr. Richard?" Slumped forward in his chair, the now drowsy policeman sat bolt upright upon hearing his name addressed. "Y-yea, I agree!" He sputtered, not totally clear on the situation. Miang chortled before she caught herself. Sten grinned and sat back, relaxing himself. "Very well, Miang can show you to your rooms. Oh wait! Miang, did you bring the blood sample?" "Yes, right here Mr. Sten," Miang answered, reaching into her labjacket and handing him the blood filled syringe. Sten held the syringe up before his eyes, gazing into the red substance. "Thank you Miang. Now would you mind showing the guests to a room to rest? Afterwards, meet me in the main lab in 2 hours." "Yes," Miang answered with a nod, before heading for the exit, signaling for the two policemen to follow. Bryan eagerly followed, though his fatigue was showing in the slightly slumped way he walked after her, straightening up as time passed. John watched his partner stumble after the female, but something prickled in the back of his mind...he turned to the still sitting Sten... "So why are we here...?" Sten only shook his head with a slight smirk... "You can look forward to the answer to that, later." A stare, which lasted forever, it seemed, passed between the two... "...Ok, Fine...we'll talk later then..." John finally broke the gaze, and followed after Miang and his partner. As soon as the door shut, Sten fished out the sample of blood, giving a good look at it. "Like I figured, her blood looks no different to the naked eye... but we'll see once it's under a microscope..." He put the put syringe away once more, and picked up the book he was reading before they entered. It was a thick book entitled 'Legends and Myths Of The Millennium, Vol. 4'. There was a colored marker in the book, and using that, Mr. Sten opened back up to the page he was reading. On one of the open pages was a rather crude, old black and white sketch of a cluster of normal wolves, walking on two hind legs in a forest... "Nice...." Was the first word uttered from John's mouth upon entering the guestroom. It connected together by a conjoining set of others rooms; an adequate livingroom with the essentials, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a bedroom with two beds. "Everything you need is here, " Miang pointed out as they walked about eyeing the rooms, "There's some food in the kitchen, and the bedroom is the door at the other end of the room..." "Thanks, we'll be fine," John assured her. With that, Miang took her leave. "Let's get some sleep, ey Bryan? .... Bryan?" "In here!" Perplexed, John followed his partner's voice... "Yo! Instant Ramen!!" Johnathan jumped back reflexively as Bryan popped up before him in the doorway tossing up and down a cup of store-bought microwaveable ramen; just add water. "Thought I would eat a couple of these before turning in; you know, I didn't even have anything to eat when I got home last night. Guess I was still abit shaken up by what happened..." "Yea, same here. I hope there's more of those things..." Bryan snickered, and tossed his partner a ramen cup for him to prepare before they both headed back into the kitchen. After their light snack, they took a well-needed rest. *Pa-thump..........Pa-thump......* 5:03 p.m.... The sound of footsteps echoed in the hallways of secret headquarters. The blue haired female, Miang, idly glanced down at her watch as she made her way towards the steel door with red and yellow caution stripes laced about the edges. The name 'Research Lab' was emblazoned across the front. After entering, despite the enormity of the lab, it wasn't long before she found who she was looking for... "You’re late." "I guess I should be fired then?" Both chuckled at their exchange of jokes. "Did you find anything in her blood?" The female asked as she approached Mr. Sten. He was currently standing up, typing at a computer terminal while what looked to be red cells floated about on the screen. Sten grinned. "Take a look at this." Miang moved forward to get a clearer look of the screen, taking a good look at the DNA within the structure of her blood. She spotted something abit odd within the structure.... "That's, a rather oddly shaped structure for DNA..." "And probably the reason why she can transform herself," Sten surmised. "But, do you notice anything else...?" She gave a small nod, realization slowly creeping over her... "It's... sort of... like my blood...." Her gaze shifted to Mr. Sten... "So... it... could be true.... And I could..." She shook her head, disbelieving. "But in my life, I've never changed before, during any full moon..." Sten sat back in his chair, rubbing his chin in thought... "That's true... but it could be that that ability is lying dormant within you... and who knows?" As Miang listened, she reached up a hand to her rather voluptuous chest...feeling her heartbeat, a true understanding of what now flowed through her veins. Because of her non-existent bloodtype, transfusions and such were nigh impossible for her to have. But like a great equalizer, she was a fast healer. "You... you think I might be worst a monster, than...than 'her'?" Miang asked, almost silently... Sten chuckled and shook his head. "You shouldn't get so worried over nothing at all... just relax. Worry gets us nowhere. Besides, there's a reason for you not being affected like the girl..." Mr. Sten idly reached over to the book he'd brought with him into the lab, the book he was reading earlier... ".... You think that myth might be true after all?" She asked him... and grinned and opened the book, flipping through the pages. "All legends and myth usually contain 'some' truth..." *Pa-thump.....Pa-thump.....* 5 hours had passed so far... it was now 10 o’clock p.m. The moon had risen alittle an hour ago... but the female still laid where she was on the bed inside of the shiny metal room, and the most she'd done in the whole time since she was there, was groan and shuffle in the bed. This was good news for Mr. Sten as well as bad; he was hoping to have a chance to see the creature she becomes, first hand. Netherless, the night was young. Mr. Sten, and Miang, sat in a chair near a large screen, which the young, unconscious female Parra was shown on, with statistics of her well being lined along the side of the screen in a neon hue. She screen showed her body was slowly recovering, but at a much faster rate than any human ever could. Still, she had a long way to go until she would make a full recovery. Currently, Miang was now reading the book Mr. Sten was reading earlier. Her nose was deep into it, and her head moved slowly as it looked like she was reading every word. "...Interesting, isn't it?" Sten commented. "It is... it says that the were-clans that existed so long ago... gave up their true natures... as to hide from the world and live their lives..." She puts the book down and swiveled her chair around t look at him, "...Do you think that's true?" Sten shrugged. "Who knows... though, I can find a spark of truth within it..." Miang sighed, and rubbed her neck as she put down the book, marking her place with the bookmark. "I think I will go check on our guests, and get some coffee... would you like any?" He smiled at her "Thanks. Extra cream." Giving a nod, she headed out the door. '.... This is turning out abit less exciting than I expected,' Sten thought, as he picked up the book and looked at the marker where Miang left it. He just began skimming a paragraph. Then he heard it. *Pa-thump.....PA-Thump...* The strength of the beat that he heard on the screen was much stronger this one time. Turning to the screen, he scanned information on her vitals, and found her blood pressure had just risen dramatically. He listened to the beats on the screen, which grew in tone, beat after beat... *Pa-thump....Pa-Thump.......Pa-ThumP.....* Her blood pressure fluctuated rapidly, rising, then lowering... looking to the screen that showed her prone body, he could just barely pick up the slight twitching movements of her body. As time passed, they got more and more pronounced, before finally her eyes shot open, as she began to inhale deeply, her fangs glinting inside her open mouth. *Pa-ThumP, Pa-THuMP, PA-THUMP* 'Miang's going to kick herself for missing this,' Mr. Sten thought to himself as he watched anxiously. Pressing a few buttons, he turned off the sound that toned insync to her heartbeats, to allow himself to hear the erratic sounds that were beginning to fill the room. The twitching became worst by the moment, as she began rolling her head back and forth on the pillow it laid upon, and clenched her fingers into the mattress underneath her, sinking her now sharp nails into the fabric. The sounds of her breathing began to sound hoarse... no... Harsh... grating... guttural... The writhing and sounds continued rise, until they seem to reach an apex as she arched her back on the bed, pushing her chest upwards into the sheets which covered her and a scream came from her, with a light touch of the beast within her. Sten noted that her actions and movements, were much like she was losing control of her very body... like there was something inside of her, gnawing and tearing at to be let out; to be freed from it's confines... She relaxed enough for her back to settle once more on the bed, but her convulsions continued, strengthening... once more she threw her chest up into the sheets which covered them, and Sten made out a low, sharp ripping sound in the room. It was hard to tell the first time, something in the back of Sten's mind prickled... there was something different about her... it became clear though, the third time she growled out and heaved her chest into the sheets, that the outline of her body was more bulky. The sheets outlined two more bountiful mounds as well, mounds that continued to push skywards as her body began to widen and thicken. Looking at the side of the monitor for stats, he saw to his dismay, that her weight had, and still was increasing by the moment. If it wasn't for what he knew her to be, he would've thought 170 pounds woefully heavy for such a sleek short woman only a few inches over 5 feet. But the screen was now reading just over 300, and raising higher and faster by the moment. Where the mass she was accumulating was coming from, he had no idea... well, maybe a few.... The sounds of bones crackling, strengthening, growing and some even reforming, accompanied the sound of her hands ripping away from the sides of the mattress, within her clutch a large clump of the soft cotton and fabric. With a another guttural groan, Sten watched as her nose and mouth pushed out slowly, seeming to connect to eachother and make for small muzzle. As if they needed something else to destroy, those powerful hands then clenched to the bedsheets, and began ripping sheets into two as she snarled, revealing her growing body. Her features began to change as the process continued, her height was increasing as well he noted, along with her bulking mass. Silky brown fur began to fuzz up and spread out on her swelling body, and her red hair grew longer and further outwards from her head, spreading out; her very hairstyle was changing as well as lengthening. Where the hospital gown was once loose and hung below her knees, it was now taut against her voluminous muscles and breasts, and just barely covered her sex area. In a sudden movement, the transforming female rolled off of the bed and onto the floor on her hands and knees, the wires that were once attached to her snapped away. A bushy, furry tail uncurled and waved about in the air on it's on from underneath the back of the gown, stretching and extending with the rest of her body. Two of the buttons on the back of the garment she still wore were now gone, and her increasingly hulking, furry arms already filled the spacious sleeves of the gown, and beginning to tear. One by one, the buttons sprung away from the gown, revealing more of her striated and muscular furred back, which thickened more with every breath. With a inhuman growl, the fully formed wolfwoman stood up straight, and Sten noted she was much taller and bigger than before, much over 8 feet now. Sten thought she was at the end of her transformation, but went slackjawed as the already enormous creature began to expand, becoming gigantic, with no looks of stopping in sight. Her enlarging breasts were outlined against the gown, the plump, throbbing nipples trying to poke holes through the front. Gazing down at the gown, she gave a rather displeased snarl at the material. With a grunt, the mighty half-animal threw her chest out against it. All of the buttons on the back were already ejected, so the only things that kept it on her were the torn sleeves. Her constantly swelling chest exploded through the thin fabric, shredding down the front from collar to the bottom, leaving two long strips of cloth hanging on her broad shoulders. Her stomach was now visible, and what a stomach it was; with rapidly bulging, thickly formed ridges of silky furred abdominals lining up and down along it. As if losing herself in her surfacing primal instincts, the female beast roared and wailed as the growth accelerated. Inches in height were gained by seconds, and mass increased dramatically with each breath. Her body rose upward, and mushroomed outwards greatly. The rags that hung at her obscenely bulging furry arms finally gave way and tattered to the cold floor. Her mane of red hair grew thicker and wilder, covering most of her humongous, vascular back, but draped over her shoulders, and puffed up into the air sharply. Even her tail became even longer, bushier, but now with a spikier trait ot it as well. And as Sten began to think she would continue until she maybe even filled the room, it stopped. Everything about her now, was enormous and overgrown. Standing at what looked to be more than 4 yards high, the giantess, muscle engorged, wolf hybrid of a woman cast a looming shadow over the bed she once laid in. Despite the enormity of the female creature, there was a definite hour glass figure to her. A rather extreme hourglass figure. And even through her fur, the definition of her mammoth muscles was well visible on her body. Mountainous arms big enough to crush a grown man's torso if pressed between the bicep and forearm. Broad bulging shoulders, and large hands that had grown in relation to her body, tipped with close to foot long red claws. Silky brown furred thighs, that were probably the size of a old western wooden water barrels, possibly even bigger, gave form to a furry, smooth, round posterior that which were supported by giant calves on sufficiently enlarged feet, that were also topped off with claws, that bit into the metal floor below. And a titanic chest topped off with a dual pair of round, furry breasts the side of 35' TV screens, defying gravity and standing high atop her chest. "...A... Astonishing....!!" Sten mouthed aloud in disbelief as he stared on at the larger than life being on screen before him. He calculated 3 minutes or so had passed since the start of her transformation. A once petite small woman, just grew into a colossal, burly beast, right before his eyes. And he still could not comprehend it. But he would have the entire night to. And to celebrate the completion of her change, the huge lycanthrope howled to the ceiling, a howl that seemed to shake the very walls of the room. Sten cringed and covered his ears as the deafening cry echoed through the monitor's speakers. To Be Continued... Author’s Rants: Another chapter completed!
