Mixed Matches in the AAWF, part 1 by elliebi001@yahoo.com The AAWF is finally allowing mixed matches with some interesting results. Please let me know what you think. This half of the card contains the first two singles matches and the tag-team match. Good evening to the All-American Wrestling Federation pay-per-view extravaganza. This is the former Women's World Wrestling Champion, Shelly "Legs" Diamond. The AAWF is dedicated to bringing the best in talented wrestlers who are fast and rough, with only the best making the grade here. You won't see many fat slobs here who can't handle themselves in the ring. The AAWF prides itself on the best talent at lighter weights to promote more action and less heavyweight monsters bouncing around the ring. We want near equal agile yet strong wrestlers in the ring to bring you the best in wrestling. Tonight, we'll see the series of exhibition matches that will determine if women will be allowed to compete against men in the All-American Wrestling Federation. The women have petitioned the commissioners before to allow this, but they always voted it down. Finally, the women wrestlers voted to walkout, which would have hurt the gate at all the AAWF cards. The commissioners agreed to this exhibition of best of seven matches to determine whether intergender or mixed matches will occur. On top of all this, the women demanded to face wrestlers in the top ten, top five if possible, so that no one could say the women were given a break. Once again, before we start, we want to warn parents this program will have rough language, adult situations and might not be suitable to children under 18. Thank you. We'll have matches in several weight classes tonight. There are four weight classes in the AAWF: lightweight, middleweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight tonight. The weight classes are for both men and women and are broken down like so: lightweight - to 139; middleweight - 140-169; cruiserweight - 170-209 and heavyweight is 210 and above. This may seem odd with those weight breakdowns, but while this should give the men an advantage against the women in weight, the muscle mass, speed, stamina, and toughness of these women will amaze you and give the guys something to think about. The women accepted these weight breakdowns without argument just so they could prove how good they are. The wrestlers of each sex within the weight classes can challenge any wrestler in any weight class. The weight classes are used for ranking and point determination, with more points given to wrestlers challenging a higher weight class and higher ranked wrestlers. We have the following matches tonight: Sheri Carter, 5' 6", 157 vs. "Deadly" Denny Stall, 5'10", 208 Keiko Suzuki, 5'4", 156 vs. Bull Taggart, 5'9", 227 Kristie and Buffy, The Steel Magnolias, 5'5", 168 & 5'6", 179, total 347 lbs. vs. Billy Thoms and Barry Wills, Wrestling's Dream Team, 5'9", 223 & 5'8", 228, total 451 lbs. Maria Lopez, 5'5", 157 vs. Doug "The Dragon" Dillard, 5'11", 192 Vicki "The African Princess" Brown, 5'6", 151 vs. Danny Moffo, 5'10", 227 Amy Dolan, 5'8", 177 vs. Gary Landon, 6', 228 Millie Combs, 5'4", 149 vs. Ricky Knorr, 5'9", 233 These should be very interesting matches. All the contestants are ranked within their respective top 10. The commissioners agreed the women deserved a shot at the top-10 ranked men. The women only want the chance and they'll go to great lengths to prove their abilities. Tonight, also marks Sheri Carter's 51st birthday. Many people feel she's too old to compete, but if you've ever seen her workout, you'll know she can wrestle with the best of them. And she's ranked #3 in the AAWF. There aren't many here who want to tangle with her. I think the one who will have her hands full is Keiko Suzuki, being only 18 and facing Bull Taggart who has destroyed a few young wrestlers and loves dishing out punishment. In fact, all these guys are basically dirty villains in the ring. But then so are the women, when needed. Before we go to the introductions for the first match, let's look at a video of Sheri Carter in a recent match held last month on national television: "...both women are trading punches in the ring. Sheri connects with a right, but The Black Mamba comes back with a left, then a knee to Sheri's groin. This is really out of control as Sheri is dazed and staggering back into the ropes. Mamba grabs her hair and pulling her head down drops an elbow into Carter's neck, sending her to the mat. A vicious kick to her head and Sheri may be finished. Oh my, Mamba with a big splash on Sheri's back knocked the wind out of her. Sheri's face has the look of a totally beaten woman who can't fight back. A hair pull and Mamba stands Sheri for a series of vicious chops to the throat, jerking Sheri's head back and forth and damaging the windpipe. The ref breaks it, but Sheri's hurt and Mamba keeps up the attack with more chops and a kick to the lower belly. Sheri leans against the ropes and tries to stumble away, but Mamba has her trapped and sends more knees into her belly. She now grabs Sheri's hair and jerks that back chopping her throat, but the ref breaks it. Sheri slides down the ropes to the mat and sits there breathing hard and trying to get up. Mamba lays the boots to her and Sheri collapses. There's only about a minute left as Sheri has been completely outclassed by the African Continental Champion. But the Champ has not been able to pin her. Even now, with Sheri bleeding from the forehead and nose and beaten to a pulp, sometimes staggering around the ring, she still has enough fight to prevent a pin. Mamba yanks Sheri's hair and holds her up, but Sheri with a headbutt stuns the Champ. Now another and Mamba's nose is bleeding and maybe broken. Sheri's free and while she's still moving slowly, she drives a left into Mamba's chest, and then nails her with a right forearm to the jaw. There's the bell, but Sheri has her up and slams her face into a turnbuckle, then kicks her belly, making her double over. The ref can't stop it as Sheri is possessed and keeps stomping the Champ, first her head, then her chest. The ref finally lifts her and carries her to a corner, trapping her there while Mamba slowly writhes in pain on the mat. She's sitting up dazed, her head flopped over the middle rope while the medics look at her. She seems to be okay, now getting up and moving to a corner where she sits on the middle turnbuckle looking dazed and her face a bloody mess. Sheri may be almost 51 years old, but this lady, beaten, bruised and bloody, can definitely take care of herself. She might be staggering around the ring, arms raised, but there's no quit in Sheri Carter. That's why she's been a champion seven times in her career." Before each match, we'll show you a short video of a recent match. That should explain why these women were chosen to wrestle the men tonight. Now let's go to Nathan Detroit with the first introductions. "Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the All-American Wrestling Federation's exhibition matches. The first match is one fall with a 20-minute time limit. Coming down the aisle with his manager, Carl Hinkel, from New York City, at 208 lbs., here's the menace of the AAWF, "Deadly'" Denny Stall.""† "† The fans send mixed cheers and jeers as he struts down the aisle, ignoring the fans and staring at the ring. Stall wears black trunks and gold boots. His long blond hair hangs to his shoulders. He's a cruiserweight, but very muscular although he isn't quick. He depends on his power to beat opponents into submission or a pin and loves defeating much heavier wrestlers. "And now walking down the aisle, the three-time AAWF Women's Champion accompanied by her manager, Lisa Dannaman, from Seattle WA, at 157 lbs, welcome the birthday girl, the 7-time women's champion, the one and only Sheri Carter." The fans mix cheers with some catcalls as she walks down the aisle, staring at Stall who stands in his corner glaring at her. She's wearing a bright red, high-cut leotard and black patent leather boots with her nasty looking black elbow wraps. Her short black hair is done up in a spike tonight. "The referee is the great Skye Masterson." Well, this looks very promising tonight. The way these two are glaring at each other means a very nasty match. The ref calls them to the center and goes over the rules, wait, it looks like they may start early. Stall just pushed Sheri placing both hands on her chest and shoving her away. Sheri comes back at him but the ref and Lisa Dannaman stop her. Oh yeah, this will be a brawl before we're done. Here's the bell. Stall quickly grabs an arm and throws her against the ropes, driving a knee into her gut as she comes off. That caught her off guard. A hair pull and hair toss across the ring and it looks like he's got her down and taking charge. Masterson finally breaks it and Carter gets up. This time they lock up and Stall pushes her into the ropes, then clubs her with that thick forearm, right across her chest. A knee into her belly and Carter drops to the canvas. The ref warns Stall about his tricks, but Denny just brushes him off and goes back to work. I doubt if the ref will get too involved tonight. The people came to see wrestling, not a ballet led by the referee. He grabs an arm and hauls her up to her feet, but Sheri counters with a jab to his gut, another and a third. Denny backs off, holding his belly and gasping for air as Sheri's punches did some damage. She rushes in, but Stall grabs her left leg and dumps her on the mat. He puts on a step-over-toehold, really twisting that ankle and trying to damage the knee. Sheri slaps the mat in pain and looks for the ropes, but can't quite reach them. The ref asks if she wants to quit, but Carter snarls her answer. Denny works that ankle and gets some help from Hinkel, his manager. He pushes on Denny's back, putting more pressure on that ankle. Lisa screams at Masterson, who walks over to her, allowing Hinkel to come in and stomp on Carter with his street shoes. Lisa is going nuts as Hinkel and Stall stomp and kick Sheri. The ref finally sees them and makes them break. Denny releases the hold and she tries to crawl away, but they follow and keep after her. Finally, Masterson stops them and throws Hinkel out of the ring. Wow, some punishment! Sheri tries to stand, but Stall laughs at her and smashes her face with a forearm. "Hey little lady, you think you can fight with me?"† "† Come on, come an' get me. Come on." Sheri stands and leaning against the ropes, really looks beaten. But never count her out. He's taunting her and Sheri moves in to lock up. Denny clamps on a side headlock and squeezes hard. Sheri manages to throw him against the ropes and dives into his belly as he comes off the ropes. Wow, she really hurt him with that tackle. Sheri quickly climbs up on his chest and begins hammering his head and face with lefts and rights as he tries desperately to cover up. The ref finally gets a four-count before she stops and stands. He tries to push her away but she gets in one more kick to his belly before she steps back. Denny slowly stands and glares at his nasty opponent. He's finding out the hard way that Sheri is a battler and won't give up without a fight. He definitely found out she's no cupcake. If the ref wants this to be a wrestling match, he's better take control fast 'cuz it's turning into a street brawl. And the fans love it. They come together and lock up, but Stall pushes her into the ropes and hammers her head and neck with forearm blows. She drops to one knee and hangs on to the ropes, but then drives a fist into his gut, then a second. Sheri follows up pulling his hair and dragging him around the ring, then nailing a knee lift to his face, dropping him to the mat. His nose is bleeding as she clamps on a side headlock and grinds hard on his head and neck. Denny yells in pain, but she hangs on, smashing a fist into his face. Masterson breaks it up, but Sheri drives another fist into his face, then releases the headlock. Stall falls back onto the mat, but Sheri quickly pulls him up by his hair and runs across the ring, throwing him through the ropes. He flies over the ring apron, landing hard on the wood floor. Sheri climbs through the ropes and jumps to the floor, coming after her prey. She pulls up Denny and throws him into the steel barriers. His head rams into the steel bars and Stall crumples to the floor. She then grabs his hair and holding him up, clotheslines him over the barrier and into the seats. He's in a bad way now as she climbs over the barrier and pulling him up, throws him over the steel barrier. She climbs back over and lifts the hurt Stall and holds him up in a bearhug, lifting him off the floor. What is she, oh no, here she comes, running his back into the edge of the ring apron. "AAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE," Stall screams out as his back is seriously hurt. He's crying and badly hurt but she just smiles and repeats the move, then lets Stall go and leaves him standing leaning against the apron. Denny Stall the deadly one looks like a mess as he falls in a heap. Sheri grabs a chair and walking over to her hurt opponent, lifts it high and slams it into Denny's back. "AAAAHHHHHH, STOP! WHAT THE FUCK! STOP, STOP HER!" he screams as she again slams it into his beaten body. He's sprawled out face down on the floor, his body hurt and red welts raised over his back. Sheri throws the chair aside and kicks his ribs several times, making Denny curl up into a ball. But she's not through. She climbs into the ring and rolls back out so the ref must restart the count. Sheri grabs a leg and drags Denny to the steps at ringside. She lays the foot on the steps then leaps high and lands sitting on the ankle. Denny screams out as she sits on the ankle refusing to move. At the count of 16, Sheri yanks Denny to his feet and throws him into the ring. Sheri climbs in and stands over him and kicks Denny as he tries to stand. She's got him hurt bad now and keeps after him with more kicks and knees to his back and head. Sheri finally grabs both arms and yanks back in a surfboard, pulling back hard. Denny is now in deep doo-doo. She's got those arms pulled back almost straight and his shoulders must hurt like hell!"† "† He's screaming, but won't quit, especially to a woman. "Come on big boy, can't you fight with me?"† "† Come on, come an' get it. Come on tough guy. YOU SUCK!" She's teasing him like he did to her. Sheri has him in a bad way, but he'll face dislocated shoulders before he quits to her. Sheri knows this pushing hard with one leg, forces his face into the canvas with a curb stomp. She smiles down at him, then grabs his hair, pulling him up and slamming a series of forearms to his head, which flops to one side. She's raining blows to his head and he can't respond. His arms just hang at his sides as she keeps up the dirty work. His face is badly bruised with deep red welts below his eyes and a bloody nose. Masterson tries to break it up and finally pushes her away, only to have Stall fall on his face at her feet. Sheri climbs to the top rope and before Masterson can stop her, jumps off with a huge leg bomb, right across Stall's back and neck. I think this is over and should be. He can't take much more from this li'l ol' woman."† "† Sheri picks him up by the hair and lifts him a body slam. She carries him and runs across the ring slamming him with a big powerslam, driving him into the mat. She hauls him up again and lifts him over her shoulders in a standing backbreaker. That rack has to hurt as she's bouncing him on her shoulders, then pulling down hard, bending him backwards. Arms waving frantically, he's screaming in pain, but won't quit. Sheri drops him in a heap and drops a big leg across his throat then lies across his chest and covers him, lifting his left leg. Masterson counts, 1..........2..., and she pulls him up by the hair, breaking the count. Sheri is showing a really mean side as she pulls him to his feet, applies a front face lock and spins him into a neck breaker, dropping him hard to the mat. Why doesn't she end this? Now she's pulling him up and applies a front headlock, turning it into a suplex, lifting him straight up and dropping back, really damaging his back. She slowly rolls over and pins him, 1..........2..........3, and it's over!"† "† Sheri Carter has won the first in this series of mixed matches. She's set the tone for the others to follow and has given the women something to cheer and shoot for. Holy Cow! Sheri's just picked up Stall and tossed him into a corner, slamming his back into the turnbuckle. He's barely conscious, slumped in the corner, his arms draped over the ropes. Sheri pulls his head back and slaps him several times. The ref pulls her off and pushes her away. But she runs into him with a flying elbow to make sure he's out. Stall's head snaps back and he slumps to the mat, resting against the ropes. Sheri's laughing at him and walks back to her corner. "The winner at 16:47, the birthday girl, Sheri Carter." Our own former AAWF Women's Champion and very able opponent, "Axhandle" Annie London is with the winner. "That was a great win, Sheri. How do you think the others will do?"† "† And happy birthday, rookie. We've had a lot of hard fought and nasty battles, but I'm very glad to see you win tonight." "Thanks a lot, Annie. Rookie, huh; well, I think the others will do just fine. I gotta tell ya, this bozo Stall stinks! My daughter has put up a better fight in practice. If the rest are like him, we're in easy. And besides, we have the big mo now and will keep after the guys. We don't have anything to lose, they do. And now the pressure will be even more for them to win." "Yes, it is. What will you look for next?" "I want to keep going and try to win the AAWF Cruiserweight Title. I know Stall isn't anywhere near as good as the Champion, but with my experience and ability, I will put up one hell of a good fight and could take the title." "I think you could win, and now let's see what happens in the rest of the matches. Good luck and congrats on a great win Sheri." "Thank you, Annie." Before we go to the next match, let's take a look at this videotape from Japan. "Keiko is trapped in those vice-like legs and the Champion is squeezing hard. She's won with these waist scissors before, but look, Keiko is twisting around and facing Angel. She's up on her knees and slams a double axhandle into Angel's belly. The Champ is holding on, but Keiko hammers another one. She's hurt, but won't quit. This girl is tough and will definitely go places. WOW!"† "† A really low blow by Keiko and the Champ loosens the scissors. Keiko hammers her gut again and manages to get free. She's hurt, but goes after the Champ, climbing on top and grabbing her hair, she holds her head up and slams a fist into her face. The ref yells at her and pulls her off. Keiko is really primed for this fight and goes around the ref to grab Angel's hair, pulling her up and throwing her into a corner, then following with a big kick to the head. She pulls Angel up along the ropes and applies a spinning reverse neckbreaker and the Champ looks really bad. She's rolling on the canvas hurt. Keiko sends a kneedrop and several kicks to the back and head and the Champ is still rolling in pain. Keiko yanks the hair pulling her up and tosses Angel through the ropes, then follows her with a big kneedrop to her back from the apron. They're fighting on the rug-covered concrete floor, but it's mostly Keiko who's doing the fighting. She lifts the champ and then slams her onto the floor hard. That definitely has to hurt. Pulling Angel's hair, she rams Angel's head into the guardrail, opening a big gash across her forehead, then grabbing a fan's chair, bashes her back with it. Blood is pouring down her face as Angel tries to stand, stumbling against chairs and falling down again. The refs are trying to stop this, but Keiko won't stop as she pushes the ref and a security man aside. She places Angel into a standing headscissors then lifts her high and drops her with a vicious piledriver on the floor. Keiko then climbs back into the ring leaving Angel bleeding and out cold on the floor." Keiko Suzuki was ultimately disqualified when she went back out and kicked Angel's head and stomped her while on the floor. But she laid the foundation for her reputation as one mean wrestler. And this girl is only 18 years old. This next match will be just right for both wrestlers, very nasty. Carter and Stall used some dirty tactics, but nothing compared to these two. They will go all out using whatever means necessary to win. Let's go to Nathan Detroit. "Ladies and gentlemen. This next match is one fall with a 20-minute time limit. Now entering the ring, accompanied by his manager, Lora Wanker, from East St. Louis, MO, at 227 lbs., here's Dirty Bull Taggart." The fans boo and jeer as he struts down the aisle; he hates the fans and spits at them; Bull enters the ring wearing black tights and boots and removes a black cape with great flair. He's somewhat muscular, but looks a little soft in the midsection. He has long, black, shoulder-length hair. "Now walking down the aisle, accompanied by her manager, Kendo Yamata, from Nagoya, Japan, at 156 lbs., here's the Oriental Killer, Keiko Yakisoba." The fans don't know much about her, but from what they've seen she deserves all the jeers she gets. She walks down the aisle ignoring the crowd and staring at Taggart; wearing red spandex, thigh-length shorts and black crop top and black short boots. She's been spending time back in Japan in one of their women's feds but also likes it here. Keiko has been here a couple of weeks now so the time difference shouldn't be a problem. She's very young and can take a lot of action. But she'll have her hands full tonight. Bull is a dirty slob, literally, who has had some success here, briefly winning the Heavyweight Title, but has generally stayed between 5-15 in the rankings. He's actually done better in a couple of other feds where he's had several titles. "The referee is Skye Masterson." The referee calls them to the center and reviews the rules and how he wants the match to go, both wrestlers seem preoccupied with glaring at each other. At least there's no shoving this time. Here's the bell. They both charge out and lock up, with Bull forcing Keiko to the ropes and hammering her with fists and forearm smashes. She stays up and he continues his attack. Masterson separates them, but Bull runs around and grabs her left arm and twists it into a hammerlock. There's a hair pull takedown and she's slammed into the mat face first."† "† Bull's working that arm, plus kneeing her back. He grabs her hair and yanks back. Keiko lets out a scream and the ref breaks it. Bull lets go, but stomps her arm and shoulder as he stands. He grabs that arm again and twists it back, then stomps on it several times. He sits and puts her in an arm stretch, pulling that limb as far as he can. He's twisting the fingers and now biting them. Masterson breaks it and both get up. Keiko is a little slow and pays for it as Bull kicks her hurt shoulder, then kicks her chest, knocking her to the mat in pain. "† "† "† "† "† So far Keiko hasn't had a chance to mount any sort of attack. Bull's kept her busy and hurt. She glares at him, but he's got the momentum and grabs that arm again, twisting it into an armbar and stepping over, sitting down hard on the shoulder. He pulls up hard and bites the fingers again. What a crud! He's yelling at her to give or he'll rip it off. Keiko tries to twist around, but he drives an elbow into her head, then again. That stopped her, but she still managed to twist around and drape a leg over the bottom rope. Bull releases her, but stomps her head and back, then yanks that arm, dragging her to the center and dropping a knee into the upper arm. Another for the shoulder and Keiko's rolling in pain. He stands her up and lifts her with a choke slam, then throws her about 8 feet. He falls on her for a pin, but Keiko bridges out at 2. That takes some strength to bridge with him all over you. Bull rams a fist into her gut, then covers her again. But she bridges out and Bull hammers her exposed belly again. The ref warns him and Bull tells him to drop dead. "This is fuckin' wrestling, not knitting!" A hairpull and he's got her up. He throws her into the ropes and catches her with a vicious clothesline across the throat. God, that hurt, plus her head slammed into the mat. This girl can take some punishment. Bull shows the crowd he's about to end it when he runs his thumb across his throat, then lifts her for a big bodyslam, but Keiko drives an uppercut into his belly, then another and a kick to his gut. Bull was caught off-guard and a bit shaken. He fires a left to her head, but misses and she returns the favor. They're trading punches, but Keiko blocks one and drives a knee into his gut. She pulls his hair and holding his head down, drives another knee that looks very low and Bull crumbles to the mat. She stomps his belly and keeps kicking his back and head, then yanks his hair, pulling him up for a toss against the ropes and drives a shoulder into his gut as he bounces off. She quickly sits on his chest and pulls the hair, bashing his head into the mat. The ref breaks it, but not before she lays a knee across his throat. What a turn of events here! She's got the momentum to win this, unless she makes a mistake. In just a minute she's got Bull hurt and down. But instead of putting him away, Keiko let's him up. What is she doing? He's too dangerous to play with. Bull rests against the ropes, just waiting for Keiko to move in. Looks like she's catching her breath, too. Her she comes and Bull with a quick kick to her belly, another to her head and she drops like a rock. She's trained with men in Japan and faced a few in tag-team matches but Bull is the roughest she's faced and this might be a surprise to her. He pulls her hair and lays her throat across the ropes and kneels on her neck, mashing her throat into the rope. She's gagging, look at her tongue hanging out! Bull sits on her neck and the ref is barely breaking it! He finally counts and Taggart moves back. Bull grabs a leg and drags her to the center, then drops an elbow across her back, driving it into the small of her back. Keiko better do something fast or she could be finished. She's really hurt and Bull keeps up the pressure. He kneedrops her back, which is really hurt and she's screaming in pain. Bull pulls her hair and stands her up for a big suplex. "Come on little girl, no crying in wrestling. Let ol' Bull take care of you." He's got her up high and drops her onto her back. God, how much more can she take? Keiko can't move and Bull just stomps her belly, making her double up. She tries to roll out, but Bull gets in one more kick to her head before she rolls out and onto the floor. I'm not sure if she can continue. She looks dazed and wobbly walking around trying to clear her head. This could be a real setback for the women. She's trying to talk with Kendo who is pointing at Bull. Maybe he sees something, but I think it's too late for Keiko. She climbs up to the apron and ducks a punch, then drives a shoulder into Bull's gut. He backs off and Keiko jumps in ready to go. She quickly grabs his left arm, twisting it into a hammerlock, then a hairpull and she spins him down on his face. She's really working that arm and shoulder, pushing up hard. Bull's grunting, but can't power out of it. She moves up and plants a knee on the arm, then pulls back on his chin. She's following Kendo's instructions and now has Bull in a bad way. This isn't enough for a submission, but she's making life miserable for him. Bull tries to reach the ropes, but Keiko quickly stands and pulls him back into the center. She goes right back to the hammerlock, this time with a knee drop onto his shoulder."† "† Now it's Bull who can't move and Keiko's taking advantage by dropping an elbow onto his head. She twists the left arm into an armbar, then steps over it and sits down hard on the shoulder. Keiko has that arm between her legs, pulling up and back, really pressuring the shoulder and trying to dislocate it. She better hurry, there's only about 5 minutes left. Keiko yanks on that arm trying for a submission, but Bull won't give. The ref asks, but Bull shakes his head and grimaces in pain. He'd rather have a broken arm than give to her. She's made a great comeback in this match. Bull is slowly getting to the ropes, and now makes one last lunge and reaches them. Keiko won't break, but the ref counts and she lets go at 4. She stomps that shoulder as she rises and has Bull rolling in pain. He rolls under the ropes and out on the floor walking around trying to recover. WOW! Her comes Keiko who jumps off the apron down on Bull and drives him into the steel barrier. She pulls him up and whips him into a ring post, his face slamming into it with a crunch. There's blood running from his nose as he stumbles around the floor, dazed and badly hurt. Keiko sends a dropkick into his head dropping Bull, then grabs his hair and throws him back into the ring. She quickly moves in and grabs that arm again, twisting it into an armbar and sitting on it again. She wants that submission, but Bull won't give it. Only a minute now so she has to do something fast. She pulls up Bull and drives a fist into his gut, then lifts him high for a big slam. She slams him into the mat and dives on him for the pin. Bull kicks out at 2, and Keiko quickly grabs his hair and slams his head into the mat. Another pin and again Bull lifts a shoulder at 2. He looks like a sack of potatoes in her arms. She stands over him and kneedrops his gut, and then falls on him for another pin. A 2 count and he kicks out. Keiko pulls him up; that's it, the bell rang and this match is over. She made a great effort, but the two fought a hard battle to a draw. But she's not through; Keiko keeps fighting him with more kicks and elbow drops to his head and neck. Bull's hurt and can't fight back or move away from her. She climbs to the top and leaps off, landing with both knees on his chest and belly. That really hurt and he's barely moving. She's standing over him and yanks him to his knees. Holding him by his hair, she yells to the crowd, "Who really won tonight, me or this pile of dog shit?" The crowd is yelling and cheering her on. Wow, we weren't expecting that. The ref and security guards have grabbed her and are taking her away. She's still kicking, trying to get away from them. Look at Bull's face. It's a bloody mess and his eyes are glazed over; definitely a beaten man. Bull is now slowly getting up and getting his bearings. He's dizzy and very wobbly, leaning against the ropes and he's holding his badly bruised belly, but otherwise seems okay."† "† "This match was fought to a draw after the 20-minute time limit expired. The next match will start in 15 minutes" Well, that's official and the score is now 1-0-1, with the women still in the lead. The next match is another match with two wrestling veterans. Here"s Keiko now and we'll talk with her and her manager. "† "† "† How do you feel about this match? "I am very disappointed by not winning. This Bull is not worthy of my time, yet I was not able to beat him. I want another chance to face him." Do you believe women should be given the chance to compete against men in the AAWF? "Of course, or I would not be here. Men are no better at wrestling or fighting than women. We are usually smaller, but faster and just as strong. I can defeat anyone, no matter how big or strong." Thank you for the time to answer our questions. "I have one more thing to say. Too bad if the fans don't like me because I am rough. I fight to win matches, not friends. Whoever gets in my way will go down. I will be a champion." Well, what can you say about a girl who wrestles like a veteran and knows what she wants. She's definitely on her way to titles and will get one here very soon. Let's hear from one of our sponsors, Geritol, and then we'll see a video clip of a match that took place 6 weeks ago. This video of the Magnolias shows what a dynamic and talented team they are. As I said earlier, this clip is from about six weeks ago: "Buffy has the Cowgirl in the corner pummeling her with forearms to the head and chest. Cowgirl can't move, and the ref finally breaks it up and pushes Buffy away. That gives Cowgirl just enough time to stagger to her corner and tag Red. She jumps in and yanks Buffy's hair while she was arguing with the ref. Red has her down and stomps her back as Buffy tries to crawl away. But Red grabs a leg just as Buffy reaches to tag Kristie and drags her back to the center. Red keeps Buffy on her belly and applies a scorpion, trying for that submission. Buffy's screaming, but won't quit. Look at Red laughing. Wait, Kristie just flew off the top rope and nailed Red with a perfect dropkick, sending her into the ropes. That kick knocked Red into next week. She's barely moving. Kristie has dragged Buffy back to their corner, then stepped back out and reached through the ropes to get the tag from Buffy. She races across the ring and hammers Cowgirl with a forearm while she's trying to help Red. With her out of the way, she pulls up Red by her hair and flips her with a hair mare. Then another. As Red sits in a daze, her eyes glazed over, sweat pouring down her face and desperately trying to catch her breath, Kristie runs against the ropes and comes back with a vicious drop kick to her face. Oh my God, even I felt that one. The crowd is really booing Kristie; they really hate her here. Red falls backward and Kristie stands over her and yells at the crowd to shut up. She stands Red up and grabbing her neck, puts her in a neck breaker, holding her off the canvas and walking her around the ring. Red is screaming, her arms flailing but Kristie just laughs and drops to her knees, driving the neck into her shoulder. Red's head snaps forward, then flops back on the mat. God, I think she's out cold. Kristie rolls on top and yells at the ref to hurry. 1......2......3 and that's it, the match is over. Wow, I can't believe the vicious action shown by the cute Magnolias. They certainly didn't look so wholesome tonight. But it looks as though they definitely will go places. They're teenagers and they easily beat two 30-something veterans. Hey, wait...they're still at it. Kristie is choking Red who is frantically stamping her feet and can't fight back. She pulls Red up by the hair and throws her face first into a turnbuckle and laughs as Red crumples to the mat, nearly out. Buffy is still pounding on Cowgirl, who can barely fight back. She's bleeding from the forehead, but that doesn't stop Buffy from ramming her headfirst into the steel guardrails. It looks like Cowgirl's out cold, but Buffy keeps stomping her. Now Security has just pulled her off and actually thrown her a few feet away. Look at her, Buffy is just smiling and strutting back to the steps and into the ring. They're strutting around the ring pointing and laughing at their opponents. This display of tough, nasty wrestling and brawling will take them a long way. But don't forget, payback can be a mother!" The next match is coming up. Let's go to Nathan Detroit for the intros. "Ladies and gentlemen. The next match is a one-fall tag-team match with a 30-minute time limit. Coming down the aisle, from Hollywood, CA at a combined weight of 347 lbs., here are fabulous Kristie Banda and Buffy St. John, the Steel Magnolias." The girls come running down the aisle, slapping at outstretched hands, looking very stylish in their blue and red, two-piece spandex outfits, very tanned bodies and matching short red boots. They climb into the ring and strut around waving and jiggling their chests and butts for the fans. They are both big girls and really give the fans an eye full. As Nathan gets ready to announce their opponents, the girls begin stretching against the ropes. "And now, their opponents. The team that is taking the AAWF by storm and climbing up the ranks; accompanied by their manager and primary trainer, former women's champion, Mickie Haymes, from Denver, CO at a combined weight of 451 lbs., here are Billy Thoms and Barry Wills, Wrestling's Dream Team." Two lean and muscular young men, in their early twenties, just a bit older than the Magnolias, climb into the ring and walk around waving and stretching. The fans are divided and some boo them. They remove their old school velour wrestling robes and wear matching red and silver wrestling trunks and black leather boots. Their wavy blond hair hangs almost shoulder length. They also have very tanned bodies. Must be a lot of surfing for the new wrestlers. The Team has been wrestling a lot lately, trying to get as much exposure and action since they're going for the tag-team title. Both of these teams started in the junior ranks, but soon went after the big boys and girls and are really cleaning up. "The referee is Skye Masterson." The ref calls both teams to the center and goes over the main points. Let's listen in on the instructions. "I don't want any of your normal crap during this match. I'll be very quick with the DQ if it continues. You both understand that?" Neither team is saying a thing. Look at the Magnolias; they're glaring at the Dream Team, not paying any attention to the ref. This really could be a nasty match. The boys point at the girls and laughing, "I'll bet you need a heavy-duty bed when you two carpet munch." I don't think this is what we expected to hear. They're standing there laughing at the comment. The girls take a step toward them and the boys back up. "Yeah, and you two assholes must have a great time nob-gobbling as often as you do. Hey and speaking of assholes, do you both use KY Jelly?" Uh oh, the guys are really angry and step forward, but the girls don't back down. WOW! Mickie Haymes just jumped up in Buffy's face and bumped chests. Let's pull the mike away from them; we've heard enough. I'm just glad we made those announcements about rough language; adult situations and this program might not be suitable for 18 and under before the telecast. The ref manages to separate the two women, but this match looks to be one big brawl. He's gotten between the teams and pushes them both back. For four very young wrestlers in a tough business, these two teams have really proven themselves and this will be one nasty fight. They go back to their corners and Haymes is still yelling at the Magnolias. Well, she looks like she could get right back in the ring and definitely hold her own so maybe the girls might have a third opponent tonight. Kristie will start for the Magnolias and Billy Thoms comes out for the Dream Team. They slowly circle each other and move in close, then both lunge in to lock up. They're straining to push each other into the ropes and it looks like Kristie is winning as she pushes Billy back. Ooooh, what a move as Billy steps backward, then uses her momentum to bring Kristie around and shove her into the ropes. He's got her bent over the top rope and slams a forearm into her chest, then a second and third. Kristie gasps and tries to gulp in air and Billy now rams a shoulder into her belly, then drives a fist up into her left breast. Oooh, that one made Kristie go down on one knee. The ref is trying to break it up, but not very effectively as Billy Thoms places Kristie's throat across the middle rope and drapes his right knee on her neck while talking to the fans below. Kristie's face is turning red and she's gasping for air, but the ref keeps arguing with Billy. Finally, the ref counts to four and Billy steps away, then right back onto her neck. Buffy comes running in, but the ref stops her and pushes her back while Barry comes up the apron and knees Kristie in the head a few times. The poor girl is really taking a beating here while Masterson tries to keep control of the match. Billy is still sitting on her neck while Barry talks with Masterson about Buffy. The ref finally turns and counts to four making Billy get off Kristie's neck and he shoves Thoms away from the hurt girl. Kristie falls off the middle rope and to the canvas, trying to grab the middle rope to help her get up. WOW! Barry just ran down the apron and slammed a boot into Kristie's face sending the poor girl back down and rolling on the canvas, holding her face. looks like some blood is showing through her fingers. Oh god, yes, she's bleeding from a cut above her right eye. Looking at her hands all red, she suddenly gets up quickly and instead of tagging Buffy, she turns and goes after Thoms. Holy crap, she just pulled the ref out of her way and drove an elbow into Thoms' face, snapping his head back. Then another and a third before she grabs his hair and tosses him across the ring. Billy lands hard on his back and slides under the ropes and get away, but Buffy is waiting for him, slamming an elbow into his face, then driving a knee up into his very sensitive parts. WOW! Listen to that scream as Thoms drops like a rock, clutching his manhood and rolling around the floor while the crowd howls with laughter. Looks like our clean-cut boys are being taught a lesson in brawling. Buffy kicks him a few times before the ref gets the four-count. Hey, here comes Mickie Haymes running over and, oh my god, she just drove a forearm straight into Buffy's face, knocking her down and then began kicking her all over. The ref is trying to grab her, but she slips free and keeps kicking. Kristie's down on the floor now trying to grab Mickie but Barry slams a vicious double axhandle into her upper back and Kristie falls to the floor. Mickie's reaching down and pulling Kristie up, puts her in a front facelock and drives a knee up into her face. Kristie's head snaps back and she falls back into the apron edge. Goddamn! That was one nasty knee lift. Kristie's face is bleeding; she is really hurt. Oh geez, Kristie is on the floor in a heap while Buffy is barely able to stand. The ref finally took charge and yells at Mickie. He pushed her back and she's telling her boys to head back to their corner. Wow, she really lit a fire here with that attack. Both girls are still down and don't look very good. Well, if anyone knows nasty tactics it's Mickie Haymes. Barry helps Billy into the ring near their corner where they tag and Barry comes in. Kristie manages to climb back in, blood dripping from her nose, and tags Buffy who steps through the ropes. Geez she doesn't look much better. She and Barry lock up and it looks like Barry's weight makes the difference as he pushes her to the ropes near Billy, who reaches out and grabs a handful of Buffy's hair holding her down while Barry repeatedly drives a knee into her belly and lower. She's still not all there and tries to get free, arms waving and flailing about but they're holding her and making sure she gets a rough beating for their efforts. The ref finally manages to break it up, but poor Buffy falls to the mat when they let go. She tries to stand, but Barry kicks her right leg, then again and she goes down. Barry tags Billy who leaps over the top rope like the gymnast he was and comes down on her back as she starts to get up. Billy's rough landing on her back flattens Buffy and drives her chest and face into the canvas. He steps off the prone wrestler smiling at the crowd, pulls her up by two handfuls of hair, then driving a knee into her belly. Buffy doubles over, gasping and holding her belly. The ref warns him to step back but Thoms whips her across the ring into the opposite ropes. Buffy bounces off them and comes back to be met by a dropkick smashing into her kisser. Wow, that really dropped her like a rock. Her head hit hard and she really looks just about out. Billy pulls her up again by her hair and throws her into the ropes, but this time she holds onto the ropes and fakes bouncing off. Thoms leaps up again for another dropkick, but misses when she holds the ropes. As Billy lands Buffy runs around him and tags Kristie before she collapses in their corner. Kristie comes in but Billy is up and ready. They move in close and lock up with Billy pushing her back against the ropes. Kristie leans back over the ropes and tries to take Billy with her, but he grabs her hair and pulls her back off the ropes then starts to throw her across the ring. But Kristie turns into him and drives a forearm up into his crotch before he can take the steps to throw her. Billy freezes and holding his groin falls against the ropes, trying to stay up. Kristie grabs his hair and bending him into a front headlock, drives a knee into his head, slamming into his forehead. Billy straightens up and falls back against the ropes again. That might be a knee lift he doesn't come back from. He looks really dazed and his eyes are staring out in space. Kristie shoves the ref aside and grabbing Thoms' hair, drives another knee lift into his forehead. This one sends him backwards and down, landing on his butt. Barry reaches in and it looks like their fingers barely touched, so Barry comes in, but ever so slowly. Billy is still sitting against the ropes near their corner like a lump. Boy, this match has really been a rough one with all four taking a good beating. The announcer just said it's been 20 minutes and all four are looking beaten, tired and worn out. Barry locks up with Kristie and manages to push her into the ropes, then quickly turns it into an overhand wrist lock on her right arm, pulling her away from the ropes and applying the pressure in the center of the ring. He kicks the back of her right knee forcing Kristie to her knees and gets down with her to complete taking her to the mat. Kristie tries to power out but she can't match his strength and leverage. She starts to wriggle around, trying to reach the ropes and finally manages to get there, placing a foot over the bottom rope. The ref breaks the hold and pushes Billy back until Kristie stands and continues. Kristie gets up, shaking out her right arm. She circles the ring watching Thoms as she looks for an opening. Finally, as he moves in closer, she lunges into a lock up and tries pushing him back. Billy leans into her and stands firm, his weight stopping her from moving him into the ropes. She slowly moves back and he keeps leaning into her, but she then twists and turns to her left, using his leaning momentum to pull him around her and against the ropes. Kristie leans against him and shifts one hand under his chin to hold him firmly over the top rope. Oh my, a vicious chop into his throat and Thoms clutches his throat gagging and coughing. She still has him held against the ropes when the ref moves in to break it up. She's ignoring the ref and when the count reaches four, she let's go and while talking to the ref drives a knee into his crotch then steps back. "AAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE," Billy screams in agony as his groin is on fire. he drops to the mat and curls up in serious pain. The ref warns Kristie about foul play, but she steps around him and reaching down pulls the young wrestler to his feet by the hair, then sends a flurry of chops to his throat and upper chest. Gagging and gasping for air, Thoms drops back against the ropes, trying to breathe. Kristie grabs his left arm and pulls him out, to whip across the ring. But she starts the whip then brings up her left arm in a clothesline. dropping the hurt man like a rock. She pulls him up again and repeats the move. This time Billy hits the canvas hard and smacks his head. Kristie looks at Buffy who signals her to keep going. She grabs two handfuls of Thoms' hair and pulls him up then places his head over the top rope and pulls the middle rope up and over his head, trapping him in the ropes. The ref is counting but Kristie turns to him and starts explaining life in the ring to him. He forgets the count getting all caught up in arguing. Buffy's sliding down the ropes and grabs the ropes on both sides of Thoms' head, choking him and pulling and pushing on them, shaking his head back and forth. His hands are trying to pry the ropes free but he can't do it as Buffy has them tight in her hands. Here come Mickie Haymes and Barry and they finally shove Buffy and get him free. Thoms falls to the mat clutching his throat and rolling on the canvas. Kristie reaches down, pulls up Billy by the hair and whips him into their corner. He smashes his back into the turnbuckles and bounces off then collapses in the corner. Kristie runs from a neutral corner and smashes his face with the bottom of a boot, then repeats it making sure her boot flattens his face. His head flops on his chest and he looks just about out. Mickie and Barry climb into the ring, but the ref stops them, pushing them out. Meanwhile, Kristie is stomping his head and chest while he's nearly out. She finally pulls him up by the hair and turning him around, lifts him onto her massive shoulders in a torture rack. These two might not be cut like the boys are, but they definitely have the strength. She lifts him onto her shoulders and holds him at the chin and his thighs. She begins bouncing and bending him while walking around the ring. Many in the crowd are cheering her on, thinking maybe we're seeing a special match tonight with these two girls getting a good jump on their careers. She keeps bouncing Thoms who screams in pain, but won't give. Kristie tries one more thing. She jumps up and down a few times, making sure Thoms leaves her shoulders for a split second before coming down on them again. Then she drops to her knees, really jarring his hurt back. That does it; he's screaming out in pain waving his submission. The ref tells her it's over, but Kristie keeps him up and walks around smiling at the crowd. They seem to love this extra attraction and cheer her on. The ref starts to count her out, so she drops him at 3 and walks back to her corner. Both girls strut around the ring holding up their arms and the crowd goes wild. The ring announcer yells into the mic, "The winners at 27:32, the team of Buffy and Kristie, The Steel Magnolias." The crowd loves it as Buffy shoves Thoms with her foot kicking him under the ropes and onto the floor. They leave the ring heading back to the dressing room high-fiving and slapping hands all the way. Let's see if Annie London can get to them for an interview. "Hello wrestling fans, this is Annie London and I have Kristie and Buffy, the Steel Magnolias. Girls, you must be thrilled with this win tonight. it was very decisive and you made a big point for women's wrestling being on par with the men." "Hi Annie. Yes, we are happy with the win, although we should have been able to put these two bums away much sooner. They really aren't much and we're so "effing" much better than them. What do you think Kristie?" "Yeah, I agree, they stink and we should have had them in under 10 minutes. But we won and that's what we wanted to show, just how good women can be. Next time maybe we'll go for a belt." Girls, do you really think you're ready to challenge the tag-team champions here? They aren't like these two." 'Hey, we'll take anyone, anytime, anywhere. We don't back down from any of these guys! Let that be a warning to all you haters out there that think we haven't got what it takes. Come on Kristie, let's shower and go have a few beers." "Well, they certainly aren't shy about their abilities and after tonight, they don't need to be. They turned the wrestling world on its ear, along with the other two matches so far, so it looks like the women are going to be on equal footing with the men. Back to you Shelly." I guess that puts us halfway through tonight's card. Let's take a break and listen to a word from our newest sponsor, Graham-Paige Automobiles, and we'll be back with our fourth match of the night. There will be three more matches posted soon, I hope. I'd like to thank C, G, Dean, Michael and Stone for their comments and assistance over many years. They have always been most helpful. To all the people who read this: Please don't be shy about commenting, good or bad. I really want your ideas to help me write better stories. I think this should solidify my Nobel Prize for Literature.
