Wonder Woman: Inevitable Chapter 1: Wonder Bait It wasn't supposed to happen like this. Her information seemed reliable. Nazi spies were using the run-down old warehouse building down by the docks as a base. They wouldn't be expecting a visit from Wonder Girl! She was going to round up those Abwehr agents and prove to Diana, the FBI, and everyone else that Wonder Girl was just as good as Wonder Woman! But it had all been a big, elaborate lie. They were waiting for her, and as she crept through the darkened warehouse the trap was sprung. A heavy net fell from the ceiling and landed on her, staggering her and tangling her up. From nowhere a female Abwehr agent tackled her. Then another sprang upon her, and another. Tangled as she was in the net she was easy for the helferin to pin down. One of the "grey mice" produced a rag soaked with chloroform and pressed it over her face. Wonder Girl struggled valiantly, but after a minute or two of fruitless writhing she descended into darkness. Wonder Girl woke in someone's lap, her head aching, her chin against her chest. As she began to gain focus she noticed that she still had on her belt, lasso, and bracelets and she felt a spark of hope. With her power items still on she had a fighting chance. Then she felt the prick in her thigh and lolled her head over just in time to see the syringe being withdrawn. Almost immediately her head began to swim and she felt incredibly weak and confused. A hand cupped her chin and lifted her head up and she found herself staring into the face of none other than Fausta Grables, the "Nazi Wonder Woman." Fausta stood the dazed Wonder Girl up and walked her around to the side of the chair, one hand gripping the heroine's arm and another on her hip. She bent Drusilla over, and that's when Wonder Girl noticed the riding crop.... "Do you know who I am?" Fausta asked as she swung the crop for the first time. "YES!" Wonder Girl yelped as the crop smacked her rear. "Has your sister told you about me?" Fausta queried. "A....little," Dru gasped as the crop once again impacted with the back of her thighs. "She said you're a sick woman!" This elicited a laugh from Fausta and another hard smack. "She would know," the Nazi said. "Your sister and I, we have a....relationship. Now you and I will also have a relationship....of sorts." Wonder Girl cried out as the crop struck home again. It was all she could do to stay on her feet. The room seemed to be rocking and spinning, but even in her benumbed state the pounding of the crop was excruciating. Dru began to cry, then she began to beg. It dawned on her that Fausta had left her belt of power on to prove a point: it doesn't matter that you're Wonder Girl. I can still control you. Fausta delivered several more blows after Wonder Girl began to plead for mercy, then left the quivering girl hanging over the chair for a moment. She returned with four metal cuffs, and soon the helpless heroine found herself on her knees with her wrists and ankles chained to an eyelet on the floor. The way Fausta's eyes wandered over her sent a chill down Drusilla's spine. "You know your sister has told me about you, too, Wonder Girl. How wonderful you are, how sweet and strong and brave. How one day you will be the greatest of all the Amazons," Fausta laughed, settling into the chair. "It must be nice to have such a sister," she added, "although she's clearly not much of a judge of talent." Dru blushed. She knew Diana loved her but thought her sister considered her nothing more than a hassle; someone who wasn't ready, who she had to watch over. She never realized that Diana thought so highly of her. Her heart sank. She'd never had anything to prove at all, and now here she was a helpless prisoner in the grasp of their most dangerous enemy, and Wonder Woman had no idea she was even gone. "Wh...why did you....do this....to me?" the aching girl stammered. "My sis...sister will come f...for you, then you'll be...sorry!" "I am counting on it. Do you really think we would have wasted the time and resources to lure you here just to capture YOU, little girl?" Fausta scoffed. "You are the bait on the hook. We need only dangle you and Wonder Woman will fall right into our hands...." Chapter 2: Inevitable Wonder Woman took another long look at the picture and then turned it over again and read the note scrawled on the back. "Dear Wonder Woman, How do you like my new toy? I am very much enjoying playing with her as you read this, and you know the kinds of games I like to play. If you want her back you will come to the warehouse district after midnight tonight and you will come alone. If you are the good, submissive girl that I know you can be your sister, at least, might escape this unscathed. You, I'm afraid, will have to give yourself to us in trade. As you know very well what I am capable of I expect nothing less than your full cooperation. I must say I am finding Drusilla as exhilarating as I found you...and even more flexible. If you decide to leave her to me I shan't be at all disappointed. *signed* Your once and future owner, Fausta Grables" Wonder Woman flipped the picture back over. The fear in Wonder Girl's eyes was palpable, and Diana knew full well what Fausta was doing to her. Her eyes began to fill up with tears. "Oh Dru," she sighed. If she surrendered to Fausta she knew it was unlikely that either she or Dru would ever be seen outside a Nazi prison, or Fausta's boudoir, again. But if she didn't surrender... Wonder Woman her wrists were bound criss crossed behind her back and tied expertly with rope. More rope was looped above and below her breasts, making them stick out more while keeping her arms pinned to her sides. With a smile Fausta held Wonder Woman by her arm while she triumphantly marched her captive through the facility. "Und zo you zee, Vunder Voman, zis outcome vas....inevitable," Fausta said, then cleared her throat and continued in almost perfect, accent-free English, "Once I caught your little sister I knew that you would come to save her. Then it simply became a chess match, and you--how is it you Americans say?--were playing checkers. All that sneaking about, disabling my agents, only to give in when you found me with my Luger to her head. So here we are, the two strongest women in the world, but even though you are physically more powerful you will always be number two, Diana. Your weakness is predictability, and you are predictable because you are too soft-hearted. Perhaps I would have pulled the trigger, perhaps not. Perhaps you would have stopped me. Either way you would have at least had a chance to defeat me and you would possibly still be free. Now you are both my prisoners, and the only freedom you will experience henceforth will be the freedom that comes with submission." "What have you done with her, Fausta? If you've harmed her I'll, I'll...." Wonder Woman sputtered in anger and frustration. "You'll be a good girl and do exactly what you're told. Spare us both the useless bravado, Wonder Woman. You've been here before. You know you won't be doing anything I don't want you to. Besides, I've grown quite fond of Drusilla. She and I had some lovely experiences while we waited for you to show up. Well, lovely for me, anyway. I think she may still be in a state of shock." Wonder Woman bit her lower lip and got a little chill down her spine as she thought about the last time she was Fausta's prisoner. "Look, just...just tell me you won't hurt Dru. And you've got me now, you don't....you don't have to do those kinds of things to her." Fausta smiled as she escorted Wonder Woman through the facility. "Have you ever considered, Diana, that your sister might like 'those kinds of things' as much as you do? She's not a child, you know. You come from an island inhabited by physically perfect women who chase each other around in togas wrestling and playing bondage games. Just how innocent do you think she really is?" Diana frowned, realizing that line of discussion was going nowhere. She decided to try a new tack. "Speaking of inevitable, what's the point of all this, kidnapping us and bringing us to Germany? It doesn't matter what you do to us, you've lost the war, anyway." Fausta suddenly slammed Wonder Woman's back hard against the corridor wall. "Do you think me a fool, Wonder Woman?" she said angrily, her voice rising. "We kill fifteen Russians for every man we lose and yet they grow stronger every day and we grow weaker. You bomb us by day and the British by night and our cities burn. Our people endure unbearable hunger and privation. Of course the war is lost. We never had a chance with that mad, paper-hanging Bohemian corporal micro-managing everything. But I was ordered to bring you here and I have brought you here!" she sputtered. "But why does Hitler want us? What good does a propaganda victory do?" Wonder Woman asked incredulously. Fausta shook her head, "It's not Hitler who wants you, it's Himmler. To the Fuhrer you're just another pretty bauble, but the Reichsfuhrer SS is planning for doomsday. He thinks he will retreat to the Alps once the war is lost and fight a guerrilla war while he uses you, me, your sister--every Amazon--to breed an army of real supermen which he will then use to wreak vengeance upon the world. He thinks I don't know his plans, but he is wrong. The only way I could come back home without getting a bullet in the head was to bring you back with me. This achievement will buy me the latitude and time I need to plan my escape." "Escape?" Wonder Woman said. "But...mmmmf!" she started to ask when Fausta kissed her full on the lips. She found herself resisting much less vigorously than she should have. Fausta pulled away and looked at Wonder Woman for a moment. "Yes, liebchen. I'm going to Argentina, and you and your sister are coming with me." Wonder Woman looked away. "This can NOT be good. How did I ever let this crazy woman get her hands on me a second time?" she thought. "At least she's still an amazing kisser."
