Brother verses Sister 36 by Buzz Haywood buzzhaywood@yahoo.com Retirement! Last time: Pike glance my way. He had spotted me. It was 1:14:26 into this. Lauren had seen me too. Now everybody else had realized I was there. He looked at me in disgust. "YOU'RE NOTHING!" Pike shouted at me. He put a bear hug on Lauren. "YOU CAN WIN THIS, LAUREN!" I screamed. "BEAT HIM!" Lauren threw rapid shots at him, which caused the blood to pour some more. The bear hug was broken. Lauren executed a Frankensteiner on Pike. Two count! Suddenly, she suplexed him! Then she suplexed him again. And again. And then again! And yet again! 1:22:38 into this match. She then climbed the top rope and dropped an elbow on him. She got a near three count on him. So she gave him a DDT. Then another one. Then she gave him another top rope elbow drop. She hooked both legs and the referee slapped the mat. One! Two! THREE! That's it!! In the time of 1:36:34 Lauren had ended both Pike's undefeated streak and his World Heavyweight title reign. The audience erupted. I stood and clapped for her. I even had tears in my eyes. Security let me pass through. Lauren and I hugged and I congratulated her. Pike was placed on a stretcher. Confetti dropped from the ceiling. The crowd cheered and cheered for her. I admit that I wasn't concerned about Pike at all at this point. The Combat Continues without One 441 matches, Lauren with 435, and me with 6. My younger sister ended my career. You can now reach Lauren as well at laurenhaywood75@yahoo.com Pittman Pike is now at 4,768 and 1 loss. Pike went to the hospital. While being out of action, due to the beating, on the 100th day of my retirement, Pike recieved a contract to go to Japan to compete. It was an offer he couldn't refuse and he said good-bye to a rematch with Lauren and accepted the offer. I became Lauren's helper/assistant/manager but I also got a gig writing for the newsletter. I wrote about my sister's first World Title defense, where she defeated a guy from Oregon in 22 seconds. In their rematch it was a 23 second win for Lauren. That's where I learned about an upcoming fighter named Amanda Leve. She was awesome, so I decided to do a report about her. I didn't realize where this would lead. Article 1 I wrote about her match with Wyatt Sellers. Wyatt was too arrogant before the match because Amanda is a girl and he paid for it. Wyatt was humiliated and ultimately defeated. She easily put him in the rear naked choke, nearly choking him out. He tapped out. In one minute and nine seconds it was over. Wyatt read the article and wanted an interview with me. I agreed. Article II Me: Wyatt, you requested this time. I take it you have something to say about Amanda Leve and the match that has gotten over 261,050 views on You Tube. Wyatt: That match changed my life for the worse. I was ashamed and I couldn't face my team. Everyone laughed at me and still makes fun of me for losing to her. She thinks I showed disrespect to her by charging towards her when the bout began? Oh come on! It was a match! I wasn't supposed to be a gentleman. Me: Has your suffering and embarassment gotten any easier? Wyatt: No, not at all. No matter how hard I work, how much I've improved, nobody cares. They all just want to mock me for losing to her. Me: I'm sorry to hear that, man. Wyatt: A lot of these jerks aren't even fighters themselves. Me: I know how you feel. Wyatt: I want to have another meeting with Amanda. Me: Do you want to talk to her or have a return match? Wyatt: I want another match against Amanda to make things right. And so, Article III featured Amanda Leve. Amanda: I don't feel bad at the fact he gets picked on because of what I did to him. This is a sport. Suck it up. I beat him, made him tap out real quick, and I'll do it again. Me: So, you do accept his challenge? Amanda: Anytime! Lauren invited Amanda to work out at the gym with her. We were there early in the morning. I walked in holding Lauren's gym bag. Amanda walked in shortly afterwards. The girls chatted as I pulled out my sister's chart. It's my job to check off her work-outs. I filled up her water bottle with ice cold spring water. Lots of people recognized Amanda from You Tube. While Lauren and Amanda went to change, I looked over at a thread mill. It was Wyatt. I walked over to him. I mentioned that Amanda was there. Wyatt thanked me and walked into the locker room. I followed. "Look, I don't want her to see me," Wyatt said. "I'm just going to leave." I understood how he felt. To be continued ...
