Homians revisited, Part II: The king's scheming. By J. Allan J. - jallanj@yahoo.dk A Homian officer defects to Amazonia to uphold the fragile peace. Quick notes by author: About Homians: They are a fictional Greek nation, which are neighbours to the Amazons. The phrase Homian and certain names of characters and geographical places are borrowed from Hardie, but apart from that, the two series has nothing to do with each other. About Appian pass: Battleground where the Amazons ambushed and annihilated a 5000 strong Homian army. This catastrophic defeat has left the Homian nation stunned and traumatized, like Napoleon's Waterloo. (This fictional site has nothing to do with the 'Appian way' in the Roman empire). About Gargareans: A neighbouring tribe of the Amazon nation. The Amazons travelled here to get impregnated by the local males. The Amazons then stayed inside the Gargarean nation until they gave birth to their children. They would then bring the girl children back to be raised in Amazonia, while they would abandon the boy children to be raised by the Gargareans. About Skadi and Njord: The story about the troubled marriage between the two antagonists Skadi and Njord actually comes from the Norse mythology and not the Greek. However, I used this myth because it fitted just right with the troubled love between the main characters of my story. About Erinyes: They were female personifications of vengeance in Greek mythology. The Erinyes generally stood for the rightness of things within the existing order. They would revenge crimes as well as bringing people down to a low position, if they got too high and mighty. The story so far:- In two brief wars the Amazons have managed to annihilate all armies of Homia, thereby leaving the Homian nation completely defenceless. (This is described in the Hardie series). The Homians have suffered these terrible defeats due to superior military tactics of the Amazons and incompetence and ignorance of their own military leaders. However, by utilizing their women, the Homian nation manage to negotiate a peace treaty with the nation of Amazonia - leaving only the barbarian tribes to the west to be dealt with. During the celebration of the peace treaty, officer Lucius of Homia and officer Myria of Amazonia share a night of wild sex - Amazon style. In the morning Myria is emotionally unscathed by the event, but Lucius has fallen in love with his Amazon counterpart. The story: Waiting in quiet desperation: Five months had passed since the signing of the peace treaty between the Homians and the Amazons and the peace was still holding. Things were also quiet at the border to the barbaric tribes to the west - too quiet. The Homian senate inquired time and time again on how the threat from the west would be met, but they were always dismissed with the standard phrase from the king's council: "Trust the king - everything is under control." The truth of the matter was that king and his council had successfully negotiated a treaty with the war chiefs of the biggest and fiercest barbaric tribes to the west. However this was not public knowledge. The position of the king was the Achilles heel of the Homian democracy. The senate handled all domestic civilian affairs, while the king and his council handled all military and foreign affairs. The senate could give advice on these matters, but the king was not compelled to follow them. Furthermore the king was not accountable for his actions to anyone. Once Homia like any other Greek nations was ruled by kings with absolute power, but when democracy started to grow in Athens and Sparta, the people of Homia also demanded political reforms. However kings don't give up power just like that. Therefore a transition reform was made over 100 years ago, but the weak Homian democracy had still not found a way rid itself of the combined monarchy and democratic rule. This arrangement could work as long as the king was wise, but soon as he lost his mind, the position of the king became a liability for the Homian nation. Varus and Lucius knew nothing of king's plans and they were not going to know, because the king's council only promoted officers, which would follow orders blindly, never ask questions and not think too much - even better; men who couldn't think at all. And neither Lucius, nor Varus fitted into those categories and would therefore never be offered a place in the Homian military high command. In fact the King's council had looked at Lucius with distrust and downright disgust ever since he came back from the celebration of the peace treaty in the Amazonian capital Themiskyra. Lucius had chosen to spend the night with an Amazon officer and although nobody knew exactly what had happen between the two of them, the King's council could gather from the stories of young lads, who had tried their luck with some young Amazons, that it must have involved ball-busting and cunnilingus. Lucius claimed that he suffered from amnesia and said that he didn't remember what had happened during the night or why he was giggling relentlessly the next morning. He of course told his trusted friend everything, once Varus finally awoke up from his alcohol intoxication. Varus was a bit concerned about the wild stuff that his friend had submitted himself too, but he knew better than to criticise the sexual habits of his oldest and dearest friend. Lucius now longed for Myria and he couldn't get her off his mind. Soon after he came home, she began to appear in his dreams. One night she was riding his face and he awoke, when he had a mighty orgasm as he had wanked himself off in his sleep. He had not had a wet dream since the days, when he reached puberty. It was quite obvious that his 'addiction' wouldn't go away by itself and that he was compelled to go and do something about it. As it was forbidden for him to simply ride to Amazonia to seek her out, he had to invite her somehow and hope that she would come, but he didn't even know how to contact her. However, the Amazon queen Heta still sent her emissaries to the Homian senate every each month. So when the Amazonian emissaries arrived again, Lucius discreetly approached them and asked for advice on how to contact a certain Amazon that he would like to invite to his home. The Amazonian emissaries were good-looking women in the mid-fifties, who once had been fierce warriors, but now spent their time talking instead of fighting. They knew him quite well by now and didn't mind his company. They talked with muted voices so that they wouldn't disturb the debate in the senate. "Well, now. I can give her any message you like, if you just dictate your words to me." said one of the emissaries. "And who do wish to contact, young sir?" She took a scroll and wrote the date and place at the top. There was nothing to report from the debates in the Homian senate, so she would gladly give Lucius a helping hand with contacting his Amazon liaison - after all she was an emissary. "It's a message for Captain Myria. She's an Amazon horsewoman." Lucius said. "I don't know her exact title, though." "Captain Myria of the Queen's Royal Cavalry." the emissary added. "It would give Lieutenant Lucius enormous pleasure," Lucius began his letter. "If the noble and beautiful Captain Myria of ..." "The Queen's Royal Cavalry of Amazonia." the emissary filled in the blanks. "Would like to visit him in his humble home in Thermodonus, capital of Homia." Lucius continued his letter. "And ehh ... sit on his face." "Pugh." the first emissary put her hand to her mouth to avoid bursting into laughter and the other emissary turned her head and muffled her giggling. The explicit sexual content of the letter completely took the two the emissaries completely by surprise. "I'm alright now." the first emissary got a grip on herself. "Please continue." "He asks no favours for himself." Lucius continued. "And swears not to try to force or trick his worthless cock into thy holy pussy temple, which he instead promises to worship relentlessly with his humble tongue. He will also gladly endure any pain, which his honoured guest will see fit to bestow on him." "If you would care to follow the noble emissaries on their next trip to Thermodonus, then you'll be picked up at the senate building. Should you wish not to come, then please inform the emissaries at once." "With love and respect." Lucius was finishing his letter. "Halt, not 'love', that's indecent." the emissary corrected him. "With humility and respect." "Lieutenant Lucius of the Honoured Legion of Homia." Lucius signed the letter. "That's a very explicit and straightforward letter, young sir." the emissary complimented him. Lucius explained that there were certain linguistic misunderstandings at their first encounter at the celebration of the peace treaty and they got off at the wrong foot due to accidental insults. Despite the fact that people of both nations spoke Greek, the same words had different meanings due to cultural differences. Therefore it was best to keep communication as explicit as possible. "Wise policy, young sir." the emissary said to him. "Do you think she will come?" Lucius asked with anticipation. "I really can't say." the emissary answered. "However, I can guarantee that her decision will not be clouded by any misunderstandings regarding your intentions and expectations." "I thank thy, noble emissaries." Lucius bowed to them and returned to his chores at the senate. Wedding plans: Alas, four months went by after he dispatched his message and still no word from Myria. While Lucius was frustrated with his personal life, Varus was doing greater than ever. Soon after he had joined Lucius and the 'Honoured Legion', he found out that quite a few of the men from the north were 'swinging his way'. So now he could safely practice his for homo- sexuality close to home with men he could trust. It was very relieving for him, that he no long had to maul the faces or break the fingers of his sexual partners among the POWs - 'post coitum triste' (sadness after sex)   la Varus. The two friends sat a table at one of the many beer halls of the Homian capital. They didn't go out much these days, but preferred to stay at the barracks and drink with their men. At the bar stood a few 'grandpas' surrounded by their 'grandchildren'. Varus and Lucius used these terms about the old men, who were far too old to be in the army and the young lads of 15 or 16 years, who were far too young. As so many males had perished recently, the beer halls were now half- empty and while they, before the catastrophe in the Appian mountains were puzzling with life, the proprietors were now struggling to make a living. On this night, Varus and Lucius decided to visit a beer hall, because they had private matters to discuss. They were talking about their personal life - more specific; the wedding plans of their families, while they were swilling down beers like it was water and occasionally also drink fresh water from the jars on the table. "So, have your family finally decided who you are going to marry?" Varus asked. "Yep, it looks that way." Lucius replied. He actually thought that this whole marriage business was getting embarrassing. As unwedded males, which were able to produce children, had suddenly become a scarce commodity, the price of them had risen rapidly. His family - especially his farther, who was a natural-born haggler, were not going to let Lucius go for a cheap price. Lucius regarding these sessions, where other families showed up with their daughters to fix the sum of dowry, as merely extortion rather than actual negotiation. Last time Lucius discreetly went outside to get some fresh air, when the arguments between the families got too heated. He sat on the porch and looked at the stars, when he was joined by the young girl of the other family. They started talking about this and that - but not about the negotiations on their upcoming marriage. She was a bit younger than him - just about 21 and her late husband had perished in the Appian pass, before he could impregnate her. However, she shed no tears over her loss, because he apparently was a brutal bastard, who had slapped her around. Suddenly she started kissing Lucius passionately and when he started kissing her back, she took his hand and gently led him to the barn, where they made love in the hay. Lucius did not dare to ask her to sit on his face as cunnilingus was considered disgusting and disgraceful in Homia, instead he let her ride his cock. When they came back, the families had already settled the sum of dowry and had put a date to the wedding. The girl was officially still in mourning, so it had to wait until the upcoming spring a few days after the anniversary of the massacre in the Appian mountains. "So, you shagged her, while your families made the wedding plans, that's sweet." Varus complimented him. "And it went well?" "Well, she insisted on it and I think she got off, but I was thinking of Myria during the entire intercourse." Lucius answered. "Shit, she has got you dangling by the balls, my friend." Varus said. "Aren't you going to do something about it, instead of waiting around in quiet desperation?" "I have done all I can. Myria calls the shots, not I." Lucius said. "I just have to wait until she gets around to put her sweet pussy in my face." Lucius had once suggested the emissaries that he could escort them back to Amazonia, but they just snapped at him and told him to shut his gob and bid his time. Myria had not turned down his offer and therefore she would come - eventually. Lucius immediately backed off and didn't dare to mentioned it again to the emissaries. "And when you are married?" Varus was getting inquisitive. "What are you gonna do then?" "Well, I ain't gonna give up on my dear Myria." Lucius was resolved. "I'll continue to invite her up north and then we will have wild sex for three weeks or so and then we'll get on with our separate lives until we meet again - like Skadi and Njord. "Like Skadi and Njord?" Varus felt that Lucius could do better for himself. "Is that a life?" "That's some kind of life." said Lucius. "I might as well get her sweet pussy in my face as much as I can. Who knows how long this fragile peace is going to last, anyway?" "But enough of me." Lucius changed the subject. "Let's hear about the wedding plans for you, my friend. I hear that you are marrying some rich widow and the wedding is going to take place already in the fall. "That's right!" Varus replied. "And I want you to be my best man!" "Yes, sure. And I of course want you to perform the same task at my wedding." said Lucius. "But what do we actually do as best men?" "I don't know!" said Varus. "Make a speech and get drunk, but try not to beat up any of the wedding guests, if you please." "I'm fine with that." said Lucius. "But what are you gonna do with your wife, you know, regarding sex? "I ain't gonna do shit!" said Varus. "You see, it has all been taken care of!" Varus could see that Lucius looked puzzled. "She is 42 years old and has already got five children - including two snotty good-for-nothing sons, so there are no expectations there on my behalf. Her late husband died of natural causes and she just wants a husband to make up appearances, until her sons are grown. I'll just adopt her children and play along. I'm not even gonna share her bed. "Fool's luck." said Lucius. "You definitely got your cake and eat it too. But what's this about her bed, are some of the slaves of the household gonna shag her?" "No way!" said Varus. "She is a respectable lady. But it just so happens that she doesn't really get off by having sex with males, because she swings in a different way. So she will entertain her female lovers, while I have my own 'chores' to attend to, if you catch my meaning. In this sense, we are the perfect match. "You lucky son of a bitch!" Lucius was impressed how things had worked out for his friend. "I don't know what god or demigod you have been giving head to, but it sure has paid off. You better watch your step or else the Erinyes are gonna put you back in your place. This usually happens when you get too high and mighty and push your luck too far." "Who gives shit about the Erinyes?" Varus was getting cocky. "Better get, while the getting is good." "I'm thinking of taking a permanent position with the 'Honourable Legion' from now on, because there is no future in the army of Homia and this soldiering business can really be bad for your health these days - if you catch my drift. The truth of the matter is that I only pushed so far west during the last couple of campaigns, so I could get laid. Now I can have safe sex right here at home." "But you can't retire until the threat from the west has been put down." Lucius objected. "The king's council simply have to appoint you general now in order to deal with the barbarians in the west, in case they make a move against us. I'll help you any way I can, of course, you can always count on me, my friend. "Yes, I know that, old friend." said Varus. "But you will have your hands full, because the king's council will properly assign you to defend the eastern front." "Eastern front? Ha-ha-ha, very funny." Lucius cooed. "We can't do shit, if the Amazons should decide to invade us!" "Nah, don't sell yourself short." said Varus. "The king will send you out to engage them, because only you can vanquish any invading Amazon army single-handed. You just perform cunnilingus on the lot of them, then they'll pack up and go home and leave us in peace. You'll die in the end, of course, but at least you'll die happy with your face buried in the pussy of some horny Amazon." "I wonder how many Amazons, you'll put down, before that happens? Hmm... 300 or maybe 500, perhaps." Varus was teasing Lucius. "What! I can't believe my oldest and dearest friend is insulting me like this." Lucius cooed. "I'll vanquish at least 1000 Amazons, before I perish." "Yes of course, old man." Varus started laughing. "Sorry for underestimating your talents." The two friends were laughing their asses off. They started to get drunk now, but kept talking with muted voices, so no one else could hear. They continued to drink through the night and in the morning they stumbled out into the street, where they were picked up by a patrol of Lucius' nightwatchmen. They made sure, that Lucius and Varus got home safely. Coup d'‚tat of the king: A week later they both got orders to accompany a delegation of senators up north. Strangely, nobody seemed to know exactly what they were going to do up north. The orders of the senators were written in a scroll, which was sealed with the king's seal and the senators had strict orders not to break it until they reached a certain destination up north. They also carried several letters to the leaders of the nations in the north, which all also bore the king's seal. This indicated that the king planned to hire an army of mercenaries from the north to deal with the threat from the barbarians in the west. Lucius was irritated, that he had suddenly had to leave. It was just around the day in the month, where the Amazonian emissaries would arrive and Lucius had a gut-feeling, that Myria finally had decided to follow them to Thermodonus and she would very pissed, if Lucius was not there to greet her. As pissed off Amazons were not to be trifled with, Lucius was now scared of what Myria might do to him, if he accidentally walked out on her. She would properly chase after him and kill him by choking him to death with his own genitals. Lucius tried to make up excuses, that he had to stay at the senate a few more days, but the orders were specifically for him and Varus to accompany the senators, so there were no way around it - Lucius had to go up north with the senators, Varus and the rest of the senator's bodyguards. On the second day of the journey, Lucius started to get worried, he was not quite sure what it was, but he had a gut feeling that something was terrible wrong. He had noticed that they had forgotten a certain banner, but it was just a formality. The leaders of the nations up north knew all the emissaries of the Homians quite well and they wouldn't be strict about formalities. So that couldn't be the cause of his worry. At nightfall he had problems falling to sleep and just lay silent and looked at the stars until sleep finally came to him. During the night Lucius dreamt of fire and clashing steel. He stood paralyzed, while people were dying all around him. He saw the tortured face of his dear Myria, while the king of Homia was laughing. He woke up from his dream in cold sweat. He was now resolved; he simply had to go back to check on things back home. He waited until first light of the new day, then he stood up and got dressed and woke Varus up. He told him that a certain banner was missing. It was just a formality, but it would be correct to go back and fetch it. "Missing banner?" Varus was still half asleep. "I can't believe, that you woke me up at this hour because of some musty old piece of cloth that nobody gives a damn about anyways." "But go if you must." Varus was clear in the head now. "And if your dear Captain Myria has arrived, you can't just fool around with her and leave us in the shit. You simply have to bring her along and entertain her along the way, hi-hi." Varus started giggling. "Now, off you go and let me sleep. I'll cover for you, while you are away, but if you come back without that rotten banner, then I will personal kick your ass, is that clear?" "Perfectly clear, old friend." said Lucius. "Thank you, I owe you one!". Varus just waved him off and turned on his side and went back to sleep. Lucius mounted his horse, spurred it and hasted back to the Homian capital Thermodonus. The Homian emissaries and their bodygards had been underway for two whole days, but Lucius managed to cover the distance in half the time, because the emissaries were not used to the saddle like Lucius was. He arrived back at Thermodonus in the afternoon and he noticed immediately that the city was in disarray. The gates of the Homian capital were usually guarded by the regular army, but the guards at the gate were now dressed in his uniform of the Honoured Legion. However, he had not seen these men before and they were rather shabbily dressed. They didn't even bother to salute him, when he rode through the gate, they just gave a grunt, when they noticed his uniform and then continued to stand leaning their backs against the wall and acting like they didn't give a damn. He was just about to jump from his horse and give them a severe scolding for not saluting him and not keeping their uniform in order, but he had far more important things to do. He also noticed that people on the street were avoiding him and acted like they were afraid of him and his uniform. "Strange." he thought to himself. "I have been riding all day, but I didn't realize that I smelled that bad." "Get off your high horse, good sir." A hooded beggar was pulling at his foot. He recognized the voice, but couldn't put a name to it. "Now!" the voice of the beggar was now stern and demanding. "Hurry up, please." Lucius quickly jumped from his horse and the beggar stood right in from of him and drew his hood back. "Senator Flavius!" Lucius was shocked. "Why are you not at the senate instead of running around in the streets dressed like a beggar? Lucius knew him quite well from the senate. In fact, he had voted for Flavius, when the elections were held four years ago. Flavius were once an officer in the Homian army, but after he suffered injury in his left shoulder, he could no longer handle a shield. Instead he went into politics, because he could still raise his arm, when he gave a speech. "Shh!" the senator hushed at Lucius. "I am not a senator anymore and the senate is no more! You obvious don't have a clue on what's going on. Well, let me fill you in; the king has declared martial law and the senate have been dismissed." "He has also arrested the Amazonian emissaries and their bodyguards and he is planning to execute them in the arena either by crucifixion or impalement. It's going to be a slow and painful spectacle." "What? The emissaries are untouchable!" Lucius couldn't believe what he was hearing. "My men would never take part in such abominations." "The Honoured Legion has been disbanded and the men are either sent away or locked up." Flavius explained. "The barbarians have taken over their uniforms. The ones you see in the street are just a small vanguard of the gigantic barbarian army, which are on the march from the vest." "And the Amazon bodyguards of the emissaries?" Lucius asked. "The barbarians knocked them out with clubs before arresting the emissaries." Flavius replied. "The Amazons didn't see it coming, because they were dressed up as the Honoured Legion." "That old goat has gone bloody bonkers!" Lucius was getting pissed. "What does the regular army do about it?" "The regular army perished in the Appian mountains!" said Flavius. "And this mockery of an army, that we got now, are doing bloody nothing. They have sworn allegiance to the king, so there's not much they can do, unless they turn rogue, but they simply don't have the guts for that and there are nobody left to lead them, because the only officers, who would have gone against the king are you and Varus. That's why he sent you up north, so you were out of the way, when he initiated his coup d'‚tat." The king's plan was actually brilliant as it was totally reckless; once the Amazonian emissaries and their bodyguards had been tortured to death in the arena, the Amazons would be forced to retaliate and march straight at the Homian capital Thermodonus and there they would be met by an 8000 strong barbarian army. And while the barbarians and the Amazons were killing each other off, the army of mercenaries from the north would arrive to deal with the remains of any barbarian or Amazon forces. This way, the threats to the Homian nation from both east and west would be put down with one stroke. "So, what do we do about it?" Lucius was impatient to go at do something. "Should I go kill that fucking bastard right where he sits on his throne?" "You do not undertake such stupid actions." Flavius snapped at him. "Nah, despite all our misfortunes, we might just have one advantage. Your Amazon liaison is among the captives." "Oh, shit." Lucius thought to himself. "When Myria finally shows up, she gets banged over the head and thrown in prison. She would most likely be very pissed by now." "You're still an officer." Flavius explained. "You can claim your right to spend the night with her, before she is executed and make your battle plans with her." "Free the Amazon prisoners." Flavius continued. "Take the hostages out of the equation, then the Amazons will have no reason to retaliate and our brain-rotten king will be left with a mighty horde of barbarians, who are trotting through our fields and pastures. Then the people must rebel against this worthless good-for-nothing of a king." "Then Homia will have redeemed herself and we can finally rid ourselves of the abomination of the rule of kings and live in a true democracy." the voice of Flavius now sounded like he was giving a speech at the senate, but he regained his senses. "Excuse me, I'm rambling. I know I have placed a heavy burden on your shoulders, noble Lucius. I'm sorry, but I have no one else to turn to." "Put this rope on and be sure to cover your face. The king's counsel must not know that you have returned. Go now, for the senate and the people of Homia." The two men clinched their right fists and banged them together. Flavius turned around and disappeared and Lucius hurried home to get started on his endeavour. Lucius reached his home without being recognized and he banged the gate of his house. Lucius' household only consisted of one male slave by the name of Blasius. Lucius regarded him more as a friend and an employee rather than a slave or a servant. They grew up together at Lucius father's estate and when Lucius bought a house of his own, he asked his farther, if Blasius could follow him and be his servant and keep his house for him, when he was away. Lucius always paid Blasius each week for his service and give him a monthly day off, so he could spend time on his own. Actually Blasius spend most of his time on his own because he had the house to himself most of the day. The two men would eat breakfast together in the morning and then Lucius would be away all day. Usually Lucius would eat dinner at the barracks with his men to show, that even if he was the commanding officer, he was still one of the boys and at the same time he could ensure, that they were well fed. But Lucius insisted that he and Blasius would eat dinner together once a week, so that they would not grow strangers. His servant opened the hatch of the door in the gate. "Who's there?" Lucius pulled his hood back so Blasius could see his face. "Master?" Blasius was surprised to see him back so soon. "Shh!" Lucius hushed at him. "Just open the door, please." When he got inside, he bowed to his servant. "Noble Blasius, will you join me in an adventure, where we will face grave danger and gain no riches except honour?" "Yes, Master." said Blasius and took the bridle of his horse. "How can I help you?" "First you have to stop calling me 'Master' from now on, because you are now citizen Blasius and no longer my servant or slave. Please wait here, I'll be going out again." Lucius went through his house into his private room, where he fetched a cape with a hood and produced a leather pouch, which he filled with silver coins from his chest. The coffers of Lucius were full these days, because he had a well- paid job and very few personal expenses. But now it was to time to spend his wealth to try and save his country. Then he went to the stable and fetched his second horse. "I will now go to the prison to bring back a certain lady, who is gonna help us in our endeavour." Lucius gave his instructions to Blasius. "And while I'm gone, I want you to draw up a list of servants and slaves in the city, who are unhappy with their masters and are willing to risk their lives to gain freedom. We need at least 8 people to make this work, but secrecy is essential, therefore they must have your complete trust or else we can't use them." Lucius bowed to Blasius he went out the gate. "Now, you just hold the fort until I get back with my Amazon liaison." Lucius rode off to the prison. When he got to the gate of the prison, he removed his beggar rope and knocked at the gate. "What?" the private, who opened the hatch of the gate, sounded irritated. "I am an officer and I want to claim my right..." Lucius started proclaiming. "Go away! You won't get any of the Amazons today!" the private snapped at him. "I demand to see the commanding officer." Lucius didn't take no for an answer. The private grunted something and then a new face looked at Lucius from the hatch. The prison captain didn't know him, but took him for a decent kind of officer and let him in. "Don't take it personal, good sir." said prison captain. "But we have strict orders not to let any of the Amazon prisoners out of prison. We have had quite many requests from officers, who have personal reasons to get back at the Amazons, therefore this custom has been put on hold for the time being." "You see." the prison captain continued. "The king has declared, that all the prisoners must be in good health with all limps intact, when they enter the arena tomorrow afternoon. He wants to ensure that they all last a long time at the torture and execution show in the arena." "Well." said Lucius. "I can assure you, that I didn't loose any family members in the Appian pass, so you can safely hand any Amazon over to me, I swear that I will not do her any harm - accept to her pride and private body parts." "I'm sure that our noble king will not object to that I grease up her pussy a bit, so the stake will slide in a little easier." "I'm very sorry, good sir, but orders are orders." the captain was still reluctant to hand an over an Amazon prisoner to Lucius. "Besides I will leave this as collateral so you can be sure, that I will bring her back safe and sound." Lucius produced the leather pouch and put it on the table with a little slam, so anyone in the room could hear that it was filled with a lot of money. "And by the way." Lucius pushed the leather pouch further towards the prison captain. "I don't need to have all the money back, so why don't you buy some beers for yourself and your brave men. The captain looked at the leather pouch and licked his lips, but did not dare take Lucius' offer. "Beer!" said the private. "That's a very generous offer from a Homian officer and gentleman. It would be rude not to take him up on his offer, my good captain." As Lucius now had shared his wealth with the privates, the captain had no choice but to humour him. "All right, who would you like to claim for the night?" the captain led Lucius to the cells, where the Amazons were locked up. The two bodygards of the emissaries were in uniform. Myria was not in uniform, but wore a civilian dress like the emissaries. "They don't look like much. I've heard that Amazons are very beautiful women!" Lucius pretended to be disappointed. "Are you holding some one back for your own private pleasure?" "No, sir!" the captain was worried that Lucius would walk out again with his money. "These are the very ones, who were taken captive at the senate." "Very well then." Lucius sighed and pointed at Myria. "I'll take her." "Beware sir!" the captain said. "Amazons are very dangerous creatures. She must remain tied up all the time and never leave her unguarded at any time during her stay in your house. And be sure to bring her back tomorrow morning alive and with all limps intact." "Yes sir. I got it." Lucius answered. As soon as Myria got out of the cell, she spat in Lucius face and scolded him. "Come here, you impudent cunt. I'll teach you some manners." Lucius took a firm grip in her hair and marched off with her, while she continued to scold and curse him. "You can lay off the charm, no one is watching now." said Lucius when they got outside the prison gate. "Here, put this cape on." Lucius discreetly untied the leather cords, which she was tied up with and Myria mounted one of Lucius' horses. The stallion neighed and objected to having to carry a rider, because it had not yet recovered from the hard ride this morning. Lucius soothed the horse by stroking its head and whispered in its ear. "Easy, old boy. I know you are supposed to have the rest of the day off, but please carry her home for me. Hopefully, she'll be riding my face instead in a few days from now." He smiled sweetly at Myria and mounted his other horse. "Are any of the prisoners injured?" Lucius asked. "No, apart from headaches, we're all fit." Myria replied. "Good!" said Lucius. "I'm sorry, I wasn't here to greet you, when you arrived with the noble emissaries, but I got sent away by the king." "So I was informed. Why did you come back on this day then?" Myria asked. "A terrible gut-feeling during the day and horrid dreams during the night." Lucius answered. "Hmm, you have the gift of premonition. Not many males got that." Myria said. "What happens now?" "Back to my house where we will make battle plans." Lucius replied. Preparing the getaway: When they got back Lucius introduced Blasius to Myria as his friend and associate and the three of them then sat down around the table in the living room, where Blasius had arranged some food and drinks. "After we set the Amazonian prisoners free." said Lucius. "My men and I will be named traitors by the king and his counsel. We will be hunted down and executed, unless we are protected. Is there anywhere that we can live as free men and still be protected by the Amazonian nation?" "Yes there is." Myria explained. "If we make back to Themiskyra, then you and your men can move up north of Amazonia and live in the nation of Gargareans, who are our friends and allies. The supremacy of females does not rule there and the citizens live more or less like they choose themselves." "The Amazons often travel op there to get impregnated by the local males and some Amazonians even take residence there, if they don't fit in with the lifestyle of the Amazons." "Good, that's settled then." said Lucius. "However, we need transportation back to Themiskyra. How do we contact the Amazon 'grass', who are working in the city?" "What is 'grass'?" Myria asked. "You know; spies, informers, whatever you Amazons call them." Lucius answered. "And don't tell you haven't got any in the city. You Amazons have been keeping tabs on us for several years now." "Oh, I see. I'll take care of that." Myria said. "What shall I tell them?" "Neither you nor I are leaving this house until tomorrow morning, when we return to the prison." said Lucius firmly. "Please instruct noble Blasius on how to contact them." Lucius didn't entirely trust Myria, if she was set free to seek out the Amazon grass on her own, then she would have no need of him any more. However Myria refused to give up any secrets regarding the spy network that supplied the Amazon nation with vital information. The arguments were starting to get heated, when suddenly there was a loud knock on the gate. Lucius got nervous and jumped up. "You go to the gate, Blasius". Lucius gave his sword to Myria and rushed to get his spare sword from his private chamber. "Master!" Blasius called him from the yard outside. "Two peasant girls from the market want to see you. A couple of very insisting young ladies." Lucius relaxed again and put his sword down on the table and went to the door to get rid of the peasant girls, who obviously wanted to peddle something. There was a young peasant girl at the door, who held a basket full of fruits in her hands. Lucius scolded her and told her to get lost, but then he suddenly froze. The young girl threw the basket aside and put a dagger against his genitals. "You got an Amazon prisoner in your custody." her voice was very cold. "Hand her over now and she better be unharmed or else you die slowly!" He could now see that the other peasant girl held to knife to the throat of Blasius. "Eh, eh, oh." Lucius was speechless from fear and could only utter mute noises. Instead he waved Myria forward. "What is it, you morons?" Myria was irritated. "Captain Myria of the Queen's Royal Cavalry?" the peasant girl called to Myria. "Yep, that's me." Myria started to giggle and came to the door. "I should have guessed that you were keeping the prison under surveillance and would follow us here." She took Lucius by the ear and pulled it as if he was a schoolboy, which she reprimanded. "You need not scold me anymore to contact the Amazon 'grass', they have contacted us." "Welcome girls." she said to the Amazons. "You can put the knifes away, cause these male are perfectly harmless." "Won't you come inside, please." Lucius said. "We should coordinate our battle plans, so we don't get in each others way." Myria introduced Lucius and Blasius to the Amazon 'grass'. "Is that Lucius?" one of the Amazon girls looked him over. "I thought you were taller and prettier too." "Umm, nice ass." the other girl was looking at Blasius. The two Amazon girls seemed very young. They couldn't have been more than 16 and they had problems with keeping focussed on their jobs. But they finally settle down around table and Lucius began explaining his battle plan. "Myria and I will return to the prison in the morning at sunrise as I agreed with the prison captain. They will suspect nothing and most of guards will properly still be drunk or down with hangover. Then Blasius will show up with a platoon of soldiers and fetch the prisoners." "You girls have to supply the uniforms. So if you would be so kind to knock some barbarians over the head - and no blood please and make sure that the bodies are not discovered until we are in the clear. We will need 8 of these uniforms but leave the officers be. Nobody takes any notice if some barbarian privates have gone AWOL, but officers won't go unnoticed. Instead Blasius will wear my uniform and lead the platoon." "We will rendezvous at the eastern gate. You Amazons need to have the transportation ready at sunrise and if the towers at the city gate are manned, then you have to shoot them down, before we arrive." "Are you planning to storm the prison and free the prisoners?" one of the Amazon girls asked. "No way." Lucius replied. "They are gonna hand over the prisoners to Blasius and his platoon of soldiers. I'll write the transfer order myself, but as long as it bears the king's seal, anything goes." "Can you counterfeit the king's seal?" Myria asked. "No, we need to borrow the king's seal to make it work." Lucius answered. "Now, here comes the tricky part." "Blasius, do you know any of the servants or slaves at the palace?" "Yes, Master Lucius!" Blasius replied. "As it happens, I got one slave on my list, who serves at the royal palace." "Oh, I thought that any slave would dream of a position at the palace" Lucius said. "He has personal reasons to be discontent and unhappy." Blasius answered. "Very well then." Lucius said. "You'll bring the transfer order for the prisoners to the palace and make sure, that he uses the king's seal. Once this is done, we are more or less in the clear." "Remember that secrecy is the key to success on our endeavour. If your contact at the palace shows any signs of second thoughts, you must silence him without hesitation. Is that clear? "Yes, master." the voice of Blasius was dark. He had never killed a man, but knew what was expected of him. "What do you ladies think?" Lucius asked. "Do you have something else in mind?" "Myria." said one of the Amazon girls. "You are the highest ranking officer, so you will have to decide! Do you go for the plan of your Homian liaison?" "Hmm." she thought for a little while. "Yes, I do! Lucius could get me out by sweet-talking and throwing money on the table and he can do it again. Once the prisoners are free, then here is nothing holding us back and we can fight our way home, if we have to." "Right, that's settled then." the Amazon grass said. "Do you need anything else?" "Yes, please!" Lucius said. "If you would send a fast rider up north and catch up with Varus and the senators. They must be warned of the situation here and I fear for their lives." Lucius gave them the route up north which Varus and the senators were going. "What about your family? Do you want us to evacuate them?" the Amazon grass asked. "That's a noble thought." Lucius said. "But my parents are too old to move now. If you can get the word to Varus, then he might able to protect them." Lucius wrote the fake transfer order on a scroll and the letter to Varus, in which he explained the tragic situation of their country. Then Blasius and the Amazon grass left his house to get on with their businesses. Lucius and Myria were left by themselves for a while, but he wasn't that stupid to suggest that they should have sex, while they waited for their associates to return. "Are the emissaries trained warriors?" Lucius asked. "You know that Blasius and his merry men can't fight at all." "The emissaries will fight if they have to." Myria said. "One of them was a decent archer in her younger days." "Archer!" Lucius said. "That's good to know. We could well use her skills." Blasius was the first to return with the transfer order bearing the kings seal and the runaway slave from the palace. "Look here!" Lucius triumphantly held up the transfer orders as if it was the victor's laurels. He felt that victory was now ensured. Blasius went out again and Lucius instructed him to bring the rest of the servants and slaves back in small groups of three to avoid suspicion. Blasius then quickly brought back 'fresh recruits' for their campaign. Lucius installed them in his living room, where there were still food and drink on the table. Lucius entertained the men and got to know a little about their background. They were mostly artisans; potters, sculptures and carpenters. They carried bruises and scars, which clearly indicated, that they often had been beaten. The slave from the palace was a scrivener and he seemed unscathed. However, his scars and bruises were maybe more intimate, but that was not Lucius' business. Later the Amazon grass returned with the uniforms including shields, swords and armour. "One more ting, noble Amazonians." Lucius said. "Could you please bring us a decent bow with a quiver full of arrows?" The Amazons looked at Myria, who nodded her head. Lucius acted as if he was in charge of the operation, but his orders had to be approved by Myria. Next time that Blasius returned, he announced that they were gonna be two men short. One had already run away and the other was dead - beaten to death by his cruel master. "Should I try and find some replacements?" Blasius asked. "No, that will be risky." replied Lucius. "Here's what you do. Go to the city Agora." (Central marketplace in ancient Greece). "There you will find two men, who always hang around there looking for work." "But they are assassins, master! We can't use them." Blasius knew exactly who he was talking about. "They are gentlemen, who sometimes take on 'odd jobs'." Lucius said. "But they are true to their word and are always discreet and that's why we can use them on this day." "Besides, two more swordsmen will be mighty handy, if we should end up in a scrape and have to fight our way out of the city." As they had run out of brave amateurs to help them on their endeavour, it was now time to call on the professionals to fill their ranks. So Lucius gave a pouch filled with money to Blasius, because the two professionals always wanted a down payment, when they took a new job. Lucius instructed him not to reveal anything except there would be danger and possible bloodshed. Blasius came back with two men, who looked in their early thirties. They wore discreet civilian clothes, which would make them blend in with the crowd anywhere. "Gentlemen, when you enter my house, there is no turning back." Lucius met them at the gate. "We have taken the money of your associate, that means we will finish the job, whatever it is." said one of the assassins. "Why all the secrecy, good sir?" the other assassin asked. "Are we gonna kill the king or something?" "He-he, that's tempting, but no!" Lucius answered. "This is a mission for true gentlemen: We are gonna rescue some damsels in distress." "Now, please come inside, we need to get prepared." As they now had the numbers to make up appearances of a platoon, it was time to try to teach them the basic knowledge on how to march in a straight line. So everybody went to the stables to start the drilling of the new 'recruits'. Lucius changed clothes with Blasius because he would act as the officer of the platoon. The rest of the men changed into the uniforms, which were provided by the Amazon grass. Then Lucius lined the men up with Blasius in front and the rest of the men behind lined up in two columns. Myria was placed in between the to columns cause she was to act as the Amazon prisoners. "This soldiering business is really quite simple once you get into it." Lucius explained. "Just keep trotting in the footsteps of the man in front of you." "My noble friend and associate Blasius will act as the officer, so just follow him through the city, once they have released the Amazonian prisoners to us." "No one knows the city streets better than Blasius, so he will safely guide us to the eastern city gate without getting lost." "You honour me, master." Blasius said. "Stop calling me 'master'!" Lucius barked at him. "If you ever do that after we leave this house tomorrow, then you'll jeopardize the whole operation." "What shall I call you then?" Blasius asked. "'Moron' is what you call him." Myria giggled. "'Sir' is what you call me or 'moron' if you like - anything except 'master'." Lucius answered. In the next couple of hours, Lucius trained the men to march in a straight line. He instructed Blasius to call out these simple commands: "Forward march!" for going forward. "Company halt!" this means stop. "About turn!" the men would turn around. "Forward march!" going forward again. The men of course had no idea on how to march in a straight line and kept stepping on each others toes and heels - except the two professionals, who apparently had been in the army. Therefore he placed them in front of the two columns. The merry men had not learned much, but they were to act as barbarians, who just recently had put on a uniform, so they make up appearances just nicely. When Lucius thought that they had drilled enough, he called it a day and invited them back to the house to eat dinner. The Amazon grass also came back with the bow and arrows and Lucius invited them to stay, because it was getting dark soon and due to the curfew, no one were allowed to roam the streets after dark. Lucius and Blasius took out all eatable foodstuffs from the pantry and they prepared the food, while the rest of the men and the Amazons entertained themselves in the living room. They kept their voices muted, so they could not be heard from the street. At the dinner, Lucius served only water and tea, although he had vine in the house, but alcohol should never be served before an important mission. When it got dark, Lucius ordered, that only a few lights would be lit, so his house would appear to be empty except for his caretaker Blasius. When they had finished eating, he ordered the men to go and sleep in the stable. Lucius apologized to the runaway slaves and servants, that they had to spend their first night in freedom locked up in a stable, but secrecy came before delicacy. Blasius would sleep at the door to make sure that no one stole away into the night. The Amazon grass would sleep in the living room, while Myria and Lucius retired to the bedroom. Lucius making passes at Myria: His bed was big enough for the both of them and he sat on a stool, while he undressed himself and Myria sat on bed. "Will you come and see me in nation of Gargareans?" Lucius began. "And sit on your face? Yes sure." Myria smiled at him. "And I liked your letter, by the way. It was explicit and straight to the point but also kind of cute. I bet the emissaries were laughing their asses off, when you dictated the letter to them." "That's right, they thought it was quite funny. But you took your own sweet time getting here." Lucius said. "Well, some of us have got a job to do! I can't just run off, whenever some pathetic lovesick male is beckoning." Myria replied. "Yes of course, I didn't mean no disrespect." Lucius spoke humbly. When Myria told him earlier, that also Amazonians lived in the nation of Gargareans, an idea had emerged in his mind. Lucius was now ready to make his bold move. "Perhaps you would like to come along with me to the nation of Gargareans and live together, you know, like husband and wife?" "Lucius, what is this?" Myria barked at him. "It is called proposal." said Lucius. "Should I get down on my knees?" "NO! Keep your ass in your seat. Why do you utter these absurd words?" Myria couldn't believe her ears. "We could have a life." Lucius explained. "You can sit on my face anytime you like and I will do whatever you want me to do. I'm very easy to get along with." "Says who?" Myria snapped at him. "My mother." said Lucius. "Yah, right." Myria snapped at him again. "Well, I won't get in your face, but you can get in mine as much as you like." Lucius tried to be funny. "Get to the point!" Myria sharpened her voice and Lucius almost jumped off his seat. "And if things don't work out, then we're both adults. You can just move back to Amazonia and we can live apart and see each other whenever it's convenient - like Skadi and Njord." "There is only one adult present, you moron." she thought to herself. They hadn't freed the emissaries yet, but Lucius was already preoccupied with securing his sex-life. "You see, Skadi and Njord were never happy." Lucius continued. "Because they tried to fit into each others worlds, where they certainly didn't belong. Instead they should have settled down on neutral ground. But we can do better for ourselves and I think we could be happy together in the nation of Gargareans." "What would make me 'happy' is to see you choke on your own genitals." Myria thought to herself. "Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves." she said in a friendly tone. "We can discuss this matter, when we get to Themiskyra. There you can present your ideas to the queen." "And whatever her decision is, I'm fine with that." Myria of course expected queen Heta to put her foot down and refuse Lucius' idiotic proposal. Although Lucius wasn't that bad looking - for a male, she was not in love with him. He reminded her mostly of a large drooling dog, which wagged his tail every time he saw her. Quite cute and a handy sex toy to have around for a little while, but not someone she would like to spend her days with. "Quite right, I was getting ahead of myself, please forgive me!" Lucius said humbly. "I shall concentrate on the job and speak none of it again until we bring the emissaries safely back to Themiskyra." However, now it was time to put on a little make-up. "Lucius, come here." Myria purred and stood up. She gently put her hand behind his neck and pretended that she was gonna kiss him, but instead she butted him on the side of his face. "Arhh." Lucius cried out. "Hold still." she butted him on the other side of the face. "Am I being punished?" Lucius asked. "No, sweetie." Myria replied. "This plan of yours is crude and pathetic, but it might just work. However, because you are an ignorant male, you will of course fuck it all up yourself, if you didn't have a brainy female around to guide you." "If you had your way, you would show up in the morning with your face all smeared in my pussy juice, while I would have a sated smile on my face, after you serviced me orally all night long. But that's not gonna work, you moron!" "We are supposed to be deadly enemies and not allies. Now hit me in the face." Myria sat down again on the bed Lucius gave her a slap with the back of his hand. "Now, what's that for a pathetic sissy slap? I obviously have to do everything myself." Myria banged her face hard against the table by the bed. "No, don't!" Lucius was scared that she would do permanent damage to her face. "I'll hit you." This time he concentrated and slapped her hard across the face. "Not good enough, you moron." she scolded him. "Use your fists, you wimp." It was revolting for him to hit a woman, but he did as he was told and punched her hard a couple of times across the face - carefully avoiding hitting the nose. Myria could feel her lips were beginning to swell and blood was tickling from the lower lip. "Not impressive, but that will have to do. Now hold still, we need to work a little more on your face." she got up again and took a firm grip at his hair and put her nails in his face and made some deep scratches. Lucius grunted from the pain, but remain still with his hands behind his back. "You can take the pain - that's cute." Myria complimented him for once. "Now you look absolutely adorable, my dear." Myria cooed. "Now, I just need one more thing from you. Wank yourself off, I need your sperm." Lucius sat down on the stool, removed his underwear and started to stroke his flaccid cock, which didn't react to his strokes. "Get on with it or I'll cut ..." Myria didn't finish the sentence, because she remembered from their first encounter at Themiskyra, that this kind of talk had the opposite effect on Lucius. Instead she decided to encourage him in a more courteous manner. "Lucius, look here." Myria said. Then she slowly lifted her dress up and exposed her thighs. She then began to caress herself, while she looked him straight in the eyes. Lucius got mesmerized by her actions and his cock began to grow. She lifted her dress further and removed her underwear. Then she showed him her pussy and spread her pussy-lips wide apart. "Behold my lovely pussy temple." she purred. "It awaits your humble worshipping, if you can behave yourself and do as you told - like a good little boy." Lucius was now stroking his cock faster and faster while he was breathing heavily. It would not take long before he would come. He did actually look quite cute with his face full of bruises and that docile and horny look in his eyes, which showed that he was completely under her spell. "Don't come just now, you don't have my permission to come yet. You must hold it back until I'm ready." Myria was now getting horny herself and wanted to finish before him. Lucius immediately stopped stroking his cock. The sight of him with the fully erect cock with pre-come oozing from the tip, while he kept his arms down the side like they were limped, aroused her immensely. She overcame the strong temptation to order him to lick her pussy. She knew that she was the one had to keep her cool, if they were to free the emissaries in the morning. She leaned back on the bed, while she frigged her pussy with one hand and the other crept up under her dress and caressed her erect nipples. She spread her legs vide as she was getting near to a massive orgasm. Then she fell back on the bed, when her orgasm started. Her arms and legs started to twitch and soon her whole body was shaking, when she had a very intense orgasm that hit her like a big wave. Then she curled up and purred, while she enjoyed the aftermath of her mighty orgasm. Finally she gained her senses and sighed. It was now time to perform the dirty work. "Go on. Now you may come." she told him. After just took a few strokes to his cock, it exploded in a massive eruption of sperm, which spurted out in his hand. Myria got up and scraped the sperm from his hand. She smeared most of his sperm around her mouth. The rest she smeared on her throat and wiped her hand clean in her dress. She also tore up her dress up a little to make up appearances that she had been in a fight. "Disgusting!" Myria's face was contorted with disgust. "My best party gown - all ruined. I want a new dress, when we get back to Themiskyra." "And I shall personally buy it for you. Is my drachmas (currency in ancient Greece) even valid in Amazonia?" "Well of course they are, you moron." Myria scolded him. "Ignorant males! You have money, but you have no manners and you have no culture." "Quite right, my dear Myria. Quite right." Lucius did not wish to start an argument. Now their disguises were indeed perfect. With the bruises in her face and swollen lips with sperm smeared all around them, everyone would think that Lucius had beaten her up and then raped her in her mouth and throat. And on the other hand the bruises in his face clearly showed that she had put up a vigorous fight, before he had his way with her. The two of them laid down on the bed. For a while the two of them just lay silent. Then she noticed that he was looking at her. "Can't sleep?" she asked. "No. My face aches." he said. "Well, if it's any consolation, I feel the same pain as you and on top of that, I got the stench of your filthy excrements on my face. But I can still rest my body without sleeping." she explained. "Will you please teach me how?" he asked. Myria taught him how to breathe deep and slow, while he meditated over how to complete the mission of the morning successfully. Escape from Thermodonus: At the morning muster, people was pretty chocked to see the bruises in their faces, but Myria could reassure that their nightly exchange of bruises were all for queen and country and not personal. They ate the leftovers from the dinner for breakfast and then it was time to leave. Lucius emptied his chest for his last money and packed some clothes and personal stuff for his hygiene plus the bow and quiver of arrows on his horses. He strapped his spare sword to his side and strapped his shield on his back. He also hid a dagger inside his civilian clothes. Lucius possessed nothing of value except some vases and sculptures, which were gifts from his family. Therefore he politely asked the Amazon grass to bring them back to his family, when they had made it safely out of the city. He also informed the Amazon grass, that they should help themselves to anything, which they could use from his home. His house would most likely be confiscated or burnt-down to the ground, once it was discovered that he had set the Amazon prisoners free. Myria painted Blasius' face with soot from the stove so he wouldn't be recognized. The two professionals also painted each others faces simultaneous, which was normal procedure for them prior to a job. The sun was just coming up, when they left the home of Lucius. First Blasius and his platoon went out. The march from his home to the prison would give the men a little extra rehearsal time. Lucius firmly instructed Blasius to keep his mouth shut at all times on their way to the prison. If they passed another platoon, then he should just silently salute them and if he was spoken too, then he should grunt something and be off. "You would do well to replace Blasius with one of the professionals, when we meet up at the prison." Myria said. "I know he's your friend, but he is only a brave amateur." She had spotted right away, that both the professionals were better suited for the job. "No way." Lucius refused. "Blasius has performed his tasks admirable so far. To order him to step down would be a major insult." "Besides, it's unwise to replace officers without warning prior to a battle. It will cause unrest among the ranks." "I'm still the commanding officer and as you are second in command, you will follow my orders." "You are only in command as long as I see fit!" Myria said firmly. "On this we agree." Lucius spoke humbly. "However, I implore you, noble Myria, to let me handle the liberation of the emissaries, just to keep up appearances. It would mean a lot to a lot of people if Homia would redeem itself by freeing the emissaries." "When this is done, I will gladly step down at any time that you see fit and after we leave Thermodonus, I will be under your command anyway." "If we loose the lives of emissaries 'on your watch', then I will be compelled to kill you!" Myria spoke coldly. "You need not to bother about killing me. That I will take care of myself." Lucius spoke in a neutral voice. "Should the emissaries die on us, then I have failed and then I shall kill myself and I will also make sure, that Blasius is not taken alive." "Very well then." Myria eased up a bit. "Let's be on our way, Lucius." After finishing arguing about Blasius, Myria and Lucius put on their rope and cape to avoid being recognized in the street and rode off. Their timing was pretty good, they passed Blasius' platoon, just before they reached the prison. When they arrived, they all gathered in a small alley, so they couldn't be seen from the prison. Lucius pulled Blasius and Myria aside, so he could give them the last minute briefing. "When Myria and I go inside, you count to 100, then you knock on the gate." Lucius instructed Blasius. "When you get inside, speak as little as possible and just show the transfer orders. And remember you don't know us, so don't speak to us at all." "If they ask questions, you just refer to the transfer orders and apart from that, you don't know nothing. Don't try to improvise and make up stories, just keep silent." "If we end up in peril, then we will take on this battle plan." Lucius had a backup plan just in case things got out of hand inside the prison. "First I use my concealed dagger to I cut you loose, Myria. Do you know the face of the key-holder?" "Yes, I got his stupid face branded in my brain." Myria said. "Good. I'll cut the throat of the prison captain, then you draw my sword and go straight for the key-holder." "Then I draw your sword, Blasius and then you run outside and call in the two professionals to help us finish the rest of the prison guards." "Now you're talking!" This was exactly what Myria would like to hear. "We should undertake this strategy right away." "No!" Lucius said firmly. "Uh, what's the matter?" Myria regarded Lucius as soft-hearted. "Are you scared of shedding the blood of you own people?" "Soon, they are not my people anymore and I will shed their blood, if I have to." Lucius was ready to shed the blood of any man at any time to finish the mission. "But we don't know when the real prisoner transport arrives. If they find the prison drenched in blood, then they will sound the alarm on us right away." "However, if we manage to leave with the prisoners without shedding blood, then when the real prisoner transport arrives, they will start arguing and their confusion will help us escape the city unnoticed." "Whatever!" Myria shrug her shoulders. They were still in Lucius' domain, so she let him have his way. "All right, this is it!" Lucius finished talking. "Any questions?" Both Myria and Blasius shook their heads. "Very well, may the goods smile upon us." Lucius and Myria removed their rope and cape and Lucius tied her securely with leather cords. Then Lucius took a firm hold of Myria's hair and they marched up to the prison. Lucius banged at the prison gate. There was a distinctive stench of puke just outside the gate. "Who's there?" the voice came from the hatch of the gate. "I have returned the Amazon prisoner as promised." Lucius said. "Come inside then, good Sir." the prison guard answered. There was a heavy stench of drinking inside the prison. In the corner stood a barrel of beer, which the prison guards had bought for his money. A couple of privates were still sleeping on the floor and the prison captain was still drunk and half naked. "Myria was actually right." Lucius thought to himself. "If they used one of the assassins as the officer of the prison transport, then the three of them could easily have cut the prison guards down before they even knew what hit them." however, this was not the way that Lucius would go about things. "I believe that I specifically ordered you to keep her tied up at all time during her stay at your home." the prison captain had noticed the bruises in Lucius' face. "Well, I eh.." Lucius pretended to be embarrassed. "I couldn't get her clothes off, when she was all tied up." "Really? you should just had ripped them off. The Amazons are going into the arena stark-naked, anyways." the prison captain said. "The ways of the gentleman is totally wasted on a barbarian Amazon." "I hope that you have learned your lesson now, good sir?" one of the privates said. "Yes I have. And so has she!" Lucius said and giggled. The prison guards started laughing as they noticed the bruises in Myria's face and the traces of sperm round her mouth. Myria shouted some obscenities that even made Lucius blush. "Well, she still got a sharp tongue, even though you greased her throat. Let's get her back in the cell to cool off." the prison captain said. "You're welcome to help yourself to a couple of beers. After all you paid for them." one of the privates courteously said. But then there were a loud knock on the prison gate. "What? Who can that be at this hour?" the prison captain said and waved one of the privates to the door. Blasius introduced himself and give to transfer order to the private through the hatch of the prison gate. "Hold your horses with the loud-mouthed Amazon." the private said and let Blasius in. "The prison transport is here. "Urgh! At this hour?" the prison captain got his clothes back on to make himself presentable. "I'm here for the Amazon prisoners." Blasius said and saluted the prison captain. The prison captain didn't bother to read the transfer paper. Instead, he examined the king's seal on it and then threw it on the table. Then he kicked the sleeping privates awake and told them to make themselves useful. The prison guards lined the Amazon prisoners up starting with Myria and tied them to a long wooden pole by the throats. The prison guards used swords and spears to drive the Amazons from the cells to the wooden pole. They seemed to be afraid of the captives although their hands were still tied. The Amazons didn't too much resistance when being tied to the pole, but just enough to make up appearances, because they knew that Myria and Lucius had planned their escape. Lucius leaned back against the wall and drank a beer, while he looked indifferent at the spectacle played out in front of him. On the surface he looked calm, but inside he was trampling. He felt extremely woundable, because his 'troops' were securely ties up to the wooden pole and he wouldn't be able to free them, if their scheme was blown while they still were inside the prison. Finally all the Amazons were securely tied to the pole by the throats the prison captain gave the rope by the end of the pole to Blasius and saluted him. Blasius gave a hard tug on the leash and marched the Amazons off. Lucius slowly finished his beer while he calmed his nerves. When the prison door closed behind Blasius and the Amazons, Lucius felt relived as if a stone fell from his heart. He savoured the last of the beer and put the mug on the table. He didn't know it then, but it would be his last beer in quite sometime. Then he made ready to leave the prison. "Just a minute!" the prison captain called to him. Lucius froze and put his hand to the handle of the dagger, which he had hidden inside his clothes. "Your money, good sir." the prison captain said. Lucius eased up. "Oh, yes. The money." But instead of taking the remains of his money, he whispered to the prison captain's ear. "Keep the money, good sir. Let's call it compensation for disobeying your direct order." "You're very generous, good Sir!" The prison captain was impressed with Lucius' indifference about his money and discreetly slipped the porch of money inside his clothes. "You must have enjoyed yourself. "Oh yes, I did. But now I have chores to attend to." Lucius said. "And I'm sure, that you got yours to attend to as well." Lucius almost felt sorry for the prison captain, who thought he had struck gold, but would most likely be executed before the end of the day for having accidentally set the Amazon prisoners free. When Lucius got outside the prison, Blasius and the rest of the men were well underway with the Amazons. As soon as they had moved down the street and couldn't be seen from the prison, the men got the Amazons loose from the wooden pole so it would slow them down. Apart from the men acted up as guarding the captive Amazons as the proceeded through the streets of Thermodonus. Lucius fetched his houses and walked discreetly behind the column. "Amazon scum!" the passer-bys in the street threw stones and horse- shit at the Amazons. Lucius had instructed the men to lock their shields to separate the Amazons from the crowd so no one could hit or stab them, but the ladies still had to take a lot of heat for their freedom. Suddenly Blasius turned right and they headed for the eastern gate. Lucius was anxious and kept looking behind, but everything seemed to be going well. He could almost see the gate by now. But then the Blasius and the column suddenly stopped. A platoon of Homian soldiers was blocking the street and the officer had put his arm up and commanded Blasius to stop. "Fuck!" Lucius let go of his horses and rushed forward to Blasius. "Step back. I'll do the talking." Lucius said and ordered Blasius to cut the Amazons loose and arm them and then stay with his horses. "I am Lieutenant Lucius of the Honoured Legion." Lucius presented himself. "Has the army of Homia nothing better to do these days than 'street-walking'?" "Well-well-well. If it isn't the little lieutenant." the captain said. "Didn't recognize you there without your 'colours of cowards'. Are you now baby-sitting Amazon scum, now that your pathetic senate is gone?" "Why are you and your men blocking the street, good sir?" Lucius ignored his insults. "This platoon escorting the Amazon prisoners has apparently lost its way, because they are supposed to go to the arena and not out of the city." the Homian captain said. "These unfortunate Amazonians were misplaced inside the prison and these noble citizens have taken it upon themselves to put things right. As the Amazonian emissaries are no longer welcome here, they should go home unharmed. And as you are an officer and gentleman, I know that you will agree." Lucius was keen on using diplomacy before actual combat. "There is no way I'm gonna let these Amazon scums walk away today. the enemy Captain said. "I lost both my younger brothers in the Appian pass. Its time for the Amazons to suffer for their sins." "Torturing and killing unarmed emissaries will not bring your brothers back, you thick-headed moron. It will only cause more Homian death and suffering!" it seems that Lucius' diplomacy wasn't really working. "I trust our wise and noble king. Now, hand over the prisoners or you will join them in the arena." "Then you leave me no choice; I will run you through today and unite you with your beloved brothers." Lucius had made his mind up that it now was time to fight the enemy captain and his platoon. The enemy platoon counted six 'grandpas' (including the captain) with 12 'grandchildren'. Although outnumbered, Lucius did not fear the upcoming battle, because he had far better warriors at his disposal. The males had given their weapons to the Amazons except the two professionals and the warriors stepped up to Lucius - including the two emissaries. The Amazons had taken helmets on, but there were no time to put on the rest of the amour. "Have you not yet finished talking - now is the time for fighting." Myria was getting impatient and wanted to see some action. "All in good time, noble Myria, all in good time. The street is a bit narrow, so we'll fight them in a formation of six." Lucius said. He lined the warriors up with the two professional on his right and the three Amazons on his left. "What about us?" one of the emissaries barked at him. "I can still fight - better than you anyway." "Noble emissaries. I would never doubt your fighting skills, but the street is too narrow for all of us to fight in the formation." Lucius humbly said. "And we need you to deal with any enemy that breaks our formation and you are also in charge of guarding our rear." "Do what he says." Myria discreetly approved his orders. "Young lads. Clear out of here!" Lucius called out to the 'grandchildren' of the enemy platoon. "This fight does not concern you. I was once 16 like you and just as stupid, so I know the drill; First they fill you up with bullshit and then they send you out to die and you don't even know why!" "Anyone who breaks formation will be reported as a deserter and executed." The enemy captain barked at his troops. "Don't listen to him, he is never gonna report anything - anymore." Lucius called back. "Well, ladies and gentlemen. Charge!" Lucius rushed forward, followed by his troops and he went straight for the enemy captain. Lucius kept his cool and let his opponent take the first swing. When he did, Lucius blocked it with his sword instead of his shield as his opponent would expect, then he quickly spun around and hit his opponent over the knee with the edge of his shield. The enemy captain howled from the pain and fell to his knee. Then Lucius thrusted his sword deep into the base of his throat, which was unprotected by his amour. These moves were a bit risky when fighting in formation, but Lucius was careful not to hit his fellow fighters. The lifeless form of his enemy fell to the ground, but Lucius' sword got stuck and relying on his instincts in combat, he just let it go and reached behind his neck to draw his spare sword, but froze when he grabbed empty air. "Sword!" Lucius called out and raised his empty and to signal he needed a new weapon, but he stayed in formation and banged his shield against the new opponent he now was facing. The Amazon next to him immediately saw his peril and made a combined move of banging her sword in her right hand against her opponent, who had to step back from the blow, while she handed the sword in the left hand to Lucius. Like many other Amazons, she preferred to fight with a weapon in both hands instead of using a heavy shield. Lucius grabbed her sword and swung his shield against his opponent, while he jumped into the air and thrusted the sword into the head of his enemy, who didn't manage to raise his own shield in time, before Lucius drove his sword through the mouth of his opponent. He banged the dead man back with his shield and then he went for the opponent of the Amazon next to him. She had already winged him and was about to finish him, when Lucius cut his leg. As he went down, the Amazon drove her sword into his neck. Then the fight was over. When the young lads saw how quickly the Amazons with their 'prison guards' had decimated the first lines of their formation, they broke ranks and fled. "Good moves, noble Amazon." Lucius bowed to the Amazon, who had assisted him and handed the sword back. "Someone forgot to get properly dressed for battle this morning!" she said and gave him a little slap on the neck. "That's why civilized people fight in formation instead of fighting duels on the battlefield." Lucius was cocky now, that he had shown his valour in combat. "That's why Amazons fight in formation, you hapless males are only trying." the Amazon was not impressed with his performance. "Only brawlers make spinning moves when fighting in formation. But the outcome was not bad, though." There were eight soldiers lying dead in the street; the six 'grandpas' with two 'grandchildren'. "Anyone winged?" Myria checked the warriors. "The street is cleared, let's go home now." Their troops didn't even get scratched during the fight. Lucius wrenched his sword free of the dead captain and continued with the rest of his war-party down the street. He had kind of hoped that Myria would have shown the honour of fighting next to him in the formation, but Myria knew better. The commanding officers should never stand to close in combat in case they both should fall simultaneous in an arrow-rain or similar. However their troubles were far from over yet. The gatekeepers at the eastern gate were alerted by the skirmish in the street and proceeded to close the gate to keep the prisoners and their helpers from escaping. "Shit, they are closing the gate on us." The voice of Lucius grew desperate. "Archer! Step forward." "Shoot the two men at the gate down now. If they manage to lock the gate and break the key in the lock, then we are trapped." "But no Amazon can shoot straight with this Homian crap." the emissary with the bow stepped forward, but she didn't shoot. "This 'Homian crap' is what you have been issued, soldier!" Lucius was furious and scolded the emissary. "Stop wining and get on with it ... ugh." Myria put her hand over his mouth and with the other hand she grabbed his balls firmly and gave them a hard squeeze. "Scolding an emissary! How dare you? Where are your manners?" she said to him. "Now back off, I'll take over from here. You're dismissed!" "Please disregard this brute male, he's ignorant and with no manners, but there's truth in his words." Myria spoke softly to the Amazon archer. "Now concentrate and use your unique skills, the man on the right is holding the keys. Take him out first and then his partner." "I'm sorry, but I can't do it." the emissary said. "It's not the bow, my eyes are too old and I can't see them clearly. They are just flickering figures too far away." "Just do your best." Myria softly said. The emissary put an arrow on the bow, but before she got to draw the bow, the key-holder collapsed with an arrow through his neck. His partner froze and stepped back. Then he stepped towards the dead key- holder to get his keys, but he got an arrow in his throat. One of the Amazon grass waved at them from a window above them. She had taken position, where she could keep an eye on the gate. She signalled that the coast was clear now. The Amazons and their 'prison guards' rushed to the city gate. The two professionals knew well the gatekeepers and the mechanism, which opened and closed the city gate. They had often bribed their way out of the city after nightfall, when they had business outside the city at nigh - and back in, when they had finished the 'wet' job, (assassination). One of the professionals started the mechanism and the heavy chains started to move with a loud rattling sound and the gate slowly started to open. As soon as there were some space between two doors of the gate, Myria stepped forward and leaned out to look outside. "Halt!" Lucius grabbed her arm to hold her back and swung his shield up in front of her face. His premonition was correct. With a loud twang an arrow landed in his shield, which snapped back and hit Myria in the face. "My nose!" Myria howled from the pain, while a small stream of blood oozed from her nose. "Will you bastard cunts watch who you're shooting at!" Myria had noticed that it was an Amazon arrow that Lucius had taken with his shield. "Loose the helmet." Lucius said. "They're shooting at the helmet." One trigger-happy Amazon had taken the shot as soon as she saw the Homian helmet at the gate. Some muffled shouts of excuses came from the outside. As Amazons usually would shoot first and ask questions later, Myria wouldn't have been the first to fall due to 'friendly fire' from Amazons. "Hold your fire. We're coming out now." Myria shouted and threw the helmet to the ground. "Anyone even thinking of shooting, will have her quiver of arrows showed up the ass." Outside the gate a platoon of Amazon horsewomen were waiting with spare horses to escort them to the Amazon capital Themiskyra. Lucius mounted one of his own horses and towed the other behind. The rest of Amazons and Homians jumped on the spare horses and they all quickly rode off. Lucius was still very anxious and kept looking behind him, expecting to se a flock of pursuers riding out the gate, but nothing happened. "You can relax now, Homian." one of their escorts said. "We will not be pursued - not by horsemen, any ways." "See that black smoke coming from different places in town! Our people on the inside set their stables on fire and let loose their horses. It will take a while before they are rounded up and before they can organize a war-party to pursue us, we will be safely back in Themiskyra." The Amazon grass had obviously organized a perfect diversion by starting fires at the stables and at the same time securing their escape by letting the horses loose. After a few hours ride, they stopped at a lake to let their horses drink and refresh themselves. The emissaries and their bodyguards - including Myria undressed to wash their clothes clean of the horseshit that they had taken back in Thermodonus. "Gentlemen." Lucius settled the account with the two assassins. "I relieve from your task now. How much do I owe you?" "Nothing!" one of the professionals said. "You need the money more than we do, so just keep it." "The down payment that we received from your associate is more than enough to cover our expenses to travel up north and start a business there. "Although we usually charge money for our services, we love our country too and we are honoured to have served under you, Lieutenant Lucius." The two assassins had turned into patriots in their country's hour of need. "Do you really think you can fit in with these Amazons?" the other assassin said. "They have promised freedom for me and all my men." Lucius said. "I will take my change with them, as they have been true to their word so far." "Well, if it doesn't work out between you and your newfound Amazon allies, don't hesitate to head up north." the other assassin said. "Please remember this; men of quality are always in demand up there and that includes you, Lieutenant Lucius. Take care now and best of luck." They shed the uniforms and put on their civilian clothes, then they saluted him and rode off. After sending the two professionals on their way, Lucius quickly undressed himself. He didn't give a shit, that everyone saw him stark naked. Myria was in the water and he was going to join her. Myria saw him coming to the water. She didn't like that determined look on his face, so she swam further out in the lake, where her feet couldn't reach the bottom. But Lucius had also learned to swim and he swam out to her and then they treaded water in front of each other. "What?" Myria said. "We could have some privacy under the water." Lucius said. "You can get under if you like. One of us has to keep her head above the surface." Myria answered. Lucius went under the water and started to caress her nibbles with his tongue. He first held on to her by putting his hands on her buttocks, but she gently but firmly grabbed his hands by the wrists, because she only accepted his touches, if he used his tongue. When he ran out of air, he got his head above the surface. "More?" he asked, while he caught his breath. "Word of advice; when you are servicing an Amazon, you need not ask." Myria said. "She will courteously let you know, when she has had enough by kicking you away. Now return to your chores." "Say please!" he teased her. "The word 'please' is not in the Amazon vocabulary. Now get down between my legs." she grabbed his hair and forced him back under the water. He tried to manoeuvre his head in between her legs to service her pussy with his tongue, but it didn't work, because she went under herself, when she stopped treading water. Instead she pulled him back up and they swam towards the bank of the lake, where she could stand firmly with her feet on the bottom. Then she stood on the bottom with her legs spread and guided Lucius' head in between her legs, while she kept her own head above the surface. Lucius started to gently lick her pussy although he felt awkward being under water. Eventually he ran out of air, but Myria held him in place by squeezing his head between her thighs and holding his arms by the wrists. Lucius grew desperate for air and started kicking against the bottom with his legs, but it was all in vain. There were no way he could kick out of Myria's hold. Suddenly his body went limp, but Myria noticed it at once and pulled him above the surface. Lucius had lost consciousness, but she slapped him on the side of the face and then she banged him on his back with her fist. Lucius came through and started coughing up water. Myria had to keep him from stumbling by holding him by his hair. Lucius just giggled to himself and Myria smiled to her fellow Amazonians, when she got out of the water and the Amazonians giggled when they saw Lucius coming out of the water. The males turned their heads as if they were embarrassed to look at him. Lucius didn't notice at first, but he quickly noticed, that he had a huge hard-on from the events in the water. It was obvious to everyone present that Myria had a great influence on Lucius, but no-one knew whether they were going to be an 'item' and she had not yet made her mind up on what she was going to do about Lucius. The quickest route back to the Amazonian capital Themiskyra was going through the Appian mountains - more specific through the dreaded Appian pass, where the 5000 men strong Homian army had perished not even seven months ago. Lucius first grow cold at the foot of the pass, then he was freezing more and more and his teeth started to chatter as they went up the road to the pass. Lucius' whole body was soon shaking of fear and cold as if the ghosts of the 5000 Homian dead were waiting at top of the pass to tear his heart and eat his brains out. Even his horse felt uneasy going uphill, so Lucius leaned forward against its neck and whispered in its ear to sooth it and also catches some warmth from his horse at the same time. Myria noticed his terrible condition and rode up to him and gently rubbed his neck and whispered in his ear. "Let it go. They are all dead and buried. They can't hurt us now." Her kind words comforted him. When they had made it safely through the pass, his freezing let up. They were now entering the mainland of the Amazonian queendom and some strange new chapters were about to begin in the life of Lucius, former Lieutenant in the once Honoured Legion of Homia. To be continued.... Thus ends the 'Homians revisited' story, which is meant as a prelude to my main story. The tale of Lucius and Myria will continue in the 'Living in the shadow of Amazons' series.
