Brother verses Sister Combat XVIX by Buzz Haywood buzzhaywood@yahoo.com Buisness Now the record reads: 399 matches, Lauren 393, Buzz 6. At least I still have my Herritage Title. Pitman Pyke now had an undefeated streak of 668-0. Pyke had recently been booked in a non-title match with me. We had our match. Pyke squashed me in 48 seconds! Pyke proudly announced that he's now had 669 successful matches. The next night I requested another non-title bout with him. Such strenght. Such brutality. I only lasted 59 seconds this time. Soon, he was granted a title match. In that title bout I was close to losing. I gave him a low blow right in front of the ref and was disqualified at the 1 minute mark. Of course Pyke was granted a re-match. (He was now 688-0.) I'll admit it. I purposely got counted out at the 1:04 mark. Days later, Pyke piled up his 700th win. To punish me, I suppose, they gave Lauren a title shot. Thing is, my title would only be on the line for five minutes in this match. Lauren was happy about her title opportunity. She told me she would do whatever it takes to beat me before five minutes is up so for she could become champion. I told her I understand. And soon it was match time. And the bell rang. We locked up. She quickly took the advantage against me. She began punching me. In the face, the chin, and the head. Then she clotheslined me. Next she elbow dropped me and pinned me. One... Two... Kick Out. This was all done in the first twenty seconds! Up next, Lauren suplexed me! And she pinned me again, and only forty seconds had expired. Lauren was clearly trying to end it early. She had me pinned again. One... Two... Another kick out. Now Lauren climbed to the top rope. FLYING ELBOW DROP!!!! And she connected. Pin fall. One... Two... shoulder up. One minute had already gone by. So she put me in a Boston crab. Luckily was awfully close to the ropes. But still, it hurt. It was incredibly painful. We were already nearing the second minute. Almost... Yes! I got it!! Now Lauren had to break the hold. But she dragged me towards the center of the ring and covered me. One... Two... I turned to my side. Next up was a DDT! One... Two... I placed my foot on the rope. She gave me a snapmare. Minute three was here. She went for another pin. One... Two... Th- Shoulder up. My title was still safe, for now at least. She then applied a figure four leg lock on me. It was 3:18 into the match. I struggled to get loose. I tried to reverse it, but couldn't. The ref asked me if I wanted to submit. I said no. The ref kept checking to see if my shoulders were down. How was I going to get out of this? I was trapped. Stuck. Minute four was here. I was in too much pain and very exhausted. My shoulders went down, suddenly. The ref slapped the mat. One... Two... Thr- Shoulder up! But I was still stuck. 4:33 had passed. Lauren wasn't breaking the hold. I accept the fact that Lauren is stronger than me. I accept the fact that Lauren is tougher than I am. But I cannot accept her taking my championship belt away from me. Soon the five minute period was up. The match however continued. I submitted. Lauren won at 5:26. Now the record reads: 400 matches, Lauren 394, Buzz 6. My title was safe for now. Lauren totally dominated me throughout the entire 5 minutes and twentysix seconds. Most of you must be wondering what became of Annie and Randall. (Annie is my girlfriend and Randall is Lauren's boyfriend for those of you that forgot.) When I returned home I called her. I asked a buddy of mine where she was at. Lauren couldn't locate Randal either. My pal had hesitation in his voice. Not what I need at this point. Same thing with Lauren. Could it all just be a misunderstanding? I suppose we'll all find out in due time. I just hope it's all just in my head.
